Pros: Facilities are unmatched in Tulsa. Steam and dry saunas are perfect for post workout recovery. Free weights and machines are in great condition and clean.

Disinfectant wipes and spray are available throughout.

Indoor running track offers lanes for walkers and runners.

Lap and exercise pools are sparkling.

Locker rooms are extremely clean and well appointed with a lux vibe. Plentiful towels.

All exercise venues available including cycling, racquetball, pickleball, basketball, Pilates, Yoga, HITT, etc.

The cafe has delicious smoothies and recovery drinks, plus light and healthy snacking.

Cons: Limited cafe hours. Late afternoon and evening guests will not have access to the cafe. It closes at 2:00 pm.

Extremely congested parking during peak hours. Parking spots are tight with the possibility of door dings.

Biggest con: During early morning hours, groups of older guests tie up machines chit-chatting instead of completing reps and moving on. The attendants do nothing to keep these guests moving on for others who are on a work schedule. Very frustrating when time is limited. Get on the machine, do your reps, and get off. Plenty of seating available to visit throughout the facility.

We spent a relaxing day at St. Francis Health Zone β€” me, my teenager, my 12-year-old daughter and her friend, and my friend Jane.

The staff were so friendly, and the entire facility was super clean. One of my favorite parts is the pool β€” they even provide free towels, and the women’s shower room has complete amenities: shampoo, body wash, soap, conditioner, and blow dryers!

Members also have access to lockers, which is really convenient. I also loved the gym area β€” the machines are easy to use and beginner-friendly with clear instructions.

Whether you’re coming for fitness, healing, or just some quality time with family and friends, this place truly supports your wellness journey.

I recently found debits from my bank account by Health Zone for membership fees during four months of this year. I ended my membership at HZ seven or eight years ago, so long ago in fact I did not remember the specific departure date. HZ business office stated the membership was renewed by me in January, '25, which is not true. They agreed to reverse the fraudulent charges of $212.69 and I have received those funds. However, no explanation has been offered for the error. If you join HZ enjoy the experience, but beware for years to come as HZ evidently does not purge previous customers' accounts, nor their banking information which is quite concerning.

We’ve been bringing my son here for swim lessons and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The instructors are patient, friendly, and really know how to connect with kids. My son looks forward to every class, and we’ve seen so much progress in both his confidence and swimming skills. The facility is always clean and well-organized, and the staff is welcoming and professional. It’s clear they truly care about each child’s development. Highly recommend this place to any parent looking for quality swim instruction!

The gym has potential to be great. It is clean and has a lot to offer but when it comes to kids under 12, its very limited. The only reason why I joined was because my kids could be included but the kids zone is only open for a few hrs in the morning during the week days. Kids can only swim on weekends in a 3 hour window - no exceptions. I work overnight shifts at the hospital and I only work 3 days a week and generally work on the weekends. It would mean a lot if the gym was more flexible for ALL of their Saint Francis workers, not just their day shift people. I used to come there after work when I worked day shift and just relaxed in the heated pool and decompress from work and I was always the only person in that pool at 7:00 p.m... there really isn't a good reason why they couldn't add family swim to the end of each weekday to expand their kid friendly hours. I understand that the Kids Zone hours may not be able to be expanded because of staffing but it would really mean a lot if they could at least have family swim hours daily.

"Super Fantastic" When I joined I could barely walk or get up off the ground if I was laying down. Two months later with the help of Lauren Barker one of the trainers: I am running, playing tennis, able to get up off the ground with ease , doing Pilates. Lauren's Pilates class has eased the constant back pain I've had for years. Even though I'm 74 I,'m operating like I did when I was 55. The gym is above average clean. Always a trained person to show you how to use the equipment, and greet you upon entering. Any athletic interest you have there's a class you can join. A wonderful environment.

I’ve been a member of the Healthzone off & on since the 90s. I love Body-flex, Pilates & yoga classes. All oriented to maintaining mobility and flexibility.
SWIMMING POOL: The 3 lane lap pool is on the warm side @ 82. To accommodate the geriatric crowd, walking and use of aerobic devices like noodles are allowed even though it’s designated at times for β€œlap swim”. So if you’re looking for a good swim workout, you probably want to consider a different option.

The yoga on Tuesday and Thursday is like something you get at an all inclusive resort. It is a poor excuse for yoga and is likely to hurt some unsuspecting practitioner. I reported it to the director numerous times and she finally said it just isn’t a priority. So, I moved over to St. John’s where they take yoga seriously. They do have an excellent Pilates instructor named Janice but her classes are very full and there are about 2 or 3 people wearing a mask out of 35 people. This does not strike me as a medically approved facility!

I joined at the end of June and then they changed when they were going to take out dues so I got charged again. When I tried to get someone to help me all I got was a snark and rudeness from some lady in the business building named Gina. I either want my money back or I am canceling the membership. This is not how to do business. This is theft.

Very nice facility. I went here on weekends during Freshman year of high school to train for the 2012 Bataan Memorial Death March Marathon in White Sands, NM (that's me there in the front row, second from the left in my profile pic) with my AFJROTC unit (but competed alone as a civilian). Been going here ever since to work out as well as for physical therapy.

Good variety of equipment you can use, and no one will be judgy since a lot of times, at least when I go there, there are older people who just want to get fit.

I do wish they would bring back the saunas; I have used them for detoxification and to relax after a workout.

Would recommend.

ETA: I worked out here today and they still have the saunas! For a while, they had the wet sauna and eventually closed both of them down, but now both of them are open for people to use.

I have worked out on and off for over 5 years, through knee injuries and off time. The health zone has always been a good place to work out and not feel intimidated or judged by your athletic ability. My mother in law enjoys the water aerobics and classes upstairs. I would say if you are looking for a good gym, a good value ( I do wish teachers got a break on price, considering its healthy and teaching a good way to live to also be a role model for students) as well as a friendly and now very nicely renovated environment with many aesthetics as well as amenities! thumbs up!

I really like the low pressure atmosphere. There aren't many 'body builder' types, so as an overweight female I'm not intimidated. They are more focused on your overall health than muscle mass or how fast you run. My only major complaint is that they aren't open 24/7, I work nights so I'm up at odd hours of the day, and they aren't always open when I'd like to go by and work out.

Quality Poor to fair
The renovations at the Health Club took over a year. The assisted weight machines are geared toward men. They are bulky and ugly. They are already in a state of disrepair. The vinyl is torn on several machines. The TV monitors can not be adjusted vertically and if you're vertically challenged, it is literally a pain in your neck. Sometimes the TV does not work. There is one particular cardio elliptical machine where the TV connection is bad and the control unit keeps flipping upside down. I have brought this to their attention several times. Of the two units there, one has been squeaking for years. Now the "out of order" sticker has been placed and that is the way the problem has been fixed !!! The staff at the desk at the work out area are loud and disturb those of us who work out for the peace of it.
