Stratus is my favorite climbing gym in Oklahoma, great vibes all around. The routes are always challenging, yet you're constantly encouraged by an amazing atmosphere of people. The staff does a great job remembering your name and making it such a welcoming environment. Great classes to be had as well!

Great gym. Good bouldering. Has slab and over hang. Small cave area. Couple auto belays up to 5.11-. Top rope with pre attached grigri’s and can leas everything you can top.

Friendly staff!

I used to love this place but the new ownership is not helping. Do you think $50/$70 for an hour of climbing with 2 kids Is appropriate? Do you think that $250 a month for a family membership is affordable? You don't even open until 11am, Other rock climbing gyms open at 6am.

Do you think you could offer an annual membership? Why did you get rid of the Tuesday discount? That's the only day we could afford to climb.

I looked at your Google numbers your attendance is down.

If you decide you want to sell this business, please reach out to me. I think there's a lot of opportunity if the owner was willing to listen.

SPRAINED ANKLE at this place. They offered no help. No support. They focused on us filling out their incident form while I was in tremendous pain. Afterward, they paid us no attention as we tended to the injury. Unbelievable.
The injury could have been avoided if they had spent more time on safety during their introduction to the gym. We made it clear we were beginners. The hostess rushed through the information, did not demonstrate any safety techniques, and left us in the climbing area.
Do not go here if you care about yours or your child's safety.

Nice setup, good variety, kind and helpful staff. There are some amazing climbers here, but we never feel judged as beginners. It is always amazing to me how great a workout this is, but you just don't notice at the time because it is so much fun!

As someone new to bouldering, I really like this gym. If I can go at the right time of day, I feel I can go at my own pace. Weeknights are pretty packed. Most of the staff is nice and helpful. I did have a bad experience with one of the girls who was just rude and unhelpful right as I got there. I am hard of hearing, but not deaf. I heard her making fun of me as we walked away from the desk. Thankfully my kid was already around the corner and did not seem to hear her.

-2 stars for having pictures of rooms on Google maps that have not had for years. Brought my 5 year old son autistic son to play in the kids room they show on there website. I had even called on a previous day to confirm they had an kids room. So I ended up have to chase him around all night so he wouldn't get crushed. All while i'm sure people were looking at me thinking, why did he bring him here. And I didn't want to deal with a two hour meltdown bc I brought him in a huge climbing playgroud for 30 sec and then being like "just kidding, we're leaving".

Cute little climbing gym. It's like cheers (a show in the 80s) The locals sit and chat and climb a little on the boulders. The roped climbs are best done in laps. There is a moon board and hangboards and kilter board which seem way more hard-core than the routes and the feel of the gym as a whole. It's like walltopia made a miniaturized proof of concept for climbing gyms. It's prolly great for kids. It's good for locals who want a smaller family and place to hang. It's not the modern sport and Boulder gym and it's not the old school trad dad workout gym. It's just a cute tiny baby and for that 4 stars!

Amazing climbing gym, just got back into climbing a couple months ago and this has an emphasis on bouldering, with enough variety of routes to keep anyone from a child to a veteran climber entertained and challenged, plenty of mix of flat wall and overhang of varying steepness, as well as top rope and lead climbing if that's more your flavor, best climbing gym I've been to :)

Gym is super clean. Staff and coaches are all so welcoming and patient. My kids go to the homeschool class and love it!

Update: my kids USED to love it. Until Sasha started teaching the homeschool class and had no clue how to teach an active 6 year old boy. She made zero effort to adapt to his learning style, and instead made him sit out for 90% of the class time. Would not recommend unless your child is a perfect rule-following robot.

I'm going to be very very generous and give them 4 stars.

This place has 1 style, very very simplistic left hand, right hand, left hand, finish. Very powerful, very straightforward movements. If you're a smaller build and powerful, you will love this place.

If you're over 5'10" and like more technique stuff, I don't recommend it.

Fun Climbing. Super challenging in a mask. If the mandate wasn't in place, we would have definitely stayed longer and returned. Most coaches were super kind. One lady was a bit rude and probably could have handled a situation in a less embarrassing way, but there is always that one. Also overheard her say to her kids camp that most of the time the camps have the gym to themselves but for some reason there were other people here. Maybe they don't want other groups there?

Took my buddy bouldering here when we were in town for the day, nice place, the bouldering grades are very soft so just keep that in mind. Not that it really matters in the first place, but if you've been to other gyms you might be surprised by the level you can climb at here. Still, the employees were friendly and helpful, I was a big fan of the training stuff they had around and the slack line was cool too. Good mix of climbing and bouldering.

Greatest atmosphere ever! The staff is attentive, caring, understanding, and Knowledgeable!!!
The GM took me and a friend through orientation and absolutely hyped us up to 11. Because of my level of physical fitness I wasn't able to do much... BUT in subsequent trips I was gaining ground at an alarming pace! Overall a great experience for the whole family and any activity level. Although the more physically fit you are, the more you will have to do!

Happy with this place. Friendly and helpful staff. They change over a wall on Thursday/ Friday so be aware if you are climbing in Thursday nights you may not have access to 100% of the walls, BUT they only work on small sections at a time which is nice compared to whole other gyms who do bigger sections. Good routes and a good variety of levels (esp v3 and up). Their top roping isn’t as hefty of a selection, but in general it is pretty fun good! Check the website for annual competitions.

If you are thinking about getting into bouldering, rock climbing, or are just interested in experiencing a non-traditional way to exercise - give this place a shot!

I have been climbing for 4 or 5 years now, and have been a member at Climb UP since they opened. They offer a great variety of difficulties, from beginner to expert, and have a friendly, knowledgeable staff that go above and beyond. As a taller, heavier climber I find that the variety of routes and the route setting schedule strikes a good balance between being able to project my hardest problems and being able to try out new stuff to curb boredom.

I know a few of the setters that work there personally, and am always pleased with how much thought goes into setting problems for everyone. They really try and make things accessible while still providing a good challenge for more experienced climbers.

They also have awesome options for the kiddos, or adults who would like to climb but are in need of child care. I happen to climb a couple of times a week during their youth club hours, and am really impressed by the younger climbers. Climb UP has also done a really great job at making the gym an environment where parents can climb with their kids, and give them friendly social experience with other young climbers.

They also offer sport climbing at their Norman location, (and awesome 90' sport routes in the silos at the OKC location) as well as classes and training for those who would like to get into the sport, but have 0 prior knowledge.

Climbing has had a major positive impact on my health and outlook on life in general. If you are in the metro and have thought about giving it a try, but have been feeling a little anxious, give this place a shot. There are loads of folks both climbers and staff who WILL help you out. It's a chill place all around.

I was more than excited to hear about a climbing gym opening in Norman. I've been a member at Climb Up since it opened and I climb there three days a week. The varying grades of routes have greatly improved my strength and climbing ability. The staff is always friendly, eager to get to know you and offer beta on challenging routes and problems. The climbers who frequent the gym are welcoming people, and I often find myself sitting at the edge of the mat chatting it up with other members. Whether you're new to climbing or a seasoned crusher, Climb Up will have what you need.

Great gym. The problem is the difficulty with the routes. I am a casual climber and am in really good shape. I can't do about 85% of these routes. It seems that unless you are very experienced and live to boulder, you are going to have a very hard time just trying to start the majority of the routes much less finish them. The frequency that they update the routes is also frustrating. There is a section of the wall that has been the same for 2 months. So you have to boulder a lot to get good enough to actually do the routes, but then you are stuck doing the same routes. Nearly every time I went, the place was littered with children. Seems more like a daycare than a gym. So if you are in shape adult that climbs about once a week, you will be very disappointed. I love to climb so I hate to give a bad review.

I love this place! Well set bouldering routes for all skill levels, good sport climbs and several auto-belays. The routes are all changed frequently, so it doesn't get boring. The staff is friendly and very experienced. Climate control is really nice in the heat of the summer and cold of winter. The yoga program is really fun. The yoga instructors do an excellent job of teaching several styles while catering to the skill level of the participants. They also have a childcare program on Mon-Thurs between 5:00-7:30 for climbers with young children.

This gym sparked my love for climbing!
Prior to Climb Up opening, the only other option for gym climbing was Rocktown in OKC. Nothing against Rocktown, but the extremely high walls and long routes were not very appealing to me, and never really made me want to start climbing. If you are looking for a less intimidating, friendly option were you can go with a group of friends, this gym is it!

The facility is about 60% bouldering (12 ft middle island and 16 ft wall) and 40% lead/top rope climbing. Walltopia is used for the walls which allows for good smearing/grip and the holds are great. The route setting is also top notch. You'll have to be creative when you approach some of the problems, but they are extremely satisfying to complete. Routes seemed to be changed in sections on a monthly basis.

The staff are all very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable in regards to climbing. The gym itself is always clean and professional compared to other gyms. Good music, great padding in all the boulder areas, belays on site, and they just added a slackline! The community at this gym is solid. Everyone is very friendly and eager to meet other climbers and offer help if needed.

Brilliant gym. Can't recommend enough!
