Our intention is to use the West Portsmouth Youth Sports Complex for any activity that benefits our youth and our community. To be successful, we need the support of our community. We hope you’ll join us in our efforts. See less
The non-profit organization was established with the intention of providing our local youth with a sports facility that would be available all year long.

Would not recommend for neurodivergent children. They will never be treated the same as the other children. My autistic child gets 1/3 of the playing time as other kids across every sport even though we pay the same as other parents. A very political place.

Great place to watch the kids play basketball. Has two courts separated by a full length divider. Bleachers on one side and a stage with seating on the other. Concession stand is one of the better ones as well.

I would not suggest going to basketball tournaments there, the referees seem to favor the home team especially after one of the directors as a private conversation in the middle of the court with the referees. After that private conversation phantom fouls were called. I would not go back I would not waste my money

This was a fun little place to take kids it had free Wi-Fi for the kids so they could enjoy the things that were in the rooms they had different little stores in there a little place called happy pots where kids could go and make art and paint it for their family's or make whatever they wanted.. It isn't the same the had yugioh Torniments there my son went to and had a place to go play his cards and have fun with friends.. He always liked going over there I went over there like a couple months ago and they don't have Wi-Fi no more I figured if a kid didn't have minutes on their phone they could go on to Wi-Fi and try to message someone to come get them when they were done at the complex. The kids today need something to do they took away skatelan there is no dreamland pool anymore all us 70 and 80s kids loved it was a awesome place to go they had different things for kids to do they had get together there pool dances and they would have the cops come out every year and do a meeting with the kids it was a program called D.A.R.E. it was awesome as a kid to have enjoyed stuff like that kids today don't have nothing like we had in the day. They need something for the teenagers to do so they can have about the same feeling we had as kids.. I would only recommend this place if they would really put something here on the westside or Portsmouth for the teenagers to do.. They need something besides phones and internet live like we did in the day. We had a great childhood we need one for these kids today so they can have a childhood like we did and try to enjoy it with them

So great to see the old school turned into something to help the local economy. Plus it isn't a junk yard! The shops are nice and it provides a lot to the local youth! It is also home to the semi-pro football team the West Portsmouth Tanks!
