Westside Personal Training is a fitness studio and gym located off the Detroit Shoreway. We specialize in strength training and building sustainable habits which lead to weight loss. We emphasize the important of good form and truly care about our clients health and well being. We offer 1-1 personal training in addition to small group classes ( 3-4 people max).

I starting coming to Liz 9 months ago. She takes time to learn what your goals are and works with you where you are at. The environment she creates is comfortable and safe. I’ve gained a new sense of confidence because of her and her program.
I’d recommend Westside Personal Training to anyone, of any age and ability.

Liz is amazing! Her space is welcoming and perfect for individual or small group training. It is difficult to find a trainer and facility where you don't feel intimidated, but this is not the case with Westside Personal Training.

I’ve loved Westside Personal training since my first session. Both Liz and Alex are extremely knowledgable in the fitness industry and hold themselves to a high standard. I’ve gained a whole new outlook on taking care of your body and building up muscle I didn’t know I had. They make the one on one training as personal as it gets when it comes to attention to detail and your desired goals. Would absolutely recommend 👍🏻💪🏻

Liz is the best personal trainer I’ve ever come across. She goes above and beyond for her clients, is so knowledgeable while also always learning and increasing her knowledge base, and does an amazing job at meeting you where you’re at. She always challenges me enough to help me meet my goals and feel my best without making me uncomfortable. She is so kind, thoughtful, and professional. It is not uncommon for her to send a text to check in on me after a session or give me personalized recs throughout the week. It is evident she is passionate about what she does because she gives her job 110%, meaning she gives her clients 110%. I’m so glad to have found Liz!!!

I worked with Liz when I was pregnant. She listened to what my goals were and crafted workouts that were very challenging while also safe for my pregnancy body. I loved working with her but unfortunately we moved away and I couldn’t continue in person training. Would highly recommend Liz.

Liz is the best! So knowledgeable, supportive and kind. Meets you where you’re at and focuses on what you want to focus on. Liz creates a space for group classes to be non intimidating and fun. I trained during the summer home from college with Liz and she is AMAZING! She really talks to you and with you about what you’re looking for and how she is going to do her program with you. She demonstrates everything and helps you through it to make sure you’re doing it effectively and not causing harm to your body. This was my first personal trainer experience and I am so glad I went with Liz! She is super friendly, knows what she’s doing and makes working out feel fun and not like a chore. And better yet, she hypes you up with everything you do!! I will definitely be coming back 😊

I love this training and my trainer, Liz. She feels more like a friend than a trainer to me and exercises are more fun and go by faster when talking with a friend. but she is not only super nice and funny, but she is also really good at helping me to get better and improve my physical health at my own pace. Liz is an amazing personal trainer! She knows the in depth science behind weight lifting and cardiovascular performance. I would wholeheartedly trust her and her ability to get you in shape or improve your strength. I was able to improve my squat tremendously with her advice and guidance. I have been working with Liz for three years. She has been immensely patient with me as I have gotten sick and needed to recover, or fallen off of my fitness goals. Because of Liz’s patience, I have been able to stick with it and become so much stronger. I remember struggling to pick up a 45 lb barbell with my hips and now I can lift it with one hand. My knees feel better, my shoulder mobility is so improved, and I feel like I can do more things every day. Strength training isn’t just about building muscles, but about enabling your body to live a life and just able to do more things. I am so grateful to Liz and the work she has done with me.

Alex is an awesome personal trainer. While training with him in a sport-specific group training program he was super attentive to the group and me as an individual as well. Alex is one of the most elite coach’s that I have ever had. He always shows up with a smile on his face along with some great energy. Before I met Alex my lifting had kinda plateaued, I was having a hard time progressing and he got me over that hump and had me lifting the most weight I ever had in my entire life and FAST! Would highly recommend, whether you are new to lifting or heavily experienced, he will help you!
