As a high schooler and student-athlete traditional strength has been great. If you truly want to get stronger I can’t think of a better place than here. all my core lifts have gone up in every aspect, form, weight, and general knowledge of how each lift works. can’t recommend Traditional Strength enough.

My wife, son, and I have trained with Greg for over 3 years. In that time each of us has gotten stronger than we have ever been in our lives…with no injuries!

I’m 65, my wife is 67, and our son is 30. Both my wife and son were novices, having never lifted before, while I’d lifted on my own for 10+ years. Greg had them start practicing the lift movements with a wooden dowel until they became proficient enough to use barbells. Greg’s coaching and programming swiftly got all of us healthier and stronger.

If you’re a novice lifter, this is the place to learn…you’ll be amazed at how good it feels to be strong and watch your body shape shift into great proportions. If you’re an experienced lifter, you’ll see your PRs climb as you get expert cues and coaching on every rep of every set.

My husband attends this gym and I see a noticeable difference in his physique. His trainer, Greg pushes him and keeps him motivated with his strength training. He is also very understanding when life happens or family stuff comes up and he has to miss a session or 2. Greg is a great coach. Everything else I write after this is just to elaborate on that. So if you’re reading these reviews trying to decide if you should hire him, do it.

He’s great for young people trying to bench press a house, people trying to lose weight while keeping as much strength possible, and also older people trying to build muscle and increase mobility.

Greg is the best coach I have worked with. Before meeting Greg I was squatting 135 lbs, and that was a struggle. Bench was 175 lbs, and the other lifts were also low. After only a year and a half of working with Greg my bench PR was 290 lbs, my squat was over 465 lbs and my deadlift was 505+. He also helped me get my over head press to over 200 lbs.

I highly recommend traditional strength to anyone who is looking to get strong without all the BS. Greg is really good at helping people work around injuries and physical limitations.

There was a brief period of time where I had to work with a different coach do to logistical issues, and a lot of my knee and neck pain came back. After I got back with Greg he made some minor adjustments to my technique and the pain went away quickly.

I’ve seen this happen to other people who found that working with Greg helped them stop experiencing pain.

I am a 70 year old woman who has been lifting with Greg since 2021. Since I began using Greg as a personal trainer, my best squat is now 235lbs, bench press 136lbs, overhead press 92.5lbs, and deadlift 286lbs!

If you’re looking to get stronger and healthier go see Greg. Lifting at Traditional Strength helped me put on a lot of lean muscle! I feel and look better. Before when I would lift on my own, I was constantly getting injured and doing workouts that I did not see results with. This place is different from most gyms in that he teaches each movement in detail and is there to watch and correct any problems on the spot. I have been training with Greg for over six months and have recommended him to all my friends. I came to him as a total novice for weightlifting. I had read about the importance of middle aged women gaining muscle mass and how compound lifts are the most efficient way to accomplish that goal.
