My go to gym! I’ve been to at least 4-5 24 hour locations all over the Portland area and this is my favorite one. Love the open space and easy parking.

ONE OF THE DIRTIEST CLUBS I'VE EVER SEEN. READ BELOW
My wife and I went to check out the gym having just moved to the area and did a workout on a guest pass.
First impression was ok. Clearly an older club but good equipment mix and facilities. I don't mind equipment that's a little older and don't need the latest and flashiest. But after spending an hour and a half working out and then seeing the locker room and sauna we couldn't get out of there fast enough.
A high volume gym like this needs to be cleaned regularly and it looked like the there has been VERY little of that going on which we heard whispers among members confirming that.
The locker room floors were ATROCIOUS and the sauna was worse. After 5 minutes of sitting there the "cleaning crew" came in there to "clean up" which was him pushing around brown dirty water with a squeegee trying to push it into a drain that is higher than the rest of the tile floor. We were so grossed out we left.
Then, as if it couldn't be worse, when I was in the locker room after exiting the sauna, that same "cleaning crew" member walked into the locker room and I watched him in the mirror SPIT on the locker room floor and stomp it with his foot like he was putting out a cigarette.
24 Hour Fitness corporate should be ashamed that they have that little respect for their members to be so cheap that they would allow the club to be in this state. I'm betting there are a long list of health code violations waiting to be uncovered.

I came here tonight to try out a new gym since they seem to have great amenities and prices, but I actually ended up leaving and won't ever be returning. This gym is very dirty and they definitely do not clean. The equipment itself is dirty, under the equipment has hair and trash, the bathrooms were dirty and smell, there was evidence of mold in the showers, etc. There was dental floss and hair along the ground that had clearly been there for quite some time. I thought maybe I came at a bad time, but in looking at all the reviews that are negative over the past year or two, it all mentions the cleanliness of this gym. The management comments they are increasing the cleaning efforts, but it's apparent that has never happened. Honestly the steam room and bathrooms are a health hazard. Paying someone to actually clean this gym would go a long way. Just as an additional FYI, you also need to pay for the lockers or bring a lock.

I have been a 24 Hour Fitness member for a few years. I recently relocated to the Tualatin area and started playing basketball, attending yoga classes (for the first time ever) and working out every other day here. I find the atmosphere very comfortable, the staff quite friendly and the facilities clean. I was also very impressed in observing the personal trainers patiently assisting other members. I also have spoken with the manager, Daniel, who was very helpful and considerate. I would highly recommend 24 Hour Fitness, in Tualatin, to those who are interested in a quality gym experience.

I want to give a big shout-out to Samantha at the front desk 24 Fitness. She is absolutely amazing. Every time I walk in, she welcomes me with genuine warmth and professionalism. She’s friendly, helpful, and always has great energy that makes the whole place feel inviting.
Samantha goes above and beyond, whether it’s answering questions, helping with check-in, or just making sure everyone feels comfortable. It’s rare to meet someone who treats every guest with this level of care. She’s an awesome person and a huge part of why I enjoy coming here.
Highly recommend this location thanks to her!

I’ve been going to this gym regularly for several years and have been saddened by how dirty and neglected it’s become. There have been 2 lights out on the basketball court for months. When I asked about it at the front desk, I was told that they would probably never be replaced because cooperate is too cheap. Sigh. The bathrooms are regularly gross and the gym floor is often dangerously dusty and slippery.

I have only great things to say about this 24 hour fitness. The staff has been so kind to me and helping me fix my fitness needs. The machines are very well taken care of and I can’t thank the team enough for helping me achieve my fitness goals. I hated coming to the gym, but now I feel so welcomed. I will not go to another gym or a different location.

While I enjoy the classes it seems there is a lack of instructors. Joanna, Nina, Kristin and Michelle are
all great instructors, but if anyone leaves on vacation there is no one to cover them.
Those classes that are offered, are often crowded as well as people that show up as late as fifteen minutes after the class as started and it is very disruptive as well as rude.
Maybe the doors should have a sign on them that the class has started and please don’t interrupt

I signed up here because it had a variety of machines, but they don't provide maintenance, or when they do, it takes too long. I've had my locker stolen twice, and not just mine. Both times, everyone's lockers were stolen by breaking the locks, and the management doesn't do anything. I'm canceling my membership and moving to LA FITNESS.

The night manager Samantha is the best and coolest, this 24 doesn't believe in cleanliness, janitors, or hiring any maintenance staff. Upkeep slowing down, showers are pretty bad. They got a bball court tho!! Waiiiiit.... they want to close it down between 11pm-5am for some reason. Used to love this club and it was my favorite. We have been coming to the Tigard location for almost 20 years and the past 5 years it has turned into a different gym. It is complete filth. The basketball court has been complained about for years by dozens of us. There is dirt built up that has been there for years on the court and they refuse to clean it no matter how many managers you ask, they recently got two new managers after Justin and they both promised to clean it and never ever do. The locker room and steam room / sauna areas are also disgusting and don’t look like they’ve ever been cleaned. A little maintenance or cleaning would go a long way.

This place should be not be open to the public, the amount of rust and mold in the pool area is astonishing, this should be illegal to operate, it’s hard to breathe in the basketball court because of the amount of dust in there and you can’t even play basketball so the majority of basketball players don’t even come anymore and cancelled their memberships, they have never cleaned it and refuse to, spoke with Daniel and the new manager and they almost laugh it off. This place has lawsuit all over it.

Don't get me wrong I love having a 24 hour to go to and it has a lot of great equipment.... unfortunately it feels especially to the touch that is has never been cleaned. If you arrive be sure to wipe down what you are using FIRST! these are pictures from today and they look like this every time I go. I took a couple month break and the sweat stains on the stairs master are the same. I dont use them because it is so gross but I would love to! The reason I opted to leave a review was because I dropped a piece of trash in the locker room floor and thought they would pick it up with the next cleaning shift but it is in the same spot the next day! A whole days worth of people have been through those locker rooms and the floors are not cleaned! Just a warning ⚠️ bring athletes foot spray, whipe everything down and use the hand sanatizer if you are going here 👌

One of the better ones for the overall franchise but it would be nice if they used the app's push notifications to let you know when the gym is closed.
Went in super early today, only to find out that someone didn't show up for their shift. Wouldn't it be relatively simple to send out a notification that the location you last checked in at is closed?

Terrible experience with this location. I have scheduled my free training session three times now, each time it is either not on their schedule or the trainer does not show up. I really love 24 Hour Fitness. The gym has a great atmosphere, solid equipment, and it helps me stay motivated and consistent. It’s one of the best places I’ve trained, and I genuinely enjoy coming here.
That said, I have to mention one issue: during the summer, the gym gets packed with kids who are more focused on their phones than working out. I’ve seen teens sitting on machines for 10–15 minutes just watching TikTok or texting, while others are waiting to actually use the equipment. It really slows everything down and throws off the flow for people who are serious about training.
It would be great if 24 Hour Fitness considered setting time limits for youth access during peak hours or enforcing gym etiquette more strictly. I’m all for everyone getting fit—but there should be respect for the space and others trying to get in a solid workout.
Still a great gym overall—I just hope management can step in and make it even better for all members.

Every time I go here, Fox News is plastered on some of the TVs. I don’t think news or even TVs should be in gyms, but no matter how many times I have the front desk people change the channel, the next day it’s back. So either management keeps turning it back or another patron is, but either way it turns the gym into just another stressor rather than any sort of stress-relief. I will be cancelling my membership and finding another gym so that I can work out in peace.

6/9/25 11:10 am. 2 older men recording and making tik toks in the men's locker room and I couldn't change. I asked them to not record inside the locker and they said it's only tik tok and it's not a big deal. They started yelling at me and recording me calling me names cursing me out. There were other men changing in the room too. No manager anywhere. I talked to the front desk, and they said there nothing we could do. Justin, the manager, said he was unavailable and hung up.

I signed up about 2 years ago. The price was cheap so I thought why not sign up. But.... I quickly noticed Justin, the club manager, didn't really care about running the gym at the time. Fast forward -
In the last 6 months the gym has completely fallen in disrepair. There is so much diarrhea sprayed all over the bathroom it's beyond nasty - it's a health hazard. My wife said it's even worse in the women's bathroom - someone sprayed the ceiling along with the walls, floor ect... The staff said it's not their problem to clean it up. Are you kidding me? They need to get port-a-pottys for people that are destroying the bathrooms every day. YUK!
The gym is beyond filthy - there are piles of hair, vomit and who knows what all over the place. If you use a machine and then get up you'll be covered in a nasty mess. I've had to throw out 3 t-shirts because it's not possible to wash it.
Between my wife and myself we've had over $800 dollars of our property stolen. Air pods, cell phone, jacket, shoes ect... We mention to Justin, the manager, he said he doesn't care - it's a public gym.
Within 5 minutes of visiting the gym you'll see how disgusting the place is on the inside. One member said there's been an outbreak of measles at the gym. Another member said there's been 5 people taken to the hospital because they got a skin infection from the germs on the equipment. Flesh eating bacteria is no joke - good way to lose an arm or leg.
I hope the health dept stops by for a visit soon. I know KGW news and several other agencies are investigating 24 Hour Fitness in Tualatin.
I cannot recommend this gym. I quit and left for a better gym last week. No thanks!

I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience with 24 Hour Fitness at 17942 SW McEwen Road in Tigard.
During an extremely difficult time in my life—my husband underwent open-heart surgery and I lost my mother, which required me to travel internationally for her funeral—I was away for three weeks and unable to use the services I was being charged for. Despite these unforeseen circumstances, I was automatically charged nearly $700 for services that were never scheduled or used.
I reached out to the management team hoping for some understanding and a fair resolution. Unfortunately, I was met with a rigid and impersonal response, lacking empathy or flexibility. I understand that businesses have policies and contracts, but I also believe that basic human compassion should come into play when someone is facing genuine hardship.
I was told refunds were possible under specific criteria, but those criteria were never clearly explained to me. In our effort to resolve this matter professionally, we attempted to contact General Manager Justin Sun multiple times—without success. We have since reached out to KGW Channel 8’s Kyle Iboshi to share our story and are now posting this review to help others make an informed decision.
I still hold out hope that someone at 24 Hour Fitness will step up and do the right thing. Until then, I cannot recommend this location to anyone—especially if you value support, understanding, and ethical business practices during life’s most challenging moments.

The overhead digital clock and a TV have been broken here for months. When I asked the front desk if they were going to fix them, I got a flat out “the manager says no”. The older equipment is rusted, loose and peeling. The bathroom and locker area is moldy around the baseboards and filthy. It’s a shame, the gym is a great layout and has good amenities. But there’s a serious lack of upkeep and maintenance that seems to just be getting worse. Do not recommend.
I have no idea how anyone could give this place 5 stars. The pictures tell the story.

May 2025 Update: They have a QR code up by doors asking for good reviews rather than addressing what members are leaving poor reviews about. My original review was posted Jan 2024, the TV over the weights and hanging clock have been broken that entire time. The vent above the weights is fuzzy with filth. Cleaning wise, they’ve been vacuuming and occasionally mopping. No real ownership over the facilities. There are two better gym options for the price less than 3 minutes away. Disgusting location. You’ll see other reviews from weeks or months ago calling out the floor being coated in dirt, grime, and mold along any locker room surface. The faucets are loose, the air dispensers are all terribly placed and low impact, the vents and air system have to be backed up with dust and probably mold blowing out to members. Every bit of tile has nasty stuff in it, the floor ways are perpetually covered in dirt and dust, as are all the equipment. Dispensers are frequently out. Find a gym that respects its members health and membership.

Of all the 24 hr fitness in the area. This location is BY FAR the worst for swimmers. I would give it zero starts but im unsure if thats even possible in here.
1. Swinmers that come here will go above and beyond to ignore you if youre waiting for a lane.
Apparently the idea of sharing a lane here is comical the way people will look up and away ti pretend they don't see you waiting.
2. Water aerobics students are usually very polite but theres a small group of asian women in particular that always feel the need to make it known theyve been doing their class for years and will actively try and bully people out of "their lane" and will outloud say "they can share" referring to lap swimmers leaving people sitting on the sidelines with a pool not close to capacity.
Pool cleanliness is pretty poor, theres mold everywhere and i see them cleaning it but not much actual effort to keep it decent, and dont get me started on the showers. Those are pretty nasty.
I come from the gladstone 24 hr fitness where its much cleaner and the patrons are actually kind and greet you with good mornings. It was such a drastic difference switching to this gym.
Just trying to warn fellow swimmers. Avoid this gym until after 2pm if youre a swinmer otherwise youll probably just have a not good time.
Rant over and I'll be making the extra 15 min drive to a different club to avoid this toxic human collection of entitled patrons.

Everything was so filthy. Please hire a cleaning crew, and have at least one of your employees at the front desk cleaning. It would make such a difference if you kept this good gym clean.

The male at the front desk is super rude, I scan in and he yells out really loudly “ did you check in.” I had done it in front of his eyes cmon. I go back four minutes after to ask for a squatting pad and he slams it onto the counter, he truly needs to be re-trained. I have never had a problem with any other employee. (June 15, around 10:10)

Stopped going to 24 Fitness in 2020 after living in Salem where the only 24 was very unkempt. Did a stint at LA and came back to this 24 HR about six months ago. On two occasions in the past six months, I’ve left my soap in the shower on top of the soap dispenser and it was there the next evening. So how often do the showers get cleaned? Clearly not daily. This gym is kinda gross. Thinking about coughing up a little for Bay Club or something.

This is a dirty, filthy gym. I'm not sure they have anyone who cleans the gym anymore. The floors don't look like they ever get vacuumed.
They used to have paper towels & disinfectant spray available. Not anymore - the dispensers are empty more than they are stocked.

My first time at a gym.. Ever. I’m 43, totally new to working out and here alone and I’ll break it down for you. My company provided me a universal memebership. Walked in, told the guy my name and that’s it. Checked in. I’m really blown away by the amount of senior citizens with incredible stamina. They will outpace you, don’t be jealous. Don’t have an ego either. Climb on a treadmill and casually observe how people use the machines and then pick your poison. All different walks of life here. Very mellow, no dirty looks or judgement. Keep in mind even though I’m not familiar with gyms, this place has been accommodating very sweaty people for years, bathrooms used by hundreds of people a day for just as long. My standards are in the middle and there was nothing offending about the cleanliness of the place. I’m glad this is the first place I get to figure out the process. There’s definitely an etiquette you should follow and it’s all common sense. Be self aware, but not self conscious. And wipe down a machine after use. Every time. Even if you didn’t sweat. Also, even as a newbie I can’t stress how important it is to try and make sure you focus on the symmetry of your workout. Don’t go fast, and work out your muscle groups evenly. Stretch first.

Went in for a tour, instantly walked out. The dude and girl up front gave me a snobby glare and continued to converse until I interrupted. Barely said a thing, horrible vibe all around. Also if you want a bunch of high school peaks or D6 hoopers running the court, might be the place for you. Cant see anyone going in playing casually or getting a good workout.

No AC very hot and stagnant air inside the gym, also cleaning doesn’t seem up to par in the restrooms especially the handicap ones . There is a smell of old urine in them like the wall tiles and floor have never seen cleaning products. Hopefully with the amount of money that all the members pay, they will get a working AC installed and properly sanitize their facilities.

This gym is fairly clean especially in comparison to other 24 hours in the area but the equipment is extremely old. Plus, the kid working at the desk is a rude dude - Andrew I think? He was immediately frustrated when I asked where the clamps for the bars in the workout room were. Apparently you can use the weights and bars in there but NOT the clamps which means the weights can very easily fall off the edge of the bar and hurt you or someone else and /or damage the floor… Doesn’t make sense but I’ll be sure to bring my own clamps next time and try to avoid Andrew’s attitude at all costs! The manager Savannah didn’t make any sense and wasn’t kind or helpful either. Update to the response from the “owner” - I did fill out something on that website and no one has reached out to me.

Recently got a 6 month membership and well I called today to see what I can do about upgrading my membership to multiple facilities and buddy passes. Unfortunately, this is a no go and should I want to "upgrade" I have to cancel my members ship with a $50 dollar service fee, then get in charged all the service fee's and annual fee's for a different package. Not really customer friendly and or centric in my opinion. Anything to nickel and dime I guess.

This used to be my favorite 24 Hour fitness in 2018-2022 but lately it’s been full of minors that run around misusing the equipment and ruining the vibe for the people there to workout.
I wish that the employees could stop that from happening but I’m really not sure what the policies are on that.
It has also gotten way dirtier and it’s just sad to see the quality go down here. It has the best selection of machines still.

Fairly dirty gym. I went here years ago and remember it being spotless. The equipment is definitely aging, the atmosphere is congested, and the gym is pretty dirty in general.
The showers were absolutely disgusting. I cancelled my membership since after a year, it has only gotten worse.

I've been coming to this gym since it was first opened. The staff are still good people, but it's really gone downhill especially since the pandemic induced bankruptcy. It's never been terribly clean since then on the workout floor and equipment maintenance has fallen behind. The worst is the cleanliness of the locker room and restroom. It desperately needs a deep cleaning, not a spritz. I long for the cleanliness of my high school locker room, and I never thought that would happen.
It's also oversold. I try to avoid going after work because it's too crowded. There's just too much demand for certain workouts. I went tonight and the parking lot was so full, it was like going to Costco before a holiday. It's the first time I have turned around and went home.
Update 1 month later:
Still very gross in the men's room. Deep cleans have not been done.

For being a "Super Sport" branch of 24Hour, there are so many disappointing aspects...
1- The Front Desk staff is very hit or miss in the customer service. None of them know my name (without verifying on the screen) despite me going there for about a year. Also, I know they're required to say "hi" and "bye" to every member, which is fine. I just wish that they would actually follow through with this. It seems like the only way to get any real attention or interaction is to purchase something or have a question. This would not be an entirely bad thing if they didn't actively socialize so much with other members.
2- The club always feels so dirty. The locker room is especially bad. There's always funky odors, and late at night there are even these tiny little flying bugs in the showers. The steam room has always stinks in some fashion as well.
3- The sweat towels and shower towels are a nice touch. But the shower towels are so tiny. They're more like floor mats. I get you wouldn't want to sink your budget on such an ancillary feature, but that's really the best they could do?
4- The parking situation is always terrible, unless you go at a super early or super late time. Otherwise the only spots left are the ones that are too small for even a compact car. It's hard to be mad at people who park in two spots because most of the time that the only way they can fit there.
5- The club feels outdated in a lot of ways. The exercise machines and other equipment are visibly old. Some are almost in a constant state of "repair/out of order."
For the "top end" club, I would expect a lot more polish.
Compare all of this to the 24Hour on Murray Scholls where I came from: The desk staff know me by name and are super friendly. The club feels more clean and welcoming. Also, the parking spaces are much more agreeable to all car and truck types. They may not have complimentary towels, but it's really not that hard to bring my own. This is a club type that is technically a step down in the 24hour hierarchy, but it's superior in every aspect that I have mentioned.
My recommendation: For travelers, I recommend getting a car and making the trip up to the Beaverton branch instead (if it's an option). For local: just get a sport membership and make the trip, or find a different gym in the area. For what you have to pay, this gym just doesn't live up to the standards. I will definitely be cancelling my super sport here in the near future, and possibly my entire 24hour membership if something better in the area shows up.

While it’s not the closest to me, this could be a great location. However much like the standard at 24hr fitness they are not committed to cleanliness and the health of its members. It was not as bad as the one in Murray Hill, but give it time. The big balls of dust on the basketball court will soon become tumble weed when a gust of wind blows. The cleaning crew was in the men’s room while I was there showering and getting dressed. He had a spray bottle and spritzing the showers and spent less time cleaning them than he did washing his gloved hands after each spritz. The vents as pictured were disgusting and the mold along the walls and curtains shows the new standard for 24 hrs fitness.

Very crowded during peak hours, it's often a 10+ minute wait to bench and sometimes a wait for a power rack from 4-7 PM. Would recommend if you can avoid busy times.
Edit: Crowding is absolutely insane during the after work rush now. If you work out 4-8 PM weekdays avoid this location! And their AC doesn't keep up even in the winter, it gets very warm and humid inside.

Very disappointed in the pool water temperature. I swim laps. Have been out of town since July. Today, Oct.24, pool was noticeably colder than before. The ladies entering the pool for their group exercise session also commented on the pool temperature. I understand your corporate leaders decided to lower the goal temperature by 3 degrees (83 to 80). Both LA Fitness and Club Spot are comfortably warmer. I may choose to return to one of those facilities.

This gym isn’t worth it anymore. The equipment is always broken. Cars are broken into constantly when left. Items are always stolen. Fights break out constantly in the basketball court and so many homeless people sleep in the back areas and the staff don’t care and allow it. The worst of all is that a few months back some grown men were trying to bring kids out into the parking lot to be taken away and an investigation occurred because of this. Once confronted by staff the guy pulled a weapon on them. The staff are incredibly rude and disrespectful. This club shouldn’t exist anymore honestly

The gym is fine, equipment is great.
However, I joined a strength training class on Saturday morning at 9am. I am an absolute newer person and don't know anything about working out. The front counter person said this was beginner focused and would help me start. I was hoping to have some direction or guidance.
The instructor Kristen was absolutely unwelcoming. Huffed when I asked what I needed to do to set up. She just said get your stuff and weights, I walked to the cubby room and was perplexed by everything and what I was staring at. I had no clue what to do and at this point I'm already embarrassed because everyone was staring at me like "How do you not know?"
I just walked out.

I'll preface this by saying I'm no neat freak or germophobe. But,
I'm here all the time and it's getting more and more painful. The bathrooms are DISGUSTING. The men's room the other day had no hand soap whatsoever and that's really great for a gym. I feel like disposing of my shoes after using the urinal. I've been a regular here since it opened as a Lance Armstrong Sport and I'm getting really upset by the lack of cleanliness. I'm only giving it 2 stars because the equipment while dirty, is abundant.

This is an excellent choice, especially for the area that is decidedly sparse of gyms. LA Fitness increased their prices over the pandemic and is really cramped and Bay Sport adds an extra zero at the end of their price tag.
This gym is spacious, lots of room between the equipment, lots of squat racks, plenty of cable machines, treadmills, elliptical, etc.
The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because there isn’t a childcare option. My wife would have joined up, too, if we had the option of dropping our child off for an hour to work out.

I’ve been extremely unhappy with my last couple visits to this gym. I visited a few months ago and cut my visit short due to staff not enforcing mask policies. Decided to visit again and to my surprise, even less people wearing masks including staff members. I asked the person working the front counter if they could do anything and they said they would - they then continued to just sit and chat with the other person working the front desk. Super bummed to have purchased a year membership.
