(Response to message below: you are free to contact me yourself. Brad has my number in the system. I already exhausted myself attempting to talk to lower and upper management. Iβm now finished reaching out myself directly to Ascension for a resolution. That would be up to you. If I get a polite call from you, Iβll let readers know you did reach out. Otherwise if not, readers will know you did not call me by the fact of me not giving that update) (UPDATE: after several emails, Brad the manager refused to call or meet with me. Instead he had the Director of Risk Management write me a letter doubling down on their illegal policy. Will go ahead with a lawsuit and share results here). Experienced a very harassing incident last summer as a new member by Ritu, middle aged woman at front desk. She refused to apologize. Reported her to Brad the manager. No idea what the outcome was. But she continued to retaliate for the next nine months at front desk being consistently rude. Reported her again to Brad who compensated me for several months of fees in writing due to her continued bad behavior. Weeks later suddenly told for first time in almost a year I must leave therapy pool if not participating in the aqua class despite there being plenty of room in a corner, and many times (10 or more) this was allowed me standing in a corner. . Told management (Gary, then Brad) Iβm in severe pain using the warm pool for physical therapy, directed before by my Ascension PT, for pain management, as an Ascension patient , reiterated asking to use a small corner away from the class where I can just wade in a small space for my pain. Gary talked to me in a harassing, discriminatory way, all documented: a) told me twice rudely βI know who you are,β b) said three times adamant that their policy forbids me to use the pool during a class even in that way refusing to accommodate my need, c) suddenly wanted to know intrusively where I worked without a rational reason for asking, d) insisted to know who my PT was, intrusively, which I then told him, e) and told me if I get back in the pool (to treat my pain) he would call security, f) told me Iβve never done my private therapy in the pool during the class, this right after I told him I had in the past (again 10+ times). His tone was aggressive and condescending. When I explained I canβt work and am disabled, he said nothing except more arguing. Iβve filed yet another complaint with Brad but expect more of the same. Expect to cancel my membership and consult a disability attorney. According to the Americans with Disabilities Act, that policy and how I was treated is discrimination and illegal. There must always be equal access and accommodations for disability, which they are able to do with the pool size and layout. Ascension, Brad, Gary, and Ritu open themselves up to liability. That was their decision. Now I canβt reasonably return after all this or get this critical form of therapy. Shame on these people. If you like snobby, pretentious people and treatment, by certain staff, join this gym. If however you want to be treated like a human being by down to earth people, especially if you are struggling in any way or seriously ill trying to get better, do not join this gym.

Saint Johns is a marvelous facility with marvelous people. It was when I was 17 when I first embarked my fitness journey at Saint Johns Health Club. In particular, the steam room helps smooth me out and relax me. I really enjoy the company of the employees, especially that cute blonde at the front desk ;).

I love their classes--friendly and professional instructors. Some class participants, though, are pretty opinionated about what you do... Love looking out in treetops--gym is on 2d floor. Also love the electric fans in the classrooms.

Great health club! Aside from amenities mentioned, Mary, the Zumba instructor is wonderful. She demonstrates steps clearly, is easy to follow, will show you alternative steps to ratchet your workout up or down and always very helpful with questions before or after class.
Especially in this time of lockdown, but I really miss my Zumba class with her when I can't attend.

I was visiting my family from out of state and had been working on a fit regime. After riding on the plane my left leg was giving me some problems and I needed to use the warm pool to walk to stiffness out of it. I tried the Y but their pool was closed for the day. I called this club and they took excellent care of me for the 3 days I used their facilities. I would recommend them to any one would needs help fit and the staff was great!

This place is a no-nonsense health club. They tell you exactly what you'll get and never try to BS you about anything (unlike some gyms in town... I'm looking at you Planet Fitness). The facilities are always in good shape and the staff are very friendly. The signing fee was a bit expensive ($100/person for me) and the monthly cost is slightly higher than some of the chain gyms, but its so worth it. I can't recommend this place enough.

I love this gym. The front desk staff are so welcoming, and the floor staff are incredibly nice. The machines aren't the newest, but they're functional and well-kept. The facilities are great and include just about everything you could want in a gym- indoor track, punching bags, free weights, weight machine, medicine balls, stability balls, cardio equipt., lap pool, warm water therapy pool, hot tub, saunas in the locker rooms, racquet ball courts, two exercise class rooms, and more. The locker rooms are some of the nicest I've ever used.
For your membership you get access to all of the facilities and fitness classes. There are no hidden costs. The group fitness classes are great- Monday Barre with Amy is brutal in the best way possible.
On a personal front, I've never once felt out of place here. The environment is really positive and encouraging. It's a mixed gender gym, and I have felt creeped out 0 times. Everyone is respectful. It's just a nice place to be, and has everything you need to get fit.

I have been a member since May, 2014. I have a trainer that I work with and this club has all kinds of machines to use. When I see a post about the machines being broken---I have never seen a machine that says out of order or broken. Since I work with a trainer he asks me what I want to work on today. If you want strength training, just tell him; if you want buff-just tell him. Any one of the trainers there will show you the machines that will best suit your request. They are on the floor so you don't have to specifically ask for a trainer if you don't want to. I think it is a fabulous club.

I do not have a car - or the motivation to wait 5 hours on Tulsa Transit to find a cheaper gym anywhere. I was recommended to St. John's after thinking checking out hospitals nearby for their gyms. Yes. It is pricey. However, it is cleaner- the people are friendlier, and it is a nicer gym than most.
I do not feel like I am being judged by what I do or what I wear. I am just there to get in shape. I've lost over 43lbs. This gym is in walking distance to everything I need in this area. I could of checked out YMCA or YWCA or other gyms around the area- but after hearing the Y is 40 a month. I'd spend that much in transportation per month just to get there. So I look at it a different way than the above person.
Every place as a membership price. Some are cheaper- but your not going to get as much equipment than some places.
This is a hospital also... not Gold's Gym where it is geared toward getting buffed and tough.
It is mostly older people- business professionals that work out here. I love the place. I do not mind including the price into my budget and it takes priority over most of the things I could be doing.
If I had a car- i'd seek out a cheaper place... (maybe). I've enjoyed being there and would miss the staff if I left. The place draws me in and motivates me to walk or ride my bike that 1.5 miles so I can be healthy.
I think the person above is right- that gym is not for them. But their reasoning does not warrant a poor quality review.
