The front desk has a very group think type of mentality when it comes to customer service. I had an experience with the Saturday Feb 18th, 2023, 11am front desk staff that required demonstration of integrity, individual thinking, and genuine professional customer service. Instead 4 staff members followed behind their very unprofessional manager Dawn. For anyone who has a customer service issue with this manager, be VERY VERY careful! She will look for every opportunity to put the customer at fault so that she comes out shining instead of resolving your customer issue. Good Luck!

I would give it five stars but there are several people who seems to think everyone wants to hear their music, so they play their music out loud. Got music from this side got music from that side in front of me, very annoying and distracting. Really creates a bad atmosphere especially when the rule state you're supposed to have earbuds in. Hostile workout environment for sure.
I will tell you if something isn't done about it I will start playing mine out loud as well so everyone can hear it too and I don't want to hear anything about it.
Also people seem to bring in their whole group and take up all of the weights and all of the benches for an hour and a half and no one else can use anything.
If you're going to have a group workout then you should rent out a room to have a group workout. By the way the ones having a group workout are the ones playing their music loud so everyone else can hear it and everyone else doesn't want to hear it. Extremely annoying.
Please make it stop.

I have several aqua classes I attend. Love the teachers, Chris W and Rio. They make it fun while making you sweat in the water. Facilities are clean and new. Staff is friendly and welcoming.
My how things have changed. Not by their choice both of those instructors are gone. And others as well. But I have made so many friends I dont want to workout elsewhere.

We love the YMCA and all things offered. We visit several times a week mainly to swim and play at the splash pad. I called today and was told the outdoor pool hours were until 3:30p but the facility stays open until 4pm. When the pool closed we went into the shower room to shower and handle medical needs for my grandson. Employees started beating on the door as I kept saying βalmost finished one momentβ I opened the door and the man stated we are closed and you have to leave. I said we are showering and I was told we have until 4p. He then says guests are expected to shower at home when they are closing. I cried all the way home. We are having a really hard time in life right now and I never expected to be treated like that from an employee. He did apologize and I did also but if you could please let guests know of your policies when we check in that would be great. Had you said 3:30 we would have been gone by 3:30. Not 3:47p. Smh . Iβm not sure weβre coming back to this facility.

The management is horrible with responding to emails and complaints. If you do get a reply it's a generic answer and not a resolution to the problem.

The Reynoldsburg YMCA is so dysfunctional and I've personally spoken with so many frustrated members that at times I think they should just shut it completely down until they can hire some leadership that actually WANTS to solve problems. And actually WANTS to hire enough staff to keep the basketball courts MAINTAINED correctly and the outside pool OPEN and operating for it's members.
THE BASKETBALL COURTS: Over the past year or two I've contacted countless YWCA people explaining that when the 4 basketball hoops even have nets they are not being installed properly at all. They are being rigged with 12 zip ties each which tend to scratch up any good balls members bring and is actually DANGEROUS if someone's hand accidently gets caught in the net because it can't then breakaway. The "reason" they say they can't install nets PROPERLY is the maintenance guy is tired of doing HIS JOB because some of the kids hang on the nets. COME ON SERIOUSLY!!! It's his job! And management saying they can't control KIDS at their business is ridiculous. I've said many times just put up a sign saying anybody caught in person or on camera hanging on the basketball net will have their membership suspended for a month... and then do that. Kick a couple kids out for a month, word would quickly spread, problem solved. But just like why they can't DO THEIR JOBS and replace the nets properly the "management leaders" there say they don't have any staff that can keep an eye on the gym so they've decide to just let THE CHILDREN run the show.
THE POOL: They never hire enough Lifeguards and they can't keep any POOL MANAGER that even remotely cares if members can't use their pool. This pool should accommodate 100 people but it's usually only allowing 50. And even then it most often doesn't open on time. And what you end up with is 16 year old Lifeguards handing out excuses for their management. Like... Pool Supervisor quit... Pool Supervisor is doing multiple pools and the Reynoldsburg one isn't her "priority"... just found out at opening time pool chemicals aren't right... pool is an inch lower than maximum and NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO FILL IT... or somebody there does know how to add water BUT THEY AREN'T ALLLOWED IN THE PUMP ROOM TO DO IT BECAUSE THEY AREN'T 18. They can't even go in the pump room to show another employee who is 18 how to turn on the water spiqot. They're always trying to "call somebody" to get permission TO DO THEIR JOBS! And that takes literally hours. So it's... get there early and stand in line for the pool to open late. Then tons of members get stopped from entering because of an ever evolving laundry list of reasons.
PLEASE SOMEBODY ON THE REYNOLDSBURG CITY COUNSEL OR THE MAYOR'S OFFICE LOOK INTO THIS AND PUSH YOUR CITY'S YMCA TO HIRE SOMEBODY WHO CARES AND CAN GET THINGS DONE!!!

The outdoor Reynoldsburg YMCA is awesome!! The lifeguards are on it, and everyone seems nice that we have met there so far. If your kid wants to swim in the deep in, they can take the swim test on the 15 minute break and once your kid passes it, they get a green wrist band. Each day your family comes to the pool, when you check in at the outdoor desk, ask for the green wrist band. (only if your kid has passed the swim test) During the 15 minute swim break, all adults over 18 can swim. It's really nice for the adults! The outdoor pool can get crowded. Attached is a video of the outdoor YMCA pool! Hope that helps! π

Very nice, newer looking facility with helpful, friendly and cheeeful staff.
Never knew it was close to my home and about 11 minutes away.
Taking adult swim lessons and Diane is great! I took lessons at another location from a teen who admitted he never taught adulrs. After our class he immediately went to tge kuddies and was much better. I never went back...even I taught a young man scared of putting his face in the water how to do itπ³!
I feel Diane will get me to where I desire...treading water in the deep end.
Outside pool area looks impressive.

One star because swim lessons. I'm sitting here watching an actual swim teacher teach children how to swim and the difference is night and day from what the YMCA does and completely obvious that this person is actually qualified and skilled as opposed to a teenager set they use at the y. I will not spend another red cent on swim lessons at the y ever again. Woefully ineffective.

The outdoor pool is great in the summer. We just tried the indoor pools for the first time and they are really nice! While I wish there was more and clearer communication in general with our YMCA, overtime we've learned more and more about the facility, their schedules, and the amenities available to us as members.

I love the classes and my favorite is the bodypump that i got to try today. but on the other hands They never told me that the child watch Time is 1:30 min and almost threw hands with me when i tried to pick up my kids the worst is it is my first time trusting leaving my babies somewhere. Warn people so that you don't make them feel like bad parents. Also closes too early on weekends. Its really hard to have real fun at the pool with kids, lifeguards are always saying stuffs no one understands because of the echos.

I'm giving you a three-star I came in here at 6:15 to register for swim classes for the summer. I was told that the registration wouldn't start until 7:00 I went outside and sat in my car until 6:45 once returning inside I was given a number my number was number nine never once did she tell me she would be handing out numbers while sitting in here I'm looking at individuals that wasn't even here when I arrived at 6:15 with numbers way ahead of mine and very slow with the registration process. It is now 7:30 and I'm still waiting

The Reynoldsburg YMCA is truly an outstanding facility that delivers an exceptional experience from beginning to end. From the moment you walk in, the front desk staff welcomes you with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a smooth check-in process and answering any questions with a smile. Their friendliness sets the tone for a great visit every time.
The facility itself is well-maintained, clean, and equipped with up-to-date, fully functioning machines that make workouts enjoyable and efficient. Whether youβre using the cardio equipment, strength training machines, or free weights, everything is in excellent condition, making it easy to focus on your fitness goals.
One of the biggest highlights of the Reynoldsburg YMCA is the Aqua Zumba class led by Chris Walker. This class is an absolute must-try! Chris is an incredible instructor who brings enthusiasm, energy, and encouragement to every session. His upbeat and engaging style makes for an excellent workout that is both fun and effective. Aqua Zumba is the perfect way to stay active while enjoying the water, and Chris ensures that everyone, from beginners to seasoned participants, gets the most out of the experience.
Beyond the classes and equipment, the Reynoldsburg YMCA fosters a fantastic community environment. There are plenty of activities and programs for both individuals and families, making it a great place to connect with others and stay active together. Whether youβre looking for a high-energy workout, a family-friendly space, or simply a welcoming atmosphere, this YMCA delivers on all fronts.
Overall, the Reynoldsburg YMCA is a top-tier facility that provides an all-around excellent experience. With a dedicated staff, modern equipment, and outstanding classes like Aqua Zumba with Chris Walker, itβs a place that keeps you coming back for more!

We will be cancelling very soon as we have not had the experience that was worth what we are paying for them. There are inconsistencies with the online schedule vs in person. There is always an issue with lack of lifeguards. My son had a HORRIBLE camp experiance that had to involve the director, and lastly they had told us that our 8 yr old son was ok to be on the treadmill beside his father, so that he could exercise as he is very overweight and needs the pool as well as other tools to help him lose weight, and was allowed to do so for about a couple months or so, but as of the other day my husband was told by someone in the facility that he could no longer join his father. We are DONE!

Rude and impossible to work with. Iβm embarrassed that my taxes go to supporting people who act like trying to get my blind and disabled brother a pool is a crime. They kept asking me if he was there, and a member - I had to explain repeatedly that I was his POA and doing the legwork for him. Then they wouldnβt take the proof of SSI/SSDI for his income- something that even social service agencies do - and got outright belligerent when we were surprised about this. They want him to go to SS and get a statement that he has zero income when in fact he does have the SSI/SSDI. awful service.

Lotsa Car break-ins around East side of Columbus, hotels, & YMCA. The park lot is lighted and security cameras. Do NOT park on the north side Overflow lot by the river/trail.
The Y is the best facility around tho for fitness! Use The app for classes &schedule. the weight room is huge, tons of cardio fitness and a state of art spinning room/classes. The pool is perfect for Triathlon training/lap swim and fun kids pool areas. They did it right and itβs so much cheaper than Lifetime fitness which will not put in aquatic to their facility!!

I have been a member of Ymca for over 2 years .
Since the YMCA Gahanna pool got closed for maintenance I gave a last chance to Reynoldsburg location but never again I will go there. I'm a professional swimmer and this morning the big black man touched me on the shoulder and asked me to share with him and I said I'm not comfortable to share with a man in respect toy husband. A pool manager chased me to another side of the pool and told me I have to share. No I don't if I'm not comfortable. It's first come first served. Then the guard asked me to get out of the pool. This place so much of disrespect to their valuable members because they like nothing but the gossiping. And I guess what! This man got in the pool for chatting with others on the next lane and the guard told me to get out the pool I got out and cursed them out. Never ever again REYNOLDSBURG......

It's a good gym. The machines are not the cleanest but they do provide cleaning sprays for you to use. The pool is very nice, although I wish they had more lap lanes and didn't close it so early. Locker rooms are clean. The weight room is good but I always feel like I'm in someone's way, there's not enough room. Overall it's worth the money if you want a pool. If you're just looking for cardio equipment, look somewhere cheaper.

First off, it's ridiculous how you have to stand in line. Only 50 people are allowed in the outdoor pool at a time. Second of all. I learned today that none of the cameras on the outside parking lot. Even work. My vehicle was hit and I was parked right in front of a camera only to alert the staff to be told. Yes, we have cameras, but none of them work, but yet this place. Advertisers safety and community, I no longer feel like I'm safe or sense of community. Cause again. You have security cameras that don't work today. It was my car tomorrow. It could be my life.

Called to make sure the pools were open before coming and they said yes. When we got there they said they were both at capacity, in the 15 minutes it took us to get there. Then they said we were in a line. We saw like 3 families come in after. We finally gave up and left and when I drove by the outdoor pool the families that came after were in, so we had wasted our time. That's when things aren't canceled and the pool is open, which isn't often. The building is nice but the consistency is not. Spend a little extra and go to another gym.

People not putting weights away and employees letting it happen. It would also be nice to have an adult swim once a week. Can't even use the outdoor pool because of the amount of children.

As soon as we got there they shut the pool and they told everyone to get out and said they were done and it was a thirty minute wait

The cleanest facility I visit. As a Silver Sneaker I have free memberships and visit many gyms and the Y staff is superior

Two kids were having a fist fight behind the building last month. Last saturday, the police were called because someone pulled a βweaponβ (gun? Knife? Pretty important to state but they did not) on someone else during a basketball game. The response was to close the gym from basketball for the next two weeks. I love this gym, and I know itβs not the staffβs fault but I just donβt know that I feel safe here anymore.

The pool is rarely open. Everything is a disaster. Be careful, because when you cancel, they will continue to charge your card for a minimum of 3 to 4 months. I Posted about this in a local Reynoldsburg group on Facebook and had 47 other people say that they also continued to charge their card 4+ months after they canceled their membership and refused to refund any of the money back. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission, so have multiple other people in the community.
Be careful. These people know exactly what they are doing. It would probably be cheaper to just install a pool or buy a treadmill than give this place your money
