**The good stuff:**
✅ The gym is open 24/7, which is super convenient.
✅ They’ve got top-of-the-line Arsenal equipment and a solid variety of machines — two types of leg presses, two kinds of hack squats, and three types of heavy-duty row machines.
✅ There are multiple squat racks.
✅ I also like that they use steel plates and the staff is friendly and helpful.

**The not-so-good stuff:**
❌ Honestly, the price feels steep — \$40–\$60 a month — especially when other gyms offer similar or even better equipment for less.
❌ There are only two locations, and you can’t just pay your membership in full upfront; they bill you biweekly and even tack on a yearly fee (which feels unnecessary).
❌ A lot of the machines — including the squat racks — aren’t bolted down, which doesn’t feel very safe.
❌ There are only a 2 flat bench, 1 incline and 1 decline bench so you may end up waiting during busy times.
❌ If you ever need to cancel or get a refund, good luck — it’s a headache. And if you miss a payment or block them at the bank, they might even send it to collections.

**Bottom line:**
It’s a decent gym with excellent equipment and friendly staff, but the pricing and policies make it hard to recommend at full price. If they improved the safety and made the membership more straightforward, it could easily be a 4 or 5-star experience.

I have to leave a positive review! I have been going here for years. There are people of all levels who come here - you will be comfortable no matter your fitness experience! The front desk, trainers, and managers are all very kind! I recommended a piece of equipment off hand one day and a few weeks later they had it! This gym really does have…. Basically everything you’d want in a training facility. Top notch space!

Do not join this gym. They are liars and will turn you into collections if you cancel your membership. I made sure to ask them when I joined if it would be okay to cancel in a few months because I was trying to buy a house and relocate. They told me there would be no penalty. I went by there in person three different occasions at various times and there was never anyone at the desk to help me cancel my membership. I also spoke to someone on the phone after this twice and told them to cancel. They are liars and crooks! They turned me into collections for $591.00 and I can count on one hand how many times I actually went to this disgusting place.

Money racket. Tried canceling multiple times. They are in the process of getting me for 600.00 for a service I did not use. That's how they are affording to keep the doors open. I would warn anyone that was looking for a gym, not another collections account, to not go. It's not worth it.

Peak is by far the best gym in Shawnee, from the top notch equipment, to the friendly staff. Ive never felt judged inside and everyone i have met there is super nice. Even when it’s busy you never feel cramped inside. The 24/7 feature is also wonderful i can always go workout whenever i feel like it. The switch to this gym is 110% worth it.

While I have always believed in a good program, Peak Fitness delivered what I expected. I needed a jump start, Kelli was great and tough, that is what I needed. She pushed me in the right direction.
I was a bit put off, when I did not proceed with the training, and pay the "extra" fees to continue, I felt a bit "unwelcomed".... I felt my last day of my results, report were all good, I decided, that I really didn't want to spend the extra "$" a month, it was like, "well that you here's your results, see you later."
Like "you can go now".

I'm 60+ years old. This is my first time to work out at a gym. I joined a 6 week program that works out with a personal trainer three times a week for 45 minutes.

Summer, the trainer, is fabulous. She tailors each work out to meet the needs and restrictions of each person in the group.

Stay away from these thieves. We started an account, did not sign up for a long term account. Instead we were willing to pay the higher amount but still have the auto draft. After canceling cause their prices were too high for how little they offered they charged us one more time for a two week period then charged another 120 for early termination, but we did not sign a long term contract so we were not supposed to be charged anything else. Called them for our money but nothing. We turned them over to our fraud department with our credit card company and have turned them into Consumer protection board. I won’t stop until I get my money back.

Best gym I’ve been to! Kept very clean, the staff is always walking around making sure it stays that way. They offer all different equipment and many machines most gyms wouldn’t have. There is also tanning booths, a sauna and showers that are all available with your membership. They also have really good protein shakes and vending machines with every drink you could think of! If you are wanting to find a gym this locally owed one is the best!

Got a membership here and have gone every day since. Unlike to other choices in Shawnee, Peak Fitness is an "actual" gym. Membership price is beyond fair and there's a discount for prior/current military and first responders.

Arrielle is a phenomenal energetic instructor! I took a boot camp class with her and it was fantastic! She’s also a personal trainer! I highly recommend the classes and the gym was very clean and inviting! I will be taking more classes in the future!

Everyone here is really nice and willing to answer any questions you have. I've been going for a little over 2 months and it's awesome. The day I started a membership at Peak in January 2021 for $10 and $40 a month... I requested a tour of the gym. I asked to see the locker room because I shower before I leave the gym. L
I asked, "Do you have SHOWERS?"
She lied and told me yes. Unfortunately I couldn't see the locker rooms because it was being cleaned at the time.
I only went three times. Each time I worked out I went to take a shower in their ONE SINGLE SHOWER, which ALWAYS had the same shampoo, conditioner, lufa and body wash as if someone privately had "owned" that shower...
I was concerned someone would join the shower while I'm in it.
I went in the late evening when no one was there to talk to about this situation.

ON TOP OF THIS SHOWER LIE, the staff I gave my bank account information had entered it wrong.. I received calls everyday during my sleep time. (Akin to most getting a call at 4am - I even state this in my voicemail) message) after a month of them calling daily they left a message saying my account will be closed .

I don't understand this because 6 months x $40 = $550 and Their attorney said that's what I owe tthem .

So not only did they lie, about the showers, not put in my info correctly, but charged me nearly double what my debt should have been.

They are more expensive than any other gym around here and not worth the cost for what services you get there... Then they charge you twice as much .

They lied to me during your about showers - plural and only had a single shower ... Imagine if you had to shower before work or before bed but couldn't get into the shower or had to wait being on a schedule

Came through for my daughters softball tournament. I needed to train for my upcoming powerlifting meet. This gym has everything you need!! Super clean. Super nice equipment. All top notch. Has a sauna and shower. The nutrition shakes are delicious with all types to choose from. People are incredibly nice and helpful. If I am coming back through, I will definitely be using this gym!!!

I have been at peak for over a year! I love it here! I feel welcomed and comfortable! The sauna is on point! I also choose peak because my 8 year old has a place to hang out and if she wants to do some stretches with me that’s perfectly fine!! Staff is friendly and work to create a welcoming environment and a sense of community. The owners are available and communicate exceptionally well with specials, merch, and gym additions or changes.
