I've had my child enrolled in the 18 month–3 year old class for the past year. Today, she was only allowed to participate in about 45% of the class because I was told- right before class started that she would need to stay in the lobby during group instruction. This should have been communicated ahead of time by phone or voicemail, not sprung on us in front of other parents and children. My child sometimes has developmentally normal
tantrums when she doesn’t want to participate in activities, which is expected for her age. Other children in the class also don’t participate and continue to play during instructions, which only made it harder for my child to engage.
My child was essentially expelled under the guise a constructive dismissal.
I wasn’t even given the courtesy of a quick refund. Instead, I sat in the lobby for an extended period, waiting to even be acknowledged. My daughter was upset watching all the other kids go into class without her, and I was left feeling humiliated and frustrated. I paid for her to be included in the full class, and the way this was handled was unprofessional, poorly communicated, and inconsiderate to both my child and myself.
I know my child can have disruptive moments and tantrums, and I understand that can be frustrating, it’s frustrating for me too. But is within the realm of normal for this age group. However, that does not excuse the way this situation was handled. Over the past year, there have been multiple times when other children have pushed, shoved, or even purposely kicked or stepped on my child, and I never complained. Yet my child is the one treated as “the problem.”

I went there to attend my granddaughters 1st class on a Wednesday. They had a 6 to 1 ratio between teacher and students. I thought that was a good ratio, being these were 4 and 5 year olds. There were 2 ladies teaching, and the kids switched halfway thru class. I will say both of the teachers were smiling and positive while helping the kids do the activity asked of them. They were also very fair on helping all the kids. The building is older and not as nice as some other gymnastics I have been in.

All 4 of my daughters have attended here over the course of 15 years. Rebekah and Kelly do an AMAZING job running the gym. My 2 girls that are currently enrolled absolutely love going here. The coaches are so sweet and patient with the kids. I love how they teach them to be confident and they help build their self-esteem. I would highly recommend Tumblestars to anyone looking to put their child in gymnastics.

I had my daughter here for over a year. She absolutely loved it. Then when it came time to choose teams Rebecca played some disgusting games!!! My daughter was absolutely heart broken! I could write how these people really are but I'll just leave it at it's a terrible, money scamming place. Never ever again!!!! Find somewhere that knows your child's worth. This place is not it!

EDITED. After leaving this review on Google. They proceeded to call us multiple times telling him “better watch your tone” and then tried to call his military command for the one star review. Which was the biggest waste of time and everyone agreed was RIDICULOUS for a one star review.
I HATE leaving bad reviews and Would have changed my review after receiving our money back for the class, but after calling us so many times and trying to go up my husband chain of command? This will stay.
My son started at the three year old class. The teacher (Natalie), gave them a circuit and expected them to be able to remember it. After completing one thing, He would go to the next (As a circuit works). I guess that was seen as not listening to them. Which I could not hear what was said and maybe they were told not to go on. In no way am I saying that my son wasn’t at fault. However, I do find it ridiculous that He was sent out to sit with us five minutes before the class was up.
I was a ballet dancer for sixteen years performing in major productions and studying in college. Many of those years included teaching. There’s no reason there should be one teacher to several itty bittys. You cannot expect them to learn an entire circuit and stay in one place for a long period of time.
My husband is an NAIA cheerleading champion and he will be the first to tell you that the older kids that SHOULD be tumbling- aren’t. They are barely able to cartwheel. Technique is so important! Especially in sports like this. No technique can lead to broken bones.
If you read their staff wall, you will see that there are no real credentials other than “they’ve been doing this a long time”.
If you want your kids to be good at gymnastics, please send them somewhere where they can learn technique and teachers know how to teach.

We feel extremely fortunate and blessed that we’ve had the opportunity to send our kids to Tumble Stars. Everyone cares about creating an awesome experience for those kids at every age level. For the team, Coach Rebecca and Coach Ron are excellent teachers and mentors, and they play a big role in helping their girls build confidence for themselves both in and out of the gym. The values they work to instill make us feel so proud to be part of the Tumble Stars family!

We absolutely love tumble stars! Both my girls very first sports experience was with them! It teaches balance, coordination, and self control. I love how they do the stations: they allow the children to do some independently teaching them self confidence but then also help them with the harder ones. All the teachers we have had have been very kind, attentive, but also committed to development.

We love Tumble Stars! They keep the safety of the gymnasts a top priority, are organized, friendly, have a clean facility. I love that they offer classes for all ages and abilities, from those who just want to learn for fun and those who are more serious and want to compete. They go to the National Gymnastics Congress to learn how best to teach and serve their gymnasts, and have a former collegiate gymnast on team staff. They also have several national champion gymnasts every year at Nationals. Such a great place for kids to learn not only gymnastics skills but also listening, following instructions, and respect for other kids and teachers.

Tumble Stars has been the best for our kids! They have always been patient with them when learning something new and make it a fun environment at the same time. With their years of experience and the values they have built their business on, I wouldn’t want our kids to be anywhere else.

All three of my children have attended Tumble Stars at various ages. My daughter started at 5 at this gym and is now 15. They have truly become like family.
Not only are the coaches amazing, they are great role models for the girls. The positive influence that they have had on my daughter is irreplaceable.
As far as the actual gymnastics, they provide safe, age/ability level appropriate workouts for all of the gymnasts from the itty bitty kids all the way to higher level gymnasts. They push the gymnasts to do their best, while making sure they are safe doing so.
Kids do not need to learn how fast they can do higher skills, how much better they can be than others, or that it is not okay to make mistakes. They need a group of people that they trust to help build their character, develop teamwork skills, help them understand that mistakes ARE progress, and integrity is important. That is exactly what you get at Tumble Stars.

My three children all go to tumble stars and have had an amazing experience! We’ve developed close relationships with the owners/coaches and not only are they amazing coaches, but amazing people who have taught our children lifelong lessons and skills they will need for their entire lives. Two of my girls are on the competition team, and our oldest has won multiple medals and was state champion for her division bc of the amazing level of coaching she was given. Hands down the best gymnastics facility around!!

I’m so beyond thankful for Tumblestars and the investment the coaches have made in my daughter’s life in & out of the gym! My daughter has been with Tumble Stars for about 7 years and has learned so much that she has become a coach herself. She has been on the Xcel Team for about 4 years and I notice at competitions our gymnasts rank among the top because of their superior skills and techniques! The coaches really care about each gymnast and tries their best to help each one reach their full potential! If you’re looking for a great gym with awesome people I highly recommend Tumble Stars!

We absolutely love Tumble Stars! We have put both of our children in there since they were around 3-4 years old. My oldest is now 10 and my youngest is 7. I was a little nervous putting our son in there but he absolutely loves it! I am so glad we found this place years ago…wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. The teachers in there are very friendly and they learn so much. Thanks for pouring into our kids!

My daughter has been with Tumblestars since she was about 5 and has loved all the classes, and all the Coaches. She is now 11 and entering her 6th year on the competitive team. She has grown not only as a gymnast at this gym but also as a young lady. I recommend Tumblestars all time to families with young kids. Tumblestars teaches them how to grow not only as a team but as an individual athlete as well. They are a 10/10 gym!

My granddaughter has been going to Tumble Stars since lst grade, she is now in the 5th grade. She was a very shy and not very comfortable around people now she is in competitive gymnastics and we will be traveling to Illinois in a few days, she is so excited and has done very well, for confidence has gone up to the sky and she's loving gymnastics and the staff is wonderful, the coaches are very protective over their students and sure know what they're doing teaching these little ones. I would never ever think about leaving that school!

My child’s experience here was atrocious at best.
They run the gym as if they are under staffed and some children will go without supervision due to the child/instructor ratio.
The stations for the circuit they try to teach children consist of hanging, and walking in circles.
Their coaches have no posted credentials other than experience coaching at this particular gym.
My child was doing a station they had instructed them to and fell, hitting their face on the bar and falling onto the mat. When they tried to tell an adult they had hurt their face, they were just told to go back to the station.
I do not believe their programs are worth the money.
If you want your children to win after you spend your hard earned money for training and competition- I would look elsewhere.

This is the first year for my daughter at this location and let me tell you that this is a really good place. The staff is really friendly and awesome. The location is small compared to other places in the city, but the whole gym is full of good people. I definitely recommend it

They Have Been AMAZING. They have provided answers to every questions I have asked in a very quick time. They have worked with me on moving things around to help me with both of my kids classes. My kids LOVE working with there team. Even though due to the pandemic we haven’t been able to go inside my even 3 year old has felt comfortable going INSIDE by HERSELF. They are excited every class to tell me what they learned. I think this is a great place for kids to learn and have fun.

My 3 girls have been coming here for gymnastics for the last 6 years. They have all learned so much and have developed into awesome little gymnasts. They enjoy coming to every single class and love competing with their teammates at competition. We look forward to many more years of gymnastics in our future and would recommend this gym every time someone asks
