Played today for the first time in years. I was really pleased with the condition of the course and the updated clubhouse. There were also plenty of staff working at the counter and the beverage vehicle was making consistent laps around the course

Our front nine took less than 2 hours which was excellent for a holiday weekend. HOWEVER, we waited almost 30 minutes to tee off on 10 and had a two group wait on just about every hole on the back. So I'm not sure what the pace of play issue was on the back as compared to the front.

We thoroughly enjoyed our round and will return soon. They have made many improvements and the staff is super nice. The greens were firm but rolled true and still held approach shots reasonably well. Beautiful course. Clubhouse is exceptional. Only fault I have is I showed up for my tee time 10 minutes early. As I was checking in a gentleman, the starter I assume, walked by and asked the gentleman behind the counter if I had checked in. I said "I'm right here". He tells me "you're on the tee". No, I have 10 minutes. Don't rush people. Also, if you're going to represent the place at least tuck your shirt in. Everything else about the place is class, don't ruin it. I will come back here again and again, it is a great course and the people are top notch.

Played here last August and the course was in immaculate shape. Played again here this past weekend, to scout it for an outing, and was disappointed at the conditions.

I know that the weather hasn't been kind this spring, and the volume of players on the holiday weekend (including, I would imagine, many non-regular golfers who don't know how to take care of a course) helps account for the dozens of unrepaired pitch marks on the greens. Greens were incredibly firm and didn't hold much, but so be it.

Some other things, though, weren't great and seem solvable. The rough on the front side was patchy and weedy. I should probably just hit the ball straighter (hehehe), but my playing partner told me to move my ball a couple times to avoid hitting off bare dirt or out of weeds that were just a couple yards off the fairway. Concerningly, multiples of the tee boxes and greens on the front side are covered with ant hills/burrows. As a result, parts of several greens on the front were nearly unplayable. I know ants are persistent little pests, but at the moment they seem to be winning against whatever measures the course is taking to get rid of them. Last, and most frustratingly, the cups were clearly 2 or 3 days old and beat up. Using hole cuts for multiple days looks like it's been a common practice at the course this season, since old cups/plugs were clearly visible on the greens and the grass along the circumference often hadn't regrown yet. Somehow, the greens continued to roll and break very respectably, so, props to their greenskeeper. And, I should add, the conditions improved dramatically on the back nine--better cups, better greens, better rough, and no ants to be seen. Perhaps it sees less play?

Not intended to be a deeply negative review. The staff is very friendly and inviting, the atmosphere is nice and relaxed, and the course layout is super enjoyable. Will absolutely come play again. Just hope the course gets some needed TLC over the rest of the season, so that it recovers to the quality I saw last year.

The Ridge is top notch. We live close to the course so it is our "home" course and we play it a lot. We play the surrounding courses as well and I think the ridge has probably the best mix of all the things you want at a golf course. The course itself is awesome and well maintained, the staff is friendly, they have an amazing patio, great food, seriously awesome golf simulators, and the price for all stuff is reasonable. They also do lots of cool events and golf outings as well. The new owners have seriously made this place special, and if you live in the area (or outside the area for that matter) its worth it to keep The Ridge on your list for outings.

We just had our class reunion of 74’ at the Ridge. Addy helped us from start to finish with the food, time, and set up for the event. Addy told us that if they provided the food the rental of the room would be less. After reading the reviews we decided to go that route and they did not disappoint us. The appetizers and charcuterie board started off the night. They were not only delicious but also beautiful. The main dishes of Royal roast and chicken garlic parm were tender and moist. She helped us decide the sides and no one went hungry or disappointed.
The price was right and the atmosphere delightful. After the sit down dinner we went to the outdoor area and some played guitar and sang, while others sat around the cozy fire pit or in other areas of multiple seating.
If you have an event I would recommend you check out The Ridge.

The Ridge hosted a charity scramble I organize (Putts & Pucks Charity Scramble) and the experience was incredible. The help and communication from Gregg, the manager, along with the staff was a huge part to the success of the event. The course was in excellent condition and extremely fun to play. Beverage carts are massive 4 door side by sides. Club house had excellent food and drink selection. You won't be disappointed in playing a round here or hosting an event.

Absolutely LOVED playing here over the last two years. However, this last time was incredibly frustrating. The fairways were in HORRIBLE shape. I’m talking weeds EVERYWHERE. Paying $26 (early morning tee-time on a weekday) for 9 holes here with how horrible the conditions were when Darby Creek is up the street who charge $20 and MUCH better shape…makes it pretty tough. I hope to give it a couple weeks and give another chance and give this course 5 stars.

Although I want to keep this the best hidden gem in central Ohio I owe it to the management to give an honest review. The new owner said he wanted to make it the best course in the area and they’ve come damn close if you look at the whole from food to friendly service golf to outdoor seating areas to the best sunset in central ohio. I have had the pleasure of watching this course grow up the last 4 years playing in a league. It’s pretty cool. The ownership and GM also are very open and fair about addressing any on course issues. They want to get better. Beautiful course with great food and people. I’d stack it up against really any course I play(which is way to much) and it would compete. Kudos to the Ridge!

Hey fellow Golfers, we enjoyed the Par-3 contest today, (Oct. 3rd, 2020)...interesting Tee & Pin placements!...the problem I had, was after the round, all Skins were cancelled out, & The Ridge decided the club was entitled to the entire Skins pot!...
I questioned the Manager/Owner about this, & he was a bit incredulous!...he seemed to not be able to come up with an alternative solution!!...I can think of a few!!...
1: How about...Give everyone their money back!… it was never agreed upon by anyone to give you that money when we entered into the skins pot game…
2: How about paying out for placing third/fourth/fifth in the tournament?…
3: How about paying the skins pot to a local charity of your choice?…
I am certainly not a person to complain about every little thing…But in this instance I felt an injustice was done…there were 32 groups of three golfers…96 golfers…Let’s say 80 paid into the skins spot($5)…That would be $400+…Not an insignificant amount…The payout for first place was $500!…I asked the management/owner in person...I did not get a very good response...(incredulous)….Hopefully the Ridge will do better in the future…Today…I am not a happy customer…

The course has really come a long ways and everyone that works there is very respectful to all players and patrons. They are always accommodating, they are always willing to make sure that everyone has a chance to play and that everyone is happy while doing so. The clubhouse has been closed since the pandemic, and that is appreciated, but it is also a shame because their full menu isn't always available and they have fantastic food when open. I look forward to next season after the course heals from an extraordinary amount of play this year, and hopefully have a clubhouse to go into and maybe even play in an event or two because everything is so top notch here.

Side note, best simulator in Central Ohio, hands down. If you get a chance this winter, off-season, or even during a chance to play period, do it. Its well worth the cost of admission!

From the moment I stepped out of my car I realized that no one here was taking the COVID-19 pandemic seriously. Played there in september, and while the course was ok, the grounds crew are not. While reading a putt, a mower continued to mow roughly 10 feet behind me. He ran over a stray golf ball which shot out of the mower and drilled me in my hip. Only about a foot from killing me. He did not have the chute guard on which was very negligible. I still have a scar and scar tissue build up on the spot. Was told that the owners would follow up with me and that was 3 months ago.

I go back and forth on this course. Have played it about 40 times (about 5 times since it changed ownership) and at least 15 to 20 times the conditions have been garbage... tee boxes not maintained, greens with more craters than a pimply teenager, and just an overall shabby feeling.. but then there are other times when the course looks great and appears well maintained. On those days the course can be really fun. Definitely worth playing at least once to decide for yourself, but I have moved them way down on my list of courses I regularly play.

Played 18 yesterday and enjoyed the course very much. Fairways were open for the most part, but had challenging approach shots and greens. Definitely will be back!

Played 18 today. The club house and food is great; not to mention the staff. Fun place. New owners are fixing it up. Beautiful course.
