I went for the first time the other day using my new membership. I told the person at the desk that it was my first time. I was lost as far as where everything was and what was available to use. The customer service was non existent. I'm paying for 2 memberships, you would think the place would be more welcoming and informative. The locker room and pool definitely could be cleaner. They did say bye when I left though.

It is a lousy place, they break your locks and steal your things, cars have been stolen when leaving the keys in your locker. the staff is rude, the manager Amanda is very arrogant, the same staff is complicit in so many robberies.
there is no security in anything,
your reports never follow them and they refuse to check the cameras.

If you are disabled do NOT go to 24hr. fitness!!!! None of the ADA equipment works. We tried 2 different locations and neither were ADA friendly. Hoyer lifts for pools don't work. Door to get into pool area has a handle that can't be reached by someone in a wheelchair. My wife was stuck in the pool for over 2 hours waiting for someone to come fix the lift. Totally ridiculous and unacceptable.

20 years ago when I joined this gym it was great. Now it needs to be closed down. Everything dirty, mold/mildew all over the locker rooms. Rampant theives stealing stuff from your locker inside to your car outside. Only thing to fix this place is gasoline and a match.

The staff are phenomenal. From the Kids Club team to the class instructors, but I wanted to recognize and incredible personal trainer, RAZ N. If you have a chance to try a session with him, I would highly recommend it. What started out as a 30 minute free session turned into many sessions after. He formalized a doable plan for me, listened to what I wanted in a workout, educated me and motivated me. He was patient when I started to whine and even let me steer the boat once in a while. He genuinely cares about my progress and checks in when he sees me at the gym. I'm on my way for the first time to a weight and fitness I haven't been at in decades! Thank you Raz for your dedication!

I have been a member of 24 fitness over 10 years, this location have the worst manager ever. Her name is Amanda K. I brought a guest with me to work out, she lied saying that this location doesn’t allowed any guest pass. I went online got 3 days pass for this location but she denied us to get in. I won’t come to this location ever!!!

Although it meets the standard if a gym it’s probably in one of the worst locations. I’ve had my car stolen from the parking lot out front. Got little to no help from the staff on hand. The gym is really dirty all the time, grime in almost every corner of the gym. It’s extremely under maintained and lacks cleanliness. Over all I avoid this gym as much as possible. Not only that but you have to sign out basketballs in order to shoot some hoops. Was asked for my id which I refuted and then was asked to trade in my water bottle πŸ˜‚

Used to be a member here years ago. Thought about coming back so got a free 3 day pass online to check the place out again. Showed up and since I was a member here already (4-5 years ago) they said they wouldn’t honor the pass but I could be a member again for 25-40 dollars a month. Pretty lame and honestly probably for the best. Place didn’t smell great and doesn’t look nearly as nice as a most planet fitness locations where memberships are $10 a month. Also their hours say 5 am to 10 pm so not sure why they have 24 hour in their name. Won’t ever give this place another chance

Tried to access a 3 day trial membership advertised on the website. When I go there I was told they don't accept it despite the website saying they do. I definitely won't be using this gym. Don't lie to your potential customers. The front desk person was kind so I in no way blame them. The management of this facility should be on the same page as corporate. Don't advertise services you don't provide.

Not recommended! It used to be 24 hours, but no idea when they are going to be again.Honestly I like to work out here.but since the COVID,I have to decide cancel my membership.and next the thing mad me happed which make me never come back. Usually I was charged the annual fee around September, but I was charged for next year annual fee right 1 day before my cancellation. I went to manger, and I was told there was nothing they can do! I very appreciate their hard work during this hard time, but I am really expecting more comfort and nice environment for everyone like workout!

Employees are not reinforcing rules in place to protect gym goers during the COVID 19 pandemic. When I called the gym to ask about how they are going to enforce the polices they’ve put in place, I was told that it would be a β€œturn off” to β€œpolice” members to follow the rules. They are not prioritizing the health and safety of their members and employees, and I would not recommend working out at this location during this time.

24 hour mall 205 has a decent plan for reopening safely but since it is unenforced and their employees don’t even bother to follow it, it is useless. Although the doors were locked until my appointed time, once inside both employees at the front desk did not keep their masks on even when speaking to people checking in. Many folk walked through check in with a mask then took it off once past the front desk or kept their nose hanging out which basically makes it useless as well. So very disappointed and disgusted with 24, guess I won’t be back. Watched employee after employee going maskless

Everything from the hand dryers in the locker room to the workout machines and treadmills are routinely broken and seem to take an unusually long time to repair. The sauna is a health hazard- there was literally blood on the floor for the entire time I was at the gym last week (reported it to staff, but apparently it wasn’t a priority). I’m sure there are better gyms in Pdx, I don’t know why I’ve punished myself for so long by going here.

We are so lucky to have this 24 Hour Fitness hosting some incredible fitness instructors! Let me share why so many of us think this way about this 24 Hour Fitness location. WE DANCE.
We dance on Saturdays for an hour with Rosy in Zumba. Rosy's personal style of Zumba is beyond what you might imagine a Zumba class to be, it's Hip Hop, Island, Latin, Rock or whatever wonderful collaboration she pulls together for a high intensity cardio workout that drenches us to the core making it one of the best cardio routines found in Portland! It gets your heart rate up and they are SUPER FUN!
If that were it, we'd be happy but they do so much with the instructors at this club. They do International INSPIRE Dance festivals that last three weeks in April, and it's simply amazing. The instructors come together and throw 90 minute dance parties, they are just incredible! I dropped inches and pounds from those weeks and I had a blast doing it!
At this club, the management staff have allowed the 90 minute dance parties to take over the basketball court with up to four instructors that work together so well for this amazing 90 minute compilation that keeps us moving, it's fantastic!
I just want everyone at this club and all the instructors, especially Rosy Homan, to know how much these classes have done for me. I am so much more fit than I would be otherwise and I continue to push my own limits because these classes inspire me. Thank you all, thank you for your dedication to your customers! <3

There was a β€œfree” guest day for a Zumba class. Except they then wanted me to sign up for a 7 day trial, which isn’t bad but I didn’t want to do it yet because I can’t use the trial right now. It’s very misleading to make it seem like guests are welcome then pull that bs. They should have been upfront and I didn’t have a photo id since I didn’t know they’d make me do that. The front desk guy was not helpful and was curt. I literally turned around and left. Don’t go here

Cars get broken into every week in the parking lot and the gym says they can’t do anything about cameras or security.

Worst gym EVER. GO TO MUV FITNESS INSTEAD.
Me and my wife signed up at the same time. We specifically signed us both up for a MONTH TO MONTH contract. Luckily we went for about 10 months until I tore some ligaments and tendons in my knee. When we called and went in to cancel our monthly membership, we were then told we were on a yearly contract and they can not cancel it, so we ended up having to pay them for the months I couldnt even physically walk, even though we specifically asked for a month to month and made sure that was the agreement we were signing.. The front staff are completely incompetent and are rude and dont pay attention to anything. They hire prissy little fairies to work there. This is the worst gym I have ever been to.

It's hard when people don't have "Gym Ettiquette", I know, but I do hate spending 15 minutes having to round up the free weights for a bench station only to have other members take them away off the back in the middle of a set. Least the staff could do are their walk-arounds to gather and place them relatively back where they should be if they're not being utilized. Wondering why I pay $40/month when there are definitely cheaper options around. 😑😑

I received the worst customer service here. I tried to cancel my membership back in January. They said it was taken care of and I didn't need to do anything else. A few months later I noticed monthly charges and the $49.99 annual fee on my credit card. I was able to call membership services and get my monthly charges refunded, but they said the local club was in charge of refunding my annual fee and somebody would call me. Of course, nobody ever did. I ended up calling member services 4 additional times and going into the club 4 times, and they each kept telling me the other was supposed to help me. Extremely disappointing that nobody would take the initiative to do anything for me.

I know for a fact Aubrey at the front desk never canceled my account like she said she would. Manager Ann was rude and seemed not at all concerned about everything I had gone through and the fact that this was her employee's fault. This was their mistake and nobody would admit it.

My husband is a local physical therapist and will be sharing this experience with his patients and recommending they don't get memberships at any 24 Hour Fitness locations.

You'd think for a large company they would have better customer service and care about their customers more. This isn't even a nice gym. It's always dirty, has broken equipment that doesn't get fixed, and there are leaks from the roof that pool on the ground. I only went here because it was close to my house. Hopefully they can use the money they stole from me to make some repairs. Definitely never going back to this gym or any other 24.

A nice gym with good equipment and classes. The staff is extremely nice and helpful-- I'm not sure why others had bad experiences, maybe there were some people who used to work there and no longer do? It's not a super sport location, so there isn't tons of space. I can't speak for what it's like in the evenings, because my schedule only allows for daytime workouts. And re: seeing trans women in the locker room-- guess what, Portland is maybe not the best place to live if you're transphobic. And it's not 24 Fitness's responsibility to cater to anyone's prejudices but rather to follow state and federal law, which is what they do.

Great customer service. Kept clean and inviting. Layout is open and crowds are not to bad. The music and tv volumes need to get under control but that's just my opinion.

I've only been going here for a few weeks, but in comparison to the 24 in my old town, this place is great.

I haven't had much interaction with staff outside of touring the first day since I was new to the area -the guy who showed me around was great. I love that this gym has a sauna, steam room and pool. They have a decent amount of equipment and just installed a psuedo-grass training area with ropes. They have TRX and all the basic machines. Their free-weights are fine and they have plenty of room for stretching and group activities.

This is a smaller gym in general but they can't all be big. Only drawbacks I've noted so far are:
- none of the cardio machines don't' have fans and there are vents immediately overhead
- the showers in the ladies aren't enclosed at bottom so the water tracks out to the main sink area -just have to walk carefully from pool/showers
- no spikey foam rollers, but no 24 has them (SAD...lol)

Management was extremely rude when I brought up an issue. The Manager I spoke with seemed to not care at all. That is the last time I will work out on all that broken and old equipment!

The manager, Violet, is so rude you'll never want to come back to this gym. I now refuse to give my business to 24 hour because of her inability to manage the gym in an effective and friendly way.

It's like all the other 24-hour fitness Sport out there. That is, it's a 24-Hour Super Sport minus the towel service, but more paper towel dispensers and cheaper membership cost. I suppose if you wanna pay a few more bucks for towels instead of bringing your own and/or using paper towels then go to a Super Sport version. This will suffice for those that go to the gym who actually think it's for training, getting a really good workout is the priority and it's your lifestyle. Not-because you're "doing something because you're bored", into people-watching, like to pretend you just did something even though half your time is spent tooling with your phone; or worse you're neurotic and like to look at the mirror thinking you're all that, because you just-did set and your muscles feel buff. If you wanna be pampered like at a club resort sort-of-place, then no, this place will disappoint. I've been a member of 24-hour fitness since the early 90's when they were called 24-Hour Nautilus. Well, I was a member of Family Fitness Center (and at Easton Gym) down in LA and 24-Hour Nautilus bought Family Fitness Centers out. At some point some private equity firm took over and it pretty much went down hill from there even if they expanded like mad. This particular site is part of that expansion. Long gone are the old 24-hour fitness regular clubs and replaced by some marketing scheme called "Sport" and "Super-Sport" so they can charge you extra in return for towel service that many original sites used to have; and being able to go to other 24-hour clubs, which they used to offer before the whole "Sport" thing anyway. Unfortunately, 24HF hasn't quite adapted to current times and I suspect other clubs out there (e.g. Crunch, Anytime Fitness, Snap and etc.) are probably going to syphon some members with their similar gyms at cheaper memberships for the same access privileges; think $10 a month instead of $29 minus the 24-hour fitness trainers pretending to be your friend to get you to purchase some training sessions and then annoyingly put weights wherever they feel like it after training someone instead of returning it to their proper spots. Saying all that, this particular club has all the things needed for a proper training regimen (bodybuilding to Triathlons) that I can't afford to have at my house. My monthly membership of $25 I got back in the 90's to use all the "Sport Club" level and below (which I'm not sure still exists) anywhere in the world at any time they're open is essentially a "rental fee" for the equipment I don't have room for or don't want to spend the money on at home. Sure, I have a bunch of workout equipment at home, but there's no way I'm going to spend thousands for 45-pound plates, bars, Hammer Machines, dipping machines, cables and pulleys...oh my...not to mention treadmills and bikes for the winter/rainy months up in the PacNW! Just the treadmills and stair climbers themselves is worth it for me, because those things don't last with all the mechanical issues they have that your measly warrantee isn't going to cover! So, outside the first-world problems like towel service, attentive staff, security, crowds and all that stuff, it's a decent place to work out. My only 3 complaints are 1st world problems too: 1. hexagonal weight plates (for me, terrible for deadlifts even if it safer to reduce unintentional "travelling") and 2. the lack of covered parking spaces (hey, I like my car protected from the elements; besides covered parking is warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer than exposed ones); and 3. lockers used to be full length then 24HF remodeled a bunch of 24HF's and cut the lockers in half; I use two anyway and lock both when I'm at the 205 24HF, because let's face it, this 24HF is near Gresham and Gresham is not the same as the Pearl or Downtown PDX. I don't use the sauna, basketball court and I use an Olympic sized pool near where I live so I don't use that either in any 24-hour fitness facilities to comment on those.

Decent place to work out. Like the sauna etc. Avoid busy times. NOT forthright about membership rules, cancelations, and suspensions. Also will try to force sale you into something you dont want after asking a simple question so you just leave pissed never having used your free trainer sessions. Sales people take too much pre-workout I guess. Go to costco and get a membership at half off instead of paying these fools.

Place always seems decently clean. Instead of using towels for the machines, they use paper towels (for people who may be confused on what kind of "towel" this place provides). Busier than I thought at night with like ~3 people on cardio machines and ~4 people lifting weights at midnight and 4AM which is fine.

It's not as bad as people make it out to be, maybe expectations are too high. This is a sport club, not a super sport. So coming here and looking for towels is quite funny. You should have a towel in your bag anyways.

It's an older gym, the equipment is not bad, the staff is friendly.

It could use and update, and the GNAT problem addressed near the water fountain near the sauna and pool. As well washing the steam room out once and awhile.

Would be 5 stars if they were super sport club (towels provided). I like the pool at this 24 Hour Fitness better than the super sport gyms nearby. It's seems much warmer. Smaller atmosphere which I like. Classes I've taken are great. Being able to go to the different locations is great for me. I circulate between four of them!!

This is the gym I go to. Honestly it's overpriced.
The staff seem to be unknowledgeable, and at night you can find them playing video games at the main desk.
I just go here because this gyms schedule fits with the hours I need, due to working all night.
They get three stars because the bathrooms/ locker room is clean. The showers work.
That's all I need.

Their name needs to be changed to 14-16 Hour Fitness. The main workout floor is always open, but many of the other amenities are not. Customer service is shoddy and apathetic. I can't tell you how many times I've heard, "If you come back tomorrow.." They might as well not be there.

Other locations might be worth it, but this specific location is not worth the asking price. Skip.

This location is awful. Staff was SO rude and literally just sat on the counter and stared blankly at me while I was asking them a question and then never moved, just sat in the same spot the entire hour and a half I was there. Also, not a towel in sight so I can't imagine how extra gross the machines are. Seriously though, it's like a gym run by Little Cesars fired burnouts. Lame.

Most of the employees here are helpful but spend allot of time talking then dealing with gym issuses. A great example is allot of times guys will stand right next to the entrance of the womens room watching them. They're always in groups of 2-3 there is nooooooo way the employees can't see this and should even wait for someone to say something.

Some girls and guys literally like to walk in and do some sort of weird peacocking? They wear revealing clothing and only workout if they can see others staring at them lol it's sooo weird!

Gym can get busy but with patience you'll be just fine. Plenty of machines, benches and workout equipment. Staff friendly but average in terms of customer service. Biggest issues is the horribly unkept unsanitary locker room, sauna and steam rooms.

I've been searching for a new gym since relocating to Portland, OR. I stopped by this location on Feb. 2 - Around 9:30pm. LITERALLY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER RECEIVED. The counter was run by a young Asian boy and a young girl with dyed-red hair. They were the rudest people I have ever met in the customer service industry. The girl's first words to me were "What do you want?" After being presented with the paperwork for my guest pass, she told me "Hurry up with that. I don't have long to help you." After her and the Asian boy argued back and forth, she eventually stormed off. He 'assisted me' in finishing up the application process. He was completely apathetic and acted quite inconvenienced by every customer I saw him interact with. How do kids like this get hired? DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS GYM.

Worse place to go: they never listen You, always care only to make their promo, very aggressively , do not care about discount you have, telling how much charge you only after contract was signed ( before signing said only $40, after signing, said, "oh, you will pay twice $40") , instead "freeing account , because I am out of city - charge me double payment! Never ever go here! They care only how to take your money, not about You.
Review window does not work properly - do not let You make your post simply.
