Lots of equipment, but not enough space to use it. The weight room is really crowded once more than 3 people are in it. Most of the CrossFit equipment can't be used due to lack of space, unless one was to haul it all outside. It just sits in the hallway.
For the number of people here, 2,000 or so, they could use a larger and/or additional facility. There are plenty of empty buildings that could be converted. Could also convert the rarely used racquetball court into a CrossFit/free weight area.
Really nice 1 mile running trail.

Nice people good food priced reasonably. But their gas prices are about fifty cents above what you'd get un larger town.

Restricted access (DOD post access required). Very good military gym-especially for the serviced population size. Good free weight, cardio, and machine areas. Many types of Crossfit equipment available (although limited open area for it--can be worked around in the basketball court by moving protective pads into position). Very good basketball court (to include the nostalgia of visiting units' artwork) and racquetball court.
There is also a one mile paved track right outside the gym. Good track, although it is not lighted so take that into consideration. Mike Deak / Dale Covington lighted 1 mile track in McAlester is what I use to get my mileage without having to worry about a vehicular sideswipe.
Note the hours--a bit eclectic, but the population it normally services is also not the "normal" Army populace.
