I’ve been working out here for years. I have noticed lately how some of the members just sit on the machine playing on their phone; taking up the machine. The workers don’t do anything to stop it. I noticed tonight a person doing two pull ups and sit at the machine taking it up while playing on his switch. This is ridiculous and is not right. The employees should better to stop this instead of always playing on their phones at the podium area

Earlywine is a very nice facility. The staff always greets you with a friendly hello and is very helpful to direct you if you're new. The class options are wonderful and cater to different fitness levels. I have meet some very good friends at Earlywine and am comfortable working out there. Consider Earlywine if you're looking for a new place to workout.

Marcia and I have enjoyed and benefited greatly from the services of the Y for 6 years now. We also enjoy the new social circle it has created and the good regiment it has created. The staff (now friends) are great and the facilities, equipment and grounds are excellent. Many people’s insurance pay the monthly dues. Ours doesn’t and it is still wort the money for us to invest in our wellbeing.

Update: Been a member now for more than 2 years. Great place. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The weight room equipment is in great shape and has a nice variety. Have participated in some of the free classes and it seems like there is a good variety and times for those too. Lots of other amenities that I've not yet experienced.

We love to drop grandpa off up here, he refuses to go to the healthy living center.. he says its for "old people".. but he seems to like it he sits at the front and chats with the staff, probably harasses the ladies but it keeps him busy until the afternoon when he gets bored and comes back for his nap! Thanks for babysitting him!

I’m really disappointed with the customer service at this YMCA. The front desk staff are rude and unhelpful — it’s confusing every time you go in because there’s no clear direction on where to go or what to do, and no one takes the time to help. They constantly switch things up without giving any notice, which just makes it more frustrating. The managers come off rude, and even some of the trainers have bad attitudes. Overall, the experience feels unorganized and unwelcoming.

We come here for the youth swim program, and the coaches are by far the best my kid has ever had. They teach, challenge, and use creative drills I’ve never seen before and the results are really showing. If anyone is looking for a competitive swim team, I highly recommend the Earlywine YMCA.

The lifeguard was so rude to us when we showed up for open swim with our young granddaughter., on Friday. She yelled , you can’t be in here over and over. I calmly stated yes we could it was open swim time. She kept remarking, no it is not, I said go look at the calendar or talk to staff up front as we already had. She marched over to the calendar looked at it and barked , well that is weird… she went back to teaching her water aerobics class… then huffed well they are doing swim classes over in that pool… I told her that was fine as we were only gong to be in the toddler play area… it was our first time visiting this location. Such a shock to have been met with this kind of attitude.

This is the worst YMCA in the metro to play volleyball at. Basketball goals over hang each court… by a lot! Its clear that the goals can be raised, they just don’t care enough to do it . If you are going to offer your facility for a sport, it should be adequate for playing. When we asked about it, they said they will only move them with tournaments, which doesn’t make sense if they use the court for volleyball all day, each Saturday for 2 months and it can’t take more than a couple minutes tops to actually raise and lower. The facility itself is very nice. It just goes to show that volleyball is being overlooked for other sports like basketball.

Three years ago, I started visiting Earlywine Park YMCA participating in multiple exercise classes, swimming, and spending time in the weight room. I've since lost 65 pounds, qualified the last two years for the Sprint Triathlon National Championships, and this year placed 2nd in the 70-74 age group in both the Texas and Oklahoma Sprint Triathlon Championships. Earlywine was key to my success!

The fact this gym almost has 5 stars blows my mind. Ya people must be going to a different Y. This gym has leaky ceilings, plumbing issues (no hot water in family locker room), missing or damaged weightlifting equipment, and the audacity to charge a premium price for a lack luster service. But hey…at least they got their pickleball court built. FOH

Really great place! I use their gym often and the equipment is awesome and gets upgraded regularly. The staff is great, too!
I've decided to update my original 5 star review. After a few years. I requested this site to match some of the other YMCA sites and remove so much news playing on their TVs. The response: 'we will lose our old members if we make that chance.'. I've been a member for many years myself, but apparently not long enough to matter.
My request wasn't to make a drastic change, but to match what other YMCA sites do in the Metro area: more family shows and less news cycle (10 TVs here with 6 playing news, compared to 10-12 TVs at their midtown site with 2 playing news).
The convenience of this place and my kids' activities keep me coming, but I am thoroughly disappointed.

Don’t send your five year old to this summer camp. The older kids pick on the younger kids but let the younger kids get in trouble when the counselor only sees one side of the interaction. They have given my daughter three chances to not hit but when I’m called there is no reference to what the situation is or what was actually seen? So now my daughter is suspended from the program with no explanation as to the other older kids in the interaction? I’m being led to believe that my five year old is blatantly going out of her way to hit other kids unprovoked.

This is hands down my favorite gym, and my kids love it too! It’s huge with plenty of workout equipment, basketball courts, exercise rooms for classes, and a daycare. But the highlight for us is definitely the swimming pool. The kiddie pool is a blast, and we always have so much fun there. Plus, there are lifeguards on duty at all times, making sure everyone stays safe and follows the pool rules. I also enjoy their 1.5-mile walking trail outside, and there's a great kids' playground and an outdoor pool too. The only thing I wish they had is a sauna!

Their pool is very clean and has a lot of areas to go. So it was really nice to bring our kids here. They’re not necessarily mixed with all the bigger kids. They do allow lifejackets, which is nice. We got there about an hour and a half before closing, and they made sure to work very quickly to get us in. They were really kind and helped us to find the best pricing for a day pass. For a family of four it costed us about $25 which was not very much at all. We went on Mother’s Day and overall just had a really good time. All of the staff was really kind as well when we were leaving. They do have spinners to kind of help dry off swimsuits, which was nice. I would absolutely recommend spending a day here or getting a membership.

I like to know why my post was removed? It was about a school 4 day field trip of 2nd graders learning how to swim and water safety, after the lessons each day the little girls age 7and 8 where given private dressing rooms and bathrooms with doors on the front, all the little boys age 7and 8 where put in a big room and all had to undress in front of each other, it wasn't only embarrassing to them, because they don't even have to do that in their own home without any privacy but some of the little boys made fun of the way other boys looked naked, also the boys bathroom had no front doors for privacy, I wonder who even gets hired to watch a bunch of little naked boys? I didn't get a response on here last time because my post was removed but if it gets removed again I can always post it on social media to see what the response will be

My son’s game was scheduled for 8 AM on Saturday. I showed up at 7:55.
I was quickly informed they didn’t open until 8 and was confused how I was even able to get inside. They acted like letting me stay inside was the exception of the year. I would have rather left because I had to sit there with my boy and listen to all of them complain about being at work and how people don’t know the rules.
Those in the parking lot started coming in and they were so bothered by the crowd. Didn’t care it was cold or 7:58.
Unprofessional, sad, and grumpy women with nothing better to do than keep the door closed 5 more minutes.
If you don’t want people at the door before 8, don’t schedule the damn game AT 8. If anything I was late for warmups by only getting there at 7:55.

This YMCA used to be a good and safe location for youth, it seems they are now focused on a different demographic. The “basketball” courts were FULL of kids playing basketball from the time they opened at 1pm until 3pm. At EXACTLY 3pm they kick all the kids off the BASKETBALL COURTS so that ONE middle aged man could get set up to play PICKLE BALL. This is disheartening for many reasons, but does anyone know where youth in south OKC can go to play basketball indoors? BECAUSE CLEARLY THEY CANNOT GO TO THE EARLYWINE YMCA BASKETBALL COURTS. SAD.

I really hate to leave a bad review, but I've only been a member a few months and I'm beyond frustrated.
First of all, they've disappointed my kids numerous times by cancelling things at the last minute. I understand when storms cause unsafe conditions, but there's no reason to wait until we are literally walking into the pool at lesson time to tell us that our lesson is cancelled, especially when it has been storming all day. A simple email would save us a lot of wasted time. They've cancelled two swim lessons (that I paid for) and never bothered to make them up. I tried signing up for a sport, but they also only promise 30 minutes of notice when cancelling any games. Hive 20 minutes from the Y, so basically l'm supposed to get everybody ready and loaded up in the car and pray it isn't a waste of time. Not to mention, they didn't drop the schedule for games until one week before the first game, and they misinformed everyone about what days the games would be.
Communication is TERRIBLE. Anytime I reach out via call or email, I don't get a response, even if it's urgent. It's not even a delayed response, just no response, ever, for anything. I've heard this same complaint from multiple people.
There have also been multiple occasions where the kids area is closed because 'no one showed up to open it. The pool has been closed to new swimmers a few times when we tried to visit due to lack of lifeguards.
There's 0 communication from swim lesson instructors on a child's progress, and I had to take a guess at which swim level my child was ready for when it was time for the next session of
lessons.
So yes, the staff is nice, but the actual programs are so poorly managed and unorganized that you're taking a gamble by paying for anything or getting your kids excited for any activities.

I really like this place... I do! The people are nice and the place is always clean! However, I wish the locker rooms were better. I love to go workout and my two younger children love to swim. However, when we swim, we only have two options where we can shower and change since they are under 18. The family restrooms shower drain barely drains and the floor ends up all wet... hard to put dry clothes on with the floor all wet from people coming in and using the restrooms or showering. The under 18 is the same problem, the only place to change is in the shower stall and the floor is flooded or the toilet stall and the floor is... just gross. Slimy... dirty... im not going shoeless. 🤢 The only "safe" place to change is the over 18 where they have changing stalls. So forgive me if you see small children in the adults locker room. My children don't want complete strangers to see them NAKED! Watching them undress and dress. The family stall is not made for changing into dry clothing. In the summer it is no big deal, but in the winter I would prefer being completely dry before leaving the facility.

I belong to a house Club where I was doing water Zumba classes and I was hoping this YMCA had something similar. They have water aerobics class but I don't care for the temperature of the water too cool. We pay to go here so there's no excuse for the skimping to keep us comfortable while we are visiting and using our membership that we once again paid for

This place is perfect for our family. There's childcare options for my 2 year old so my husband and I to get our workouts in. Sports activities for my older child, 2 indoor pools (one olympic sized for laps), and a really nice indoor splash pad. Then there'a a park ans water park located outside. All these amenities for a very reasonable monthly fee. We love it, and the people who work there have all been wonderful.
