Lifted here for about 2 years, but due to work times changing had to go to 4 star fitness.
Things I liked.
The staff, the gym bro's. The 150lb db's.
And having 2 complete cable machines.
Things I disliked.
Bathrooms always dirty despite multiple requests to management to clean.
No pool, although its marketed as having a pool.
This place would have kept me if it was 24 hrs.

Why close for the day if youre not gonna clean?
Adapting to the market to 24hrs a day only makes sense. Anyways. I'll miss you golds. 😔

Bathroom has the same stains for weeks and months at a time. Smells really bad and usually I’m not one to care, I know it’s not a 5 star place, but they needed to run a mop through there months ago…they should be cleaning it everyday. Very dirty, and everyone’s getting there shoes all over the equipment that they just walked out of the filthy bathroom in.

Whoever is in charge of cleaning at the Moore location needs to come over here and take over. Moore location is always spotless, the Yukon location is a sewer.

Clean , not to busy . Could use more equipment and a better variety . All gyms need a shrug machine in my opinion and more than one plate loaded machine for each body part. Had a good workout anyways

Great gym! Clean, not cramped with available equipment for use, and the gentlemen at the front desk are super helpful! The dry sauna in the women's is spacious and clean. After having tried other gyms in this area, i really recommend this gym after becoming a member here.

Was recently at planet fitness for years and switch to Crunch the new gym here in Yukon. Left Planet Fittness for numerous reasons and joined golds here in Yukon. The place is very clean. The equipment is great. The atmosphere is nice and most importantly, it’s not overcrowded 🙌 you’re able to get to equipment easily. Like many I read some of the negative reviews in the past I can’t really comment to that all I can say is it’s been a excellent gym with excellent equipment, the staff has been courteous and kind and I enjoy not having to wait or arm wrestle for equipment. I would highly recommend checking it out. Side note if they put in tanning this place would be clean house in Yukon.

I moved to the area around 10 months ago. There is another 'chain' gym nearby, but I opted for Gold's this morning. It is the second time I had been to this gym and first time in a while. Gym was immaculate. Very clean. Tons of options. Locker room was clean, and Sauna was clean and nice. I appreciate gyms that allow me to get my work in, are clean, and the customer service is nice. Everything I need in a gym. It was not packed, but people were there. I'll continue to use this over the nearby gym that I had been using before.

I have no other choice but this gym. It is 2 mins from where I live. They used to have their swimming pool and hot tub. But since covid hit they closed it. I was hoping they would open it by now but they didn’t. Why? Its not like they have to build a whole new pool? I asked one of their employee the reason why? They said because they dont have enough members. Im like… DUH!! Open the pool you’ll take over crunch’s members! I bet all the formers member move to crunch because they are brand new and way cheaper! And they got that freakin massage chair LOL if only i dont have kids i would go to crunch and make the drive. Maybe.. if they still not open their pool anytime soon. I will be gone to crunch too. Also.. whats the deal with the lady who just randomly cleaning every gym equipments?? Almost like a slavery for me. She be non stop wiping the equipments even the bottom part? Why? I can speak for some members here that it is uncomfortable! We feel bad to the lady. I got it u probably want to keep the equipments clean, but is it necessary to do it non stop over and over again? I dont wanna working out and have a cleaning lady right next to me wiping the equipment. I almost feels like someone spying on us. Lol fix that. Thanks

The manager is rude and unprofessional. They will nickel and dime you no matter the circumstance. They are also not military friendly. Even with orders, they tried to fine me for an early breach of contract. Obviously, they aren't familiar with the military. I had to threaten legal action for a gym contract. It's completely ridiculous. Stay clear of this golds gym! The manager and how he operates is an issue. Do not join.

They will not cancel your membership. They will claim they do, but they don’t. If you change your card number cause heaven forbid you don’t want to continue giving out pointless money, they will then tell you that you have an outstanding balance, which just continues to grow and grow. I love Golds as far as their facilities go, but basically they can’t be trusted.

I appreciate the atmosphere within any Gold's Gym you walk into, but unfortunately the value you receive for the amount that you pay is no longer the best when compared to other gyms in the area. Your membership doesn't come with many benefits, for example no "bring a guest" options, and you'll be paying at least $15 more than a membership at another gym which includes this and more. For anyone wondering, the pools are no longer open and haven't been for a while, so that is also no longer a benefit. Gold's will always be an iconic name in bodybuilding, but I unfortunately cannot say that it would be my first choice to gym in Yukon anymore.

I used to love this gym when it first opened but not anymore. The pluses are it's clean and usually not very busy, staff is nice.

But they closed the pool which my husband and I both needed for exercise for health issues we have. And their hours keep getting shorter and shorter. We will be switching to a 24hr gym because of this.

Do not join this gym. Tried to cancel account and they’ll find any way to keep charging you. Went in to cancel my account and my wife’s, was told all documentation needed to sign was completed. Still getting charged in September when cancelled in July. Have zero accountability for anything they mess up on their end and will go in circles saying it had to have been customer that messed up even though explicitly told them wanted both accounts cancelled. Will never join a Golds gym again after dealing with Alex who is a clown of a manager. Also failed to mention have already gone in person to have this matter handled on two separate occasions and your response is quoting a policy that has nothing to do with the fact I signed paperwork documenting cancellation, was told by staff it would be processed/cancelled, yet magically “didn’t receive a request for my wife’s account be to be cancelled”. Guess I didn’t verbalize it loud enough in person. Looking through reviews, it’s a similar pattern for other members who tried to cancel. Crooks

The two girls up at the front desk this morning were so kind and helpful. They were so professional helping me update my card info, while helping another gentleman pay for a day pass, and clean up coffee someone had poured on their floor. They were juggling so many things at once and doing it beautifully. The facility is so clean and welcoming. Everyone is so friendly on top of it. The equipment selection is incredible. They answered all my questions about the machines as well. I'll never go anywhere else.

This is an good gym. Don’t have to fight over the equipment. I became a member strictly because of the sauna. I knew that the other locations have a pool so I didn’t ask about it. However, this location no longer have a pool. Ig the new owners decided not to spend the money to open the pool. I REALLY NEED THE POOL FOR REHABILITATION PURPOSES. It saddens me that they have not considered opening the pool back up.

I joined when the gym first opened and had a family membership for over six years. I had called in May of 2020 to have my membership paused for a few months and was told that would not be a problem. However, when my credit card statement showed up, I saw that I was still getting charged. I called and was told there was nothing they could do to refund the charges. So I called my credit card company to dispute the charges. The credit card company reversed the charges, but Gold's decided to turn the charges for one month over to a collection agency. If any employees promise you anything regarding your account, insist that they give you something in writing. Regardless of how long you've been a loyal customer, they won't trust your word about what you say an employee told you. Every other gym in the area has higher ratings. I'd suggest you try one of them first.

I have canceled my membership here in January 2021 and they have charged me 5 times since then, but not back to back it’s every month or two months after that or sometimes it has been back to back! I have called and went up through personally just this month and was told I would be getting my money back and they “re-cancelled” my membership but I STILL got charged again? And still no money back.....
They still don’t have the pool or sauna up but never dropped the price for the time being? When you’re basically paying all that $40 for extra stuff like that. Don’t waste your time going to golds, go to BIFFS or four star fitness.

Have been attempting to cancel membership since August of last year. The website would not let us cancel and when we got in touch with a manager and started emailing back and forth thought we would be able to get it taken care of until we had to finally block the charges to the credit card as they could not or would not cancel the membership. Fast forward to April and we now have been turned over to collections for payments since we stopped charges to the card.

Signed contract 2 weeks before pandemic and am being told I still have to pay early contract termination fee for each person on account on top of the 3 months worth of membership dues because Noone likes to return calls around there. Holding ppl to contracts in the middle of a pandemic when they haven't even reopened ALL of their amenities... horrible buisness practice

Read...read...read the fine prin on your contract!!! You will be charged every 2 WEEKS!!! NOT bi-weekly or monthly!!! ALSO...IF YOU BECOME disabled it will take you over a month to get your contract canceled. You CAN NOT do it online like they tell you. You have to call and take the doctors note in and they will continue to charge you for an ENTIRE month after you are canceled!!!

My husband and I got a membership with Golds one year ago in January. They decided to close childcare and so we decided Golds wasn’t a fit for us anymore. We were in a contract with them and we knew we would need to cancel with them when that contract was up in January. My husband called to cancel and they wouldn’t let us cancel until March 28th. They said they could charge us an extra two months due to Covid. I have never written a bad review but this is the worst experience I have ever had with a business. It’s ridiculous that they decided to extend our contract just to make money for themselves.

Golds has a terrible cancellation process. They won't cancel your service over the phone, and they have a secret website that you have to call and get a code for. They create individual accounts per user and only give the code for the one account without telling you there were multiples. Finally, during the pandemic, they've changed their web cancellation process and are requiring you to actually COME IN to cancel, what logic is that?

I've read some of the negative reviews and frankly every gym will have some customers with bad experiences, including me. On the whole, though, I've been to five of the metro area Gold Gyms and this is the best one so far. It has a nice pool (chlorine-free), clean showers and locker room, separate dry saunas for men and women, a big jacuzzi, a cinema exercise room, great free weights and machine weight equipment, bikes and ellipticals with independent TV's and cell phone holders, and separate training and semi-private areas for classes and personal training. Right now you also sign up for only a dollar! I'm only over that way on Fridays, but wish it was my home gym!

I highly recommend joining ANY gym except for Gold’s. I recently found out that I have an aneurysm in my heart and I have to be careful and try not to get my heart rate up. Therefore, going to the gym is, unfortunately, something that I can no longer enjoy. I called and asked what I needed to bring in to cancel my membership and they told me they just needed me to bring in medical paperwork to prove that I have a medical condition and they would cancel. I took in all of my paperwork from Oklahoma Heart Hospital and they made copies and said they would cancel it right away and I would receive an email later that day. I asked if I needed to sign anything and they said no they just needed the medical paperwork. After never receiving an email I called and was told the manager was out but would call me back....never received that call. Over the course of almost 3 weeks I have called several times and been told every time that the manager is out. But this last time is almost hilarious...I was told the manager was out of the office and would have to call me back. So I said “well, I have been told that several times and never received a call. Is my account still active or not?” And the guy said “yes, it’s still active.” I said okay so since the manager never calls me back I need you to tell me why it is still active after I have brought in my confidential medical records in order to get it canceled. He puts me on hold then comes back and says “the manager said he will call you right back.” So...was the manager out of the office or just not taking calls to cancel? Seems shady and unprofessional to me. Definitely not someone I trust with my confidential medical records or banking info. Run far away from here! Try Planet Fitness or Biff’s...I hear they’re fabulous and respect their members!!

Gym has excellent equipment and plenty of it. The hours could better accommodate those who do not work a regular 9 to 5 schedule and was often overly crowded. The biggest problem is the lack of transparency when signing your membership contract regarding their cancellation policy. They go out of their way to make this difficult and will continue to charge you until you A) Drive to their location to do this or B) Send a CERTIFIED letter to their headquarters. Before knowing this policy, I received zero feedback from anyone at local level or corporate level regarding the cancellation. I had to change billing info online to get anyone to act like they cared about the issue and contact me at which point I was notified of the options to cancel. I explained to the lady speaking with me that I was working a remote location in OK and live in Wyoming where there isn't a Golds location and needed a different option to which she replied that was the only way it could be done. I last used the services in Aug 2018, was able to make it in to the gym location May 2019, and received a final notice of funds due plus an additional month charge for June 2019 and threat of turnover to collections. Golds Gym has prioritized its corporate agenda over customer service. Their business model is shady at best. I would not recommend a Golds membership to anyone considering it.

The equipment and layout of the gym is great. The pool is a big plus for us as my oldest loves to swim. But that's about all. The staff is despondent when asked about anything in the gym. The website touts that they will support their members every step of the way stating "we promise to HELP YOU FIND YOUR STARTING POINT
BUILD YOUR PATH TO SUCCESS
SHOW YOU THE ROPES
BE WITH YOU EVERY STEP OF THE WAY
GUARANTEE SATISFACTION" yet when I, as a paying member, have asked for assistance with machines or just basic knowledge I have been told to pay for a personal trainer if I need help. The locker rooms are awful, both the men's and women's. The toilet stalls smell awful, there is always trash on the floors, and the showers do not get cleaned. We have pointed out how the hair, gelatinous goo on the walls, mildew, trash, used women's products on the floor, etc remain there not just for days but weeks on end. This has been an issue for at least three years. There is never a manager around to speak to and the people at the front desk just give me a blank stare. I go in the mornings before most people, the showers are generally dry when I go in indicating they haven't been used yet and they already have hair and goo on the walls which is a sign they are not getting cleaned at all. Very disappointing after reading on their website about their "luxurious locker rooms"... "At Gold’s Gym, we not only make your visit convenient – we make it luxurious. Our locker rooms facilitate your workout and are a great place to relax afterward" The hot tub is typically covered in a brown froth and only 4 of the the 10 jets barely work. The only reason we haven't switched gyms is because of the pool for my son. My husband doesn't even use golds gym anymore, he has started going to another gym near his job because he is tired of the dirty locker rooms and the high school swim team that trashes everything during the school year. I tried another golds gym location near quail spring mall and it was just as nasty as the Yukon one...very disappointed.

Clean facility, typical Gold's environment/drama. Busy spot.
Only one Olympic lifting platform and only 180# in bumper weights.
Pool is nice.

Im extremely upset because this morning, my jacket was stolen from the locker room which contained the keys to my truck which is what truly worries me. Now if I go back to the gym, there is a chance my truck could get stolen.

Golds always has good equiptment at everyone i have been to. This one I cannot recommend due to the staff the guy up front does not offer any type of greeting when we arrived or left. I purchased a day pass because i was not able to use a pass my mother had provided to me because it had gone past the use by date. I guess they really needed my 15 bucks to workout in order to keep the lights on. I also feel there is no reason to become a member if you cannot bring a guest and show them the facility and get a workout in once in awhile! I was also not offered a reciept for my purchase. Hope i didnt get over charged. Very little customer service there. Not recommended at all.

This gym really lie! Registered for three months before. I have asked if they can cancel their memberships anytime, anywhere as long as I don't want to participate! They are right! But this time I am going to cancel my membership. They said that they should count my monthly expenses. I said why they said that they had to cancel one month in advance. But I have been a month old. I have to brush my credit card once. This makes me very difficult to understand. Also very angry. Don't be fooled! Anyway, they have any excuse to refute you!

So we try and use their 3 day pass option to try out the gym, got our passes, decided we wanted to go early in the morning and beat all of the early-comers to the sauna. The time comes to leave, and we head out to the gym. We get there only to find out that we drove all that way for nothing because you guys need a “manager” to activate 3 day passes, and that he or she would not be in for another 4 hours. Ridiculous. None of that was mention beforehand. The sales rep then tries to sell us day passes like it was our mistake for not knowing, because your company can’t or won’t train your employees to activate these passes. I will not be driving 35 minutes again to your establishment.

I dont go here anymore. I will be getting out of my two year contract as soon as it's up. Too many people here, too many groups of dudes crowding my space, too much annoying grunting, girls dress like skanks and are distracting, shower pressure and temperature varies, expensive, cant find machines too work out on, leave your machine for a second and it will get taken. This place is great for super fit people but not so for average Joe's.

***BEWARE***

This golds gym is a very nice location, very clean and friendly staff.

HOWEVER
I joined back in July 2016 and paid my membership off after the year and did month to month. I then moved to the east side and that golds sucked. So I cancelled my membership October 2017 but they never submitted the paper work so I went in again (because their cancellation policy is terrible) in November submitted and took photos of the papers again still nothing. I went in yet a third time in late November and still NOTHING! These freaks keep billing me so I called my bank who graciously cancelled all the payments that were billed and gave me my money back. Now I have a account in collections? WTH golds? Fix your policy damn thieves

Under no circumstances should you use Gold’s Gym before you google their BBB info. I emailed a signed cancellation letter per their customer service on a month to month contract 5 months ago and they’re still trying to charge me. Just had another 1,000 dollars removed from my credit card. Cancelled card to finally stop the charges. There’s nothing so great about a gym that you’d like to pay a grand on a month to month contract you already cancelled. #stayaway #googletheirconsumerreports #fileanagreport

For a long time Golds Gym has been associated with working out like Bruce Springsteen has been associated with blue jeans. However this day in age I’m afraid it is not anymore. The staff is very friendly and the workout area is large, modern and clean, perfect for the beginning male gym goer. However if you’re a female lifter or dedicated male lifter, you’re going to be annoyed, even frustrated by the people who workout there. For women, if you’re in shape, you’ll be hounded by guys who rather talk to or hit on you than let you lift in peace. For avid male lifters who want to better their bodies, using science and technique (like me) be prepared to see a bunch of guys who only lift upper body, looking to see what their next bench PR is almost every day, doing ridiculous routines to get the maximum pump they can get or sitting on their phones, ogling at the women who walk by. My suggestion is for the gym to ask it’s new members what their goals are, maybe even offer a gym etiquette class before the users can sign up for the gym. Like I said the average or beginning gym goers might benefit from this gym, but if you know what you’re doing in the gym and don’t want your workouts hindered by ego lifters, I would suggest going to a smaller hole-in-the wall gym, who’s focus is on no-BS lifting.

Gold's is probably the best full service gym around. The pool drew me in, I love to swim! You can pretty well do anything fitness related, minus anything with a court or field. It us pretty expensive to get started, and the monthly membership is more than other area gyms. However, if you fully utilize the facilities, it is a pretty good value.

This gym has all the amenities you could ask for! Gym, free weights, group classes, swimming pool, sauna and separate cross fit area. The class instructors are energetic but I think the classes could be more difficult if you are a regular gym rat. The cross fit gym and personal training are extra on top of monthly membership. It's not the cheapest gym in town but you get your monies worth in amenities. It's always busy!

Don't waste your time, this gym is for fit folks. My 16 year old son & I got booted out of boot camp. Very abrasive & judgmental people. It's also expensive & they will not teach you how to use the equipment. Now I understand their competition's marketing campaign about the No lunks and No judgment zone.
