My review is based on my personal experience here at this gym. My hope is that yours will be better than mine but I will always share my truth along the way. I am giving this place of business 1 star, and this is not something that I normally would do. I will also provide a detailed description as to why.

As time went on I enjoyed their outdoor portion of the gym. I began to use that area more frequently. I would use that area to train and frequently go in/out of the door that provided entrance into the main gym. This is the part where things began to get odd.

After using the outdoor facilities one day, I started training indoors right after. A gentlemen approached me in the middle of my session stating that I can not use that door to come in and out of. He approached me with street clothing, no logos associated with the gym & he never introduce himself to me. Till this day I have absolutely no idea who this man is. He could potentially be the gym owner, and I honestly would never know because he never introduced himself to me- which needs to be noted. Based on my observation, he is one of the trainers here. He is an older gentleman and appears to be the shortest in height out of all of the available trainers.

This altercation started with him telling me to to use the main entrance going forward and I nodded my head and was about to turn away and resume training. As stated- he interrupted me mid-session in the middle of the gym to have this conversation with me. Despite my attempt to resume training he then began to question me about my access. I advised I had access and I use the app. He told me to access the gym on my phone right now so they could check me in for insurance purposes, so I began to do so by pulling out my phone. While accessing the app on my phone, I noticed him slowly leaning towards my personal cell phone screen to look at MY phone. Again, ODD. So I backed up just a little bit so there was enough space between us. He then starts moving his hand around my phone trying to point things out as if I don’t know how to work my own phone. I also never asked for his assistance to begin with, so this was already extremely annoying. Absolutely unprofessional and invasive to say the least. The whole situation could’ve been dealt with differently.

But here’s where it got even MORE odd.. more unprofessional… and more invasive. I wanted to get away from this guy so bad that I walked to the front desk and pretended like I did not know how to sign in and have them manually do it for me. The two girls were very sweet and signed me in and let me know about the status of my account.

After that I grabbed my things and left the gym. My entire mood was disturbed so I packed up and called it a day.
WITHIN THE NEXT 24 HOURS, the social media account for gym followed my personal page. SO HERE’S WHAT HAPPENED

This man went to the front desk after I had left that day and asked the girls for my personal information. He used the information available to look up my social media account. This is completely unprofessional, invasive and a true breach of security.
If he is looking up my name what else is he going to do? He has full access to my address, my phone number, and my credit card information on file.
So now what else is he going to do with that information?
Again- completely unprofessional, invasive and a true breach of security. This behavior is not okay. Especially coming from someone who is at an age where this behavior can lead to major consequences. As a working professional and adult, he should know better.

Looking up members personal information and using it in a way that has not been approved by the member is extremely dangerous. This is also very uncomfortable as the member because all other information is now comprised.

Cant give this place enough stars... I had a great visit to the gym. I was in the area for business and stopped in to check it out. Cannot speak highly enough about the gym it has everything! Old school, new school. This definately isnt your typical gym. Definately will be making a special trip back in the future!

Been going for years and I highly recommend it if you're serious about your health and fitness!!! They have personal trainers, protein shakes, healthy meals you can purchase and cook on the premises. They have outdoor equipment as well. I can't say enough about this place. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT !!!

Great Gym and equipment but the Bathrooms are simply awful. MGMT even gets upset when you mention this! As a paying customer it doesn't make sense why I list a valid complaint and MGMT gets upset about said complaint. The situation with the bathrooms is awful. There is also random leaks everywhere and just general uncleanliness. If this were cleaned like a PF it would be 5/5, but you cant over look nastiness.

Since I’ve lived in Cincinnati I’ve tried four other gyms besides this one. I don’t have anything bad to say about this gym. So much equipment, great culture, helpful staff, supplements and smoothies, great atmosphere, clean, open 24/7. Would recommend this gym to anyone trying to lift at whatever experience level.

If there was a spot to review the equipment and only the equipment, I would rate that a 10/10. There is every machine you can possibly think of when you are here. The atmosphere with the people is friendly, but the only reason I’m rating this gym this low is because of the bathroom and the cleanliness of the facilities. There is a lot of dust, and sometimes the machines are dirty, but that can be prevented by gym etiquette. The only thing that I can’t stand is the filthy bathrooms. I mean, you walk by them and you can already smell the wretchedness coming out of there. It smells so bad, and there is piss everywhere, like nobody cleans or wants to clean because it’s so nasty. The drywall is tearing apart by the toilets and urinals, and it’s a bit concerning. I’ve been a paying customer for 2 years now, and it’s never been as bad as it is now. It’s inexcusable. The conditions are not how they used to be. I’m not sure if it’s some employee negligence or customer behavior, but it really is unbearable. Take this as constructive criticism, please. I hope the bathrooms get fixed or renovated.

What a great gym. The people who go here are serious about fitness and you’ll see a lot of athletes prepping for competition. The protein bar is excellent. Lots of friendly people go there so you’ll definitely make friends at some point. Plus, people are serious about their fitness so it’s motivating and it helped me get better results.

Great gym. They have an outside area with all kinds of equipment. Inside is always adding new equipment or changing out to new equipment. They clean well, music can be a it loud at times. And it gets super crowded mon,wed,Thur nights. I got after lunch. Perfect.

Excellent gym. It's a nice clean facility. The staff and experienced members are helpful and polite. The gym has a nice mix of free weights, cardio equipment, and functional cross fitness gear. The cost is very reasonable and less than most comparable facilities. On the downside, it is very crowded, especially after work hours, and, the facility is very cramped with all the equipment and weights.

Cancelled my membership in July and have still been getting charged for the membership. Took MY cancellation receipt in AS PROOF OF CANCELLATION and the front desk rep said “we don’t do refunds” ???

From the reviews, I can see this is a constant problem at this gym which is unprofessional and needs to be addressed by the owner/manager.

Moved to Texas so I had to cancel my membership before I left, which I did. I discover 3 months later that they were still charging me the membership fee every month. I call and they tell me they don’t have a cancellation form signed to prove I cancelled. Their staff never had me sign the form, they just gave me a “you’re good” and to my knowledge my membership was cancelled. I spent 6 days a week for almost a year training here and treated the facility, members and staff with respect. It’s unfortunate that the ownership doesn’t show the same respect to their members when an issue comes up that was caused by a lack of following procedure on their part. Not my fault that their guys didn’t have me sign a form. They put money above integrity which is pretty silly considering the small amount that 3 months of a membership is. If you go here or want to go here it’s a great gym with lots of quality members and equipment. Wish I had the same compliments for the ownership.

I love the gym but you have to hang posters of arnold, ronnie n other greats I find it wrong to only hang yourself and a few other (only female) lifters knowing that 58% of gym members are men just speaking the truth, to build a uplifting environment you need to consider both sides🤷‍♂️.

Have been a member for one year. I use the facility three to four times a week. I give the facility and staff high marks. The place is open 24 hrs, clean, convenient, terrific selection of weight machines, free weights, cardio and areas to stretch and relax. A nice mix of members young and old most of whom are serious about resistance training and making the most of their time at the gym. Both the members and the staff are quick to answer equipment questions and assist when needed. Put focused time into this place and the results you seek will be realized.

A lot of people really do not like the new posters that have been popping up. Not the least bit inspiring or motivational. Also seems kind of sexist that the pictures are ONLY of women, not a single male.

Dumbbells still need welded/re-bolted otherwise they rattle around unevenly while the handles spin. Good gym minus the newfound eyesores and dumbbell quality. Shakes are fantastic, the "Piledriver" is delicious!

No communication. No management available to talk to when there is an issue. Either employees are not paying attention, are on their phones constantly or acknowledge what you are saying. It’s not apart of a large corporate business and this was the reason I switched to Worlds in the first place … I needed a local gym that offers a real place to train and workout for people that put in the work - not Drama … and a traditional gym with the right equipment, mindset/incentive of the members and what they say is a community atmosphere. Leave your ego at home and come here to get it done. It’s very disappointing that all these stated benefits are either not true for this location or not enough to make it worth being a member. Members should always be the priority... after just a few months I had to cancel!
The owners seem to be more concerned with playing a role rather than actually running a business. If you do approach the owner present they are immediately defensive or seem to care or have interest in what you are actually saying. Members do not feel comfortable asking a question about membership or need clarification.
One of the female employees at the front desk said she doesn’t like white people..this was said out loud while she was working that was heard by other members. A statement like this or any racial slur is obviously not at all professional or acceptable.
The facility is not thoroughly cleaned or seemingly sanitized as needed for a gym. Especially the bathrooms and they often lack staff available to go into each gender specific bathrooms to check that they are cleaned up or stocked on a regular basis each day. If you speak upon it or tell them something needs cleaned up, employees either ignore what was said, respond defensively or nonchalant. It just seems very apparent that they do not care to take care of members and understand what’s needed or have policies in place to have scheduled cleaning as needed in a business that houses a constant flow of people coming in and out.

The owners of World Gym are absolutely amazing. The equipment is great, everything is taken care of and clean. I’ve NEVER been to a cleaner gym. They have a smoothie bar, supplements you can purchase and the staff is always nice and friendly. Every morning I am greeted with a hello and good morning when I walk through their doors. I actually love the gym itself (Though they also need to fix their dumbbells. Some of them are loose and welded so you're unable to tighten them) and taking the alpha boot camp class but we've had issues with the some of the staff and policies. We've tried reaching out to the owners multiple with no response. And we were only going to talk about policies, not the fact that we felt targeted and singled out. There's even, at least one staff member, that NO ONE has ever said anything nice about. Not one member I met there. They all called this person by some pretty bad names.
But we have also come to realize that they don't actually care about their members unless they're trying to compete. They don't care about your mental health or wellbeing. And I can't support that. So many ppl use the gym for their mental health, and for that to be frowned upon and targeted. I couldn't stay.

Best ratio of free weights to machines. No waiting for machines. WIDE variety of equip: free weights, machines, cardio equip, stair climber and a unique ladder climb. Outdoor training area and a large parking lot. Posing areas, xfit area, tanning and even a kids center. I've been around the world, and this is by far the best gym I've trained at... I couldn't ask for more out of what I deem "The True Mecca"

They charge you two months of membership ($60) upon cancelling your membership. Absolutely ridiculous. Also sometimes there are people mostly naked (literally just a thong) who stand in front of the mirrors in the weight room and pose. I have seen it on multiple occasions. Between that and the obnoxious weight slamming cannot recommend.

I recently talked to the owner and they really seem committed to keeping the same great environment that World Gym has always had. Every time I have been in there, everybody is so supportive, and non-judgmental.

No matter what your goals are, this will be a place you can achieve them, I know I have achieved mine partly because of this place.

I am an Expierenced weight lifter, worked in a couple gyms myself, and I absolutely love this gym. Ruth, one of the owners, is so friendly and went out of her way to let me tour the gym, answered all my questions, and even told me some history of the gym itself and her expierence in the fitness industry! Shes super down to earth. Members are all cool and focused on their goals, very respectful of everyone around them. So much equipment, love being here. The two blonde girls at the front desk are also super sweet! (Sorry I don't know their names!)

I’ve been a member at Fitworks, planet fitness, and LA fitness. In my mind this is a professional gym for serious weight lifters and exercise enthusiast. But anybody can work out here. No judgments and No “lunk alarms here Because you are expected to drop the weights. They have floor protectors everywhere. Lots of treadmills and stationary bikes.
They have every machine you can think of. I mean, they have a neck machine! The only other place that I saw had a neck machine was the Fitworks in Forest Park. But that place is closed down. They even have machines outside so you can tan while you work out. My only recommendation would be to expand and make the place bigger. They seem to have room and some land on the southside to expand. I only regret that I didn’t join sooner.

I am from Las Vegas, visiting my sister in Fairfield. This is a clean, small gym with lots of goodies. Plenty of space for parking. Nice selection of equipment to play with. The people are courteous. The staff is friendly. I never wait too for a machine. The owner treats the members well. I can tell because of my sister's loyalty to this gym. If I lived locally, I would definitely become a member.

A true judgement free zone. Everyone is accepting of everyone. It really amazes me how the purple gym claims it’s a judgement free zone, yet they call anyone who works out with intensity, a lunk. Furthermore, they attempt to embarrass you by singling you out by setting off an alarm. I prefer a grungy gym, with real people, and true acceptance of everyone. Also, excellent selection of free weights and machines, and an awesome smoothie bar. Thanks for staying true to your roots World Gym. I’m happy to be a member.

This is a great gym! Free weights everywhere! They have an excellent staff and excellent trainers available. The price is around $20/month which is a steal for what you get! The outside equipment looks amazing although I have not had the opportunity to use it yet. All of the members seem very laid back and friendly. Try a smoothie at the front desk because they are awesome!

Out of the 7 states I've spent time in and countless gyms, this gym is by far the best. Very inclusive for all the flavors of lifting. The kind of gym most guys dream of building, but with more thought put into it. The equipment isnt shiny new, but it is a real gym where people work out and everything is maintained. Even if you're not close by, this gym is worth the drive.

Members and staff interact like family! Owners are very engaging and friendly. Prices are fair and competitive. Large free weight area. Would definitely recommend for hardcore weightlifters.

So far I'm enjoying the place. I will say that the hrs feel about shortened. If at all possible 10 pm being the closing time would be preferred. Having more updated fly machines would be nice because the current ones aren't the most ergonomical. But so far it's not too bad!
