Great place to be a middle aged person working out with other like minded individuals. No judgement and they have met me where I am at. Not intimidating but good group workouts and encouragement from the staff. Great place to get back into shape.

I am finally fit, well and optimistic. For 20 years before this I have been in a pattern of 1. enjoying exercise for 6 months, then 2. injured, immobile and depressed for another 6 months repeatedly. For the first time, I am able to continue to work through pains with various areas of my body and KEEP MOVING! My Left knee bothers me a while but they give me a routine and it goes away.. then the shoulder…. Exercises are given. Each time it’s easier and It’s no longer a big deal. The smartest thing I did was to spring for the Small Group Training. It has been so worth it because it’s saved me hundreds in massages and wasted hours. Kandice, Mary, Carly, Jessica and Caitlyn have been tough but so patient and encouraging to my self doubt. They really know what they are doing and want to be of help to you. They are!

I started at Adapt to help recover from an injury. An initial assessment and plan successfully guided my recovery. Their focus on functional fitness has improved my everyday life dramatically, and as I continue to attend, my fitness continues to improve. I highly recommend Adapt for anyone - at any age - who wants to stay in good physical condition or who wants to "get back to where they where."

In 2008 I was introduced to ADAPT. After years of being overweight and out of shape I began a journey to health. It started with classes and PT at ADAPT. Every time I left the building I felt stronger and better in my body. Over time I found strength and confidence. Injuries I had thought would limit me forever fell to the side and movement became my new way of being. ADAPT got me through a broken neck, bad ankles, weak joints…you name it. I went from slowly and painfully aging to thriving. In my first 8 years I went from broken to winning an international championship and changed my outlook on fitness forever. I’ll never be able to put all of my gratitude into words. And all of this started in my forties. If you can, run to ADAPT to get started…if you can’t run, then walk…if you can’t walk then limp. You will be forever changed.

I’ve been attending group fitness classes at Adapt since 2019 and have experienced each class they offered. I enjoy the classes they offer because of the variety of movements and exercises that not only build cardiovascular efficiency and strength efficiency, but range of motion, balance, coordination and core strength as well. Anecdotally, since attending Adapt, I have experienced less over-use injury and more comfort and confidence while hiking, backpacking and cycling. Additionally, I’ve had nothing but positive interactions with other clients and have even developed a few friendships over the years. A big shout out to Carly, Caitlin, Jessica, Eric and Sheldon for consistently showing up to kick our arses, at times, provide some much needed laughs (or make us cry in pain) and motivate us as we pursue our goals.

I’ve been to many PTs/OTs over the years, working my way from a wheelchair to standing/walking more than once. ADAPT has helped me make tremendous gains over the past year in ways no one else has. The trainer, PT and massage therapist actually LISTEN, do a thorough evaluation, and figure out what needs to change from a system perspective, then create a personalized plan to make it happen. They are different. They focus on quality and correct movement patterns, not just bulking up. They understand how everything in the body is connected and relevant. I’m so glad I found them! Thank you ADAPT!!

I’ve been attending Adapt’s strength and cardio classes regularly for the last 3+ years, and after experiencing some lower back issues a while back and just generally being in my mid-40s it’s been a game-changer. I go through my days now with much more strength, stability and flexibility than ever before. Highly recommend; and you gotta stick with it! I attend 2-3 classes per week and I wish I could fit more in.

I feel more accountable toward my fitness and I feel great after a visit.

A couple of years ago, I was working out hard 5 times a week. Then I had a car accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Unable to do more than short walks for more than a year due to fatigue and unsteadiness, I started with physical therapy at ADAPT and I am now in breakthrough training. PT here is like nowhere else. Mary is your personal champion and gets good feels when you make it to small group breakthrough training. There, it’s more hard work but so rewarding. You can see and feel the results with personal attention. Kandice is an exceptional motivator. For the first time, I am really learning what’s good and bad pain and how not to compensate incorrectly to do whatever activity I want to do. There are times when I feel as comfortable in my body as I did as a child. And I’m in my 60s, so that’s saying a lot!

This is probably the best functional fitness gym in Beaverton. No other gym has made me feel so good—strong and fit but also flexible and stable. I've rehabilitated injuries as well as done off-season training for baseball there years ago. It's also crazy to see how well it keeps people who are 50 and older in shape and injury free.

Where do I begin. I woke up one January day with pretty bad pain in my low back and hips. I had been dealing with pain for years but this was different. By 8am I couldn’t walk. A visit to the ER got the inflammation down but the problem was still there. I started with a chiropractor and I also met with ADAPT and was lucky enough to have Mary as my therapist. Over 7 weeks she helped guide my body to feeling better than it had in years. We did what I refer to as movement supplements and I got to where I felt good enough to give up my chiropractor. That was 4 or 5 years ago and I still use the tools Mary gave me. ADAPT therapy worked for me and I would advise anyone who is feeling pain or discomfort to have a consultation. It changed my life.

Adapt Training is awesome! I have been working out/training/recovering here for about a little more than a year. I came to Adapt after trying various workouts but never seeing results or ending up hurt for months at a time. The classes are all amazing and the trainers are super great and helpful! I really enjoy working with Kam Harwood, and taking the BURN camp. If you need to jump start your lifestyle, need motivation, want to get into better shape, or even just maintain then Adapt is for you.

The Burn camp with Kam Harwood has honestly helped everyone that I have talked too. In the camp Kam focuses on all the aspects of your fitness the mobility, cardio, strength, and even helps with your nutrition. The best part about it is that any body can do it!

This place is just what I needed and still need. Yes, I've only been going here for physical therapy for about three weeks and have made 70% more progress than I did with regular PT. I've been suffering with neck and shoulder pain from car accidents and about 5 months ago fell down my stairs and hurt my tailbone and thoracic area (between shoulder blades). I was getting nowhere with 3+ months of regular PT and decided I would take my husbands advice and try this place. I am almost pain free. The best part is the physical therapist was like "I only want to see you 4 more times and then move on to the next step". Instead of milking me for every dollar with small step therapy that was not working, they are getting my body moving back to normal. I can't wait until I finish to see where I am at. Should have went here a long time ago.

This is one of the most enjoyable, unique, and effective workout experiences that I have EVER had. I used to play a lot of sports growing up, but like many people, I became less and less active in my adult years. Working out here has satisfied my longing to be active in "sport" again. The community is wonderful, the classes are never the same, and they are always fun and interesting. Check them out, they offer free trial classes to everyone.
