My experience with Zac, Shannon and Anthroproach on the whole has been nothing but positive! I've had a nagging shoulder injury that I have not been able to resolve for years - but the curriculum at Anthroproach seems to scratch an itch that traditional PT and DIY recovery methods can't. I'm not back to 100% yet, but I can actually feel the positive impact from training with this team. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Zac worked absolute magic on my left hip. Within one session I could move into deeper positions more comfortably than I have in years. His understanding of how joints and movement patterns actually work is next level.
Shannon’s Vinyasa Flow with the Mace has been a game changer as well. I can stand in the exact same spot on the mat, flop sweating the whole time, and still feel incredible afterward. My shoulders and hips are finally moving the way they’re supposed to.
Joint health has become much more important to me than chasing cardio numbers or lifting super heavy, and Zac and Shannon are a big reason why. Tulsa is lucky to have them.

I LOVE Anthroproach! Both the instructors and the fellow clients come motivated to be their best selves. I love the small group classes, but also love the larger community events like the InPlay workshops and Community Carry hiking at Turkey Mountain. Just as the name says, if you're looking for functional mobility and strength training catered to your abilities, this is the place for you. I always leave better than I came, mentally and physically. Grateful for this place and these folks <3

Absolutely the best! I injured my spine in May. I’m also an athlete. And I don’t want surgeons poking me. My sister recommended Zac. Not only am I in zero pain, but my fitness and form are drastically different and improved. As I continue to work with him, I learn something new each time. He takes this seriously and tailors his private sessions to each person. He’s also an incredible human being - super fun and a delight to be around. I would recommend him to anyone!

I have done several one on one sessions with Zac and I have to say, HE IS THE BEST!! I saw him first a few years back when I was working 40+ hours on my feet and dealing with sciatic pain, then fast forward to now during my (current) postpartum phase two kids later. Not only has he given me the tools to improve my physical state, he also teaches you how to be mindful about your movements and breath work. Which was KEY to what I was missing and my workouts actually being beneficial. Because of Zac I now have my excitement back about starting my fitness journey again. I couldn’t recommend Anthroproach enough!

10/10 !!!
Working with Zac has been a game-changer for me. I came in with persistent neck and shoulder pain, and through his expert guidance, not only did the pain go away, but I also built real strength in those areas. What really stood out was how he taught me to breathe properly—something so simple, but it completely changed how I lift and helped me do it more safely and effectively.
Zac’s approach is incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and tailored to your individual needs. I felt supported, challenged, and genuinely cared for every step of the way. I can’t recommend him enough if you’re looking to move better, feel stronger, and stay pain-free.

I absolutely love working with Zac. He is incredibly patient and caring. He is so intentional in his work and how he executes a care plan to best support your needs. He makes you feel so comfortable and cultivates an environment that is positive, supportive, and judgement free. He will always meet you where you’re at and accommodate your needs. At the same time, he is immensely encouraging and will point out your strengths and capabilities. He genuinely wants the best for each person that walks through the door. He provides quality care and training to promote your well-being, mobility, and overall longevity. I will always recommend Zac!

I went here because I experience back pain. I have seen multiple physical therapists, but it didn’t really help. Zac’s programming has helped me so much. I can deadlift again without fear. I highly recommend!

Absolutely incredible work, tailored to my needs. I had bilateral knee replacements scheduled and knew I needed to build some strength and improve mobility prior to surgery. With my knees already problematic, a regular trainer was not what I needed. I chose Zac to help me get ready and it was exactly what I needed. I used the package where I met with him about once a week, we worked through some movements I could tolerate while setting me up for success post op. For each surgery I've been able to implement some of these exercises to shorten my recovery time. My first knee I was able to walk without assistive devices at 14 days. I kept up the exercises while doing formal PT and my ROM and strength is far better at 3 months than before surgery. I've just had my second knee replaced and day 4 I started working on my stability using Zac's notes. I feel so strong already. If you're about to have major orthopedic surgery, creating a solid foundation will set you up for success after and I definitely achieved that with Zac. If you are able, don't delay on getting in and getting started.

Prepare yourself for the epic tale of my pain and injury escapades – a gripping saga that unfolded over decades, leaving me with more injuries than a stunt double. From torn shoulders to a fractured femur, my body had pretty much been through it all. But then, I met Zac, the Functional Movement Specialist, who became the hero of my injury-ridden story.
Zac didn’t just listen to my list of injuries – he studied it like it was the plot of the most complicated thriller ever written. And trust me, it was. My body had been a playground for pain, with a pain scale that hovered between a solid 6 to 9 on most days. My goal? To bring that pain down to a manageable 2/1 and, ultimately, to jump out of planes again without breaking anything new.
Zac took on my case with the enthusiasm of someone who actually enjoys solving puzzles. He crafted a plan that didn’t just focus on the here and now but took into account every injury and the impact it had on the rest of my body. His approach was meticulous, creative, and, most importantly, it worked.
Over the course of our sessions and months of putting in the recommended weird movements, I watched my pain level drop from a constant companion to a mere acquaintance. Zac guided me through exercises that not only reduced my pain but also gave me back the confidence I thought I'd lost forever. He was patient, understanding, and never once let me off the hook (even when I tap out due to weak, lazy and unused muscles).
And now? My pain level hovers around a 2/1, just as we aimed for. I’ll be back to snowboarding this winter in better shape and have even taken up Latin dancing – because why not add some flair to this comeback story? Skydiving is slowly rising back on the horizon, and for that, I owe Zac a huge thanks.
If you're looking for someone who can handle the most complicated injury story with humor, expertise, and results, Zac is your guy. He didn’t just improve my life; he gave me a second chance at the adventures I love.
Thank you, Zac, for being the plot twist my body needed. Here's to pain-free living and many more jumps out of perfectly good airplanes- soonish. . . .

I love working with Zac. He is knowledgeable, kind, and encouraging. I’ve learned so much from working with him over the years. Many of the stretches and movements he’s taught me have eased pain in my body that I thought would never go away. I return those movements them over and over. Zac is also constantly reading and researching. I know his clients benefit from his enthusiasm for learning.

Zac is incredible to say the least. I was in an awful place when I met him. I was severely depressed and could hardly move my back, walk, or stand. Even sitting was a problem. I was considering ablation surgery at the suggestion of my doctors, but a friend recommended working with Zac and I really didn’t want any kind of back surgery at a young age. So, I went and was amazed even after the first session! I was able to stand upright and walk! After a little over a year working on movement with Zac, I am able to walk, stand, lift weights, and exercise AND do it well. I am beyond pleased with the dedication of not only myself but especially my superb movement coach. You NEED to see Zac! He helped change my life.

I have been working with Zach for a couple years now and would highly recommend him to anyone. Whether you are at peak physical fitness or haven't broken a sweat in years, he will find ways to improve your movement, strength, and flexibility; challenge you both mentally and physically; and help you improve areas of your body where you are experiencing pain. He will work with you in-person or virtually, and I have benefited greatly from training with him in both settings. I can't recommend him enough!!

I have been training with Zac for several years, both in-person and virtually, and suggest his services to anyone looking for improved strength, mobility, and mindfulness. My husband and I train with Zac virtually only now and have never felt like the experience is inferior to in-person. He is able to effortlessly adjust to our specific needs in a given week and doesn’t mind when a toddler dressed as Spider-Man pops up on the camera. Highly recommend!

Before I met Zac, I could barely walk ten minutes without pain, I had shoulder and knee pain, and numbness in my thigh. With Zac's help, I'm now able to walk for hours with minimal difficulty, my knee and shoulder pain is gone and I've regained feeling in my thigh. I've also lost fifty pounds. Zac is highly knowledgeable, approachable, and kind. I recommend him to anyone struggling with mobility.

As a healthcare professional, I really appreciate Zac's approach to staying up to date and growing his knowledge. After working with him you know you are in good hands! I've had some lower back pain/stiffness for close to a year. I've tried alot of excersizes and stretching/yoga on my own without any real change, but after only 2 sessions with him I started seeing results! Thanks Zac 💪

After training with Zac for almost a year now, my back pain is no longer an issue. I was having debilitating pain & considered leaving my career due to it. He found & targeted areas that a physical therapist didn’t find or help me with. I have my life back & can’t imagine how much pain I’d still be living with if I hadn’t started working out with him.
