I absolutely love taking yoga classes here! It's such a welcoming community, and the classes are both accessible and challenging enough for both body & mind. Zen is a great companion too ;)

I attended the Soothing Flow class today. The instructor was awesome and her flow was fun and well-designed. I only wish I had been able to hear her better. I thought the music was really loud. I don't understand why yoga studios play music that competes with and overwhelms instructors' voices. Especially difficult for older students who may be hard of hearing.

This is truly a small business. The owner is local and one also of the best yoga instructors in town. This studio truly promotes and supports the community. They have lots of class options.

Ellen is a truly amazing person. You can tell that she has a passion for yoga and is always super warm, welcoming and inviting. I’ve been to a few different yoga studios in Columbus and I can say without a doubt that this studio is my favorite. I have only been practicing yoga for a few months but the environment and people that practice here make this my go-to spot for unwinding and forgetting about life’s everyday stressors.

My friend and I came here today to try out both of our first real yoga classes. Both of us had a great time, felt really welcomed and the routine was fun to follow along with.

Although I had an excellent flow during the Goodale Park community session I attended, the vibes were disgusting, especially given all the positive reviews I've read.

For starters, the instructor (let'a call her "Jane") came across as cold and judgmental. I am used to yoga instructors promoting a warm, relaxed, inclusive environment, no matter the location. Before class started, I overheard Jane and a student talking about another student. Because I did not hear the whole conservation, I am not sure if they were gossiping or bad-mouthing the other student, but their tones sounded snarky. Not a good look.

In addition to the above, the racism was unquestionable. Both the teacher and her helper were more attentive to the white students than they were to the two black students. For example, I overheard Jane's helper jovially ask two white women if they had pre-registered for the class and for their names so their attendance could be recorded. When said helper approached me, her entire demeanor changed: she asked for my name as if I were a troublemaker who happened to walk by the gazebo, yoga mat in tow. Another example: at the end of the session, both Jane and her helper belittled a black man sitting on the other side of the gazebo for choosing to continue playing his keyboard after both or one of the women asked him to stop until the session was done. While they were talking to each other and not to him, they were loud enough for him to hear. The whole scene reeked of entitlement, which, last I checked, has nothing to do with embodying zen.

To make a long story short, I won't be back.

I love this studio! I shopped around different studios in the city and this was by far the most welcoming. I knew it was the right place for me when the owner's dog was present for my first clasd πŸ₯°. The teachers are great, I'm super comfortable here. Schedule is great and signing up is easy. Highly recommend!!

Tried the 30 days for $30 last Dec as a beginner and joined with an unlimited monthly membership in January. Am still at it 3-4 times a week. I love the instructors, the convenience of times and styles, and especially my growth. This has been a great investment in me!

An incredible yoga studio! So many options for classesβ€”beginner, advanced, and everything in betweenβ€”and a great community. I'm especially thankful for the virtual class option, which gives me a lot of flexibility (especially during the work day.) Highly recommend!!

Zen is correct. I went to try out a class this morning with a friend. Neither of us had practiced in a few months so we were a little timid about going to an in person class. We went to Andy’s Saturday 10am and found it very accessible. He makes it easy for you to adjust to your body but also gives suggestions to challenge yourself if your body is ready for that. I thought Andy’s flow was great and his instruction make it easy to follow without watching his every move.
It also smells a bit like Jasmine in the studio and the music is peaceful.

This studio has real dedication to the community and not just to people with money in gentrified areas. All are welcome, all are encouraged to be themselves.
Thank you for you commitment to mental health and being a community connectivity champion.
Incredible. 🧑

There are individuals with fake accounts leaving fake reviews on this page, shame on them. They have never attended the studio and they don't have pictures on their profiles for a reason. They all have exactly 5 likes on their comments.

I experienced their class when they went outside to contribute a free class to the community.
Their commitment to come outside on a hot summer weekend and donate a class to the community was incredible.
I saw so many happy people practicing together.
I know how valuable time is and especially for small business owners and most especially for healers and educators that are giving of their personal time at every point.
Their contribution was so meaningful ~

i love Zen yoga!! i've tried a few different yoga studios around the columbus area, but never quite settled anywhere due to either established classes that made me feel like I was joining too late in the game or environments that just didn't mesh with what I was looking for. at zen, i felt welcome immediately regardless of my level of skill (which is to say none LOL) and knew I had found my yoga home! definitely check this place out.

There are companies and studios who claim to support the community, and then there’s Zen Yoga Studio. Not only is Zen Yoga an exemplary, broadly-trained, holistic and comprehensive yoga practice, but they’re also the strongest and most expansive community activists. It doesn’t stop at asana practice at Zen Yoga; they do the important work to take action toward diversity, equity, and inclusion on a daily basis. I highly encourage communication with the studio owner in regards to community needs and watch how swiftly any barriers will be dismantled and replaced with support, activism, and accessibility. If I could give Zen Yoga Studio 10 stars, I would.
