My experience of the Stillwater planet fitness. Was not so good. I was in town for the next 3 to 4 hours. I go in to work out keep in mind. I have a classic membership in a different town. I just wanted to inform people that it's a 21 dollar fee for a day pass, (that's more than 2 months of the classic membership price).So when you don't have the black card membership, and you want to work out not at your home club, but in different towns, I recommend you have a black card membership. There's no discounts whatsoever with the classic membership in stillwater, Oklahoma's planet fitness.

I used to love PF and used them for years until I tried to transfer home gyms and someone accidentally cancelled me... then 2 accounts for me popped with my ex's last name and maiden name or some locations wouldn't pull me up at all like I didn't exist as a client yet was getting billed my monthly and annual fees. How I found this all out was I have a random charge of $101 (I was not behind on payment) popped up in my bank account. No one could tell me what it was for and it took almost two months for someone to tell me what the issue was with my account, so apparently, I had been CANCELLED for 1.5 years but was still getting charged my monthly and annual fees IDK how, then once I called and finally got a hold of a manager who could help I Closed my account and disputed the $101 transaction with my bank just for it to be denied and reversed so I was forced to pay an unknown bill. Not happy. Won't return.

Planet fitness had one of the biggest and more dangerous data britches in history, the fact that they ask you for your bank account is very very dangerous, if they only ask for your card, if something happens, you can change your card, but having your bank account information is very very dangerous, not even Netflix asks for that kind of information.
I may sound like a Karen, but I have seen people suffering because of data britches, because they lose money because they play with their accounts, not being able to finish the university because of lack of funds.
So more than a place to do exercise , knowing that they have already several lawsuits, because they sell your information, and also they had major data britches, is a no-brainer for me not to even get close to this place.

I used to love this gym! The new changes are awful, though. They took out the guided workout area, along with the legs and abs room. The set up is so awkward now. All the strength machines are set to where you’re directly facing someone else and/or are RIGHT in front of the cardio machines. Who wants to do crunches when someone is literally six inches away, jogging toward you? It’s so uncomfortable.

Review for Stillwater, OK location.

This is the first time in my life that I have been a member of a gym. I am a 50 yo woman who never found exercising enjoyable. I have to say that this has been a wonderful experience! I have joined the PF Black card Club and even though it's a 30 minute drive one way to the gym I do it several times a week because I actually enjoy going! Planet Fitness has top of the line equipment. The equipment all looks new, if not... Very well cared for. All the equipment has a photo of what part of the body you'll be benefiting. Also photo of how to use it. ALSO!... QR codes that you can easily scan from your planet fitness app and watch a short video of how to use it. Seldom do I leave lengthy reviews but I like to give credit was for credit is due to. So we're getting to the end of my review, & as you can tell by now I highly recommend planet fitness! I've been very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility, the availability of equipment (I've never had to wait to use any equipment), membership pricing, all the different things the facility has to offer (Total Body Enhancement, tanning, massage chair's, HydroMassage, free fitness training and last but certainly NOT least... Every employee I have had contact with at my home Club in Stillwater Oklahoma, has been incredibly helpful! They never acted like they were being bothered. They are eager to answer questions, in full detail & incredibly friendly! The employees can make or break a club, in my opinion. The men & womenin the Stillwater club MAKE that location!

One of the only reasons i have this membership is for ths tanning beds but of course they are down every other day and half the bulbs dont work in most of them then they take 50 from me for annual fees use that money to fix the gym

It has been 4 years later and I am finally done with this place. Today we quit, all five of my crew canceled and walked out the door. The floors are filthy and/or the staff hasn't literally pour 2 gallons of BROWN water then scrub it in and let it evaporate. There will be tripping hazards soon where the seams of the floor have popped. The machines are breaking and no one seems to care. The televisions are broken. The clock on the wall is way off. Years ago I stopped paying for the Black Card because the perk machines are almost always broken and in the time frame I paid for the black card, less than 1/3 of the time they had a trainer available. But the recent staff's bias and rudeness with management blessings was the final straw. Management is encouraging if not requiring a hostile atmosphere. Good bye PF. Follow your own damn rules.

If you want to do any body weight work or yoga, you will get filthy and may sprain something. In the last week I was told that my mat was "outside equipment" and not allowed, but the floors have hair and sand and the provided mats are for kids. Unless you are 3'6" you won't get both your hands and feet on it. They are also tapered and absorptive...concentrated H2O2 affects my face in a child's pose. Not allowing mats, especially during COVID is ridiculous. I just want a clean stable surface.

Otherwise the Covid requirements are good. The staff is always masked as are most of the patrons unless they are deep in the work out as allowed so not every work out is a stress test. Thanks for that.

The USB outlets, which are often rusted and non-functional, can be replaced or repaired to provide a better experience. I’m also inspired to share my concerns about the recent incident at another location, where a member passed away in a tanning bed and wasn’t discovered for three days. This tragic event highlights the importance of prioritizing hygiene protocols and ensuring that staff members are empowered to take charge of cleaning and maintaining the equipment. When I signed up my boyfriend for a free trial, we were incorrectly informed that he would have to pay to cancel, which I believe is a miscommunication that can be easily resolved. Another issue that arose was with my locker, which was opened after 24 hours, leaving my purse unsecured. I’m confident that implementing a more secure system for storing members’ belongings would greatly enhance the overall experience. I’m also excited to share my thoughts on the entertainment options available at the gym. While I understand that Fox News is a popular channel, I believe it’s essential to recognize that it can be a source of misinformation and distress for some members. I envision a more inclusive and relaxing environment, where members can focus on their well-being without being exposed to potentially divisive content. The eye protection provided for tanning and red-light therapy is inadequate, and I believe it would be beneficial to offer goggles or other protective eyewear to ensure members’ safety. If a free trial is offered, I believe it’s essential to ensure that customers aren’t charged and that cancellations are quick and easy to process through the app. I envision a more streamlined and user-friendly system, where members can easily manage their accounts and cancellations without having to visit the location in person. This would not only enhance the overall experience but also reduce frustration and unnecessary costs. Finally, I’m requesting a refund for myself, my boyfriend, and the friends I signed up, and I’m confident that by working together, we can resolve these issues and create a more positive and empowering environment for everyone. Switched to Planet Fitness from Shape for my last month in Oklahoma.

Would have rated 5 stars even though the showers are lukewarm until somebody flushes the toilet and you get 5 seconds of genuine warmth (Edmond showers are noticeably warmer and almost reach hot).

I took a shower on February 21st and noticed a piece of hairy tape sitting on the soap dispenser.

Took a shower Friday after my workout and noticed the same hairy tape sitting on the soap dispenser.

Then I noticed it again Monday.

And it is still there on Wednesday February 28th.

For at least a week the same hairy (probably moldy at this point) tape has not moved from right on top the soap dispenser at eye level.

My first day i wasn't sure how to check in and how to check in with my free guest pass that comes with my membership. And the employee was very helpful. The machines are easy to operate. Weight machines have directions on the side. Plus they have cleaning stations all over the gym so you can clean the equipment before and after use . Also it was my first day and I couldn't figure out a machine and a nice gentleman showed me the ropes lol

They called me out in front of everyone there to tell me I couldn’t grunt while lifting a 300lb deadlift!!
But none of their other policies were being enforced that are listed on their customer service website. I have been going for over two years to this gym lost over 100 pounds and I’ve never had anybody confront me about my workout or my style of workout especially the sound that I make.
As a customer, I would’ve treated the whole situation a lot different than publicly Embarrassing me!

I was in Stillwater visiting a friend for the weekend. She took me with her to PF to try the massage chairs because she is a black card member. After filling out the registration we were told guests are not allowed to use the massage chairs. Very disappointed and the employee at the desk was not very friendly about it. He acted like he was not happy to be at work at all.

The gym is excellent. I gave it 4 stars because I've been paying for the black card membership so I can use the tanning beds. The lay down bed has had multiple bulbs out for several months.
