Best gym I’ve ever been to!

Too many people are allowed to attend this gym that don't pay!! And to make it worse, a large number of people pay a much lower rate than most of us United States born citizens! Perhaps you will see the most loyal and higher quality paying members fleeing and make an adjustment! I know many who have. After 30 years I'm out! Like many things, a lot of Americans continue to allow this type nonsense! I'm not one of them and I'm not going to pay a premium while those referenced pay a third of actual dues. What you allow will continue, change course!

God Bless America!

The gym is clean, well presented, and the staff have all been quite friendly. Excellent, clean equipment, but again, the staff are the main event. After I had personnally suffered severe physical injury, after hospital PT, I was convinced to go to Lifetime to get "back in shape"; truly, get into shape for the second time in my entire adult life. I was fortunate to be paired with a new-to-Lifetime, but a lifetime (pun slightly intended) physical fitness boss, Alton. In the first half-hour of meeting my new personal trainer, I knew I had found a physical fitness partner, and later, a friend. Despite friendship, he punishes me relentlessly but always has an encouraging word. Pushes you, and congratulates you for whatever you can accomplish. I've never met a trainer like Alton Chan. I dread and look forward to every workout with my friend, Alton.

Don't. Make policies against me work with me.
I have been working with the bags since the remodel i believe 4 years ago. A policy was made that the bags cant be took down for grappling, ground work and wrestling. due to tearing up. That's normal wear and tear. Work with me dont make policies against me. Thats going to.li.it or stand in my way. Get a grappling bag i'll gladly respect that policy. Meet me halfway.

THIS CLUB IS NOT SAFE

A man stands in the locker room for 3+hours a day staring at people changing. A big smile comes across his face when he sees "something" he likes. Management has been informed multiple times and are very aware of the situation but do NOTHING. Its been ongoing for at least a year. I'm also contacting the local news stations about it because its so ridiculous especially in a gym with so many CHILDREN

The gym itself has great machines and lots of options for training. I have had really frustrating experiences though:
-The staff working on one of the two massage chairs for over an hour while clients couldn’t use them.
-I’ve also noticed the front desk never answers the phones. I’ve called them probably 4 or 5 times over the time I’ve been a member (things like holiday hours, when is the pool closing, etc.)- they have answered literally once.
-Clients also use shoes frequently in the sauna/steam room which is a little gross
-Hours for classes aren’t the best, when I’m done at work at 5 pm, half the classes I would have liked to go to are already done for the day. It’s also annoying on the app how many times I have to scroll through “pickleball open play” or “adult swim” just to find out what classes they have without the ability to filter. Because of these, there’s like 20 to 30 hourly spots for what are essentially amenities
-The scent in the steam room is pleasant at times but can be aggressive. It literally burns my eyes when the steam is going from how strong it is.
-No one seems to wipe down their machines

Those are all my negatives. My positives:
-The gym is always pretty clean
-The combination of classes is good
-The weights are usually put away
-The pool is amazing

My God…what is WRONG with you? 🤦🏻‍♂️ outdoor water classes with obnoxious music and a loud instructor?? HOW do you come up with so many bad ideas? Leave us in peace! This is a country club not a place to advertise your pathetic classes! So glad I’m canceling my account. Go bankrupt.

Well if you were hoping for a gym experience catered to adults, this is the wrong place. They block the rock wall off to adults even during, what’s supposed to be adult climb. They brought in a group of kids and had me leave…
They made the deep part of the pool shallow so now I’m at waste hight anywhere but the dive side of the lap pool. Thanks so much 🙄
Seriously it’s like they are looking for ways to screw you over.

They finally lowered the volume of the whole gym. Finally my hearing will be protected.
🚨Be careful what you leave in your locker by accident, if consumable, the staff will steal it a use it.

I’m filing complaints with the government and LifeTime corporate unless immediate action is taken.
This facility actively attempts to cause hearing loss. Every class is >75 decibels. They’ve added an open air class where the instructor mic is so high I’m surprised the speaker doesn’t crackle. Noise canceling headphones only lower the sound, it’s far too much sound pollution. I just want to work out in peace.

Fifth review: TURN THE FREAKING MUSIC DOWN! I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR YOUR PLAY LIST! I DO NOT WANT >75 DECIBEL SOUND PRODUCED BY ANY OF LIFETIMES SPEAKERS! FOR THE FITH TIME! KEEP YOUR TERRIBLE SOUND TRACKS DOWN!

Forth review: Decibel levels are slowly creeping back up. They’re hitting 85-90 making it to where I hear the crappy music again over my noise canceling earbuds. Please keep music over the speakers lower. Not only for me but for the health of everyone’s ears. Anything over 75 is detrimental to hearing.

Third review: They fixed the music volume. Thank you all so much! So glad I can listen to my music at a normal volume and not hear random music overlapping it. Thank you! This place is great! Back to 5⭐️

Second review: I don’t know who is in charge of the music but it’s way too loud for a gym! I want to listen to my own music. Not whatever you think is music. That should be background at best not blaring. Ruining the experience.

First review: 5⭐️Doing a great job updating equipment. Excited to see more bar clamps and more chest fly machines added.

I’m giving Lifetime Fitness 1 star because even though I pay $200 a month, I’m not allowed to play pickleball just because I’m under 18. That makes no sense — I’m paying the same as an adult, but not getting the same access? If you’re going to charge teen members full price, then give us full access. It feels super unfair and honestly disappointing. I joined to stay active and have fun, not to be treated like a second-class member.

I joined this location specifically because it offered morning cycling classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday — a schedule that worked with my professional obligations. Without adequate notice or communication, the club has since discontinued both the Monday and Wednesday classes, effectively removing two-thirds of the value that initially justified my membership.

It’s deeply frustrating that I’m expected to give notice to cancel, yet the club feels no obligation to provide notice before significantly changing the services I signed up for. I find that unacceptable.

I came here yesterday to get a tour because a friend of mine told me that not only was the place gorgeous and spacious but the team were incredibly nice. I've been wanting to rehabilitate my strength for a while and wanted a place that took health seriously. Jamison gave me a greatly detailed tour and was patient with me and my questions and concerns. Rachel was lovely in the cafe and tipped me off to the treats and spectacular nutrition forward offerings there. Katy and Kendra in the salon helped answer my questions about the facial they offer new members as well as the other services there. Hayden, the manager, also greeted me with warmth and talked to me about my fitness goals. I'm looking forward to rebuilding my strength after my accident a few years ago. It's been a long road to getting to the point where I can feel like my body can handle movement and training. I'm glad my friend mentioned this place. I'm so excited to start my healing here. Thank you for the lovely tour, folks. I didn't even intend to sign up that day, but after what I experienced, I'd be silly not to. They're educated and care at Life Time. It shows.

I would not let your child signup here. They offer a student membership that’s really hard to cancel. They won’t let you cancel by phone and continue to charge until it’s cancelled on line or in person. AND will try and put it on hold and not cancel and will restart the membership starting in the summer automatically. AND refuse to refund any$$ once discovered. It’s so dishonest.

They have a huge gym to work out in. They have many sport courts, which are pickleball and basketball. They are both inside too! They have pools inside and outside. You can either practice your laps in the lap pool or just play in th big pool. There is a hot tub outside, which is pretty big. Then there's 2 hot tubs inside when you first walk in. There is also a salon for hair and nails. The gym is amazing and has all the things you need to work out. There are a lot of treadmeals and stairclimbers. I would totally recommend going there if you wanna swim or you wanna work out.

Life Time offers a commendable membership experience, particularly with its group classes. The Barre Fusion classes stand out, with Corban delivering exceptional instruction. The Alpha and GTX programs are also noteworthy, although their placement in the middle of the upper level can be somewhat disruptive.

It's evident that pickleball has dominated their marketing efforts, yet there appears to be a lack of competitive drive from the leadership. Despite the staff's dedication, there is noticeable turnover, which may reflect broader organizational challenges. As the sole luxury health club and fitness center in the area, Life Time seems to rely on its market position rather than striving for excellence. A case in point is the longstanding request from members for a cold plunge, which remains unaddressed.

I read the negative reviews and do not agree with them. I've been a lifetime member for over a year now. The staff is friendly, especially the workout instructors. The kids drop off daycare and summer camp is amazing. They offer a variety of activities for the kids. Just to name a few rock climbing, arts and crafts, martial arts, dance, yoga etc and that's just for the drop off. Summer camp does so much more. The kids membership also includes parents night out for 3 hrs every Saturday and some Fridays. Plus you have the indoor outdoor pools which most gyms do not have that. The bathroom and showers come stocked with everything you need. Razors, shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash, lotions just to name a few. Everything is clean and they come around frequently to sweep or put things back in place if a member has not put them back.

Also the price is on par. I paid a over a hundred for orange theory to be able to go 3 days a week with no child care option. Lifetime gym has every class you could think and the best variety of classes. Yes the signature is more but orange theory last year when I looked last year charged $180 for unlimited and they only have one style of class. People know the price up front when they speak to someone at the gym so I'm not sure why people are baffled at the cost.

I'm in Tulsa for work and was excited to experience a different Lifetime other than the OKC one which I go to daily. i have a few requests:
1. Please order towels that are long enough to wrap around a size 36 w/ more than 4" to tuck and secure. i felt like i was wearing a miniskirt w/ a slit. grabbed a couple more to make sure it wasn't a coincidence.
2. Softer lighting in the steam room please. it's brighter than heaven in there.
3. chinese take-out buffet is amazing but not at the gym and def not next to the locker room. fills the entire locker room w garlic and beef aroma. imagine the looks.
4. remove the "founding members" plaques from lockers. we all pay (some more than others) and no one should have special privilege.

otherwise it served its purpose.

I was a Lifetime member for nearly 7 years. Service and cleanliness pre-covid were a 5. Used to be worth the price, but in the last couple of years the weight room has become dirtier and dirtier, equipment constantly out of order, and frequent price hikes. My husband and I reached out to management on multiple occasions through surveys and employees, but they didn't care. When management found out we were leaving Lifetime because of lack of cleanliness and price hikes, he told a trainer "They'll be back after they see every gym is like this."

Management - we WILL NOT be back and we are actively persuading others to leave. Our new gym is always clean and I haven't seen an "out of order" machine yet. Plus, as a bonus, my husband and I are saving $1k/year by switching.

BASKETBALL IS NOT AN OPTION for most of the day. The basketball court is mainly used for other activities and is closed for most of the time. We just joined life time a few weeks ago and have to say that the gym is the cleanest and truly a full service establishment.

They have a full service salon located inside a café, where you can get dozens of grateful deductions to help you stay on track with your health goals. lifetime merch you can buy also

Their facility is equipped with a Rockwall, sauna steam room, heated pools or pools, family rooms, daycare while you work out and several different classes to choose from on a daily basis. Plus you never have to guess your workouts again because their app helps you on your fitness journey.

So I would say that anyone who’s interested in joining it is truly the best bang for your buck.

So instead of operating like any other actual reputable gym and giving a free day pass to potential customers, Life Time charges $40 for such?! That is literally more than most monthly memberships at local gyms. Pretentious, much? Their lowest gym membership starts at $149.... For one person??? I've been in Life Time a few times and while they obviously cater to only the finest snobs in south Tulsa, it really isn't that impressive. At the end of the day, it's still just s gym. Anyone who doesn't have to take off their Polo shirts before working out would get the exact same results for 1/4th of the membership cost.

Parking lot lights have been total off the last two nights - pitch black. Big safety risk - both with hitting someone or getting hit and a perfect opportunity to get mugged. I had a membership with Lifetime for a little over two years. The staff was good, I came in ready for a intense workout every morning with not issues. They have a pool which is nice (indoor & outdoor) and good workout equipment. It is a little pricey, the price is good if you are going to use the pool, basketball court, steam room, yoga room, racket ball ,climbing on a weekly basis. It may not fit the bill if you are only going to use the gym. For me I stopped going here because I was only using the gym and it didn’t make since paying $100+ for a membership. Again , this is a solid gym with a lot of good people who go here, staff is there doing their jobs, I had no complaints. I would recommend this gym for beginners and seasoned workout vets. Beginners will feel comfortable because there are many different things to do. You don’t ever have to deal with intimidation from others working out, I have been in many gyms and we all know it happens. Morning time (5am-10am) is not too packed, there are plenty of open machines, hot tubs aren’t full. Afternoon (1:00-3:00) it’s kind of slow, and evening (4-10) it can get a little busier with everyone getting off work and school, there may not be many machines open, hot tub, pool, basketball court full too. Weekend, basketball court and racket ball are full in the mornings.

Went here for a massage at their spa while on vacation. Not my first time doing so when in town and have always been treated with kindness, professionalism, and walked away feeling the treatment received was some of the best. This visit, I was put with a new therapist who was totally unprofessional treating me like some kind of creep. Instead of leaving with the relief from pain and stress as from massages I received in the past this was a total opposite effect and disheartening to end my vacation with such an experience. I will not return. If you venture to try them, select your therapist carefully.

I literally went gym shopping. I visited almost every gym in Tulsa! I guess I saved the best for last because when I checked out life time I was sold!!!!!!!! And no they didn't pitch a sale to me, I mean I fell in love. It is so spacious and so clean and so much to do! Literally an inside and outside pool. Not to mention the outside pool has a giant water slides. You get everything here, and I mean everything! Yoga!, Jacuzzi's, Cycling, running club, kick boxing, Zumba, weights, pilates, basketball court and it's huge! Inside. Who doesn't love inside basketball man. !
Not to mention there is rock climbing and so so much more. If you can waste your money on cheeseburgers, movies and cable you can afford this place! It's all about priorities. People say it's too expensive but yet they pay more eating out all the time! It's all about how you look at it. And this place is so worth your health and so worth getting out there and being active. ❤️ And the staff are always super helpful and so kind!!!!! ❤️

decent gym. More like a country club to me. Only reason I give 4 stars is I love to enjoy the outside pools! But during summertime they have kids all over like you can't relax at all & reminds me of a community loud pool. So I found pausing my membership until kids back in school & use my own pool until then is best. After family swim ends and kids go back I can relax & enjoy peace outside again in the outdoor pool areas. Otherwise awesome place. Wish they did inform better in email there pool activities thou I never knew and don't. It was great back in 2018 but it got worse when to many young kids / adults started showing up and trying to fight elderly people

Clean convenient location. I’ve been super happy with my membership. I take classes with Mason H, who is energetic and keeps the class fun and motivated. Tracey who teaches Yoga makes the class entertaining and she is so good at what she does. I’ve visited many other gyms and locations and these instructors make this one the best.

Nice gym and good facilities. The indoor and outdoor pools are also good for the membership price.

But it is very annoying that the pools are often cleaned when people are swimming in the water.
I saw this four or five times in the last six months, and today 06-08-22 around 2pm again. All three indoor pools were cleaned at the same time by lifeguards. Four older people and even two kids swam in the water during the pool wall cleaning.
Is this allowed?
What about the hygiene standards?
Cleaning schedule must be posted on the wall and kept!

This place is awesome. The new manager is very personable and fair. Almost every worker here is very nice I’ve been here for many years with very few complaints . *** It has 4 pools , 3 hot tubs , one public sauna plus in the locker rooms another sauna— plus a steam room! The upstairs is gigantic with over 5 rooms for special classes , and several main sections , one with so many machines you can work every muscle in one setting. they have 2 cafes , outdoor and indoor- the outdoor serves alcoholic drinks in the summer for adults and has options for kids as well . There is 2 basketball courts and a rock wall. The place is also super clean , the only exception is the sauna sometimes gets worn but they constantly replace all the wood and scrub under it after periods of time and the steam room is cleaned to the bone two times a day. It may be a bit expensive as it is a luxury gym but it’s not nearly as expensive as a cheap apartment, and totally worth it.

We joined Lifetime just after Christmas. This place is great. We haven't begun to take advantage of the long list of features. So far, just working out on treadmills and the weight machines, which is all great. We go in the middle of the day, and sometimes on the weekend. It has never been too crowded. Highly recommended.

I’ve been to all the gyms in this area and this one is hands down the best. The gym is a very family friendly gym so if you don’t like kids or teens go elsewhere. $175 a month for a family of three is a bit expensive but if you use the gym for what it is and utilize everything they offer it’s well worth the money. We’ve been going to this gym for almost 8 years now off and on but we always came back. The only thing I’d say they need to fix is to take out some of the cardio machines and put in another dumbbell section. Also adding in some more outdoor equipment to their small outdoor setup would be great as well.

The employees are very rude and sketchy. Saw some teenagers being unruly and a nice man asked them to show some respect. One of the employees seemed to be their buddy and he told the man to leave them alone. I was disgusted! I was happy to see someone stand up to them!

I came here mainly for sauna, which wasn't even that great if I'm being honest. The employees can be extremely rude and disrespectful. My Jewish friend ordered a BLT from here once, and the picture I have attatched to this is what they presented him with. That's right! 2 slices of bread with 2 pieces of raw bacon slapped on top. Bone apple tea my friends. I canceled my membership shortly after.

Went there today to do a trial run with someone who is a member. After checking in I was promptly told to make sure I do not come back for at least 60 days. This was the whole conversation I had with the girl at the front. If you want to sell memberships, maybe have them give a tour and show what you are paying for. I did not like the girl treating me like I was just “taking advantage” of the system. I was looking into it but I joined a different gym. The facility is fantastic, staff needs some work. If I was going to pay over $200 per month, I expect to be treated better.

Everyone is extremely attentive, professional, and friendly, making it a pleasant experience from the first step through the door.
All the amenities you could ask for, and enough redundant equipment that you shouldn't have trouble finding a spot even when it's busy. 5/5!

Post pandemic Lifetime Fitness is nothing like the place that existed before. Typically if I have nothing awesome to review about a place I just leave it alone, but the issues here are just a sign of underlying management issues that I’m assuming come from the top, not the actual location.

My number one issue is the constant change in what policies they adhere to and who is going to be enforcing them at what time. What is written on the website is not what is current despite this being brought to their attention months ago. Sounds like minor details but it has to do with membership perks that don’t exist.

Just be extremely cognizant and read their agreement and also question them about it. You will get different answers.

The one thing I looked the other way about over the years is staff friendliness. I really don’t care to be bothered, but after joining another gym I realized that there are small gestures that make people feel appreciated, which Lifetime has never really focused on. In the end it’s a gym behind a strip mall in Oklahoma, being stuck up just doesn’t impress anyone unless they too feel like they are above the rest at their public gym.

We, like many other families, have paid the full membership fee the entire year during COVID, without using the facility hardly at all, in anticipation that things will resume, business as usual, at some point. However, we’ve been incredibly disappointed as COVID restrictions are lifted. They continue to have restricted childcare hours and gym hours. We call ahead to see if the outdoor pool is open and are told yes, only to discover when we get all the way there that it’s not, for no reason whatsoever. There are 6 lifeguards available (that I can see) and numerous disappointed families and they still refuse to open the outdoor pool despite a complete staff and a clear, sunshiny day in late June. It’s ridiculous and not worth the money. They owe each member an apology and a partial refund. They clearly only care about their bottom line.

I have only been going for two weeks now, I love everything they have to offer.

I don’t like crowds so I go when it slows down which is either early in the mornings or later evenings about 6pm to close. All machines are available and there is hardly anyone in the pools.

Based off of some of these concerns and complaints on here, I think I’ll remain on off times because I don’t want my son to see any inappropriate swim attire.

There was one comment about guests…there are some fees associated with bringing guests of 12 and under, 18 and under, and over 18. This information is on their website and also on the front door by the receptionist station…you can’t miss it.

I would just say, educate yourself about the rules and prices before you sign anything. If the staff doesn’t know their own rules and pricing, I would immediately let management know.

Everything has been ridiculously clean, machines are top of the line, they have every machine and weight you could ever dream of, there is plenty of personal space, no judgment kind of place, and again…I’ll stress going on low rush hours, I haven’t gone on busy hours but I can only imagine it might be a little too social or you may have to wait for a specific machine.

My son is 12 and he’s tried it out as a guest, I am thinking about adding him for sure! He loves the pool and is able to do some weights and machines with me. Very cool that we can workout together…other gyms won’t allow this, so this is the biggest perk of all for a single mom! ❤️

I feel sad to say this, because we have loved LIFETIME and have great memories here with our family! The quality and customer service have decreased significantly. Immodest women's bathing suits are allowed at pool which is always full of kids (thong, tonga, g-string). Shower areas in women's locker rooms weren't clean the other night either. Big lack of reaching out to members who signed up online, lack of quality, lack of service, lack of information, and no welcome, and my husband had a very rude and argumentative encounter with a front desk worker. What is happening LIFETIME???

When I took the tour of this place it was clean and employees appeared to be friendly. The sales person was a smooth lier. We asked specifically about the pool and pool rules since we were impressed with the facility for our six year old. He lied to us about her being able to swim with her floaties on. However after being there we found out that you have to stay 10 feet next to her the entire time even while in shallow end of the pool where water was waist high. When talking to management about this and our concerns about being lied to about the rules this is when things went down hill. There was no customer service apologies or anything. Basically told us our membership doesn't matter to them or our comments or concerns. Such a wonderful place ruined by management. Left me with a very bad taste in our mouths. This run in with management ruined or experience we had the 13 days we were members before this. We found out quick that under the glits and glamour you see it comes down to tricking you to get your money even if they have to lie to do it. When you bring it to management attention they rather you end your membership than take care of the issues you bring to there attention. Before today I would recommend this place however now I would say unless you are okay to being lied to and money taken and no actions taken about issues but not caring you leave then this would not be a good fit for you. I would a have been fine with the rules if told up front and question where answered truthfully. However I don't like being lied to just to get us to become members and management is okay with this.

Beautiful gym, tons of equipment, great layout, and the childcare program is BEYOND worth the money. They've got a lot of unique things like a rock climbing wall, which is available for the kids too, multiple pools, the locker rooms are great (you don't need to bring your own lock). Tons of awesome amenities, so there's basically nothing you need. Unfortunately, canceling your add-on's is the most frustrating thing you will ever do in your life. I was offered a month of free swim lessons for my son, but I knew they weren't going to work for us long-term because he'd only be able to go twice a month. They advised to give it a shot and just cancel before the next billing cycle. Sounds good. I mean...it SOUNDED good. When that time comes to cancel your add-on, you go online. There's no option to cancel it online. Okay, I'll do the online chat. Nope, they don't have the ability either. Okay, I'll give the club a call. The person who can help you cancel isn't available. No worries, I'll leave a voicemail. Never get a response. Okay, let me send an email. Never get a response. Okay, I'll just swing by in person. They're not in the office today. Do you know when they'll be in? Nope. Fantastic. So your last ditch effort to cancel a swim class that you added on because it was free initially ends with you having to cancel the entire gym membership and re-enroll at another time. So if you never add on things, you'll be totally okay. Great gym, people are okay, lots of super awesome amenities, but those little extras will drive you crazy.
