This gym is dirty, don't know why, are they short staffed or employees are being lazy, I don't hardly see anyone vacuuming the floor or wiping down the machines
8/9 follow up on my comments from last month 1)nothing has been done about the mislabeled of weights on the cable fly machine 2) the free weight rack also needs to have labels too otherwise people just re-rack the weights anywhere there's an empty spaces, very unorganized 3)I still see people come in to work out with wearing flip -flop, again please enforce your rules, one of these days someone will get his/her toes crushed by the weights

UPDATE 7-22-2025:

Removed a star after they dismantled the circuit apropos of nothing.

Not for lack of space either. Now certain machines are stacked right next to each other while sections are empty or under utilized.

What little that has circuit analogues on the floor is now overly complicated with seat adjustments being a wheel instead of a horizontal slider; the weight modifier is a PITA but at least easy to reset.

I assume if I keep coming here for another year or two (10+ across locations/states), it'll be down to 1 star.

I’ve been to multiple gyms across the us and today I received the worst customer service ever. The lady didn’t want to come check me in and instantly gave me attitude when I told her I was a remote check in . I was polite and even after she grabbed the manager who has always giving great customer service I brought up her rude attitude and she continued it directly infront of him. Continued to talk even as I walked away. I get some people have bad days but some just don’t need to be in customer service absolutely terrible! I even took the time to write this before my workout. Won’t recommend this spot to any one go to a different location!

I’ve been a member of the black card planet fitness for over 5+ years now. For the first time ever the manager tried to charge me for one of those wink eye protections. I called up 3 other different locations and they said they’ve never heard of that policy. First time I’ve thought about canceling my membership.

Edit: In response to Planet Fitness, I know each club have their own different policies. The manager at that location told me that the extra fee charge was going to be enforced at every location which was a lie. I called up corporate and many other locations that have never heard of that policy. The manager never even returned my request for a phone call. That manager needs to be retrained and stop giving false information.

The men’s showers have visible black mold growing in the corners and in the grout between tiles. The new shower curtains they put up don’t fit and makes me feel very uncomfortable since they don’t offer any real privacy. Not all men like to be naked around other men. Please do something about this.

Nice place. Nice location. Plenty of space and fairly updated new equipment. Does not have the traditional arc trainer or the new modified arc trainer, so takes a little ding for that since I have a personal preference for that particular cardio machine. Rockbot selection is great! Staff is curteous and friendly, could spend a little more time on the floor cleaning. Parking lot is a little shady, but there is also a dollar tree next to it, so that’s convenient. I would definitely select this location aid I were a local.

Had back injury a year and a half ago non dislocated fracture absolutely the worst injury I’ve ever sustained and I’m 57 so that says a lot. I was bed bound for a while excruciating back spasms. I’ve been a black card member for over 8 years. During my year and a half time off from planet fitness recovering I still paid my membership fees until after about 8-9 months then I froze my account. So my account got unfrozen and not realizing it because I was no longer using the card they had on file I accrued 2 months payment along with late fees. I called twice asking to speak with manager to explain situation and see if they might be able to waive any part of my debt. My second attempt to try and speak with manager I was put on hold until some young girl asked how she could help me I said I’m holding waiting to speak with a manager. She said I can help you with your account you don’t need to speak with a manager. Foolishly I explained my whole situation again to be told absolutely nothing would be waived and that she didn’t care how long it’s been since I’ve used facility and compared it to renting an apt and that a landlord didn’t care how much time you spent at your apt that you still had to pay the rent. Well this isn’t renting an apt which would keep the apt from being rented by someone else totally unreasonable comparison. I get that I still owe the dues whether I go once a month or everyday it doesn’t matter and over the past 8 years there were a few months here and there that I didn’t make it in I still paid my membership I’m only asking now because of the circumstances and to really add to frustration after being denied (which apparently is a great privilege I didn’t deserve) to speak with manager twice and this girls attitude, after I told her ok well thank you and you have a good day and I’ll either be in to pay or cancel my membership she literally raised her voice and said sir! sir! you still have to pay even if you cancel your membership! Wow I feel like such a valued customer! If I would have been treated differently and actually been able to speak with a manager and a manager politely told me they would not be able to help me I would not be leaving this review.

The location on Northwest Expressway is the nicest location I’ve been in. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The equipment is well maintained and I’ve never had to wait to use the equipment that I want since there is plenty of options to use. The women’s locker room is always clean. I’ve been to a lot of gyms and Planet Fitness is by far the best one I’ve visited.

So been coming in here for two years never had an issue, I wait for a bench machine to open up, grab a couple of free weights and do all my work outs then leave. The staff never had said anything or told me this was an issue. Till today I'm not sure if it was a new staffer but she approached me in the middle of my set and said they were "busy"and she has to take the free weights back. I ask why is this an issues all she simply told me if that they were "busy" and they need to be put back. Now the gym was not busy and there were plenty of other free weights other gym goers could use. Now I understand gym courtesy however i wait like everyone else for equipment to be free up. Why I was single out for doing this is very unprofessional by this staff member.

I can say they really have changed to a point where i canceled my membership. As a black card member for 4 or 5 years, they won't give out key tags to check in. They require a downloaded app which is inconvenient. Also the card reader would not run my card as credit and they wanted me to put in my pin which I haven't had to do ever since I've been a member. I'm going to crunch fitness due to their lack of quality customer service.

Just signed up yesterday morning. The guy up front was very useful! Very friendly!!! Which is rare because most people hate their jobs. All machines were clean there wasn’t any funky smell. For it being a gym I’m glad it didn’t smell bad. Lots of machines , tried the tanning bed for the first time ever that was cool.

Been to several others across the country traveling because I like the consistency of the machines. This one in Okc has the most well maintained machines of them all. The manager is omnipresent. Dont know when he sleeps. Staff is 85% good. Some are very good. Would not go anywhere else

There's a guy by the name of Carlos or Curtis that works there that is very unprofessional and also it was supposed to be a female manager named Denise the issue that I was having was very easy to solve but these two individuals were very rude starting with Carlos or Curtis and then Denise was supposed to be the manager and she hung up in my face customer service is really bad and Denise said that there is no one else over them I believe she's lying 🤥

I love PF. It's casual, clean, low key, and the staff is nice. Always plenty of open machines and I never feel weird or self conscious. It's the gym for normal people. Nobody is videoing themselves lifting for Instagram, but there are lots of seniors and out of shape middle aged guys like me.

they keep the a/c on full blast and the fans full blast. I mean I get it they don’t want people to be hot. But honestly I don’t want to be cold either. Besides it’s very counterintuitive to what I’m trying to accomplish. I left yesterday and the sniffles (first time in years) and it’s a direct result of running on a treadmill while cold a/c and fans are blowing on me. Now when I go, I make sure I get as far away from those cold blowers as possible.

I LOVE THE GYM on NW Expressway. Most of the staff are great, however one IS NOT. Denise I pray for YOU!!! Maybe if you weren't so hateful to me before even knowing me, you wouldn't have charged me twice for one month. (When my payment was already made!)

Tanning Booth #5. The photos speak for themselves! Absolutely DISGUSTING! No spray to clean! Regardless, this is unacceptable! Do employees EVER check these? These have not been checked or cleaned for quite some time! Timer messed up. Shut off after 3 minutes. Reset & I was in there for 12 minutes. Probably bulbs need replaced too! Staff was friendly when I arrived. I told them of the filthy condition of the tan booth. And that the shower smelled like stagnant water. They nodded, in acknowledgment. So here you have it.

Update 6/11/2024: I DID email planet fitness at the email noted in Planet Fitness’s reply/response to my negative review. It would appear that the concern over the filthy tanning booth & stagnant smelling shower, was only to appear concerned to those who see my review. I received NO response from my email what-so-ever ! None! Needless to say my membership has been cancelled! To PLANET FITNESS, don’t request I reach out via email & then do absolutely nothing when I do. I want to make the public aware that you’re apparently not as concerned as you should be over the disgustingly, filthy tanning booth.

They have a no bullying policy. No negative words are too he spoken about another person's body and if I might suggest nobody also ought to speak ill of their own. The staff is awesome they offer trainers as part of the gym service and they will listen to what you are wanting for your body and health and teach you what you need to know to get that taken care of.

They have a free pass program this summer for high school children that starts June 8 and ends September I don't remember when,. You can sign up for free online, if you are a student you need your parent's permission via email I believe.

Until further notice it doesn't appear that they treat their employees any kind of way and this is favorable!

If you ebt to dead lift without the aide of security features they do not offer that but you can still the necessary training with their equipment you just can't bounce the weights off the ground like you would in a dead lift.

They do have televisions over their treadmills. It's a good place.

I want to put a warning out there for planet fitness members. There was recently a transgender man in a planet fitness locker, women’s locker room, a woman, and the 12-year-old girl complained about having a man in their locker room Planet fitness canceled her membership so beware of planet fitness
