Ryan's professionalism and knowledge in his industry is one reason I selected him as a personal trainer. As a 60+ woman, I don't want to bulk up or even lose weight; I want to age gracefully and strongly. I want to bend and lift, get up and down, maintain balance - all things that will affect me in years to come. Ryan tailors each workout to meet my needs. He is vigilant about doing my exercises correctly - knees turned just right, bend a certain way, etc.
Many trainers do not maintain their certifications or take continuing education hours to keep updated in their industry; I know Ryan does.
I hate working out, but I know my body is better because of Ryan's expertise in his field.

This year is my first year working out with Ryan, and I wish I would have made the decision sooner. For awhile I haven’t felt myself and gained weight not to mention my health started suffering. From the first time I met Ryan, he was so personable. What surprised me during our assessments is that he wrote everything down. He genuinely was interested in knowing things about me so he could tailor things to me. I’ve been to boot camp facilities and nothing compares to the one on one interaction that I get with Ryan. Throughout the workout he is still assessing me and asking how I feel, how the weight feels, or making sure my form is right. He holds me accountable and talks to me about the things I struggle with that are keeping me from hitting goals I want to hit. I would recommend Ryan to anyone that wants a trainer that will not only give you quality workouts but will guide you, and motivate you to be the best you can be physically and mentally. I feel like I not only gained a trainer, but also a friend.

Ryan creates fitness plans made for each client, with their current fitness level and fitness goals in mind. He is very knowledgeable and can even assist in recovery from accidents and illness. He is patient and personable. His focus is on fitness for people 50 years of age and older. I think we all want to be able to remain active in our older years. I highly recommend Ryan Vivar Fitness to assist in keeping older clients active and happy!

Not your average personal trainer! Ryan has an insane amount of medical knowledge, in conjunction with the knowledge required to train your body that fits your particular needs. He also goes the extra mile to find exercises that accommodate me in the sports I like, which happens to be horseback riding! I’m 62, been with him for 5+ years, and consider him an integral part in my plan to age in the most fit way possible.

Ryan has been instrumental to my current fitness. He helped me lose 50 lbs and got me fit to be able to ride a bicycle with my husband which I love.
I recently had knee replacement surgery and I was still have troubles with my range in motion. He took me on and helped me with building my muscles strong again and increasing my stability.
He is very knowledgeable and works with each client to make them feel comfortable and reach their goals.
I could go on forever praising him. You won’t be disappointed.

I have worked with Ryan, as my personal trainer, for a year and a half. I’m am overly impressed with the results I have seen under his direction. I have worked serval Trainier s over the last 5 years but Ryan takes time to know his clients which allows him to tailor his training directly to the clients needs you can tell the difference after working with someone who understands the all expects of training from proper technique on how the body works . He has kept me on track even if I’m on the road and motivated me to drive for continued results. I highly recommend Ryan as a personal trainer. Thanks Ryan not only for getting me in shape but teaching me how to live a healthy life and how to work out properly.

I had the opportunity to work with Ryan for approximately 11 months. I had some arthritis issues as well as a hip prosthesis. I was 5'4" 195 lbs. and I had high BP as well as high lipids and I wanted and needed to do something to get in better health. Ryan asked for a medical release from my Rheumatologist (which she was very supportive and encouraged me to train with Ryan). He helped with developing a healthier diet and started my exercise program with what I could do ( which was not much, I could do 5 curls with 5lb weights and no push ups) I never had any injuries while training with Ryan, and I got great results! I am stronger than I've ever been and lost 55 lbs. I have been able to get off my BP and Cholesterol meds and my pain level has decreased by about 90%. I recently went back for a tune up and am glad I did, I may make it my New Year resolution next year too. Ryan is more than just a personal trainer, he is a friend and encourager, he gave me hope for a healthier me. I have a self esteem now.
