My nieces are in swim classes and they both love the coaches and are learning alot. I love the variety of equipment however it just needs updated as any typical old building does. They are working with what they have and they make my sweet little girls happy.

The Fairborn YMCA has been amazing for me and my family. The employees are so nice and accommodating. They have plenty of equipment to get a good workout in. Childwatch has been great to my kids, and the sports have been a lot of fun for my kids to play in.

If you are high maintenance and want brand new facilities/equipment, you will be disappointed; however, it’s not overly crowded like many other gyms and there is plenty of equipment and options there to get a good workout in.

I can’t say enough good things about the Fairborn Y and the impact they have had on my family's lives!

My put my son in tball through the ymca and he has had a ton of fun. How ever it has been a mess. We found out our practice schedule a day before our fist practice. Found out about photos 2 days before. So we have like 6 kids in our group photo. Then make up they gave everyone barley any notice. So it got canceled cause no one has time to plan. We have jobs other kids and appointments. How are you supposed to plan with such short windows of notifications? We register months in advance snd you guys can't have this planned?

So i was going to start my son here for preschool. Showed up for the paperwork i had spoke with the staff director that morning about grabbing so my son could start the next day. When j showed up red flag one. Staff director wouldnt let me in to walk around because she had to be in a class they are so understaffed. I said so i cant walk through though hes supposed to start tomorrow? She said. Well he doesnt start till i say hes going to start. 😦 whatever! However the preschool was right by the front door and got to see “play time” all kids in a small grass lot no toys all wearing hoodies i hot weather and not one child looked happy as the staff just played on her phone. Nope! Im good on that! But then my kids wanted to play at the park and the public park is a complete hazard my 1yr old somehow cut her arm on a baby swing, the whole play place is breaking down with sharp rusty metal and the slide has no joke like a 3 ft drop at the end

This location had a tournament for Basketball yesterday and was horrible they are cheaters, racist and will do anything for a team with more whites to win. And is okay with a man touching a woman and if she voices her opinion will not keep you safe at all do not recommend dealing with this bad location they are horrible!

Staff are kind and welcome me with a member packet but that's not all. They gave me gym access to my 12 year old not free weight I think it's not fair to do a swim test to be in deep in no matter what Y I go to they ask. Pool is often clean they should take that sign down it say backyard pool

30 minute swim lesson in level 4. Kid swam less than 10 seconds total. Yes, you read that correctly, 10 seconds! Huge waste of time and money. We won’t be attending the rest of the month

Be careful of this place and their shady business practices. Once you terminate your membership, they will continue charging you despite no payment on file - and then send that to collections.

You are much better off going to Planet Fitness or other gyms in the area.

Hello! I signed my daughter up for ballet at the Fairborn branch back in February. The class kept getting pushed back and pushed back because the instructor was “injured”, and the class never happened. I have called and called many times trying to get ahold of Codee for a refund but he has yet to respond. We will no longer be using this YMCA location for our daughter to participate in sports. I have several documents of proof for payment of the ballet class. Please contact me ASAP to resolve this issue. Thank you!

First off there to many people in the small room to clock my kid out at the end of the day so I simply wait my turn meanwhile my kid attempts to walk to me before I can even tell him to stop miss destiny wants to yell at me saying I’m not allowed to take him when I’m simply waiting to be able to walk in the door to even be able to clock him out just like the sign says only two permitted at once even though there were like 5 people in the room plus kids whom I’m assuming she wasn’t able to watch and let them run wild I definitely was following ymca procedures and didn’t like being yelled at by. Some young girl that can barley do her job great job ymca keep hiring kids to watch kids !!!

My wife and I have been going to the Fairborn YMCA for approximately one year. The employees at this facility are very polite, respectful, and competent. Equipment is promptly cleaned after each use and mask wearing is enforced when not using the equipment. This facility offers a safe, family-friendly environment with many programs. We enjoy going to the Fairborn YMCA and would recommend this facility to everyone!

I love coming to work out in the mornings at the Fairborn YMCA. It's smaller and older than a lot of the other Dayton area Y's, but it's well maintained, reasonably clean and has all new, top-of-the-line equipment. Glad to have it close to home.

If I could give it no stars I would. When you walk into the women's locker room, you are immediately knocked over by the stink. It must never be touched by maintenance. I go to use the showers in the women's locker room, they're disgusting. I never go in without my shoes on and barely want to touch the handle. Today I wanted to turn the fan on by the treadmill I was going to walk on and of course, it's broken. I asked an employee about it and she said no one from maintenance was scheduled until Tuesday...today is Sunday. That is totally unacceptable and disgusting. I will be ending my membership.

I have been going here for about a year.
I can't say enough positive things about the woman that run the childwatch area.

My 2 year old has never been away from me and these ladies worked with him and myself for 6 months getting him acclimated to coming and playing for an hour a day without me.

The building is a bit older, but don't be dismayed by that, it's still a great facility. The equipment is new and top of the line. They have plenty of machines and free weights. I love coming here. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Everyone is really helpful. There is a wide variety of classes and lessons they offer. The people at the child watch are wonderful with my little one. I highly recommend the Fairborn Y.

I truly enjoy coming to the YMCA in Fairborn! Simply one of the best Y's I have ever been to! The staff is extremely helpful with any questions that you may have, and always willing to find the answer for you! The morning receptionist is perfectly outstanding! Patricia always greets her morning members with a great smile and a warm welcome! Encourages you to have a wonderful day after your work out! If I haven't said it before I will say it again, she brightens up my morning when I see her! The sauna they have available is wonderful! Locker rooms are always clean, the equipment is always in tip top shape! You can tell that this Y is run very well because even the members will talk to you. Had a great crowd all throughout the day, and the classes they have are superb! The trainers they have here will push you, to make sure you always do you best! I hope to see many new faces here at the Fairborn Y!

Parents who are considering using their school age program, save your time, your money, and your sanity. These folks are not capable of maintaining any kind of organization at all. Between the rude "counselors", the ones using curse words around children, or the ones belittling and shouting at children, I'm surprised they haven't been closed down. But the horrible attitudes weren't the straw that broke the back, the complete lack of organization and disregard for for my child's well being did it. FYI if your child shares a similar first name with another child, they will get them mixed up, your child will end up in the wrong place, and these people will not care. It's only a matter of time before they're closed down.
