Came in for a drop in and was welcomed immediately! The coaches that I meant were great and very knowledgeable. The other members made me part of the community instantly and had a blast working out here with them. Also it is in an old church which is super unique and cool! If you are in the area or visiting stop in it is worth it!

Great Crossfit that isn’t over-the-top intense (which I liked).
You’ll get stronger and will learn good technique. Only downside was the limited hours.

I did a quick drop in class while I was in town. I've been to crossfit gyms all over the country, and this had to be the most unique space I've ever trained in. Great atmosphere, good equipment, friendly members, and a coach who really seems to care. I'll be back next time I'm in town.

I came to Comanche completely new to Crossfit and Dave took the time to teach me everything I needed to know - form, scaling options, etc. I was nervous about joining, but the coaches and community could not be more welcoming. They helped me accomplish fitness goals I never thought were attainable. 2 years later I'm still hooked! Also there's always cute dogs around - enough said.

Comanche Crossfit is awesome! Coach Dave is knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. Comanche Crossfit is a safe box. We focus on form. If you aren't doing it right, you aren't going up in weight. I have been a member for 2.5 years and never sustained an injury. Try it! Try Crossfit at Comanche.

6 STARS! While in town for the week I dropped in CrossFit Comanche. Wow what a place, I wish I lived here. David was extremely welcoming to say the least. I showed up randomly during open gym hours and rather than turn me away or have we wait for a later class, David coached me 1 on 1. I've been CrossFitting for several years and am pretty consistent with all the lifts but was amazed by the subtleties David was able to pickup and correct in my movements. I hit a 10# hang snatch PR while warming up with David and it felt smooth and easy! He really knows his lifting. In the Metcon he literally coached me through EVERY SINGLE REP, EVERY SINGLE ROUND of DT. And I'm not talking the usual "good job, keep it up" coaching. He coached technique and strategy throughout. He even coached me on how to rest and Chaulk break better by standing up and keeping moving rather than bent over heaving lol. I've written too much as is without commenting on how bad ass the box itself is. It's in an old school, School House up on the hill. Seriously the coolest most historic box I've been too.

VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS PLACE AND LOOKING FORWARD TO GOING BACK!!

I belonged to a CrossFit gym back in LA and I came to find out about this gym through Groupon. The gym itself is an okay gym (cool old-school church location) and for the most part this gym has exactly what you need for your training. It is a big space to do your workouts with the group or on your own. The β€œregulars” here are really nice people. They have all been helpful when looking for what weight to use or asking about form.

Unfortunately, my positive experience with the classes was overshadowed by an issue with wrongful billing. Basically, I was charged for additional month after cancelling my membership. After contacting David, the business owner, I was able to get this resolved…although it took a few weeks to get him to rectify this situation. This was the most challenging part of my time here. While he ultimately corrected the issue, and offered me 2 months free membership as compensation for the billing error, throughout our communication he made me feel that he was more concerned with clearing up the 1-star review that I had initially left him vs. ensuring that I, as the client, had a positive experience with his business. As a result, I just do not feel comfortable and will not be coming back.

I was new to the area and loved working out at Crossfit Comanche! It's a great gym for all athletic levels. I loved being able to try out this gym during the free trial and the 1 on 1 coaching sold me to become a member. The free Saturday workshop classes were great to bring friends who hadn't tried Crossfit yet. I would recommend this gym for anyone, beginner to expert!

I was new to Cincinnati, and completely new to CrossFit. I had been running and cycling for a while, but hadn't done any serious lifting in a long time. Everyone at the gym was extremely welcoming, skilled and helpful. They took the time to get to know what level I was at and gave me the support I needed to get started. The owner and all of the coaches are very approachable and keep you motivated and constantly improving. I've made a lot of progress in the three months since I joined. I highly recommend checking out Comanche CrossFit, whatever your fitness level.

Hands down the BEST Crossfit gym in Cincinnati! I was here for about 2.5 years before I moved to Atlanta and all I can say is how great this place is! All of the coaches here are extremely knowledgeable and friendly and are more than willing than help you reach your fitness goals. The environment and community of people here are second to none and this box has all of the equipment that you would expect at a CF affiliate. I would highly recommend stopping by at this gym! I know I will whenever I'm back in Cincy visiting.

I started crossfit in the summer in my hometown, Zanesville and had a great experience. When summer was over I was looking for gyms to continue my crossfit journey. I found Comanche and could not be happier that I chose this gym. The atmosphere is amazing and everyone is so welcoming of new people.
Whether you have crossfit experience or not, the coaches will help you in every way possible to make you feel comfortable and make sure you are doing the movements the right way so you don't injure yourself.
I have made so many great friends and the experience that I've had here is amazing. I couldn't ask for a better place to workout and have fun while doing so!

Was averse to crossfit at first. Thought it'd be just a bunch of people throwing stuff all over the place and screaming. I've been going 5 days a week for the past five months now and absolutely love it. Great group environment classes along with a knowledgable coaching staff who help you move and grow at your own pace. I'm in the best shape of my life and I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to get genuinely fit.

The gym sits in what used to be Linwood academy elementary. Since the opening, The facility has evolved into a truly unique gym experience. The former cafeteria has been transformed into a haven for those looking to focus on olympic style lifts. A giant american flag mural forms the perfect backdrop to improve your snatch and clean n jerk numbers. Regular crossfit classes take place in the former gymnasium complete with rings, stall bars and other custom gymnastic equipment that was built into the original historic gym. New rogue rig, squat racks and flooring have been installed. During summer time a rig is installed outside to compliment the endless collection of tires and weighted kegs. Everyone in the gym is welcoming and willing to help. The coaches are always around to help members work towards accomplishing a new movement or personal goal. Whether it's losing weight, gaining weight or becoming a better athlete, I couldn't think of a better environment to improve your fitness goals. Anyone can come in to check out a class for the first time. Bring a friend or meet 50 new ones when you arrive.

I've been Crossfitting since 2010 and have been working out at Comanche since August 2012. The programming is excellent and community is second to none. I travel extensively for work, so I regularly have the opportunity to compare Comanche to the Crossfit community as a whole. While most boxes have their strengths and weaknesses, Comanche is solid is all areas. David's Crossfit credentials are unparalleled in the Cincinnati area, so his leadership can be trusted with both new and experienced Crossfitters. Come on in. You won't regret it.

This was my first encounter with crossfit (joined Jan 2015) and I cannot say enough good things about Comanche. The coaches are really what make the it such a positive experience. They work with you to practice form and skill, and are able to adapt the workouts to a comfortable yet challenging level - my mom is a member as well! Highly recommend Comanche to experienced and novice athletes.

I've been going to Comanche Crossfit for almost 3 years now and have loved everything about it. The camaraderie and laid back atmosphere are two of my favorite qualities of the gym and I've made some great friends along the way. We love pushing each other and becoming better #athletes but at the same time know how to have a good time doing it. If you are also interested in honing your Olympic lifting skills, this is a great gym for that. Dave (the owner) and some others at the gym just invested a good amount of time and money into an Olympic weightlifting room. If you want to work on the lifts while a normal class is in progress, you can do it at this gym. Overall, I would highly recommend this gym to anyone.

I have been working out here since the old location was in existence. I have never been in better shape in my life! There was a recent addition to a weightlifting specific room to work on Clean and Jerks and Snatches specifically and to have separate space from the normal CrossFit classes. I met tons of great people and we all enjoy the atmosphere and getting stronger and more fit every day. Highly recommend joining to everyone!

As an avid fitness fanatic, I have always wanted to find new ways to push myself and increase my physical and mental health. CrossFit has done just that, and the Comanche gym, owned by Dave Pertuset, has been the perfect box to fit the bill. The gym has a load of different features to keep the programming and competitions new and exciting, and the ominous building it lies in is pretty sweet.

The people are awesome, the coaches are excited and eager to teach, and the egos of members are almost nonexistent - as compared to just about any other gym I have been to. As a student at a nearby University, our CrossFitness club shares an excitement to get to train here in a cool location within Cincinnati.

Awesome gym. Dave throws out some really good programming for crossfit athletes. There are multiple coaches all with different specialties, so you get a solid mix of strongman/gymnastics/endurance/mobility and of course Olympic weightlifting. I highly suggest it if anyone is interested in trying to get your foot in the door to any one of those sports.

If you are someone who thinks CrossFit sounds interesting but might be too intense for you, then fear not my friend. Comanche CrossFit caters to people of all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels who are looking to improve his or her physical well-being and cardiovascular fitness.

As a person who is constantly challenged by physical activity, Comanche is the one environment where I always feel accepted and encouraged. The community aspect is strong and the members are amazing. I have gained unexpected friendships and group outings have become a regular occurrence.

I am so happy to have been introduced to weight lifting by the owner, Dave, who has made strength training an enjoyable experience that has become a constant in my life. All of the coaches teach me to push through mental barriers and build mental toughness daily, and I look forward to reaching my goals together.

If you happen to live in this city or are just passing through–come WOD with us!

I'm a big fan of this CrossFit gym. I only started classes a few months ago and I have quickly learned a lot and have made nice strides in the weight I can lift and my overall fitness.

If you're considering checking out CrossFit for the first time, this is a great place to start. It's difficult, but you'll be amazed at how quickly you improve. The people are friendly and range in skill level, so just about anyone can fit in. The coaches are very knowledgeable and are happy to start with the basics. The gym's environment offers a great blend of structure, but also the feel that it's "your workout." If you want to lift lighter weight, focusing on form, no one is going to pressure you into going heavy... but when you need some encouragement to go big, it's there for you as well.

The location is also pretty wild... you work out in an old elementary school gymnasium. Everyone has a great time and gets a hell of a work out as well.

This place is so much more then just a crossfit gym!! I have been going for about a year now. I started in the crossfit classes and then became more interested in olympic weightlifting. Now I do a little of both. The crossfit programing is fantastic and can me modified for any skill level. When I started I had no idea what crossfit even was. Now I can't get enough of it.

The new weightlifting facility is great for anyone wanting to technically develop their skills or build stregnth. Dave is the absolute BEST and can help you with any movement or lift when you struggle. I have seen huge advances in my lifting since I started getting serious in January.

Since joining this gym, I have learned so many new skills, increased my strength, and have met some of the greatest people I know. I would recommend this place to anyone!!

I moved down to Cincinnati from Toledo this past fall and thought that finding the right crossfit gym would be a huge pain in the ass. (i was very happy with Crossfit Toledo, my previous gym) I knew from the first session I attended at Crossfit Comanche that it was the gym for me. The people here are super friendly and supportive giving the gym that great community feel. Dave (head coach/owner) is not only extremly knowledgeable when it comes to the sport of crossfit and overall fitness, he is also very friendly and a good "down to earth" dude. As far at the facility, you couldnt ask for a better one especially now that they have recently added the olympic weightlifting room which is separate from the main gym. The weightlifting room is equipt with 4 platforms, jerk blocks, multiple squat racks, bearing barbells, and i hear competition style plates will soon be added to the room. Overall, the gym is both great for your typical crossfit and offers a weightlifting room that you will not find in most crossfit gyms. I highly recommend this gym to everyone, especially those interested in olympic weightlifting.

CrossFit Comanche is a great place for anyone looking to have fun while getting a great workout in. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking to get into the best physical shape possible. Not only is this a great place for the average person looking to get awesome gains they also have the best Olympic Weightlifting program in Cincinnati. They specialize in Olympic Weightlifting which is a very difficult skill to learn and they have mastered the art of teaching it. I would highly recommend this to any serious CrossFitters looking to perfect the art Olympic Weightlifting. The owner David will help you with your nutrition and show you how to make dieting very easy. Also you can get Beverly International Supplement at a great price!!! This space is a win!

Comache is an awesome place to work out especially if you're focused on Olympic lifting. There is a separate room with 4 platforms that is dedicated to oly lifting and Dave (owner) is an awesome coach. He helped me through multiple plateaus in my training. Great nutrition advice also.

Cool members of all experience levels keep you coming back. Varied but systematic programming and periodization lead to new PRs often.

Would recommend to anyone interested in fitness.

Come to this gym to get stronger, faster, healthier, or just to look good naked. Whatever your personal fitness goals are, there's no better place to meet and eventually exceed them.

In addition to Crossfit, the owner/coach has a background in body building, Olympic lifting, and personal training. He has a remarkable understanding of the human body and how to make it move more efficiently.

They also just built a brand new Olympic lifting facility, which is a tremendous resource unlike any I've seen in a Crossfit gym.
