I really couldn't be more impressed. Whether your a seasoned power lifter or a first timer, Dan's coaching will benefit you. The facility is clean, fully stocked, and the perfect size to ensure you have a one-on-one coaching experience. If you are even slightly interested in gaining strength or power lifting, sign up for a meeting with Dan and his crew. You won't regret it.

I have been a client of the owner (Nick) for six years now. I cannot more strongly (pun intended) recommend Nick and the Starting Strength method of coaching, especially for new or inexperienced lifters. Within a few months you will be lifting more than you thought possible. If you keep with it, you will completely transform - not only your body, but your self-esteem and mental wellbeing as well. This isn't a place for meatheads or bros. This is where you want your mother and grandmother to train. They are patient, kind, safety-minded, and will steadily build up your strength and your confidence. While lifting definitely has immediate benefits, you join this gym as a long-term insurance policy. You are building stronger muscles, denser bones, and tougher ligaments for when you are in your 60s, 70s, and beyond. Give it a try - you won't regret it!

I’ve been training with Dan here at Starting Strength for a week and one day and so far I love it! I’m able to lift more than I ever have and I’m satisfied with all the knowledge I’ve been given so far! It’s just what I wanted. I guarantee you’ll never feel better.

Nick is the new owner of this business, and I’ve been his client for the past 2.5 years through his online coaching service. During this time, I started hitting PRs again and stopped getting injured every few months. I believe this is thanks to the Starting Strength Method and Nick’s expertise in coaching it.
I do wish I had the opportunity for in-person coaching instead of online, but that’s the best you can get when you live halfway around the world.

Nick D has been my coach for 4 years and has taken me from poor form, ad hoc programming, and inconsistent strength gains to consistent progress, correct form, and competition level strength.
In addition to his replete knowledge of strength and conditioning, he is an encouraging and friendly advocate of expanding self defense knowledge.
I have attached my squat progress, going from the low 300s to the low 500s.

I've worked with Nick via Starting Strength for a while in many capacities and just started taking advantage of his online coaching for almost 3 months now. His programming is excellent and proactive to ensure I get the most out of every session. I anticipate being the strongest I've ever been in just a few more months of coaching like this. I've seen him work with many lifters in similar ways and his level of service is always individualized and intentional! I'd love to be able to train with him in-person so get into Starting Strength OKC!

The coaches at this gym are the best you can find. Nick D has been my coach online and he's got me past multiple plateaus and helped me recover from multiple injuries. Check out this screenshot - this is my squat progress since Sep '23. I got hurt in jiu jitsu shortly after that, thus the drop off. But Nick kept me lifting and kept me strong. Then he got me back to adding weight once my injury healed and my progress has been a literal 45 deg path up and to the right, with not a single blip. He did this remotely for me via online coaching. Those of you that are lucky enough to have Nick as a coach in person - you are privileged!

Nick Delgadillo is my Starting Strength coach and has been for 7.5 years. I am an older female (upper sexagenarian) and I just wanted to be strong for my health and to feel better overall. The best part is that my clothes look better on me! Muscles help!
Nick adheres to the highest degree of integrity, and those with whom he works or employs do/would to. Nick made me strong and plans my programming to fit me and my demographic. I have worked with other SS coaches at seminars and they are excellent as well.
I would recommend Starting Strength Gyms OKC to anyone who wants to get strong and be healthy. Nick and company will serve you well. Give SS Gym OKC a try. You will not regret it.

Nick D has been my online strength training coach for the past 5 years. In my experience, he has been extremely generous with his time and knowledge and most importantly, his support and encouragement. I wouldn't have continued with a coach who didn't care or whom I felt did not have my best interests at heart. His expertise and approach to strength training is elite. He's also a really good guy. Go see for yourself!

I've been barbell training off and on for about 15 years. I've been consistently training with barbells for the last 1.5 years. I went in for a session with Nick today to work on my squat. I wish I had reached out when I started back in Sept. of 23! Within 30 minutes, he had my form straightened out. He also gave me some great cues for the deadlift and gave me some programming ideas to improve my press. I will definitely be back!

I am currently involved in litigation against this company. The founders only responded after I involved a lawyer. It feels like the operation is being run by individuals with no regard for ethical practices. My lawyer told me tho I can call them fraudsters.

My son signed me up for a free coaching session at Starting Strength Gym OKC. I have stayed with it for 11 months now, 3 times per week, and it’s amazing how strong and healthy I feel. Arthritis shoulder pain has gone away through consistent squats, presses, and deadlifts all with positive, hands-on coaching from dedicated, friendly coaches. Every visit is full of positive vibes thanks to the coaching and other lifters. Come check it out!

Starting strength okc is THE place to go if your serious about getting stronger. I am in my 50s and have been training here 3 days a week now for 6 months. I am stronger now than I was 15 or 20 years ago in my bodybuilding days. I thought I already new how to do the barbell exercises they teach there but i was wrong. I didn't know how to perform them correctly. That's the best part, you get professional coaching on every rep of every set. Coach Gregg is extremely knowledgeable and will make anyone much stronger. I have packed on 25 lbs of muscle since I started and I continue to get stronger on all the lifts every week. Sign up and see for yourself, you will not be disappointed!

All the coaches at Starting Strength are great. Greg helped me progress and set PRs by helping me stay focused and motivated. He provides direct feedback and coaching without sugar coating the truth which is refreshing. He has a great sense of humor.

Starting Strength at Quail Spings has been amazing on helping me get back into shape and much stronger after having a back fusion in lower back . The strength coach’s are definitely some of best I’ve ever worked with and now I love to do squats because I’m actually doing it the proper way and never feel it in my back . I would definitely Highly recommend this gym to anyone, young or old as 70 . I’ve seen what they do and it’s truly amazing how much it helps everyone and will definitely change your life !!!!

I’ve been aware of the Starting Strength Method since 2018. However, I’ve always been a solo lifter lifting in my garage. During a work trip to OKC, I decided to get a form check using the free drop-in session.
I met with Greg Herman in the morning and briefly discussed my lifting history. We worked on the squat, press, and deadlift. Greg was incredibly generous with his time. The free session is technically 30-min, but I was there for about 2-hrs. It was great working with Greg and engaging with his regular members. I highly recommend trying them out to get the experience of hands-on coaching at a Starting Strength Gym. Greg's cues were excellent, and I enjoyed watching him coach other lifters. All in all, I had a very positive experience with Greg and the OKC - Quail Spring gym. I recommend anyone new to SS or anyone who hasn’t experienced hands-on coaching to give them a try.
