I know this place very well! Use to know the three prior managers, the big management is terrible, and is a huge contract gimmick! My contract expired and i am a 100 percent disabled vet, who had 2 acl surgeries and had a doctors note stating i cannot work out due to the surgeries, the big management refused to cancel EVEN after my contract had ended. I’m now in collections with a bill of over 200 due to them not cancelling my membership even after the contract was over. I gave them documents and they do shady business! They charge you an annual club fee and they don’t do crap with it! The bathrooms smell like pee most of the time and if I’m being transparent there use to be a guy who would “release” himself on the walls of the men’s bathroom! BY ALL MEANS IF YOU LIKE YOUR CREDIT AND DO NOT WANT TO PAY 40-50 bucks for a membership with mediocre equipment and terrible staff, PLEASE go to ymca or elite fitness, sincerely a pissed off vet. Please do give me a call!

This gym is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Open 24/7 so it’s never too busy, you just feel comfortable and Erin is PHENOMENAL at making you feel like you belong! She is so kind and helpful along my journey! Day 17 of consistency 💪🏼 and I don’t think I could do it anywhere else!

I can’t say enough things about my trainer, Erin! She has been a great, reliable, and friendly resource for me and my nutrition and exercise journey. I have a busy work schedule and she is very accommodating, and extremely adaptive and supportive for me. I can really tell she cares about me as a person and not just cranking me through the process. I joined this gym with high expectations, but my experience has been disappointing. The manager is consistently unresponsive, rarely answers phone calls, and relies heavily on frequent text messages for communication, which comes across as unprofessional. While I understand the importance of maintaining rules, the enforcement here feels unnecessarily strict and lacks flexibility or understanding for members. This approach creates an unwelcoming environment that overshadows the gym’s potential. The previous two managers managed the gym far better, with attentiveness, professionalism, and a genuine focus on members. Unfortunately, under the current management, I cannot recommend this facility.

Anytime Fitness is the best workout place. I love how big it is. The equipment isn't super close; it gives you room to workout.I love how clean the bathrooms and cabinets are to put your things in. They are clean and well-stocked with towels. The best part is the employee. She is the sweetest. I love how she welcomes people in/out and she did such an amazing job at touring us around.

Four of five stars because if it were any better it would be my personal home gym.
Started a focus of fitness that will be critical part to maintain and I would gladly attend and recommend this gym 10 out of 10!

Quaint size and excellent equipment. Erin works hard to keep facilities A-1. She is a real good coach and fitness partner she will get you on track and help you with your goals.
If you don't know the equipment she will help you with form and exercise execution.

If you are in for a membership or rolling through town and need to hit the weights they offer day passes. Come on through and get fit!

Ever since Erin became manager, cleanliness, having towels available, & putting up notices for members to wipe down equipment after use has not been an issue ANYMORE! Thank you, GREATLY APPRECIATED!! I travel for work and will try to find a hotel with an adequate gym, but quite often you can’t find one. So I stopped in here at Anytime Fitness to check it out to see if it was a better option than Planet Fitness. I was pleased to find that they had dumbbells up to 110 lbs and some squat racks and cages with enough weight plates that you could throw on 330 lbs for barbell shrugs and 450 lbs for squats. The manager was pleasant and was engaged with clients looking for tips to work out. They also have a sauna which is always nice to hit after a hard workout!

We have been going to this gym for almost two months with our child in tow some days and today it was suddenly a problem. This is the same manager who signed us up for the gym and said that it was okay that our children came to get us to sign up!

After going for several months we were forced to cancel our membership. The general manager has been telling people, children are fine unless they are being disruptive and interrupting someone else. They were completely alone tonight and no one else was in the multipurpose room playing and were told tonight they were not allowed to be in there. When the manager was asked why he told people it was ok to have their children in there he quickly followed up with “sorry I don’t remember telling you that”. I’m sorry I don’t remember does not excuse this. They had no problem taking my money and charging my card for an early cancelation though.

I switched here last summer from the ymca. I have been to all the gyms in town and prefer the environment here the most. The staff is very helpful and friendly and you will find a lot of the members are as well. The place is very clean and professional. All the equipment is top notch and the layout is very functional. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to get in shape or just wants a change to sign up here.

Haven’t been to the gym in over a year, ever since John sold it. apparently they was still charging me though. I shut the card down earlier in the year. Wasn’t too concerned because I hadn’t been and gyms are closed anyways because of covid. Apparently they’re trying to sue me now for $197. When I got my membership I was under the 18 month contract. They continued to charge me after that ended so I called them and they said that my contract didn't end for another 6 months.. Already being overpriced at $50 a month, I had to pay the $99 fee to end my membership that I was told was only 18 months. I also don't live in Shawnee anymore and they still made me pay the fee.

We loved working out here. This gym was the CLEANEST gym we have ever been to. You can tell the lady who owns this gym really cares about this place. Showers were so nice and clean as well. The gym is smaller but still has PLENTY of machines and its laid out very well.

Pathetic Customer relations!
Work out 6-7days a week and join gyms on yearly memberships I was saddened by relocating to the area and contacted this location for the 7-day trial membership on the 31st during scheduled ‘staffed’ hours. Waited until the 3rd; with zero reply; and drove to the location to discover ‘No!!! one on staff’. Totally wasted a 20 minute drive to this location. Interestingly, Anytime Fitness Corporation prides themselves in customer relations and this franchise obvioulsly has enough clientel that it feels it does not need to continue marketing its product to the local patrons. Very unprofessional tactics of ignoring their website posted ‘ways to contact’ and never returning emails or phone calls. This red flag is probably an indicator of the depiction of how they care for the cleanliness and upkeep of the gym itself obviously.
Such a pathetic way to manage and run an athletic club. Especially right after New Years ; which is the #1 increase in gym and health activity organization joining times anually!!
