I agree with Mr. Corbin. The review posted by K.T. does not reflect the high standards of ethical conduct demonstrated here. This is an inclusive, family friendly business, regardless of one's faith. I find the review deeply unsettling.

Awesome climbing gym built out of old grain silos! They offer climbing routes for every level of experience, from a beginner 5 year old to the expert veteran 35 year old. Been climbing here for over 10 years and I love it.. the silos allow you to climb great heights. Some up to 90 feet! So as small as 30 feet. 22$ for a day pass for all day climbing, gear rentals also available

I would like to express my disbelief at Kimberly Tailor’s recent public complaint. I typically expect reviews to reflect a degree of fairness and perspective, but unfortunately, that was not the case here.
Kimberly entered a space, didn’t get the exact greeting she demanded, and immediately took offense—as if every business is required to roll out a red carpet for her $20. A simple missed “hello” became a personal attack, setting the stage for a list of exaggerated grievances.
Her biggest issue? A quirky label saying “Demon Programmer”—clearly a joke or playful nickname—sent her spiraling into theological crisis. We all have beliefs, but policing harmless words because they don’t align with yours? That’s not respect, that’s control.
And the cherry on top? She interpreted a staff member’s hand gesture (likely a wave or inside joke) as “inappropriate.” Kimberly, if everything offends you, maybe the problem isn’t the world—it’s your lens.
Based on this, I hope she truly does not return. Businesses thrive on inclusion, yes—but also on mutual respect and a sense of humor. Kimberly brings neither.

I would like to express my disappointment with my recent visit. I typically pay $20 to enter and expect a welcoming environment, but unfortunately, that was not the case. I wasn’t greeted when I arrived, which set an uncomfortable tone for my visit.
While climbing, I noticed a label with the phrase "Demon Programmer," and as a person of faith, I found this deeply unsettling. It's concerning to me that such language is allowed, as it doesn’t contribute to a respectful atmosphere for all patrons.
To add to this, the staff member who assisted me during checkout made an inappropriate hand gesture, which further compounded the discomfort I felt.
Based on this experience, I will not be returning and will no longer be spending my money here. I hope you take this feedback seriously and make changes to ensure a more inclusive and respectful environment for all customers.

They charged me $163.14 for months I didn't go into the gym I had no Idea where the charges were from. Apparently they had been bought by a new company and never sent any emails notifications, left any voicemails, or sent any letters. So when I had no car and no job and let them know that I had to cancel via their contact us website at least 8 months ago they never responded because the new owners never got it. I didn't even have money on the card they we're trying to charge so there were months where my card just kept getting declined. So now that I've been able to make payments towards that card they continued taking payments out. When I called they said they said they weren't willing to let people know in any other way other than their social media and word of mouth.
Update:
Oh and when I asked why they didn't just email me/ send me a letter, or leave me a voicemail. they said because a mass email service "costs money." they didn't respond to the other reasons but I can assume its for the same reason or they're just lazy.
I'm not sure what Mass email services they looked into before coming to the conclusion that it wouldn't be worth implementing but I was able to look around at Mass email service pricing and found this, "you might pay around $270 once you exceed 50,000 subscribers."
I don't know this for a fact but I doubt they would come anywhere near this amount of subscribers. My subscription alone would have probably paid for a mass email service they could have used to notify people of the management change. I'd like to think they used the money I gave them to invest in a better way to notify their subscribers. If so I'll change this to a 5 star review but they're just happy to take money they didn't earn so I doubt that's the case!
I also reached out to the BBB which didn't help. Their response was that they rely on people to find out for themselves what's going on with their business. If they didn't want to pay for/ were too lazy to set up a mass email service, leave me a voicemail or send me a letter they shouldn't have claimed my subscription when Summit when out of business.
it was a $163.14 donation to people who didn't even work there when I started the subscription.
The reason I'm coming back to this is because gas is $5 a gallon here in LA, rent is $3000 for a studio and that money could have definitely been put to better use that to pay for them to not learn from their mistake and continue to run their business poorly.
It's not allowing me to reply to their reply, but no. No one has ever notified me. They send me receipts saying I got charged for something I didn't recognize. No emails explaining what the charges were for. They don't even say, "Formerly Summit climbing gym." like their gmaps says. Again, they had my address and phone number how is it possible they never notified me? I'm attaching proof so people can see they're just straight up ready to lie about it.

Didn’t get any kind of notification when they changed management/name and didn’t process my subscription cancellation. They said it wasn’t their fault we didn’t know they changed management and we didn’t know.

This is such a unique place to climb! We did indoor climbing since it was cold and used auto belays so we wouldn’t have to spend extra time with the belay instructions. There were more than enough auto belays that differed in difficulty to satisfy us.
We haven’t climbed in nearly ten years and it was definitely challenging for our first couple of climbs, but we had such a blast here. I also forgot how great of a workout rock climbing is— we were a bit sore the next day, but coming here have re-ignited our interest in rock climbing more regularly!

Can't say enough good things about Summit Silos. The staff is friendly, welcoming and knowledgable. I started with no experience and out of shape, but I was made to feel comfortable. I get a great work out but can't wait to go back. The core and yoga classes are excellent. The climbing is fun and challenging. I am making steady progress. Mostly I love the vibe. The staff are always encouraging and positive. This is one of my happy places!
Update: 2 yrs on, new owners but same great staff. We have, with coaching at the Silos, begun to lead climb outdoors. This is now a big part of our lives, thanks to the Silos.

The top rope routes are super fun, since the location (converted grain silos) allows for some EPIC features. 10/10 for a unique top rope session.

Pros: The OKC location/old grain silos are NOT for people with a fear of heights. But you can climb as high (or low) as you want. There are a few auto-belays for those who are traveling solo, so no need for a climbing partner. The Norman location places a greater emphasis on bouldering. But there are still plenty of challenging, rope-climbing walls. If you plan to go a few times, buy the punch card, which includes rental equipment and works at both locations. They may try to push the monthly membership on you, but give yourself time to try out the gyms before making any big commitments. If climbing/bouldering becomes a new hobby of yours, the monthly membership makes more financial sense.

Don't go there for bouldering. They only have one spray wall.
The photos here of the nice bouldering area are from another gym - they're actively deceiving people by putting the same nice photos on google maps for all their gyms.
Overall the gym seems a bit run-down.
And they're way overpriced.
I don't understand why their rating is so good. Maybe from reviews as fake as their photos.
Edit after reply from the gym:
The photos I mentioned are put up by the gym (user name "Summit Climbing, Yoga and Fitness" and official logo), not other users. And they are the same photos for all gyms of that group.

A good climbing gym is completely dependent on the route setting, and the route setting at Silos was not good. It’s like going to a restaurant with a bad chef.
On top of that, you are not allowed to tie directly into your top rope belay. Instead a triple locking carabiner is attached to a pre tired figure 8 knot. I would highly encourage new climbers to research into the dangers of using a triple locking carabiner in this use case before climbing here. These types of carabiners are safe for anchors, where movement on them is limited, but can come undone when rubbed up against, which could happen a lot when attached to a belay loop. When questioned about it they said “we have a lot of new climbers and it would require a lot of education time to teach everyone a figure 8 knot”. That education, in my opinion, is a necessity to stay safe while climbing. They are common on auto-belay routes which are inherently much easier. But as you transition to top rope, the grades will get harder and require more movement, which could lead to the pre-mentioned issues occurring.
There was also a climbing competition scheduled for the same day we arrived, and we’re not told about the closure duration until after we had purchased the entry pass. After waiting almost 30 min to run through the orientation, we were only left with 30 min of climbing time for $50.
I won’t be returning to this gym because I felt genuinely unsafe climbing here. I have emailed the company to try and resolve the situation, but I have not heard back.

We literally stopped on our way to the airport to check the spot out. My daughter climbs in San Diego and just had to stop to see what this place was all about. They’ve done an amazing job converting as old grain silos into a claim in German. Lots of amazing routes Both traditional ballet and auto belay plus a couple of bouldering options and a fitness room. The staff hooked us up with a discount because we were only climbing for 30 minutes and our kids had a blast. Will definitely be stopping here again when we pass through OKC in the future. Thanks to the team for hooking us up.

I love climbing and the experience Summit provides. Both safe and fun. However, I’m a little disheartened. I completely social distanced from the gym during COVID because I am a nurse. I finally felt safe to return to the gym (I went 1-3x before the pandemic) this past week. I obviously jumped back on their monthly promo/subscription. However, it was brought to my attention first responders get a further discount. The attendant asked if I was and I said well I’m a nurse. “No sorry that doesn’t count.” I fully respect that a nurse is not first on scene. But, after these past two years to hear nurses aren’t eligible for a the kind gesture all the other front line warriors are (teachers, first responders, military, even students) is kind of a slap in the face for a facility who recognizes the impact of COVID 19. I hope society does better on acknowledging the “front line” as a whole.

Another reviewer mentioned the route setting and I’m going to solidly agree that the route setting needs work — I have climbed all over the US and I enjoyed this gym ONLY for the novelty of climbing in a silo. The orientation was clunky and not really helpful besides the tour, the gym does some really weird things with their top ropes that I didn’t necessarily enjoy. The hardest route I climbed was a 5.6, and the easiest was a 5.9 so there’s really no way to know what the route difficulty is without climbing it. Additionally they have known loose holds and didn’t do anything about it when I told the front desk.
Also, they wouldn’t top rope certify me until I had been there for 45 minutes even though I asked at the beginning. I did eventually get approved to top rope belay but it was frustrating that we were forced into only using auto-belay when I have plenty of belay experience.
The staff was super friendly but seemed inexperienced with providing instruction.
Summary: it’s super neat for the experience of climbing in a silo, but by all means go to their other location if you’re not going to climb in a silo.

If you are new to climbing, please please please don't start here, it will ruin your impression. Instead, go to the summit off flood Ave, or threshold(which is nearby), or Blocworks.
I don't know why this is so highly rated. This is hands down the worst climbing gym I have ever been to. I've been to a lot of gyms, in the US, outside the US and even college gyms( which are like bottom of the barrel). This had to be the worst, because you're paying so much for so little
I don't think they've bought new home since they have opened. Everything I touched was slick with no grip. Don't go alone, there are only a 2-3 routes on the auto belay you'll want to do. The rest will be too easy or too hard.
I understand that it's built in a silo, and that massively limits anything they can do, but the route setting is just bad. I was like, I have to do WHAT to get to the next hold? I really don't know how they could improve it. Maybe try to add volumes? Bring it up to the year 2020 standards.
Please aviod this place if you're new.

Super fun little gym. Awesome use of the naturals and even has climbs on the outside. Loved the little bouldering area too!

A-mazing place! There's something special about the summit gyms, where being there actually feels like a community. Any time that I'm just resting my arms for a while, people will often ask if I need a belay. People there are extremely nice and motivating (especially when fighting that fear of heights on the wall). Also, the staff is extremely helpful and informed about safety issues. Climbing and bouldering here is awesome!!

Our large group arrived at 10 pm for our reservation. Not real thrilled with the check in process but got through it. No big deal. The front desk help was very helpful and willing to answer questions. Well done to the two young ladies there. However, the two trainers are where things broke down. They were arrogant, unwilling to listen and at times hateful to the high school kids. My group of seniors had a couple separated from their group due to the young man unwilling to get that group together for the first training stop. When I tried to get the 2 separated back together, he rejected without any willingness to listen to what he actually caused himself. Smiles while being hateful on responses has no place in a place of business.
Then upon checking out, it was learned this business does not invoice. I have no doubt this was omitted from the reservation conversation. I paid reluctantly.
Not a good experience as a large group. I will suggest avoiding this place in the future.

Awesome time, great workout, and informative staff. They provide you with the gear needed. If it's your first time, they will go over a little safety class with you, have a few waivers to sign. Even if you are a beginner, the have several set ups that are fairly easy to climb. Also have water and snacks for purchase there.

Creative use of the original structure, there's not much here for bouldering (the two areas they have are quite small) but we still got a lot of enjoyment out of it. The place is much better suited for roped climbing anyways.

Wow. Great place loads of fun. I have only climbed a few times 25 years ago. What a work out. We spent 2 hours here for $20 for the day. Staff was awesome. They took the time to show us how things work and make sure we were safe. This is a definite come back place.

Awesome place for rock climbing in OKC. We celebrated a family member's birthday party, and Summit Gym provide a truly unique experience. My one complaint is that they required us to fill out a waiver form that was too long and requested too much information on an ipad that didn't work very well.

Excellent climbing gym, must do activity if in OKC. Very long and creative routes, with options for all skill levels, including kid climbing. If it's your first time, they give you a quick tutorial on how to belay. Although it's a pretty cheap activity already, they have 2 for 1 deals on certain days, just check their website. The employees are very nice and helpful, it's a great atmosphere, and it's never too crowded. My favorite activity in OKC

Dude, this place is awesome!! The informational gal at the front gave us a full run through of all the ropes and gears then set us free for the rest of the day. Just one of courses can take up hours at a time, and it's up to you whether you'd like to do it manually (have someone down at the bottom pull you upwards) or have an automatic belay pull you as you ascend upwards. Choosing the difficulty of the course was certainly a plus, since there's many walls to choose from. My siblings and I had a blast at this place, so I'd reccomend it to anyone who'd ask me! 10/10, would go again.

Super fun gym close to bricktown. A real neat idea to repurpose some silos. The staff were quite friendly and helpful, treated us with respect and not condescending during the orientation. Had a wide variety of routes to use for a variance of skills. We were beginners and stuck with 9.8 and below but there were more experienced people struggling with 11+s
Clean equipment and it wasn't too crowded when we went.

This place is really cool! They took old silos that were industrial park remnants and rather than tear them down or just abandon them they were turned into a climbing gym. Also the whole thing is painted and looks more like art than the eyesore it could have been. Definitely recommend a try if you enjoy climbing
