This gym is the place to be. The location is convenient, the membership is on the cheaper side and the hours are not bad. They may not work for some but they fit my schedule
like a glove. Not only that but the staff is friendly and welcoming (Bree and T are a select few) and this location stays pretty clean.

They think Fanny packs are a “safety hazard” (not the tripping kind) now. When I canceled - because that’s absurd- the lady got really upset and was rude. She asked me unnecessary questions and made several statements like “all the other gyms have this policy” until I finally told her to hurry up. She threw a tantrum because I didn’t accept their policy and no longer wanted to listen to her rhetoric. I’ve actually seen nicer porta potties compared to her. Maybe it’d be better to prevent “hazards” from entering your building before enforcing erroneous policies to paying members.

I've been going to Planet Fitness for about two weeks now after a bad experience with another gym. The staff is great and available for assistance. There is a variety of equipment available. Black card membership isn't too high and gets you access to the massage, hydromassage, tanning and red light therapy. The training is free for black card members and Bailey is very knowledgeable and experienced in the training. I would recommend Planet Fitness to anyone.

I visited this Planet Fitness about 10 months ago and noticed something that felt a bit out of place. While using the weight machines, I saw a woman a few stations down take off her shirt, leaving only a sports bra. In my opinion, that kind of behavior isn’t appropriate for a public gym environment. There should be signs posted reminding members about modesty and proper gym attire. It would also be helpful if staff occasionally reinforced these guidelines. If someone feels overheated, it’s better to take a short break, cool down, and then resume their workout.

One of their employees, Syndney, gave me excellent customer service. I had gone to the gym on 89th and Western to sign up and got no customer service. They expected me to do all of the work. Sydney actually helped me enter in all the information. She gave me a tutorial on the app that Planet Fitness uses. It was such a delight to get such good customer service. Thank you.

I had the membership for over a year and half. The staff are very kind and nice. The downside is that, they don't have a regular barbell bench press setup, You are forced to do your workouts on Smith machines instead, which restricts movement and doesn't let you have your natural movement.
It's such a shame for almost a perfect gym.

Been coming here for 6 months and have enjoyed it so far. The equipment is clean and the team makes sure accessories and pads get changed out after showing wear.

Chloe does a great job cleaning equipment and the facility.

Anthony always has a great attitude and is a pleasure to be around.

My only gripes would be the “30 minute workout” area. It hardly gets used and would be beneficial to have different types of equipment in that area that the gym is lacking.

If i could give this place 0 stars i would, on 9/5/2024 i purchased a PF membership , ( i have never been) i decided to go to the club, to ask questions and get familiar with the machine, chair massager, tanning, ect, i scanned my membership, instead when i walked in, waited around for 5 minutes there was 3 staff total at the from when i arrived, NO ONE greeted me or asked me if i wanted a tour of the gym or if i had any questions, i got ignored, while the manager was talking to some one on their way out talking out their old high school teachers when im in-front of them trying to ask a question, i had to apologize for interrupting the conversation when I needed help, which i wouldn’t have cared if someone would have assisted me, out of the 3 staff members sitting around on their phones, I had asked him if they still gave out the card that you put on your keychain to scan, he then got a rude tone of voice & asked me how I got in the gym and i told him i had scanned it, he just looked at me like i was an idiot, didn’t answer my question at all, i am very disappointed with this location & customer service especially since it was my first day attending the club and getting my membership, i felt unwelcome, i will NO longer be attending this gym, due the the rude & unprofessional customer service staff, people who work in customer service should be customer focused, polite & helpful, i received the complete opposite, hopefully another location knows how to treat their customers, i also have to say, he was not wearing PF customers service attire, and was at the front scanning cards and right after i finished talking to him he went to take his shirt off and work out on the machine, and he was on the clock because when someone would walk in he would go behind the desk and assist them, meanwhile everyone else is on their phone. If I could give less than 1 star I would. I have been a black card member for several years now and recently moved from Keller, TX to Norman, OK. I noticed that this location was staffed by incredibly unprofessional folks from the minute I walked in but hoped it would not be an issue. It was not until today.
I had just finished working out and went to the mens locker room to use the bathroom. There was a sign out front of the locker room saying there was a team member inside. When I walked in there was a young lady standing there on her phone by the sink area. I walked around the corner where I was not in her sight to use the urinal when she began yelling at me and berating me for attempting to use the restroom while she was in the locker room. I apologized and said I assumed she would walk out when I and another member walked in to use the restroom. She did not and continued berating me in front of the other young man. Her name is Chloe and evidently she is the assistant manager. When I went to the front desk to complain to her manager, Jen, she treated me with absolute indifference and immediately defended her employee. I asked "Is this how you treat your members based on a simple misunderstanding?" To which she just stood there silently. I informed her and Chloe, that part of their job is customer service and asked why she didnt just walk out of the bathroom when she saw more than guy walk in to use it?? Why berate me so loudly and yell at me like I was a child. I am twice this teenage girl's age and was completely disrespected. I will never return to this location and am canceling my membership immediately.

Hands down the cleanest gym I have ever been to. Every time i go, I see multiple staff members cleaning. All the staff I have encountered are super friendly. Reggie definitely goes above and beyond with customer service, and I have never seen him not smiling. Even in the month of January, the crowds are small, and I have never had to wait for equipment. lots of equipment choices, with multiples of popular equipment. I have multiple gym memberships, and pt blows my small town gym out of the water, I drive an extra 20 minutes to work out at pt most days. If I had to put down a negative, it would be the gym is not 24 hrs, and I'm not a fan of the calf machine (so dumbbell calfs it is)

The gym itself is clean and accessible. However, the managerial side is horrible. I went in cancelled service before leaving to an other state. Only for them to take out over 200 more unauthorized. They inform me it’s not cancelled; whatever spoke to the manager told them to keep the money it would pay off months ect but my account would be cancelled. Today I get a call from a collection agency saying they sent another bill for $123 and after calling they tell me my account still active! Horrible! Go to crunch or somewhere else.

This location is pretty far out in Norman. Been going here for about two months. They are a very good starting gym. It is a small building and is mostly cardio focused. They have lots of machines, with some being more maintained than others. They don’t offer any kind of military discount, and they want a $50 annual fee after your second month. Also, the app checkin suddenly stopped working for me a few weeks ago, which is one of the primary reasons I cancelled my membership. If you want a decent starter gym, this is alright. Just be wary of the contract they have you sign.

What a pleasant place to work out! I am a 65+ person who loves the energy provided by the mix of people you see at this gym. I usually am there between 8 and 10 am so it isn't too crowded that there are long waits to use the machines. A highly recommend Planet Fitness as a place to get in the weight-bearing exercises we all need as we get older. On the plus side, the Black Card membership allows you to use other Planet Fitness gyms as you travel. I've used PF gyms in NC, FL, OH and PA and the one in Norman is the nicest one - in my opinion.

It’s a decent gym, but I have issues with their sketchy billing. Had a normal membership with them until my workplace offered a corporate membership which allows me to have a free basic membership at their gym. I went in and gave them the new information and updated the plan. They then continued to charge me the normal membership rate for 3 months, and when I asked him about it, they pretended like they never even heard what I was talking about. I am getting double charged for a gym membership and staff told me I was SOL (my wording, not theirs) and just come back next week to talk with someone else.

I’m recovering from leg surgery and come in with a Walker. 90 percent of staff is super friendly and helpful!! It’s always well stocked and very clean! Equipment is in great shape and easy to use! I was a member at this fitness club in Norman, Oklahoma. I joined the Black Card program but later reduced my membership to the regular plan because I wasn't going very often at all. I'm 70 years old. I wasn't told that I had to pay $53+ every year! I was run through the program verbally not knowing I had to pay this $53+ every year!!! I canceled my membership on May 1st when they charged my account the $53+. Then I found my contract and yes, I had signed it so I did not stop payment and called this gym the next day to reinstate my membership. We canceled it over the phone and contract states to cancel in person which was good for me BUT they informed me that I had to pay another $53+!!! SERIOUSLY!!!!
SO, ACTUALLY MY CONTRACT WAS NOT PROPERLY CANCELED!!! IT WAS DONE OVER THE PHONE AND NOT IN PERSON!!!! CONTRACT STATES CANELLATIONS MUST BE DONE IN PERSON!!! I DID NOT SIGN A CANCELATION LETTER THEREFORE I SHOULD NOF BE CANCELED!!!
One of the employees told me that he'd get with management and call me back. It's been over a week and I have yet to hear from them!!! Bad business practice for sure!!! I believe out off over a year membership with Planet Fitness, I've gone there about 6 times! The personnel thre are great BUT their policy and procedures are horrible in my case! I could have stopped the $53+ transaction at the bank but was trying to be fair since I did sign the contract!
