We absolutely love this Ballet Studio! The teachers and staff are incredibly kind, supportive, and talented. My daughter has grown so much in both skill and confidence since joining (2022), and she truly looks forward to every class.
I read a one-star review and have to say I completely disagree. ABC offers a safe, fun and encouraging environment to learn ballet. They meet the kids where they are while still inspiring progress and passion.

One of the most impressive things is seeing the older dancers who have been with ABC since they were little girls. Their grace, dedication, and joy are a true testament to the studio’s positive and lasting impact.

Another thing that sets ABC apart is their commitment to full productions—they’re the only studio in the area that offers this, and it's such a magical experience for the dancers and families. We’re so grateful to be a part of this community!

Teachers are very nice, school is clean and buttoned up, but after watching many classes as my daughter attended two school years, I became disappointed in how little the students were actually learning and progressing. I expected more from this ballet school. Considering the prices, the students should be learning much much more. Even in the younger classes. I’ve attended taught dance classes, including ballet, for many years… and children are beyond capable to excel and advance while having lighthearted fun in their dance classes. We’ve been recommended another ballet school in town and are looking forward to trying it out this year!

I also attended ABC’s adult ballet class and though I love the teacher (she was my daughter’s teacher), she was very unprepared and did not lead a class that I felt was worth attending or paying for again.

I can not thank the teachers and director of this school enough!! Since taking the plunge into the world of dance I have seen my daughter grow and is continually surprising me with her new achievements. The staff is warm and friendly, they genuinely care about the families who attend the school ( I say families because once you enroll one child you will want to enroll your others as well!!) Valerie is one of the most giving people I have ever met, she has a huge heart and wants nothing more than to help enrich the lives of her students, in addition her teachers are among some of the most accomplished people I have ever met, they are tallented and educated! I can not recommend this studio more!

I came to Academie de Ballet Classique after my first summer of college. With Valerie's help I was able to learn real ballet technique in a safe manner. I continued to dance and perform with Academie de Balllet Classique on my school breaks and was eventually able to transfer to one of the top ten dance colleges in the US, and have now just begun my theater dance career. Valerie was an important part of my journey because from the first class I had with her she was willing to invest energy into correcting and teaching me as both an adult and someone with unique physical challenges. Over the years I have watched this same treatment be provided over and over again to any student who walks into class with a desire to learn. In my experience, not every dance studio has teachers who understand the science of ballet technique well enough to safely and constructively pass it onto their students, but Valerie is constantly expanding her already large knowledge base while while participating in continuing education opportunities alongside the other instuctors at the school. Further, not all dance studios are willing to seriously train students over the age of 18. This studio provided me with the help I needed at a pivotal time in my life and I always look forward to taking class there each time I return to my hometown.

ABC is the most welcoming and accommodating studio I have tried, and I have danced at many studios in my life. They are warm and friendly, with constructive help at excelling in dance, no matter if a toddler or an adult trying dance for the first time, or advanced students. The training is consistent and challenging, and the teachers do their best to help each student progress where they need to, without pushing them too far too soon. It is a positive dance environment for all, without judgment. Students will feel like they can try new things and dance their heart out without fear of not being "good enough." Very supportive, passionate, qualified owner and teachers at this studio! The only negative is a lack of organization with scheduling, communication, and small details here and there. But they try their best to serve the community equally! Also, ABC productions are beautiful and entertaining!!! Valerie Holgers has a huge heart for people, and it shows.

My daughter has been at ABC for two years. I know that it's important that children develop a love for their art/have an enjoyable time/be healthy while also learning a lot. All are important to their developing sense of themselves and the world. At ABC, she's had this experience with each instructor and the children around her. It's developed/continued a love for the art, she's had a lovely time in a healthy and skilled environment. We've loved it!

This was the first ballet class my daughter took and she loved it. Ms. Jessica was certainly the teacher my daughter adored and never forgotten. She still asks about her even though she's no longer taking her class. She was the teacher that always had a smile on her face, always patient and never rude. I would certainly come back except they are a little too over priced for a small dance school.

Certainly it's the best dance company we've ever been involved with, (and we've been to 3 different ones over my daughter's infatuation with dance). We recently moved about a half an hour from Bend and my schedule has made it so that I can't nail down enough time to take her all the way to ABC and she doesn't want to go anywhere else. Hmmm... it's a toughie. She even tried another ballet school near where we are and definitely prefers ABC. It's the caring atmosphere and level of training that Valerie and all of her teachers give, it's amazing. The shows they put on are ridiculously good too! We'll be back... just got to get the schedule situated. Love to everyone over there! We miss you!

ABC is a family of talented and committed individuals. I grew up dancing there and I am so grateful for the experience. The teachers. Ms. Val and Ms. Alesa have prepared me for a future in dance through professional training and encouragements. You are expected to work hard at the studio, but you will receive some of the best training at Academie de Ballet Classique in all of Central Oregon if you put forth the effort.

My 5 year old granddaughter attended beginning ballet. The classes were excellent with an emphasis on teaching the children proper ballet. Staff was very helpful. If you want to give your child a good start I highly recommend.

I've know Valerie for several years through my daughter who has taken lessons from her and others at her studio and received exceptional ballet training. My daughter still attends her classes whenever she is in town. I, as an adult, have enjoyed taking classes from Valerie for fun and exercise. She is a terrific person, knowledgeable teacher and excels in whatever she does, including teaching and performance productions. Academie de Ballet Classique deserves a 5 Star rating!

Ms Charrah does a great job with my daughters. My preschooler loves going to class and my 2nd grader is learning the art of ballet. The teachers pour their hearts into the children and they become great at ballet because of it.
