This used to be a good place to ,work out. But recently just found out that the gym was closing. But the thing about that is they didn’t send out an email informing us that it was closing I was told by another patron. They said they would move us to another location but it is farther then 8 miles which states in the contract I signed in the beginning. And then I was told that they were going to take payment out. Which don’t think that is right. And that is not good business with its patrons and then you try to call corporate to ask and they block your email. So they don’t care about you and it seems like all they want is your money. I wouldn’t recommend golds to anybody.

This gym is usually very clean. If you like free weights be ready to wait around unless you can get there when they open. The staff seems to constantly change. The movie room was a big reason for me joining, and it's really great, when it works. It seems to break often. It's not a bad gym, but I don't think it's worth the extra money you'd pay over others.

Not very happy with golds gym. I opened my membership last year and was on a month to month. Well in December I broke my leg in 3 places and dislocated my ankle I was in a wheelchair for 4 months and than in a boot for 2. I called the gym to have them freeze my account because I couldn’t use it. I was told sure but I needed to get a doctors statement showing that and I did. However they never did put my account on hold. I was charged every month so now I’m going to cancel see if that will even happen

I went to cancel my membership and turns out per contract they won't cancel for 30 days then they charge you another month and use your deposit for that. Don't think this is right!

I had to rate with one star to post. They honestly don't even deserve that. I was a member of Gold's Gym in Del City since 2013. When I first started going there, the gym was great. The staff cared, especially the front desk staff, and were always nice and welcoming. Over the years and several changes in staff, the gym has slowly gotten worse. Just about all of the treadmills have one issue or another and it didn't seem that the management wanted to get new or add equipment. They finally added two rowing machines but nothing else has been touched. I decided to cancel my membership in June due to the equipment being faulty but also due to management / staff trainers at this location and the raise in price of my basic membership. I was grandfathered in when they switched from an "Express Gym". Unfortunately, it's not a full gym but still an express gym and it kills me that so many people are charged the rates they are. The manager only leaves his office to use the restroom and can't bare to make eye contact with anyone in the gym. I canceled my membership and have now been charged twice since. I was told that there was a 30 day notice of cancellation which is why I was charged last month. I agreed to that because I expected it. I checked my account and was charged again this month (August). Again, not surprised but am very frustrated with the lack of responsibility the staff takes when you speak with them. I waiting on a call from one of the managers to see if I can get my money back. I understand that this could happen at any gym, but wanted to share my review about this gym to hopefully save someone from joining.

I think you need to either have 2 people to open or at the least a number on the door in case the opener doesn't show up. About 15 of us were in front of the gym this morning at 5:45 (supposed to open at 5:00). Those of us who came for Bodypump, including the instructor, finally left. If you are losing members, you can blame these kinds of issues.

Hi everyone ! I just want to let Everyone know , don't ever trust the manager of Gold Gym in Midwest City location , He is lie to customer. I ask him many time about the first day I open my membership. He told me at Gold Gym in Midwest City location, they don't do any contract with customer. But Until today I did make a call for cancel my acount with them because I have to move back my country but they say I have contract with them to Jun 2017. This is really awful to lie with customers. I will tell my family and a lot of my friend about how the manager to lie. Never go back that place.

There is a good selection of free weights and dumbbells so that is a plus. Cardio equipment is in decent shape. The equipment is clean. They lack some essential equipment such as a standing leg curl machine, hack squat machine and a secondary squat rack. They don't have a dead lift platform, just some rubber mats on the floor. Their cable machine makes some workouts awkward or inadequate. But overall it will get you by.

My wife and I went in and asked for a month to month all access pass. We were signed up for a 12 month contract. This was due to a miscommunication regarding their military discount. The Golds Gym website offers a No Contract All Gym Membership for a one time fee of $69.99 and a bi-weekly fee of $17.99. Their military discount makes the one time fee $49 and gives you 20% off of your monthly dues. All we were given was a waived entry fee. I only noticed this after my first full months bill because the paperwork that was printed didn't detail the transaction or what type of membership we signed up for. It just stated what I paid at the time.

UPDATE:
After talking with the Manager about my issue he promised to get it fixed. Almost 4 months later there has been nothing. I ask at least once a month and am always told that he is working on it, he talked to his boss earlier that day, his boss forwarded it up to the next level. I've stopped asking at this point.

Nice gym with lots of amenities/features. Haven't used many of them. I am able to get in and get out. Facility is clean and well kept. I bought a membership through Groupons and didn't have to give any payment information yet, so I haven't experienced the unauthorized payment issue like many that have left a review.
