The professionals at this gym are the best I’ve ever had. They helped me achieve what I could never have done on my own. The gym is new and has many excellent machines

I wanted to pay them some rent, and the ladies at the office were very kind and very nice they were very professional, and I only spent about 5 minutes in their total to do what I had to do

Member for ~2 years. The price recently increased to $80/month, but the overall value has gone down with the ownership change.

• Weekend hours reduced
• I was told the sauna is being moved to a $20/month “recovery” add-on, and the locker room with it has been under construction for about a month
• The men’s locker-room hot tub has been out of service for over a year
• The pool was removed (the area is being repurposed for future add-ons)
• Increasing amount of broken or out-of-service equipment. Many items just need basic maintenance, but sit unavailable for weeks or months

I’d really like to see the focus return to core amenities and maintenance. I ended up canceling because I couldn’t justify paying more while getting less than what most gyms include in a standard membership.

Staff can’t even provide factual information… have called 4 separate times in the last week asking if they had basketball courts available for day pass use. They’ll tell you yes and then when you show up, all 4 courts are rented out and were reserved the entire time. Even on the sport space app it doesn’t show if the courts are reserved or not 80% if the time

I haven't used this center. Just try to ask about the swimming pool. To my surprise, the indoor pool is removed in this Jan. The front desk staff said that it won't come back in this fall. What a pity!

It is 90° outside, zero air flow throughout the facility. It is miserable for the people just sitting & watching the games, just imagine how the players feel? My guess would be as awful as they look.

A FEW big fans would even be nice. They have 1 that I could see in the back right corner, which can't cover 2 courts, let alone the 4 in this building.

This really isn't cool.

Original post: "Positives: Generous 3 day free pass to try out before committing to a membership. Workout floor is nice and pumping with loud thumping music which gets you pumped up but I can see some people might not like that. Nice hot tub in the Mens Locker room. Like the clean epoxy flooring.

Negatives: Lockers do not work. Sauna has a cold concrete floor, drafty, and does not reach the upper temps needed. Mold in showers. Pool has non working lights and no lanes painted in the lanes members use, which is dangerous and could lead to head injuries (do not know if it is OAC responsibility or the Swim Club “KMSC”)

I understand they are currently under new ownership and working to improve the Facility. Besides the issues, I am joining as member and will update if things improve.

Update: The cleaning is improving."

This place is a dump! Can't believe they get to host any youth athletic events. Basketball courts are trash, like playing on an ice skating rink. Saw a post that said they were scheduled to re-finish the courts early March, but was there this weekend and there has been no change. Bathrooms are disgusting! Poor lighting on back courts. Huge mud puddles near entrance tracking in tons of dirt. The concession area doesn't have any ice for when players get injured. This place has really gone downhill in the past 1-2 years.

Source: Google

The courts side is the filthiest I've ever seen. Not sure if they have a cleaning crew and if they do, they are trash. The bathrooms are so filthy, I don't even want to use them. Concession doesn't have anything to offer and the employees who work are clueless and lazy. This facility is definitely not the same. I really hope things get better.

They don’t know how to run a business it’s pretty embarrassing. I’m also editing this review, because the owners responded to this review with a question, and google review doesn’t offer that option as they should know. But I was a member, and they cancelled my membership because I wrote this review. So, if that doesn’t tell you that hey, they don’t know how to run a business, I’d say they’re pretty pathetic. Toby and Isaiah who run this place, are petty and just bothered that people write honest reviews. Also no employee is happy, and they owe money to prior employees, and third parties who work under them. They got reported to the IRS, so good job guys! Keep up the good work. People only come to HIIT classes and spin classes. Without Adam, Megan, and Kelsey, you couldn’t thrive with business. Be blessed cuties!

After my c- section they wouldn’t allow me to cancel my account without going in person. They said they would pause my membership for 6 months but after checking my account I’ve been charged the entire time. They don’t answer the phone and had to cancel my card just to stop these payments.

The gyms also not well taken care of when I stopped going on July. They invest money in things that don’t make sense rather than routine upkeep.

The turf is so awesome !!! pretty nice gym - the price is a tad rough in my opinion. Sauna wasn’t hot , steam room wasn’t working and the hot tub was warm. If the locker room / sauna / steam was rocking then the price is totally worth it. Friendly staff / awesome equipment and the turf is the best part of the gym IMO . I look for an athlete-first gym, and the Oklahoma Athletic Center is that type of health club. What do I mean by athlete-first? Well: large functional / crossfit area, machines built for serious athletes (high weight, large range of motion), squat racks galore, Jacobs Ladder, Assault bikes, Assault rowers, and more... Great staff and clean too!

I walked into this club and asked if they had Silver Sneakers. The person behind the desk began looking for silver athletic shoes.

Really? You literally don't know what Silver Sneakers is? And you're a health club. Wow. That's truly amazing.

From what I can tell a nice club if you're young and healthy. I am neither. Definitely not for the older crowd.

Which gets to the point of my one star. This club isn't even trying to address the needs of older people.

Hosting the MAYB tournament this weekend. Nice Basketball courts so $35 cover seems reasonable until you walk into an 85° gym. I think OAC took a page out of the Titan Sports Performance gyms playbook and is trying to sweat out the parents/fans. Not sure why gyms agree to host tournaments, but can't have adequate air conditioning. Basketball is an indoor sport.

Extremely shady, crooked billing practices. It's disgraceful enough that they force you to come in, in person, to cancel your account. Categorically refusing to cancel a membership over the phone because they need you to sign "for their records" is laughable.

That would be bad enough, but when an extended hold ends, and you start getting billed, onto a now-invalid credit card for a few months, and they only call you when the balance becomes past due, and then refuse to cancel the charges, that's when you know ownership are next-level gross people.

The manager told me point blank he wouldn't cancel the charges because the "cancellation policy is simple"

Avoid at all costs.

Biggest reason why I love this gym is the child care. Miriam is absolutely the best as far as trusting someone with your kiddos. Been to gym after gym, never had luck with anyone I could trust with my kids until now. She is attentive, cleans and sanitizes toys, cares for the babies. Doesn’t just sit on her phone like others. Miriam deserves the UPMOST respect and if it wasn’t for her, I would not be a member here. I can focus on my workout and not have any worry whatsoever if my kiddos are getting attention or being cared for.

Oac review

Q: Do they have a steam room?
A: Yes but it's been broken for nearly 3 years. (Touchy subject with management, don't bring it up)

Q: Do they have sufficient amounts of equipment?
A: Yes, unless the trainers are doing classes. Then you're just out of luck, come back in 2 hours when they're done if you want to do curls. Oh and you get to clean up after them too! Free extra workout included in your membership!!

Q: Bathroom air freshners?
A: Yes, but only 1 scent. (Urine)

Q: Fresh Mold?
A: Yes, they grow it themselves!

Q: Clean bathrooms?
A: I won't lie here, hoarders have higher health standards than these bathrooms do.

Q: Dry sauna?
A: Yes! But watch out for broken boards with nails sticking straight up! Tetanus anyone? Yes please!!

Q: Good machines?
A: Negative Superstars, they decided to use custom handles on everything so if you like your wrists, you won't for very long here. They're also not bolted to the floor so you get to straighten it back up yourself (not the staff).

Look, I could keep going on and on about how great this place is but I won't. Just like how ownership, and their upper management refuse to do anything to improve this place. Take your $76 monthly dues somewhere else, because OAC has nothing to make that price point worthwhile.

Nice equipment but stupid expensive. $76 a month for very little features. VASA is way better for $10 a month. They say they are updating in the future but you’re paying exorbitant amount for future updates that you don’t have currently. Up the price once the renovation is completed.

Locker rooms are gross and very outdated. Stall doors don’t lock. Toilet paper holds are broken. They don’t seem to be clean often. Hair on the floors. Most lockers are locked but not being used. The showers have what looks like mold and are just nasty. The steam room (that you pay for) is broken. The hot tub is gross looking. Would not use it.

Parking lot is horrible. So many pot holes to mess up your car. For $76 a month, you’d expect better. Also people park where ever they please. People make themselves a parking spot where it’s clearly illegal.

Dress code is really relaxed. Girls wearing tube tops that are about to roll down and tiny bras that look like girls training bras.

Over all gym is worth maybe $35 a month. Not $76. Lower your prices until you fix issues/renovate.

I cannot comment on the gym facilities only the volleyball/basketball gym/areas. It has been at least 3-4 years since we were there for competitive high school volleyball. It blows my mind that there still isn't proper air conditioning in the gymnasium. We are on Oklahoma in summer time with kids running, jumping, and exerting themselves to play a game they love. I cannot wrap my brain around the fact that the a/c issue has yet to be resolved. Had I known my 9 yr daughter would be playing in this gym fir her 1st season of volleyball, I would have ave signed her up with a different organization than i9. With all the upgrades and renovations mentioned about the fitness side, you'd think you could have included the A/C. I hope this vball season goes by fast and without anyone getting heat stroke.

OAC is one of the nicest gyms I've been to in the Oklahoma City area. It's very clean and well lit. There are enough stations and machines to accommodate the traffic even at peak hours. The artificial turf area is HUGE. It's spacious enough for stretching, sled push, walking lunges, sprints, calisthenics, etc. There are also numerous squat racks for squats and deadlifts as well as a designated area for cardio as well. The locker rooms are bright and spacious and I've never had an issue with them being unkept or dirty. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone in the N. OKC area.
