We have had a family membership with the Shape Fitness in Tecumseh since December of 2023. We moved to Florida in April. Although there was some confusion in the cancellation process, the Veteran owners showed outstanding integrity, and we were able to resolve the issue. We love all that this gym has to offer, whatever type of workout you prefer. I love that it is always open and that there is a fun kid zone that my little ones loved. It was nice to be able to keep an eye on them while working out. We have yet to find another gym here in Florida that will allow our pre-teens to work out with us. It is a well-maintained facility with a laid-back atmosphere. I would recommend this gym to anyone, just be sure to take the time to read the details on how to properly cancel should you move away.

I started a gym membership on April 9th. After taking a tour of the gym, my husband and I were unhappy with its standards and upkeep. I felt very uncomfortable in that atmosphere and chose not to return. On May 1st, 2025, I formally communicated in writing that I had not used the gym and was canceling my membership. I sent my cancellation request both by mail and email.

According to the contract, payments are not supposed to be taken out until the 2nd of each month. However, on May 30th, they withdrew $69.76 from my account, despite my revocation of permission for automatic withdrawals. This payment failed because I had already revoked permission the previous month. On June 12th, they withdrew $89.76 from my account without my consent. Again, on July 1st, they attempted to take out $69.76 without permission.

The company sent me a text about the failed payment. I informed them and provided proof of my cancellation and revocation of payments in May. They claimed they did not receive my cancellation, which was false. After being directed to send my cancellation to another email address, I complied, yet they continue to insist that I cannot cancel the contract and that I am locked into it regardless.

I have not used any of the services, as the gym is in disrepair and entirely unusable. The environment is uncomfortable, unclean, and poorly maintained. Therefore, I am requesting a full refund and the cancellation of my contract due to their failure to provide the services promised in a clean and safe environment. I have followed all necessary procedures, yet they continue to deny my claims and refuse to assist me. I signed up for the gym in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.

We moved and needed to terminate our membership, it was the worst cancellation process I’ve been through.

The information provided to us at the beginning of our membership in January was unclear and, at times, misleading. Nikole, who helped us sign up, did not clearly explain the contract terms. In my opinion, she was very unprofessional in the way she spoke to me after signing up. I would not recommend this gym. Getting out of the contract was incredibly frustrating—emails would say one thing, while phone conversations would contradict that entirely. The process was disorganized and difficult from start to finish. I personally would never suggest this gym to anyone until better staff is placed. It is a nice gym though.

Do not sign up for a membership here they are over priced and there is no way out of the contract they won't even let you pay a fee to get out of the contract which I believe would be understandable. Instead they hold you hostage.

I’d give this place about 2 stars. It has a lot of problems.

First off, they’ll send you to collections over anything. Their contracts are insanely strict—basically, if you try to cancel early, they’ll rip you off hard. Total money grab.

Second, the gym is just cheaply made. The ceiling feels low, the airflow is terrible, the machines are crammed together, and the locker rooms are the size of a sauna. There’s no pool, and overall it just feels like a low-budget setup.

But I’ll give it this—it has everything you need to get jacked, and it’s open 24 hours. If you don’t care about comfort or customer service and just want to lift anytime, this place delivers. Just don’t expect anything premium. It's like the Trailer Park of Gyms.

Had a one year membership and cancelled after that year was up, but missed the 30 day window by a day or two. Wanted to charge me for a full month and NOT allow me back in the gym so I wouldn't be able to finish the extra full month I paid for. Now it's been sent to collections and I owe more than what the original final payment would have been. I never missed a payment and never caused any issues. Thanks for treating a former customer in this manner. I do not encourage anyone to get a membership with this gym.

Clean, plenty of machines, free weights, aerobic room. Bathrooms and showers are clean. Card entry so it's secure. Enjoy working out here. And prices are very reasonable.

This is a pretty great spot for a small town gym. It has an aerobics room, some tanning, exercise machines, free weights, and cardio machines. There are no sports areas such as basketball, racquetball, or a pool. It does have a small kids zone.

This is a horrible gym. The equipment is outdated and certainly not efficient. The staff is not friendly. My wife attends Zumba classes and people were passing out due to the heat and no AC. Now, they have some AC but it's not effective. Done!

My husband goe there they charge him and over charge him over drafting his account and we get charged from the bank then they put it back in ,but we still get to psy an overdraft fee!!
