Sometimes I don’t even want to do my personal training but after each session with Tyler Hunt I always feel stronger and empowered. This is also a great facility, great vibes and community feeling when you walk in and are greeted by the front desk.

This gym is really nice, there’s machines here that I hadn’t used before and my trainer Tyler Hunt is great. Really explains what we are doing, why and the result. Can be extra motivating and also knows when to dial it back either way it’s always a great time and I always get my moneys worth.

The reviewer before me is 100% correct. Come here when there’s a “basketball game” going on and you won’t find parking and your only way into the gym will be full of unsupervised children running around. It’s really irritating having to literally squeeze through groups of parents and teens simply to walk to the gym. There is no alternate entrance.
There are literally 2 bathrooms for the entire facility. Have fun sharing those with everyone at the basketball game too. Not sure why a basketball court is advertised as being part of this gym when you as a paying member can’t actually use it lol.
Oh and there’s no locker rooms. And no lockers. No lockers at all premium fitness facility, how can this be? Well, it’s cause it’s not that premium. It’s been “in progress” for over a year since it’s opened. Look closely at everything next time you’re there. Don’t get me wrong, it’s super nice, but it just seems a little tacky and slapped together when you start examining things. You can tell where things weren’t planned out.
Your only spot to put your belongings is in an unsupervised area in the hallway right before the entrance to the gym, same hallways the little kids are running through. I’d be surprised if no one has had any personal belongings stolen yet. Cause there’s NO LOCKERS, no where to put a physical lock on your stuff! You’ve been open OVER A YEAR. Get the basics outta the way before you start adding crap no one wants to use like a light therapy bed and cold plunge tubs that came from Tractor Supply Co. Yeah cause I wanna sit in a room that looks like a prison cell in a cold tub with no privacy and 2 other semi naked members 😂 No, I don’t, I’d like a locker to put my stuff in first.
And take note of the aroma when you first walk in. Go ahead, take a sniff. Why does it smell like ammonia? I have no idea. But it’s smelled like that every time I’m there.
I love the gym and the concept but I’m annoyed AF that the basics weren’t addressed first, and continue to be annoyed that they still haven’t been addressed. And forget about working out here and taking a shower after. There’s no showers! I’d been grandfathered into the armory membership from GPF and use the medical services enough to continue to justify the price. But seriously, I wouldn’t pay $100 a month just to use this place.
3/17/25 edit: I will raise my review to 3.5 stars now that I have a temu locker to put my things in. Also, Rebecca McClain has been the final reason I decide to stay each time I’ve considered seriously cancelling my membership… she’s professional and amazing and I’m not exaggerating. I’ve been going to a gym consistently since 2013. So I’ve seen some things and have some standards but I am passionate about training so, I’ll give ya 4 stars for trying your best ⭐️
5/20 edit: real where these bathrooms at? Hilarious that this business simply excuses everyone’s concerns and blames the city instead. Im going back to 3 stars and honestly it should be 2 but again, thank Rebecca. It’s actually insane anyone pays this price and still goes here without bathrooms or showers available 😂
7/9 edit: Whoever is filling the meds for Rebecca is on TOP of it. Practically lightning fast for a medication refill request. I’ll increase a star, I know I’m difficult. But I still maintain 2 bathrooms for this size facility after a year being opened is hard to excuse. Add some bathrooms and the showers and maybe this place could be perfect someday…I want to BELIEVE. P.s. I think they fixed up some of the problems I mentioned earlier, but idk about the basketball crowds though, cause I got so annoyed I go to GPF unless I can’t afford the 5 extra minutes of driving
8/11/25 edit: wow nearly 2 years in and they finally “started” adding locker rooms and additional bathrooms 😭 added pics of how much it costs to use the basketball court. Ridiculous lol
11/9/25: still no locker rooms and 2 bathrooms, it makes no sense I pay the $ I do to go here. Gonna quit when I get better insurance. Rebecca can only do so much

One of the better gyms in columbus. Has plenty of space, a whole lot of racks that are usable for several compound exercises, and a lot of attachments and bars as well, it’s also very clean.
The workers here are nice and professional, never had a problem with them and the people that go to this gym are good people.
Hours are good and with the $100 membership you get two other gyms in central
columbus that are both 24 hours.
There are only two bathrooms, and the basketball court is always in use.

Great place to get a workout- I live out of town but am in Columbus for a few weeks each fall and stop in while visiting. It's not like some of the big chains with all the un-necessary bells and whistles and more locker room space than equipment. It's a training gym - great equipment, plenty of space, good music and a welcoming atmosphere. People here are serious about their training, but friendly and supportive. I've literally seen everyone from pro-card level body builders, to guys deadlifing 600+ lbs to people just starting their fitness journey and even an 75+ year old woman - bottom line is everyone is here to work on improving themselves. One of the best gyms I've found on the road. If you want smoothie bars, steam rooms, TV lounges etc, look elsewhere, but if you want an honest, clean and well stocked place to get your workout in, check it out.

How do you have 16 squat racks but don’t have a hack squat or pendulum squat?? They also don’t have a cable machine.
Great gym tho.

I visited The Armory today and as an all around gym this pace is pretty incredible. Plenty of hammer strength machines, loads of squat racks, dumbbells up to 150 with plenty of duplicate sets, and I would say a reasonable amount of cardio equipment.
Generally a well equipped facility all around. The only thing I couldn't find was pre-loaded accessory barbells - and they only have a single dip station. But other than that this place is loaded.
The biggest drawback that I found was a lack of locker rooms, but they do have bathrooms, and changing rooms to supplement.
Generally a great place for anyone looking for a new home gym.
TLDR: 8/10 WAY better than a commercial gym. This place has all the equipment you would want - but no locker rooms.

The Armory is the best value in Columbus—elite equipment and everything you need for health, wellness, and recovery all in one place. I’ve been using the group fitness classes for the past year, and they’re next-level—challenging, effective, and built to deliver real results. What truly sets The Armory apart is the staff—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping you hit your goals.

Staff/gym space/equipment/lighting/mirrors are wonderful. Would give 6 stars if I could especially staff. Everyone that works there is/has been very friendly and helpful. Absolutely top notch.
NPC/IFBB competitors of ALL genders.
Forewarning, there is absolutely no posing practice permitted anywhere in the facility because of other rules in place. Currently, there are no accommodations for this either offered or available.
This will not be the “one-stop shop” that you would hope it would be if you are a competitor. It’s a shame because at this price point, they should be able to accommodate all aspects of everyone’s fitness needs.

Great gym for lifting with top tier equipment, best equipment ive seen in Columbus. But there are only 2 bathrooms which are always crowded. Locker rooms and other gym amenities for somewhere at this price level like a sauna would make it alot better

The armory is simply not taking care of regular members. The gym has been open well over a year without standard locker rooms, meanwhile they’ve continued to expand athlete facilities. There are two, individual restrooms open to the public. I hope you don’t have to use the restroom during a middle school basketball game because you will have to wait in a line for 15+ minutes surrounded by middle school athletes and their parents. With memberships costing $100, members deserve better than 2 stand alone changing rooms, 2 individual bathrooms, and cubbies/lockers in the hallway. I have asked about lockers room since the gym opened and have continuously been told they’re coming…. As of March 2025 there are no locker rooms and no word as when there will be. The added locker rooms in the hallway seem to be a lackluster attempt to shut frustrated customers up without following through with the promise of actual locker rooms.

The gym has the bones to be great. Great equipment and plenty of space.
Parking. Terrible on weekends. Good luck.
Bathrooms and locker rooms… only two single bathrooms. For a gym this size, I’d expect there to be more bathrooms and water stations. Or maybe a locker room? You’re paying a premium price for a gym and you’re not getting basic things like bathrooms or locker rooms. Sure they have cubbies you can throw your equipment in. But that’s not secure by any means.
Again, great bones and has a lot of potential. But I’d have a hard time recommending anyone pay this premium price tag for a gym that feels undercooked.

It’s a great gym, however they don’t warn you about the basketball stuff when you sign up to pay $100 a month, which definitely would’ve deterred me. Probably why they don’t say anything. You’re paying $100 a month to fight with 1 million families for parking whenever they have a basketball game. Every Sunday when I pull up in the afternoon, there is literally not a spot in sight. People’s children that they don’t watch will also torpedo into you in the hallway, and I have also seen people take their kids to the entrance of the gym area to watch people work out like it’s a spectator sport. It’s so irritating because it’s a huge gym with great equipment any a great atmosphere, but it gets ruined by children’s competitive basketball.

The equipment here is very nice and seems to be kept pretty decent as well. Plenty of squat racks except during peak hours you might have to wait a bit but that’s not unexpected. Overall this gym has most of the equipment you would need for an average gym goer.
I’m giving 3 stars because the Armory has a lot more of a commercial gym feel which is not what its “sister” gyms are (WPF/GPF). I was grandfathered in at the $65/month for access to all 3 gyms so I can’t complain there. However, I would not pay the standard $99/month. It’s totally not worth it for what you get.
Theres a high likelihood that there’s kids running around in the area outside of the gym. The owner trains teenagers in the gym during peak hours and doesn’t care if they run into people full speed during a sprint while they take up almost the entirety of the turf area, speaking from experience. This is also while there’s a whole separate extension that, to my knowledge, young athletes train there. I spoke to the front desk person and apparently it’s a known issue that they have received complaints about, but I guess the owner doesn’t care about the individual gym goers.
Overall, I dont think this gym is worth the full price at all. If I were you, I’d find a different gym. The only perk of this one is if it’s near you.

Needed to delete my previous review and make sure I updated this one. VERY positive overall experience.
Shield Membership: Fantastic value for what you get. Gyms, ancillaries, primary care etc.
MY MISTAKE: The fitness portion of membership and the medical portion of membership operate —somewhat— independently of each other (makes sense, only certain qualified individuals will be able to discuss lab work, medical, etc.).
I had an issue that I realized was 100% my misunderstanding. Liese, Meghan, and Dr. Jacko all got it explained to me and then were able to resolve my issues faster than originally anticipated.
They deserve 5 stars alone for being able to handle a customer (myself) who didn’t understand the operational aspects of the membership.
This is an incredible value for what you get.

This place, including the staff and my NP, Rebecca McClain, absolutely changed my life. Expensive insurance premiums and co pays that never even seem to apply when you actually need to use your insurance, accompanied with hidden and extra fees and bills ALL the time associated with traditional insurance and healthcare were just not what was “hot in the streets” as the kids would say. This concept, along with the level the minds behind this concept and facilities have taken this are far superior, no other word comes to mind. Friendly and helpful staff, amazing facilities and benefits included with membership, what an amazing concept and place. I’ve never worked with a Dr., nurse, PT specialist, or staff member that wasn’t extremely pleasant, professional, and helpful. This review is long overdue and I can’t leave this review without totally talking up my NP Rebecca McClain. I’ve been through it all medically, so many different referrals and professionals I’ve seen over the years but I’m not gonna reveal how old I am. Trust me, I’ve been around the block. Rebecca is the entire reason I’m here and I would highly advise anyone looking for a new medical provider to schedule a consult with her and you will NEVER go to another medical professional. This practice is filled with AMAZING people like her so you can’t go wrong, but for my personal journey, she basically saved my life. Ok, enough with my dramatic A$$. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!!

Such great tests available with so many on-site perks. The staff was great in helping my husband and I to get set up. Excited to have this in our own backyard.

If you want a gym that overpromises and underdelivers, this is the gym for you. Half of the building isnt even open (although they'll still make you pay for it), there is no locker room (but dont worry they'll let you change in the hallway or 1 of 2 bathrooms for a 20k+ SF facility), and only private leagues/teams are allowed to use the basketball court. In addition, the crowd wasnt bad when it first opened, but after a few weeks it is hard to find open machines in peak hours. I can't imagine spending $100/month or more for this place

The gym is clean and very well maintained. Even at its busiest there is plenty of equipment and little wait time.
The staff is friendly and helpful and the people working out are nice and supportive.
The cost is more than most gyms but I think the return is higher. You get generally committed people and an ever improving gym.
My last gym was less expensive, but I was always frustrated with the equipment being broken, the dirty spaces, and the lack of community. Since I switched I can see a difference in myself and I have more drive to get to the gym. That's worth the extra cost.

I tried this place, because I am tired of my current gym. It's 3 times the cost but has much better equipment. The amenities are not there but they say they are coming.
I agree with previous posts though. I want to like this gym but the music was so loud the mornings I tried it out that I can hear it through my noise cancelling headphones. It's house music which is not my style. Most people wear earbuds or headphones. I can't understand why they have to keep it so loud.
I am going to stick with my current gym for now.

I genuinely didn't know that I could like a gym this much. I've been spending twice as long in the gym recently, just because I like being inside The Armory.
The only comparable gym to The Armory, in my opinion, is Lifetime Dublin or Lifetime Easton, purely based on just how nice the facilities are. I'd also argue that The Armory has better, newer equipment, and that it's cleaner and better organized. If prices were equal, I'd still choose the Armory over either Lifetime location.
But prices aren't equal! Lifetime is significantly more expensive. The Armory is unreal from a price-to-value perspective. I'd say it's both the best gym in cbus right now (based on my standards), AND the best bang for your buck gym.
The Armory says they're in phase 1 currently of their grand opening, and additional phases will bring more amenities to the gym. I can't quite wrap my head around how nice this gym is going be once additional phases are completed, considering I already love the gym now.
If you're considering this gym, I'd say do it.

This is a nice gym physically, but I won't go back. It's not for people that want to get fit. It's for people that are super fit. From their online description, I thought they would promote healthy living. It was for sure all about being a juiced up bro.
The owner dominates the place, his music, his style. It is so loud and so hard core, I couldn't hear the person helping me. She had to scream at me the whole time.
