I was a member for less than a month at the Del City Location before the permanently shut their doors. Been trying to cancel my membership for 3 wks now. They insinuated at one point that driving from near Choctaw to the Moore or 23rd and Penn was reasonable. For the days and times I have available due to having 2 kids with after school stuff and work and traffic, the Del City location was was a great option, but the other locations are rediculous. I liked the location but this was not me leaving, my gym left me.

Gold's Gym corporate. Allow me to explain.
I was charged a fee of $20 out of nowhere a few months after I signed up in 2018, so it isn't the facilities fault. I called corporate and no one could really tell me why I was charged an extra $20... WHAT.
I also called to put my account on hold. Found out it would cost $15/month and you could only leave it on hold for 3 months. When I asked them to do it and went to check my bank account a couple of months later, corporate didn't put my account on hold, so I still had to pay full amount.. THE.
I also just found out that I could've cancelled my account months ago online. When I called corporate, they told me I had to come inside to knock that out. I went inside, was handed a piece of paper, and said I could do it online... HELL.

Gold's Gym on 23rd, y'all need raises.

After being a member of this gym for years, I recently cancelled my membership. I have seen a gradual decline of this gym over the years. The gym hardly has any classes to offer. They cannot keep instructors, or at least good ones. Recently, after instructors left, management did not even tell members that there would not be a replacement. We found out when a member went to the front desk and was told that they could not find a replacement. Current management seems to lack the aptitude to provide anything but poor member service. If you want to see what a gym looks like on its way out, go visit this one. After talking to other members, they are opting for other local gyms in the area that cost less and offer more. It’s sad to see the demise of this gym remembering it in its better days a few years ago. The cleanliness is hit and miss, missing equipment, or equipment not working at all. If you want to spend money on a gym, I wouldn’t waste it on this one.

Cool little spot for a quick workout... One of the cleanest gyms I've been to! They're missing a few things that I'm used to using like a lat pull down and incline bench due to size constraints, but if you've been clangin and bangin long enough you can make it work.

This place is really missing some critical components to a good workout. They don’t have a lot of things that are usually standard and other gyms such as a lat pull down, seated row, etc. I did back and really had to get creative.

Generally a good experience but this location is slowly letting things degrade. Many treadmills either have locked up screens, are wobbly, squeaky or some of their touch sensitive controls don't work. Some equipment like exercise mats, cable system attachments, weight clips, etc are extremely worn or broken. The location also claims to be a "full" gold's gym location when just a year ago it had been operating for 5+ years as an "express" location. The express designation signified that it was less full featured than other gold's locations (which it is) and came at a lower monthly cost. I was very pleased with this location, even when they raised rates a year ago but letting equipment degrade is changing my opinion.

Came to OKC on business. The staff was amazing. I don't have a Gold's membership so they hooked me up with a 30 day retail pass (buy stuff, get to use the gym, win/win). Can't stress how friendly and courteous the staff was. Only criticism is they could use more weight training equipment and less treadmills. The place is like, 40% treadmills. Will definitely return if I'm in OKC again.

I prefer this gym over any other gym in the metro area. In fact I like this Gold's gym customer service better than others. People are generally really nice and helpful. The one in Moore has more lighting, but I've grown a liking to this one.

If you're the type of person that's serious about working out, then pick this one. In fact it'll probably be more encouraging to you to see so many people serious about their Health Fitness.

The place is always clean and the staff are always very nice. My complaint is with the equipment. The location on 23rd is lacking in several pieces of equipment that is pretty normal for most gyms, and since Golds is supposed to be the best hardcore gym, they should have everything. Specifically, there's no cable crossover machine, no dip/pull up machine, no seated cable row machine, no 35 lb plates, no 2.5 lb plates, and no full set of pre-set curl bars. Plus, there are always several cardio machines that are broken, and they stay broken for weeks. Finally, there is a female that cleans/closes the men's locker room in the middle of the day. I appreciate the cleanliness but closing the restrooms/locker rooms in the middle of the day is not very convenient for customers. Again, the place is always clean and the staff are great. Everything I mentioned is a management issue and not really the staff's fault. I'll continue to go there and work around the equipment issues, but that doesn't meant I have to like it.

Edit: November 2016. Because of the above issues (and the fact that they still exist), I have changed Golds locations. I now drive 5 min more to the Golds on NW Expressway where they have more equipment and the locker room doesn't close in the middle of the day. Bottom line is that the location at 23rd needs equipment, needs to fix their cardio machines, and stop closing the locker room in the middle of the day.

I have been a Gold's gym member for two years now. This franchise is horrible and much disliked. I have seen bugs in the rack for weights . Every now and then you get into hilly Billy type people who are rude and disrespectful. I would say the management need to look into the issue as soon as they can.

Had 10 dollar per month membership. Came back to the gym to renew before price increase. Was told no salesmen were available and could come in the next day to renew. Came in next day and nobody was available to help. Finally got somebody to help the next day and was told I had to renew at new rate that is triple what I was paying. Also, the speakers in the cardio cinema have not worked in months. Wish it would get fixed....other than this equipment is okay.
