Great place to work out. I was sad when I received a letter in early April that they were closing. Four Star, on NW 67th and May, must have owned or purchased them, as that is where memberships were being transferred. I went ahead and cancelled my membership and they were great about it. I will miss it. The location was spot on for me!

I quite enjoy it. It's a little small but it has a good range of free weights and machines. I've never had an issue getting in whatever workout I need. Plus it's very clean and well kept

I cancelled a couple years ago and just got a collection call for 290 dollars. I went in person, signed the form, and was SHOCKED to hear I owed this amount of money. I was friends with the manager too. I'm hoping to find my receipt of when I cancelled because I will not be paying this. Good gym, but hearing more and more of this "yOU DidNT SiGN ThE rIgHt fOrM" BS!!!!

Signed up for a $9.99 monthly gym membership left because the place is well let’s say dis-tasteful. So I pay a $50 cancellation fee right a year later a $1000 collection shows up on my credit report. Why? Trevor the golden boy manager/owner/ toilet scrubber/ who ever he is says I never came “in person” to cancel so because of that they wanna charge me $1000. Place is a joke can’t trust them with your financial info at all. Go to planet fitness. This place will screw you it’s no wonder there admin location shut down in they’ve lost 30% of their franchises in the past year.

I moved and tried to cancel numerous times but they would not do this over the phone. I finally called my bank and stopped the payments but then they started calling me for collections over $21.50. I stopped what I was doing and drove straight up there to pay them the $22 bucks and sign the document to cancel and they hit me for an additional $33.00 (after I paid the $22 of course). Horrible business practices! These people don't believe in taking care of their customer but are more interested in taking hostages.

Actuall gym looks ok. Small and no lockers rooms. Two changing rooms and lockers in general area though.
The issue is your shady business practices. No info on site for pricing. Why? They try and pressure you by pretending a deal is quickly going to expire so you need to act now!
How about offer the prices (which are reasonable) up front? It makes sane folks distrust you. Knock off the bad marketing and bet more people would sign up. This is the exact reason I went with another gym.
BTW-all the responses saying the reason people got screwed on memberships is you have to follow the company rules is beyond silly. Seems you changed that so say that, but again it is this game playing that gives people a negative view and experience.

Gym Isn't bad, very crowded. Worse gym to try to cancel membership. I moved out of state, called them 2 months later told them to cancel my membership and they would not. They told me to send a certified letter with my name and member number to cancel. This was after they collected a renewal fee of $34 and 2 months of membership fees. A phone call was not good enough to cancel. These guys are crooks and id never step foot in another fitness 19. You're a gym, not a financial institute, I should not have to send you any certified letter. You should just cancel the membership no questions asked. Ill be telling everyone I know not to go to any Fitness 19. I will also be taking legal action as well. When you have a lawyer in the family it doesn't cost anything. Fitness 19 will be at least $400 consult fee so I guess in the end I win.

It is refreshing to experience a gym like Fitness 19 after having multiple impersonal, unprofessional, memberships at other gyms. The staff is friendly, helpful, and motivating - which is important to me when trying to better my health. They do a great job keeping the gym clean and remain professional when dealing with difficult members. Even at other Fitness 19 locations this is always a apparent consistency. Could have been a great place to work out. Management and responsibility is terrible. Signed up a few months ago and had to cancel the membership because of a back injury. Went in person over a month ago and was told all done. Been charged two additional cycles. Called three times to complain about it and keep getting the same answer......we will leave a message for Kayleigh to handle it. Well, it still isn't handled and she has never called!!! Now its time to call the bank and have them blocked from charging my account. Dann nightmare dealing with them! Will not recommend to anyone.

The staff are racists! The manager with the tattoos on his arms had a man almost killed by the police because he couldn't intimidate with his words. The guy did nothing but had a verbal disagreement with that staff member, who then calls the police for no reason what so ever. I refuse to ever use their facilities again

Im very happy with my membership at Fitness 19. Im going on my 4th month now. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The location is a half mile away, which makes it very convenient for me. There is a ceiling fan in the middle of the treadmill section that never seems to work. If I could change anything about fitness 19, it would be to get this ceiling fan working. The airflow seems to make my jogging less harsh since I jog 2-3 miles on an incline 6-7 days a week. This is not a complaint, just a suggestion. This is my first gym membership, and it's proving to be worth my money.

It started out great until I decided to cancel the membership..Xavier told me I had a balance and then we settled for an amount to close it out.. When I went up there to pay the amount he told me he needed updated banking information I asked why he told me that it would be an remaining balance I told him it shouldn't be because this is the amount we had agreed on to close the account out. I suppose to sign a paper to cancel is what I was told by the other workers Xavier told me I had to give them a 30 day notice. It seems fishy. If the amount we agreed on suppose to close the balance that was left, why would I need to update my banking information for the "remaining balance??"

I only had a membership for almost 4 months. I checked it out because of their promo offer for $10 a month. I went in award that there would be an intial sign up fee, no problem. I explained, in detail, my limited income and I would need to establish an alternative date(month) and told them I would be using a pre-paid C.C. Xavier tried to get me to sign up immediately by offering different options, I said telling me the same things 4 different ways is STILL THE SAME. The other day I cancelled my membership, ahead of the due date the coming month, as I prepaid fees for this month. Now they are calling multiple times saying I owe a balance. How does a balance occur on a PRE-PAID service?!

The gym is OK and seems somewhat clean. But I give them one star because of their business practices. Do yourself a favor and NEVER give them your cell phone number. They have been spamming me with text messages (I got 7 texts in one day) and calling me trying to solicit more business dispute the fact that I have politely asked them several times to remove me from their list.

Fitness 19 is large and has clean facilities. It has friendly and knowledgeable staff. I expected nothing less. What I didn't expect was seeing my neighbors and friends walking, running, and lifting here. Once you get past the contorted workout faces, I found the other members are just as friendly and knowledgeable as the staff! Great neighborhood gym. Did I mention the great staff?
