Horrible greedy place that only wants your money and pretends to care about you. Trying to cancel my contract literally 3 days before there stupid unnecessary 40 dollar annual fee and there "systems are shut down" until Monday which is literally the day they charge me the annual fee, it's a 200 dollar opt out fee to leave the contract which the person that signed me up was extremely unclear and vague about because they just wanted me to sign so freaking badly to gain money themselves and then they charge you next month as well for leaving even though you don't want to be there anymore. Just to leave it will cost me over 300 dollars. Crooked as hell, go to planet fitness or work out at home, save yourself hundreds of dollars.

I'll start by saying I personally don't actually go here *yet?* and was visiting so haven't got the full personal experience.

The gym is pretty neat, tons of options regarding equipment and training tools etc, neat community table with programs and groups along with personal trainers and calendar for activity dates near the front along with employee stations.

The place has a pool and basketball court, they also have a fancy mini cafe at the front.
The place also has a dozen training studios for activities that can be planned.

Tvs are around for entertainment which is nice and also personal cubes to store belongings, I didn't check out the locker room so it may have lockers? But not 100% on that.

What's really nice is the amount of cleaning stations and water fountains to refresh, love the sanitizer stations.

Staff were also incredibly helpful/nice on providing information about the gym and it's activities.

Once more I was visiting while on a side quest and overall think this gym is pretty nice, and has many options.

Here's what I like - open gym with a lot of equipment options, usually not too busy, great staff. This is a good gym if you want to have a place to workout with other gym goers that are consistent and friendly but not overly social (how it should be). Good for serious lifters, beginners, families, or retirees alike.

The place and equipment are dated, no doubt, but who really cares. They have shown a commitment to fix what they can but they need more members to get all the way there. It works for me and many others.

Maybe check it out if you're looking for something low key with good people.

I know she is happy there because she comes home smiling every time. She has met some great people working to keep the place in tip top shape. She said Zack, Oscar(also known as Peter, basketball man Isiah, Nala and Kelly..she keeps everything sterile and clean.
My mom loves the pool best but she never smells like a pool because the showers are great

Friendly staff. I was impressed with the ladies locker room. Shampoo, Conditioner and body wash in the shower as well as blow dryers so you don't have to worry if you forget yours at home. Met with Bobby the personal training manager who's very knowledgeable and professional. I'm definitely thinking of signing up for personal training... This location is subpar compared to the one on 41st. It had multiple machines out or order, worn equipment, tape covering broken flooring, and cracked mirrors. Sets of dumbbells are missing and the smoothie bar doesn’t carry the same supply as the other location. Did not enjoy my workout here - 41st location is much cleaner, nice staff, and a more enjoyable environment.

This is another Genesis gym that has trouble keeping the AC low enough in the summer. Add to that, they have a pool and showers, but no towel service, which is odd since the other Genesis gyms in town have towels. And they have no fans on the cardio equipment, which most non-Genesis gyms have figured out. However their fitness equipment is in decent shape, compared to other Genesis gyms.

Was told by quite a few people that Genesis is know for ripping people off. So I called, spoke with Easton, about how to cancel my membership correctly. He informed me that our conversation would be considered my notice, but I still have to come into finish canceling. Go in today and sign whatever and sure enough, they considered THAT my 30 day notice so they would be charging my card again and they said I wouldn't have to pay annual dues. It really upset me as a consumer trying to be diligent that I was intentionally misleading. We'll see how much they charge my card. Don't believe anything they say.

I don’t remember ever giving a one star or even a bad Google review so for me to be taking my time to do this, know that it is a big deal. Customer service is zero! And since I’m already griping, the Woodland location was unbearably hot all summer. I never could understand why a couple of fans could not be added. And the women’s locker room always smells like a sewer. I could go on, but the main reason I’m reviewing at all is because there is a lack of integrity in management that I hope you can find at another gym.

I tried to cancel my membership and the guy was so rude to me and kept saying that if I couldn’t afford this gym why would I even get a membership in the first place? I never told him why I was canceling and he had a disgusting attitude towards me.
I never once said I couldn’t afford it, and the fact that the employee was extremely rude to me while trying to cancel was absolutely disgusting behavior.
I only had a membership for a few months and the ladies restroom always smelled so bag it was eye watering. While I loved the women’s only section of the gym, I’d rather go somewhere that is nice to the customers, and didn’t have rancid bathrooms.

A lot of the equipment is damaged and sort of semi repaired, the leg curling machine doesn't have a proper pin in it and instead list to the left or right when you curl out but jerks hard one way or another, its not balanced anymore.

The dry sauna has damaged wood and only one working light, the hot tub is genuinely green with algae compared to the pool right next to it which is semi clean, you can tell the waters shocked and treated in the pool vs the hot tub.

Outside of the normal issues, the gym use to claim to be open 24/7 during the week (with holidays off obviously), now its gone to only tuesday, wednesday, and thursday. I originally signed up for the gym there because they were open so late, I go at 10-11pm because of my job. It seems like they've dialed back the availability. Compared to VASA gym, they're starting to lose what makes them either a higher quality gym or a reason to go because others have the same amenities for a lower monthly rate.

It's getting hard to justify spending the $$$ for a gym that isn't taking proper care of its equipment and leaving hazards like equipment that can damage the user or the health of the hot tub. Again minor gripes but they're starting to snowball.

This place is beyond repairable, they just do not care about the AC or overall wellness of their guests. I come every single day and for 2 entire weeks now, IN THE SUMMER, we havent had any airflow at all. No fans, no effort at all. This is by far my favorite gym. The staff is super friendly and the gym has all the equipment you could want for almost any general training. I started as a crusty broken middle aged man and progressed to a middle aged person who kinda looks like they go to the gym in only 6 months hopefully by a year I'll look like I belong in a tank top and questionably short running shorts at the river. I can't speak on the personal trainers, I'm sure they are great but as someone familiar with kinesiology physiology and nutrition I didn't really need one to test it out. 10/10 would recommend to friends family and random people who never asked me.

My personal trainer khairi is a super cool guy he helped me make working out more easier and enjoyable and Kiara is a very sweet person she made me a delicious protein smoothie at the end of my workouts this is a nice place to go

Great gym experience! Very clean, well laid out and the lap pool and women’s only gym was a nice surprise! Adam at the front desk always greats us with a warm and welcoming smile, even in the super early hours of the morning!
