The gym looks decent however, the pricing policies of this place is strange. This is a privately owned gym so the owner pretty much gets to do whatever you want even though some of those ideas are not the best. The pricing is confusing strange to me he should use the typical terms of one month, three months , six months and a year like the other gyms to make it less confusing. The fact that it can be 300 something dollars for one of those deals is absolutely insane, even if it is for a term like that, that’s a lot of money. Doesn’t seem to be going to pay the staff members neither I can tell they’re not being paid a lot of money for working there. I’m a big advocate for paying people livable wage which honestly at this time at the minimum it’s 12-13 an hour.

Downtown Fitness is hands down the best gym in Norman. I’ve been going there since the beginning. Mark (the owner) and his staff keep the place spotless. The gym has a family feel to it where you get to know people. Mark keeps very modern equipment and maintains it. They also have saunas, tanning, and personal trainers available.
I’ve been to plenty of other gyms and this one has them all beat!!

CLEAN AND FRIENDLY. I’ve been to every gym in Norman and this takes FIRST PLACE. Never have I once felt like a dollar nor unwanted here. The staff and owner are EXTREMELY friendly and want to make sure you have a great gym experience. It may not be a large gym, but it has every necessary piece of equipment to workout efficiently and effectively. The saunas are hot and the tanning beds are clean and new! The gym community is great and I highly recommend this place. I would go here for the rest of my life if I didn’t have to move.

Just joined DTF after nearly a decade at another gym. I couldn’t have landed in a better spot. This place is different. It’s well maintained, has a super courteous and professional staff, awesome equipment, great vibe an an owner who cares. Love this place 💪🏻

Awesome low key gym open 24 hours. The guys that run it are awesome. Sanitizer is available all over the place to keep the equipment clean. Equipment is frequently replaced or repaired when needed rather than just left sitting there. Overall a good place to work it especially if you work evenings.

Have been a member here for ~3 years now. Equipment is always clean & in good shape. Facilities also clean & well-stocked. Staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful.
Cherry on top, tho, is that these guys are double-black-belts in towel-folding and Xmas-tree-decorating. 🍒 10/10 would recommend.

Very nice, clean and welcoming fitness center. Ben is superb, warm and engaging. This gym doesn’t fill clutter or cramped which some gyms do. The bathrooms are clean, has shower stalls, lockers, hot sauna and complimentary towels and toiletries (wipes) to wipe off with.
They have nice shirts for sell at the counter along with some variety of drinks.
If you’re thinking about starting a healthy lifestyle and gym membership, check this place out and ask for Ben.

The facility is always very clean and organized. Also, Mark Floyd is a very kind, professional and accommodating owner! I’ve run on plenty of treadmills over the years and Downtown Fitness has some of the newest and nicest I’ve ever run on.

My boyfriend and I just signed up for this gym and we really enjoy it. I previously worked out at the YMCA. Downtown fitness is a smaller gym, which for me is perfect, but if you’re into bigger spaces then maybe this wouldn’t be the gym for you. I don’t feel too overwhelmed by a bunch of equipment or people when I work out here. Also it’s 24/7 which is amazing not to mention the tanning beds are a great addition and the main reason I switched gyms to begin with. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a more personal and private gym experience. At least for now maybe after Covid slows down again it’ll get nuts.

Awesome gym. It was great to be back in there today. I got to run through the Arches National Park on their new treadmills. Very clean and there are sanitizer stations everywhere. Look them up if you are nearby or looking for a better gym experience.

Great owner-operated gym. I’ve been here for about three years now. The 24 hour access is essential for my schedule (early riser). They have a reasonable monthly fee, that in my case has been managed without a hiccup. No contracts, no pressure, no hidden charges or marketing BS. No regrets.

Good balance of free weights, racks, machines, cables. Standard cardio stations to get your sweat on. Sauna, tanning, locker rooms are well maintained. They have classes (no charge) and personal trainers available.

People’s needs may vary, but DTF is a perfect fit for me.

I was a happy member of this gym for eight months or so. It was a great experience--convenient location, the few basics that a middle-aged guy like me needed (and a lot more), and an exceptionally friendly staff. A couple of employees knew me by name, on sight, within a month of joining. My only critique is that $38 per month seems high. Sadly, I had to drop out of this and many other small luxuries as we try to fend off medical bills. Hopefully I'll get back before too long. Highly recommended!

The staff is fantastic. Super friendly and non-judgmental. I gave three stars because the gym is somewhat claustrophobic. There are too many unnecessary and redundant machines in a too-small space. The cardio room in the back is like a cave. It is very clean and the machines are rarely broken, but it gets really crowded at peak hours and that compounds the machine spacing issues. Also, very few classes offered.
