Unfortunately Google makes me give at least one star, otherwise I’d be giving 0! The owner of this gym is a greedy, money grubbing, jerk, really…my husband and I signed up, and very much enjoyed the gym, and the few times we were able to work out there, unfortunately a series of medical emergencies and situations outside of our control-we were forced to move 1400 miles away, to montana, with 2 weeks notice. Not in the plan, and certainly not expected after just joining a new gym. We called immediately, and let them know we had to be gone and moving within 6 days, and needed to terminate our membership, mind you-still in the very first month of joining, the kid said he’d talk to the owner, but it should be no problem. Jump a few days later-called again to confirm-and were assured-due to the situation we were in, they went ahead and canceled the membership, thankfully, we were very grateful for the kindness and understanding…but not for long, since my card has been charged again for a membership I’m not using! They never canceled it. Upon reaching out to the gym again, we were told pretty much “too bad, you signed a contract” and to pay them $125 to cancel, or continue to be billed the monthly fee. I’m a 30 year veteran of customer service, and I’m disgusted having been treated this way by a small business in the great community of Owasso. It’s not buyers remorse, it’s not having a change of heart for the gym-it’s LITERALLY THAT I MOVED 1400 miles away, and felt a little grace is due in my situation, but nope, this guy needs the money so bad he’s not willing to compromise, or reach an agreement. DO NOT go to this gym if you have any choice, you will be treated better anywhere else you go, I recommend Obtain strength in Tulsa, whom I also had a membership with, and they were so so wonderful when the time came to live and cancel! This place is a joke, and the owner is unreasonable, and not the kind of business owner I want in my community, Owasso is friendly, family oriented, and a great place to live, this bad seed isn’t Owasso worthy.

I was there for 4 days. My father is terminally I'll and I had to move out of state. They refused to cancel the contract even though it was for a terminally I'll family member. I was literally there for 4 days
They want 125 dollars and proof I moved. Currently 125 isn't possible.

What can I say about this place...I feel at home when I come here. There's no pressure, I don't have to wait to get on any machines, the owner is absolutely wonderful, probably the greatest experience I have ever had at a gym. It's where My wife and I go and will continue to go because of the hospitality and comfortability. Love this place and so grateful for them being here. I have been trying to get in touch with them for days due to money still getting taken out of our account even though the membership is cancelled and absolutely no one will answer. Messages, voicemails, and crickets…. It would be something if I moved gyms but I moved hours away. Shame on y’all.

Edit: after owner commented, went to double check there has been any form of communication tried on their end and there has not been anything towards my phone number or email.

Edit again: the owner or manager called to make fun of me to my husband, that’s I’m pretty sure the first rule of how to be professional.

Ive been going to this gym for several years now. It has all the equipment you need.
Recently, I’ve been training with a personal trainer, Corey, twice a week for almost a month and a half now. I can say that I have seen progress in my physique and in strength. As long as you put forth the effort, he’ll get you to where you want to be.

I dont like the big box gyms. Love the more low key feeling Optimal has! Its got everything you need, kept clean, and in working order.
You need a personal trainer, who can also do nutritional consulting for you? I recommend Corey Curtis. He will put you to work, but as long as you’re willing to work and follow his personalized diet plans, you will start getting the results you’ve been looking for!

Optimal is my favorite gym in Owasso and they have some great trainers to help. Corey Curtis has had a huge influence on getting some of my family in shape and their health back on track through his training and nutrition programs. He’s a “no B.S.” and to the point, kind of trainer with a lot of knowledge about anatomy and physiology. 10/10 would recommend!

I don’t write too many reviews, but I had to for this gym. I am currently in from out of town for a funeral and happened upon Optimal Fitness. YOU NEED TO GO HERE. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The gym has all the equipment you need for strength and conditioning. As someone who is a gym rat, I loved that they have all the Hammer Strength machines I needed, weight racks, dumbbells, and cable attachments. This gym is clean and well maintained unlike many other gyms in the area. AND the atmosphere is AWESOME. I cannot say enough good things about this gym! I will be recommending this place to any family and friends in town & will come get my workout in here whenever i’m in town visiting family!

Honestly a great gym and amazingly ran. Left old gym because owner never took care of the place. Optimal owner and management team really does take care of the place. I’ve been here 7 months and it’s always clean, and anytime something breaks it’s replaced or fixed within a day. Dozens of barbells and a great place for powerlifters like me, strongmen, casual lifters, and anyone else wanting to lift.10/10 appreciate the guys running the place there.

This is a great place to go and work out. It's owned by a husband and wife who are there daily during the week. Along with another employee. I've only had very minor trouble with the regulars there over the several years I've been going to this gym. The only problem really is that the gym is relatively small for the amount of people that go. So you may need to plan to go at certain times during the day when the crowd dies down.

The equipment is worn but well maintained. They have also done charity lifting here before and it's just got a good feeling when you step in.

Just moved to Owasso from Texas. This is the coolest, old school gym in the Owasso area that I’ve found.

Decent locker rooms. True 24/7 access. Temp is nice and warm, not an ice box like some gyms.

Cardio
Arc trainers, elliptical machines, step mills, c2 rowers, battle ropes....great variety.

Weights
Hammer strength equipment, 2 full sets of dumbbells up to 125lb. Several benches and squat racks. A deadlift platform with a jack. Not many Texas power barbells but some decent quality bars.

Gym has a great atmosphere and vibe. I loved it! I didn't join because of the pricing structure. They still do contracts...the kind that keep you stuck if you move 25 miles away and if you move more than 30, you can get out of the contract with a $125 fee. Been working out at gyms for 24 years and I haven’t had to sign a contract in years and prefer to pay in full to get discounts. Unfortunately it’s $40/month for a membership without a contract. In my 24 years of training at many gyms, this type of gym should be priced closer to $100-$200/year paid in full. My membership at Metroflex “the castle” Gym in Fort Worth was $200 for 2 years paid in full.....it puts this gym to shame.

I didn't join because of the pricing structure and don't want to support that old school business model.

It’s way better than the Y or 10gym. There’s another cool gym up near Collinsville but I want something closer to south Owasso.

I joined Obtain Strength in Tulsa, definitely worth the drive if you are serious about your training. Better facility, pricing structure doesn't require contracts and they offer a nice paid in full discount. I also joined Owasso180 gym and highly recommend it, owner is awesome!

Went here for one summer a few years ago. Came back, price went up to where it was outrageous compared to other gyms. I pay $15/month at a different gym with a first responder discount, regular is $30/month. Optimal was $50/month last time I checked. No thanks. The equipment is top notch though, I'll give it that. Used to be several negative reviews on here regarding the atmosphere of the gym...where did they go? Interesting. Anyway, if you're serious about lifting and want the best equipment, and price isn't a concern, this may be the best gym. But for the average Joe, probably not. $50 a month, or whatever it is now, is not competitive with the rest of the market.

Im in the gym Monday through Friday and they have everything you could want. I cant remember one time that I had to wait on a machine. In the front they have independent moving arms for when I dont have a spot. There is two sets of dumbells; so your never waiting for a set, as well as double of every cable machine. The staff is always helpful and I get the supplements that I need all in the same place. If ther owner dosent have what you want he is good about either getting it or something that is comparable. All in all its everything I need in a gym and more as I can tan for free, use the suana, or take a shower when I go on my lunch brake. Big time gym with the small town feel. (Everyone is friendly) Thought I should clear up the small town comment.
