Twigs is a great place for gymnastics and swim. They have some wonderful coaches and I highly recommend for recreational gymnastics. They also have a competition team. One thing I love most is homeschool classes! They also do open gyms and swims, camps, and my favorite parents night out where you can drop your kids off for 4 hours! Prices are average for our area and they do offer a small sibling discount. I've had some ups and down over the years and have tried a couple different places in the area, but always end up back at Twigs because ultimately they offer the most. I've been bringing children here since 2007.

We’ve been apart of the twigs fam for four years now, and my kids look forward to it every week! I’m seeing these reviews about Ms. Brittany and this is not our experience- we love her! She makes classes and bouncing with books fun, and the kids enjoy her! As for the staff we love Ms. T, she’s the reason we keep coming back. Her support for my kiddos, and all the other ones she coaches, does not go unnoticed! Ms. Kylie and Ms. Jada are always at the front desk ready to help. I recommend Twigs to anyone that is looking!

We have been at TK for more than 5 years. It is always a debate each year as to whether or not we should return for yet another year. Honestly, not sure at times why we do. The time and expense is tremendous and the drama can be overwhelming…really struggling this year as we go into another season…

Our gymnast has made some amazing friends and we have met and got to know some amazing families but every year it’s more of the same as if the ship is on cruise control. Issues are brought up nothing changes or changes are made and the follow up and review to determine effectiveness doesn’t take place. There is a massive gap in experience in the team coaches and not enough of them (experienced or not). No clear defined leadership for competitions and teams and too much is expected from the few…Honestly, I feel for TK’s team coaches that try to make it better but are hindered by politics, tenure and/or ineptitude and inexperience.

Like anywhere there are good and “not so good” staff and trainers and coaches so to be fair…if you aren’t looking for your gymnast to be sanctioned, or in a progressive, competitive gym…where trained and certified coaches lead consistent practice and training events with known common goals and expectations and you aren’t looking for your gymnast to compete in a league or conference that will lead to something “bigger” TK is the place…

Again, to be fair, TK has a lot of good and provides a mostly healthy and safer place for your kids to tumble and socialize. It does appear to be Christian based. It is a great resource for and as an alternatives to “daycare”. They do offer a lot of variety in activities almost weekly….

For those of us that spend each and every year in the gym committed to our child/children’s pursuit of self improvement and athletic growth and success, I feel obligated to say…

I know we aren’t the only family that is experiencing this or any of a hundred different concerns. So to all the parents and team families that are in the shadows and fear reprisal or are intimidated by the “not so good” “pushy, passive aggressive or overbearing and underwhelming members of TK’s staff…speak up. It’s our responsibility to our children to lead change if that’s what we expect from the gym and they aren’t making it happen.

Maybe this post will be a catalyst for the gym to reflect and improve and maybe take time to evaluate what’s important…give credence to other post and comments that are not glowing with rainbows and unicorns. A hard self reflection and action by the gym would be an indication to all of us that the bottom line is the children and ultimately what’s best for them.

Read fast…this probably won’t stay up long…make your voice heard on here since it seems unless you post it on some kind of social media no one cares these days….And take screen shots because open honest reviews tend to disappear into the void…

Huge shoutout to Ms. Trina! My daughter Peyton was so nervous about moving to the next class, but Ms. Trina made the transition so smooth. I’m incredibly grateful—Twigs has truly helped her come out of her shell and grow in confidence!

Went for the Tuesday Toddler open play time & LOVED it. My 19 month old was pretty much able to play on everything. The staff are beyond friendly & helpful. So glad we checked it out & it's worth the drive for an hour of play time!

My 6 year old son absolutely loves the water. He loves to swim and play in the water. Since my son is autistic I like for him to be in social situations to improve his social skills. I decided to enroll my kiddo in Twigs Kids swim lessons. When I called to get information and enroll him the first question I asked was whether or not the instructors there had experience working with kids with special needs. I was assured that they did. My son was ridiculed, ignored and passed over by the instructors. The instructors wanted the kids to jump in the pool. For some reason my son didn't want to. He wanted to sit on the edge and scoot in. They wouldn't let him, one instructor actually tried to force my son in the pool by pulling his arm. So, he got passed over, the instructors concentrated on the other kids. Before I forget, the reason I enrolled my son in the class I did was because I was told there were only 2 or 3 other kids. The last lesson we went to had at least 8 kids in it. My son gets overwhelmed and over stimulated with that many people. At one lesson the kids were sitting at the edge of the pool waiting their turn for the instructor to take them in the middle of the pool and help them go underwater. I watched as the instructor helped every child but mine. He sat there playing with a bath toy. He didn't get to go out in the pool. When I questioned the instructor about it she told me that since my son could go underwater already, they told him to do it on his own. WHAT??!! Crazy!! I wasn't paying $71 a month for him to sit and play with a bath toy!

There was only one instructor who worked there who actually worked with my son, got on his level and earned his trust. Tori was awesome with him and we miss her!

So, if you've stayed with me this long, just be warned that the swimming lessons at Twigs Kids are a joke. They will rip you off, the instructors (from what I've been told) are not even certified in lifesaving. I saw instructors ignore kids when they went under water, just turn their back and walk away. These are little kids!! Just save your money!! Please do not put your child thru what mine went thru.
One last thing...when I canceled the lessons, the woman I spoke with didn't even ask me why I was pulling my kid out. Seems to me that if I were in that position, I'd want to know why I was losing a customer.
Rant over.

We had a wonderful birthday pool party at TWIGS. Our party hostess, Lily, was so helpful! She made our group feel safe in the pool, helped with post-swim party prep and made the birthday child feel truly cared for. She even gently detangled a party-friend's hair after swimming. Lily's service alone earned my business! The pool was just the right temperature and size for an elementary-aged birthday party. The manager kindly called ahead of time to coordinated tablecloths and plates with our birthday colors. All-around excellent customer service!

We have always loved Twigs Kids for swim, gymnastics and birthday parties, but their Summer Camp is above and beyond! Not only do they have an action packed schedule with themed weeks that my kids love (bubble parties, Kona Ice, petting zoo, face painting, and so much more!), they also have the best and friendliest staff. I love that I can trust that my kids are safe and well taken care of while at Summer Camp with Twigs staff. My kids also have continuously improved their swimming and gymnastics skills just by attending camp this summer. Twigs is the best!

This place has been a blessing for our family. My son attended a summer camp and have always felt other places was boring or didn’t do enough with the kids. Not Twigs they go an above and beyond to make sure the kids are entertained and do so many activities. The staff is so supportive and caring. Miss Brittany is so sweet, as are all the staff. Parents night out is always a fun and a blessing also

Love TWIGS! My five-year-old started there when she was two and I can not imagine pulling her and her sister out. They also love it and miss it when we have to skip a week. The instructors are great. They are kind, and enthusiastic and encourage the kids to try again and not give up. They also take the safety of kids seriously and explain why the rules are the rules. My daughters love their teachers and we have all made friends because of TWIGS.

We've taken swim and/or gymnastics classes a number of other places around the Centerville/Miamisburg areas and TK *far and away* is the best one. The staff is incredibly kind, and made our daughter feel welcome right away. They've always been very quick to respond and flexible whenever we've needed to switch classes around as well. My daughter can be a bit of a handful but the teachers, especially Brittany, are so patient with her. Love this place and I always recommend it to everyone I talk to about taking swim, cheer, or gymnastics classes.

My daughter has autism and intellectual disability but over all high functioning. She was in tumbling doing one of her exercise and evidently cut in front of these two sisters. The girls said they tried to confront my daughter but she wasn’t paying attention. So they decided to tell my daughter how ugly she is and that she is a b*****. My daughter was having a meltdown and the instructor wouldn’t let her come to me!! This place is a train wreck and is more interested in profit than their “Christian “ values.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW!!!

i have been going here since i was little, & i have always loved it..

during summer camp, we sit outside & play games. sometimes we even sit outside to eat lunch. we go outside lots of times during the day honestly, & it’s really fun to get outside. sometimes we wash the teachers car, but kids really enjoy it. we have pizza one day of the week so we don’t need to bring a lunch unless you want to. for the little kids they always make sure a craft is included, or a coloring page. sometimes we watch movies (ALWAYS KID FRIENDLY) & have popcorn to go along with it. during summer camp i met some lifelong friends that i wouldn’t have in classes/ after school. we also slip & slide down the hill of the side of the building. it is always so fun.

: in the after school program, most of the time the bus drops you off their, but with some schools twigs has to pick you up from school in a little bus/van they have. when you get their, they make you change into your gymnastics clothes if you have any & wash your hands. then they take you into the gym & you sit down near the front & they provide snacks like pretzels & peanut butter crackers with a juice box if you want it. then you go play around for a little while like open gym.

, i gave a 5 out of 5 because i enjoyed my time at twigs & the bad reviews people give are just naive about the beauty of this place. yes, the place has SOME flaws, but hey, don’t we all? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, send your kid here if you want them to meet new people & make new memories. coming from a teenager, it is such a great place & you will not regret it. 💗

Full disclosure—we were there just for a trial class so I can’t speak for the ongoing atmosphere or long term effects of attending.

I took my 2.5 year old son and while he had an amazing time I had some concerns. There was no one at the front desk (or the lobby in general) to greet us and we were there a good 5 minutes before being acknowledged; we got there 15 minutes before class started. It smells strongly of feet and sweat. Viewing area was small—only important if you’re not in a parent-child class though. When we were asked to come into the gym they asked that we take shoes and socks off (or just shoes for parents) but the teacher still had her shoes on. There were ants around the shoe cubbies. Equipment looked clean and most seemed well-maintained but again, it smells like a gym. Miss Britney was really energetic and sweet—she explained the circuits really clearly. There didn’t seem to be a theme for the class. Theo took some time to become comfortable with Miss Britney and after a while he wanted to run around but she really encouraged him when he was walking on the beam. I was supposed to keep him more or less in the circuit which was hard not only because he wanted to be off running around but even with just a few kids in the class there seemed to be bottlenecks. My son’s favorite part was jumping in the foam pit at the end. I should also mention that while there’s a general “Christian” theme to the facility (the area we were in was called Noah’s Ark and there were several religious quotes in the bathroom) that there wasn’t any overt religious overtones to the class.

Overall the program itself scored a bit better for me than the facility.

My two daughters have gone here for several years in the beginner’s gymnastics class. Some instructors are more genuine and caring than others. I took my older daughter out of the class since she wanted to do horseback riding. When I called to discontinue her, the manager acted as if she had an attitude and was very unfriendly. When I would take my older daughter along for my younger daughter's class they wouldn't even acknowledge her even when talking to my daughter who was enrolled. They are all about the money and couldn't care less when you aren't a student. Several weeks later, my younger daughter was in class and she came out crying saying she doesn't feel good about herself after some "push-up challenge". Who knows what went on in there, so I promptly took her out that week. I will not pay money somewhere that makes my child feel bad about herself.

Twigs is such a welcoming place. My daughter has been on and off with this gymnastics program for over 3 years now and every time she is greeted with hugs and smiles. She is taught with fun, learning exercises. She comes home from each practice like "mommy do you know how to do this." With some term I've never heard before. ha ha ha. Most of all I love how Twigs keeps faith in our God and remembering we are here to serve Him.

We love Twigs Kids Gymnastics, Swimming, & Cheer. They have an extra gym one Saturday a month and a parents night out too! My daughter attends swim lessons at TWIGS and she loves it! She has learned so much and has really grown in the past year. She is 5 and able to swim the length of the pool many times and in different stroke styles...she could go all day! She also has less fear and anxiety around water and is more comfortable jumping in. She also respects the safety rules and is really good about rolling over to float to rest and catch her breath. Brittani Ostrander is her favorite teacher, but we are biased since she's her aunt :)

We also occasionally attend Open Gym and Bouncing with Books and the kids really have a great time. I would recommend TWIGS to other parents, and often do!

Twigs Kids is the best idea ever! My daughter is picked up from the door of her school each day and taken to Twigs. She takes taekwondo once per week, Dance once per week AND she gets three days of gymnastics all for less than $100.00 per week. The bonus... I don't have to cart her around to all these lessons! She loves it, she stays active (as opposed to some after school programs that sit an color) and we know she is in good hands with a well trained, friendly and knowledgeable staff. We couldn't be happier at Twigs!
