I’ve been attending Crunch Fitness in BA for a little over a year now. The gym is great, but would be better if they had SENSORY FRIENDLY HOURS. They have a tendency to blast music over the speakers to the point where I can hear it above my noise canceling headphones, which is not only obnoxious but makes it harder to lift because of the sensory overload. Overall, it’s still a nice gym and has plenty of equipment (they have lots of squat racks, cable machines, free weights, and a functional section).

Well updating my review. Every time I come here, which is about 6 days a week, something new is broken. Spray tan machine is always broken, check in is broken today, the stereo was broken for weeks. Hydromassage bed 14 barely works on the lower back. One of the reasons I joined was because of the spray tan and the classes. It is also very close to where I live and is a 24 hour gym. I really like this gym and hope they can keep up with the repairs.

I’ve been a member for over a year. I enjoy working out, plenty of equipment and options. My complaint is terrible water pressure in men’s showers. Literally cannot get soap off it’s so bad. They are also extremely slow at fixing problems. Last year one red light of two was out for months, then the other one broke right after it was fixed. Always a long wait of :30+. That’s better now.

Great staff. The facility is nice.
-However, they keep the music too loud. I can hear it through my sound cancelling headphones. No one listens to the gym music. Everyone brings their own headphones.
*Please turn down the music.
-They don't provide paper towels in the bathroom, so the sink area floor is always wet and dirty.
*Please provide paper towels.
-They keep the barbell clamps behind the counter, so you have to check them in and out. This is ridiculous and has to be a lawsuit waiting to happen.
*Buy more barbell clamps.

The gym is fine but when I went to cancel because of personal reasons.
The premium had came out 5 days earlier and they said I had to give a 30-day notice so I thought that meant I'd pay that extra 5 days. No that means you have to pay another full month and they say I have membership privileges for another 55 days.
I just wanted to cancel and be done with it. I don't know why you'd want someone coming to your gym. That's not happy with it.

I’ve only been a member here for two months, and it’s been nothing but a headache. It took SIX different people just to get me signed up because nobody had a clue what they were doing. That should have told me everything I needed to know.
Since then, they’ve been pulling random charges from my bank account like it’s a game. I’ve been charged seven times in two months when it should have only been three. When I signed up, I specifically asked for the $9.99 base plan, but Danielle went ahead and signed me up for the $26.99 plan without asking. That’s not a mistake, that’s straight-up shady.
When I called today to try to get it fixed, Ashley couldn’t have cared less. She was rude, dismissive, and acted like I was the problem. No accountability, no effort to help, just pure attitude.
I’m beyond frustrated and officially done with this gym. They clearly don’t care about their customers, their staff doesn’t know what they’re doing, and their billing is a complete mess. Don’t waste your time or your money here. Go somewhere that actually values its members.

Love the gym! Joined in May, 2025. However, the men’s locker room and in particular the sauna need extensive cleaning and disinfecting. It even looks like some mold is forming under the benches. I took pictures and referred this to the front desk but no progress.

Had a great workout with Sam during my Crunch Kickoff at the Broken Arrow location! He talked through my goals with me and setup me up with great plan for how to meet them! Definitely was feeling the burn. Sam was great at explaining the exercises and why we were doing them and how to get the most out of the exercises.

Popped in while visiting my sister, bought a month pass and it came with a training session, I ended up with Sam Bickel and it couldn’t have gone better! He helped me with exercises that will help rehab some old injuries and was exactly what I needed in a trainer, if I were to stay in the area I would definitely hit him up he has so much knowledge and gives it to you straight! 💪🏽

My husband and I had an amazing Crunch Kickoff experience with Sam. He was super nice, very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. The best personal trainer experience I've had by far. He was very thorough and talked about the psychology and mental health benefits of exercise as well as form and fitness. 10 /10 would recommend him.

The private training experience was extremely disappointing. I was switch trainers half way through my contract bc management was SO terrible that my original trainer quit. When I started with a new trainer, the training experience changed entirely in a negative way. The app is very old and difficult to use when tracking calories, and workouts, and my new trainer never took the time to check in with me outside of my sessions. Once my contract was coming to an end, I cancelled within the required 30 window, but was then forced to pay for an additional 6 weeks (extra $400). Management was ruthless and disengaged. Overall would never recommend that anyone do personal training at this gym. The gym in general has been filthy the last few times I've gone with food and drinks spilled on the floor, and no one in a hurry to clean it up. Cancelling my membership because of the poor experience.. especially when I paid MORE for a service.

I joined Crunch a couple months ago and I can’t say enough great things about it. I love the classes, equipment, tanning and hydro massage. The best part of my experience at Crunch is my trainer, Sam Bickel. He is extremely knowledgeable, detailed and has personalized my training specific to my needs, wants and restrictions from previous injuries. In addition, he has helped alleviate some previous pain in my knees and back. He is also helping me with his expertise of nutrition and workouts outside of our training. I HIGHLY recommend him. He will help you achieve your goals!

I really like Crunch Fitness Broken Arrow. The vibe is good, and the gear is always in top shape. But, I often have to ask the staff to open the spin bike room, even though the bosses say it should be open from 5 AM to 8 PM. This messes up my workouts and makes it hard to keep a routine, more so since I am healing from an injury. If they kept to this rule, I'd give this gym five stars for sure.

COMPLETELY NEW to the gym scene, I was extremely intimidated to come in on my own. I got a text from a personal trainer named Sam who was reaching out to help get me my free 1hr personal evaluation.
I had injured my back, was diagnosed with sciatica and told to rest by a chiropractor. I did so for 2 1/2 months with no relief.
So, I told Sam I would really like to get into a routine but I’ve got a bad back and am nervous to make it worse.
I am roughly a month and a half in, as I’m only 27 and was not able to even complete the full free hour. It was a wake up call by the right person. He was able to figure something out that I could do financially and would benefit me most.
I see changes daily, things that used to make me uncomfortable no longer phase me, I feel mentally and emotionally stronger on top of physically, and we’ve barely touched weights, my back is usually wound up pretty badly before I go in, and I leave feeling like I never knew what back pain was.
Sam has completely changed my outlook on going to the gym, taking care of my body, and all within an obtainable goal he sets.

I’m only given them a one star because of the lack of customer service that I’ve received in the last probably nine months signed up for personal trainer last year it ended in November 2024. knew what I was getting into on the contract and how much it was per month. I canceled it last November. here we are in August and I was charged $960 for something that I canceled last year and can’t get anyone to call me back. Beware do not sign up for personal training here. It is auto renew and they do not tell you that it’s in the fine print. But still I cancelled this last year should not of renewed!!

Was a customer with crunch for a year and then I moved and I talked my husband into getting a membership with crunch. I planned on getting on a plan together but we work opposite hrs so it’s hard to get in together. So I signed up for the 3 day trial till we could get in together to add me to his account. They won’t let me use it since I was already a member for a year. (They only knew because I was honest. My last name and everything is different)At this point I’m not joining this gym again!

Do NOT go to this gym!! They will hit you with hidden fees and then hide behind illegal policies in “small” print on supposed contracts. My son paid for a $15 monthly subscription to just go to the gym for the summer with his friend. 1 or 2 months top. After one month they charged him a $76.96 yearly fee. We called and the staff person refused to refund the fee. My son is very upset. Feels terrible after being robbed of his hard working money. Neither my son nor anyone else from our family will ever step another foot in a Crunch gym. The management is terrible! Find an honest gym.
Update: I've included the email response from Corporate for all to see.

I enjoy coming to this gym. The community atmosphere is very welcoming, and I appreciate seeing other members encouraging each other. However, there are definitely areas that need improvement. The gym is unorganized, and the plates are often misplaced. In the mornings, the men’s sauna is extremely filthy, and it seems like no one takes the time to clean underneath the benches. The men’s locker room also needs more frequent cleaning. Overall, the gym is great, but there are definitely areas that need improvement. UPDATE: I’ve been to the gym consistently for a month now, and unfortunately, the men’s sauna still appears to be in a state of disrepair.

Crazy lady was going off on Brooklyn the night shift front desk employee, your typical Karen at any location, she got behind the front counter while Brooklyn was trying to help her and giving Brooklyn a lot of attitude, I myself wouldn’t been so calm like Brooklyn but she was calm and collective and handled the situation very well I would have yall investigate that lady and terminate her membership because no one should be allowed in a place and act like that towards any employee all the people around the situation were on Brooklyn side felt bad for Brooklyn she definitely needs a raise or something for dealing with situations like that at night. Overall my experience at the gym since the beginning of the year has been pretty solid.

Did a trial day and would have walked out almost immediately if I wasn't with a friend who is a member. Signing the waiver there is a question if you came with or were referred by a member, and there is a spot to put that members name. I clicked yes, and the girl at the counter reached over and changed my answer to no and said, "That's not how they do it here." I changed it back to yes and said, "Why is the question there if that's not how it's done?" She changed my answer again and said, "That's not how we do it here." I said fine I will just leave if I can't answer the questions honestly and start to leave." I decided to ask for the manager and he asked what the problem was and I said I just want to answer the questions honestly and she won't let me so the manager took the computer and put everything in correctly so i stayed for the trial. The counter lady lied to her manager when trying to explain what she was doing and said my friend has the basic membership level, he has the highest membership level. I have Crohn's disease and use the bathroom before I do anything so I went to use the restroom sat down and went and it was out of toilet paper, I had to call my friend to bring me toilet paper. When I went to wash my hands the first sink I got to the soap dispenser was empty. There is a second soap dispensers so I was able to get soap. Just a really terrible way to start a trial day. The gym was clean and there were plenty of open machines to use and I got a good workout in but really was really put off by the counter lady and the bathroom issue. I definitely would never sign up with her! My friend asked me to come try again another day and see if it's a better experience.

DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THESE PEOPLE. They will not let me cancel my account... I could sign up online, but they won't let me cancel online or over the phone. Now that I've tried to cancel, they will not let me change my home gym. I'm two hours from this location. I was only using this location due to me working in town.
It is impossible to get ahold of the company online, and their headquarters number literally just says sorry but can't reach us here.
Their excuse is they need a signature, but you have been able to sign documents online for free with Adobe for over a decade. Never have I heard of a business that won't let you cancel a membership over the phone, through their app, or online. This is clearly a manipulation tactic to make it harder to cancel your account so they can continue to collect your membership fees.
Sad part is I actually kinda like this gym, but after this experience, I'll never be back.

Going here for a year now 5 days a week and I can tell you they don't maintain their cable machines properly. According to the nautilus maintenance in manual. The guild rods should be lubricated monthly for less restrictions and glide. I can tell you they don't. So durning the pull you can feel it stick and not smooth.

I joined a few years ago and was so happy to be able to come to this location but sometimes I regret the decision to switch from where I was. This location has more problems than not! The workers are lazy. They never clean the R&R after use and when you check in for that you have to wait even when they aren’t busy and are just standing around talking. It doesn’t matter the day or time. Let’s not talk about the spray tanning machine that NEVER works! It’s annoying. You plan your workout out and your tanning session just to get the location and find out it doesn’t work! I call before hand and have never had someone answer the phone. I even went at midnight one night. Stood at the front desk for 30 minutes calling the location and watching the phone ring and could not find the worker at all nor anyone answer the phone. It’s sad. They advertise full service 24/7 but that’s a lie. Seriously thinking of going elsewhere. And I’ve sent LOTS of members here! DO BETTER! Customer service sucks. The workers are rude. One told me she couldn’t call the other location to see if there R&R was working while I worked out, since once again the BA locations was down, because she didn’t have the number.

The gym and stuff wasn’t terrible what was was the customer service. I got this membership almost a year ago and had no issue. Untill… I tried to cancel it I got a job about an hour away and clearly that means I need a new gym since crunch isn’t out there. I never had time to cancel so I tried doing it online. It said someone would reach out, and they did but when I tried calling back “Danielle” never responded. Almost two weeks went by and I called again. The guy was not helpful at all and said I would have to drive in to cancel. Great so now I have to find 2 hours of time to go in and cancel this membership. So after paying for almost another month I found time. Just to find out you can only cancel when a manager is there. So THEY WOUDLNT LET ME CANCEL AGAIN. This is the third time now I’ve tried to cancel and been denied. And I’ve paid for almost 2 months of membership I haven’t used. Oh and keep in mind when I cancel they will make me pay for another month because that’s how they do it.. they only redeeming factor was the young guy who helped me at the front desk the third time. He was very apologetic that he couldn’t help. If only they were all that way.

I’m giving one extra star than I wanted to because of the variety of equipment and *usually* relatively clean environment. The reason for the negative review is on the “Kids Crunch”. They always have One or Two TEENS in there with about 6-12 kids and they obviously are uncomfortable with/lack understanding/patience dealing with children. As expected, as they are still children themselves. Multiple times now I have witnessed the teen babysitters arguing back and forth with toddlers to “go play” , when they should really just try to play with them and get them involved in passing a ball or literally anything. Just to solidify the claim of them not knowing what they’re doing at all, I witnessed one girl asking a ~1 year old “excuse me did you use the restroom in your pants?” 🤨🤣 like a BABY is really going to respond to that 😂
Anyway, I went in today around noon (knowing they close at 1), for what was going to be a 10 minute run, but was met with attitude despite their being about 5 other kids in there at this time (that would likely be in there longer than my child). I tried to play with my child and give him a toy in the little “baby play area” they have and there was a few kids standing around looking in, (maybe 2 year olds) just watching my son. My son wasn’t having being in there alone so I asked if one of the little ones can come inside and play with my son. She said “well I don’t usually let kids play in there at this time because I have to clean all that stuff that I already cleaned it and put it up”….okay… I understand that she’s trying to get a head start on her cleaning, but why couldn’t she just put the toys that she’s already cleaned in a tote or in the cubbies OUTSIDE of the kids area. OR, Crunch should accommodate time in their schedules to clean the toys after the kids leave??? You’re going to tell me that these kids aren’t allowed to play with any toys the whole last hour and you also aren’t going to play with them at all??? Like WHAT… I didn’t come here to leave my child with no toys locked up just in jail, and I’m sure other people didn’t intend that for their poor babies either….😠 I just left. Baffled.

I’ve been a member of Crunch Fitness for a while, and while I appreciate its affordability and diverse equipment selection, certain aspects could use improvement. The bathrooms often lack consistent maintenance, resulting in cleanliness issues that detract from the overall experience. Additionally, the group fitness room can become uncomfortably hot due to ineffective temperature control and fans not functioning optimally, making it challenging to exercise comfortably. I’ve raised these concerns with the front desk, but frequent staff turnover seems to prevent meaningful resolution. Addressing temperature regulation and improving hygiene standards would greatly enhance the gym environment, benefiting all members.

Update: My original review holds true as nothing has changes nor have I seen any improvements. If anything, things have gotten worse. Weights are scattered randomly. Some equipment doesn’t even have 5,10, etc. plates. The sauna is dirty, the bathroom sinks have water everywhere. It seems there isn’t much done to maintain the gym besides the occasional basic cleaning. I really like crunch but seeing it in this state makes me disappointed. Please improve.
Original: The gym itself is great. Lots of equipment, plenty of weights, plenty of squat racks, etc. I rarely have to wait for something to become available. The amenities are good too. Hydromassage is great. The sauna is good too. Other than being a little dirty at times. My main gripe with this location is the people. People don’t rerack weights and there is often weights on the ground or still on barbells, equipment, etc. I used to go to planet fitness and crunch is leagues better than PF. But the people there would always rerack their weights and were much more courteous. If the crunch members would get it together, this gym would be a 5/5.

I have had 2 accidents at this gym. My 2nd accident was on 8/15/24. I’m very thankful for the staff who helped me this day. However, Crunch used their AED machine on me. Fast forward to January 2025. My cardiologist team has requested those results from the AED machine to Crunch, never got results back. 8 weeks later, the general manager said all requests from medical have to submit a written request to their Austin, TX location. Now Crunch is saying they’re waiting for my medical team to sign an authorization form. Just absolutely ridiculous months and months later we are still fighting to get those AED results. My cardiologist team was needing those to evaluate my heart condition. I’m so glad my husband went to cancel both of our gym memberships. Very disappointed with the lack of customer service and communication. South BA, please stick with 10Gym and don’t waste your time at this establishment.

You're better off saving yourself the time and money. BA has some great places to walk around. Natural work out is better. Working out is 70% mental and 30% physical. I found myself working out at the park and at home more than coming to the gym. Either way you just have to make a way.
The one star is for the lack of customer service. Closing out my account was a hostage situation, the staff had me waiting around for over an hour for a manager. Keep on asking until I had the brilliant idea to simply ask for a rep to call the manager. Over another hour later now I'm just waiting for the sales rep to give the tour and hopefully she can close out my account.
Lesson learned.

I love most of the workers and it's usually clean but the app is a joke. Ive had to just leave several times because it won't say it's busy then I show up and there's no where to park so don't even bother trying to go in. There should be a limit on how many are in there or the app to at least not lie about how busy it is. I like to go every day and I usually end up going twice a day to be able to use what I need to and often not even able to do that. It was great when it first opened now it's way too crowded all the time.

Gym is great but the daycare center is bad where I would have to give this gym location 1 star. The “sitter” doesn’t really do much with the kiddos. Just hangs around and watch them. The one on 91st interacts and caters more to all the kids there. & it’s super weird to have a waiting list when there was only 5-7 kid max. That’s super inconvenient for parents who just needs to go to the gym that pays extra monthly for daycare but have to work around their schedule and rules. The one on 91st location is way better. I went in at 10 on a Saturday and daycare was open @8 especially when they close early at 1pm. I had to travel all the way to the location wasting more time and gas just to use what I pay for lol.

Can confirm the training is a predatory scam...
Joined two weeks ago, was talked into the free one hour consult with the trainers, who sweet talked and glossed over the fine print to get me to commit to one month (4 training sessions total). They made no mention of their cancellation policy, which is this:
1. You sign a commitment for one month of training (thinking as a reasonable person that at the end of the month you can decide to continue or not).
2. Their cancellation policy is 30-days in advance, and if that 30 days falls after the first of the next month, you will be charged ANOTHER ENTIRE MONTH of training ($60-75 per session!).
So, to truly get only one month of training, you have to sign BOTH the initial agreement AND the cancellation form on the same day.
The fine print does say that if you cancel before your commitment is up, you will have to pay for the remaining sessions at 50%. They tried to get me to pay 100%, which I refused.
This is ridiculous, shady, and extremely unethical. The gym itself is nice with plenty of machines, but STAY AWAY FROM THE TRAINING!!!!

My wife got a membership here. She had a meeting with one of the personal trainers here and he told her the cost and everything. She was going to sign up but we did not have the money at the time and he got her to sign the paperwork but told her not everything will be signed and said there would be a note on her account that said she was thinking about it and put a hold on her paperwork. The manager of the location pushed the paperwork through and we have been charged 300 dollars and she hasn't scheduled or talked to the PT since the free consultation. They refuse to give us a refund.

I recently joined this gym, and I’m so impressed with everything about it! The facility is incredibly clean, which is so important to me, and the equipment is well-maintained and organized.
The staff truly makes this place stand out—they are welcoming, helpful, and always available to answer any questions or offer guidance. It’s clear they care about creating a positive and supportive environment for everyone.
Overall, it’s a fantastic place to work out, and I’m really happy I chose this gym. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and professional fitness center!

Absolutely a joke
I spend 35$ for the highest plan, all the machine's are constantly full unless it's past midnight..
And they STILL expect you to spend $10 for a body scan when my mom and pop small gym does them for free.
This place is absolutely about nothing but money. They don't give a crap about you or your goals.
Find a smaller gym, with people who know your name and actually CARE about helping you meet your goals.
A freaking joke at best

edit: sucks at time management on equipment like red light therapy, waited 30 mins when he told me 6 mins, people that came after me using it before me. I’ve been coming to this gym for a few months now almost every morning and it’s been great!
I’m always greeted by the Ashley that works in the morning. She is consistently positive and upbeat and always has some amazing music playing!
My only complaint is that the music that the actually gym plays can be somewhat dull and boring to workout to. You guys should get with Ashley on whatever playlist she uses and use that instead over the gym speakers. It’s much better to workout to and I look forward to all of the new songs I get to hear there!!

It’s annoying that they blast their group class music throughout the gym. The main group class room has a door they could shut, but they don’t for some reason. If you’re trying to do cardio while a class is going the music is so loud you can’t hear your own music, and that’s with my earbuds at max volume. Guess I need to bring in a job site radio and have it blaring next to me. I do like their equipment. Cleanliness is average at best. Cheap price.

Music at the Broken Arrow location is obnoxiously loud! The music playing in the gym overpowers what’s playing on my ear buds. When the classes are in session it’s even worse. The horrible music blaring along with the trainer screaming over the loud speaker ruins workouts. Working out is suppose to be a stress reliever and these issues are nothing short of demotivating. The over weight trainer is literally screaming at people pretending to know what they’re doing. What happened to leading by example. If you have employees training members they need to be legitimately certified. A lot of the personal trainers are overweight themselves and need to practice what they preach. It’s a lifestyle and not just a job. The good news is not every Crunch Fitness operates in this fashion.

It's a good gym but the classes are super annoying if you're just trying to work out. It might be the loudest gym in town in huge part due to the classes. They're huge and load and they take over half the gym at times. I was told I couldn't use a tread mill today because it was reserved for a class and then thT tread mill still wasn't being used 20 min after. It's mainly load and annoying. Bring your headphones and turn them up lol! Staff is great though and the place is clean so I'm just being picky but if you like a quieter gym, you may look elsewhere.

Predatory gym. I was assured I could pay for my membership with a card and not my bank info. However after signing up I get multiple calls a day asking for my bank information as a second form of payment even though that was not what I was told when I was signing up.
If you’re coming here for the sauna.. it’s not hot at all. The door doesn’t properly close which means the hot air is constantly seeping out of the sauna. The woman’s bathrooms have pee all over the toilets. The music is WAY too loud in the locker rooms. The showers are dirty and the locker rooms smell. There should be a separate locker room for families because I don’t want to be naked in the locker room with children in there. The only plus side to this gym is the amount of equipment but still isn’t worth it. I went back to my old gym the day after I signed up for crunch.

UPDATE: crunch fitness is extremely predatory. Super friendly staff. The gym is just like anything else when it gets busy particularly earlier in the week. It’s hard to get a good workout in, but there are just things you can’t control. Besides that the gym seems to be kept in an orderly manner. I think the only thing that I would make a common on is making sure that the bathrooms and sauna floor are kept clean. And the tanning rooms have been very dirty lately on the floor.
Other than that, the staff is always very pleasant to work with and accommodating to requests and questions I have. I hope they have continued success at this location!
