I was impressed by the quality of instruction! I went on a Tuesday and the class wasn't busy so the instructor was able to give each of us personalized attention to help correct our posture and teach us new poses. I really liked that the instruction was more Kinesiology based, because even though I'm a casual yoga participant I had never learned the proper way to align my body and set up the poses correctly. I HIGHLY RECOMEND GOING HERE!

Yoga Lab is truly a special place. I started going to the Monday night class maybe 6 months ago and it's now my favorite way to start my week. The classes are thoughtful and thorough. They are also accessible for all levels. I never feel like I am falling behind or like I am discouraged, I also never feel like I am breezing through class without a challenge. I consistently feel strong and engaged with the practice. I feel truly connected to my body in these classes. Martha always takes the time to let us sit in the moment, in the pose, in the stretch and encourages us to observe how our bodies feel not only in the present but how they change over the course of an hour. Before coming here I hadn't been to an in-person class in maybe 10+ years and was nervous about being the "new person". My fears were quickly quashed as I immediately felt welcomed to the environment. Expect no pretension or posturing, only genuine connection with yourself in both body and spirit. Each and every Monday when I leave class I feel renewed and at peace, ready to take on the rest of my week.

Really nice space. Not very crowded. Instructors are really nice. Great yoga place in the plaza very close to where I live so I get to walk there. I did a regular yoga class on Saturday and Qigong class on Sunday. Felt relaxed and rejuvenated

Yoga lab is a fun, clean, friendly studio. Great for beginners or anyone who enjoys yoga!
I have been going here on and off for several years. This studio allows students in teacher training and new to teaching to teach. They also offer yoga at half the price most all studios just $6 and even have a pay it forward program if someone wants to go but can’t afford it.
It’s in the heart of the plaza district so after yoga you can enjoy some art, food, and shopping 😊

I came over the weekend with a bachelorette party and the treatment that we received was horrendous. Upon discovering what we were celebrating, our instructor (older white male) started to question the bride-to-be by asking how long she and her fiancé have known each other, does he make good money, does he have a good job, and more. This information is absolutely none of his business nor his right to question. His ONLY response to hearing that someone is getting married soon should have been, “Congratulations! I am happy that your group picked our studio to start off your day.” Not the completely unprofessional responses we were given.
The comments got even worse once he discovered that we are all in our young 20’s. He managed to somehow be even ruder after that. Constant comments about how young we were, comments about how young the bride is and if she is sure about her choice, and a few others thrown in there. As a group of 6 younger women, this was disgusting. We may be younger but that did not give the instructor any right to treat as like children. Our instructor kept trying to make jokes while we were focusing on our balance and focus and while I can appreciate trying to break the ice between strangers, his previous actions completely ruined whatever intentions he had with his jokes. There were also several comments about how we must be too young to understand his jokes whenever we wouldn’t laugh at them.
There were several regulars in our class who were given a much different treatment than we were. The regulars were known to the instructor by name. Meanwhile members of my group were known to the instructor as “the bride”, “sister”, “the one with the good glasses”, and worst of all “pretty eyes”.

The actual studio was really nice. They offered mats, blocks, blankets and kept everyone as socially distant as they could with the space they had. Sadly, those factors were not enough to excuse our instructor’s behavior and I will be actively recommending that people (especially younger women) avoid coming to YogaLAB.

The class was not relaxing at all. Constant talking and a passive-aggressive instructor who made a rude remark about my friend's name upon our introduction + continuously called out students who weren’t doing the poses to his liking. Definitely did not feel inclusive/peaceful which is what I’m accustomed to at yoga. Would recommend that the instructors participate in an anti-bias training.

Yoga sessions are $6, which is amazingly affordable. The instructors are still in training to get their certification, I believe, so sometimes they are unclear in their directions or there might awkward pauses as they figure out what the next pose is. If you're looking for super experienced instructors, especially if you want more guidance or maybe have an injury to work around, I would recommend elsewhere. However, if you're looking to drop in for fun to stretch a little or try yoga out then this studio is fine. There's a different instructor each night of the week so you might have to go a few times to find one you like. For the price, I think it's great!

They've been on the block for a while, but I went in for a class for the first time last week. I hadn't practiced yoga in several years and was apprehensive about finding a new place. The environment is clean, attractive and non-distracting, and the three different teachers I've seen so far were wonderful and different enough so that I got something new out of each session. My body and mind are happy with my choice, and I can't believe I hadn't visited sooner. I highly recommend this place, especially if you're new to yoga.

The teachers are relatable, knowlegeable, and passionate about what they do. There’s no competition, no one cares what clothes are on your body as long as you are able to move in them. No one cares that you cant touch your toes, they’ll help you find another way to make the pose work for you! If you’ve never been to a yoga studio before, this is the one you want to try first. This is the one studio where you’ll feel safe trying something new.

This place has been a home to me for almost 3 years now. I love being a student as well as an instructor here. Not only have I seen major improvements in my practice because of the excellent guidance in this place, but it’s such an honor and privilege to see regular students coming and getting stronger each class! The love and care the instructors here give to their students is amazing. So many people make yoga all about “the look” and make it seem that you have to be “super bendy” and “instagram worthy”. But not here. Here you don’t have to be nervous whether you’ll fit in. You walk through the doors, and you’re family, and loved just as you are. One of the MANY reasons I love this place is because people of all shapes, ages, and sizes come through. Not just super young bendy people. It’s about community and sharing the journey of life with each other. If you want to be challenged, grow, and learn things about yourself, I HIGHLY recommend trying out a class. $6 and we have a pay it forward program! What’s there to lose!?

If you think Yoga is glorified stretching, you’re in for a big surprise. The instructors there can tune a session to bring on challenges that are rewarding and refreshing. If you’re interested in LEARNING, how and why your body reacts to YOGA, then this is the Lab for you! If you’re a #instgramyogiwannabe then this is not the place to study. I have learned so much about my body, I have learned proper technique and receive individual attention from every instructors class that I have attended.
AWESOME PLACE TO PRACTICE!!!

I love classes at the YogaLab. It's only $6/ hour, and the instructors are advanced students on their path to yoga teaching certification. I've never had a bad experience, and I've been going almost every week for 1.5 years.

I am not the best Yoga Student. But no matter how long it's been since I've taken a class or how much I struggle with a pose Ted, Martha, Holly and all of the other teachers have always made me feel welcome and safe. I love this Yoga studio and I love the way I feel when I leave a class. Ted & Martha DO have good jokes, though my abs may hurt too much to laugh at them. I would suggest this studio to any body of any age or ability.
