Went in to reinitiate my membership after they randomly canceled it (despite the fact that it's still being paid for and never stopped being paid???). And they're closed. The 24/7 fitness gym is closed. I am unamused to say the least.

This gym is disgusting the stair machine has been broken for months, the squat machine was broken before that. The cable machine breaks every other month. The restrooms are always filthy like piss and shit everywhere. The owners seem nice but neglect everything, won’t keep it clean, won’t fix the equipment

Cancelled my membership back in 2019 and it was a difficult process; writing about it now because it came up at work and I shared this experience with my team work. They got a good laugh and retriggered some unsettled annoyance I have with Anytime Fitness. After I cancelled my membership, I received a call from a debt collector and that was a process to clear up. I went in to the Albany location to clarify with the staff, it was a awkward interaction. I came in on a “guacamole Tuesday” and didn’t receive any clarity on the gap in the cancellation process. I just kept being told they have guacamole on Tuesdays (my internal thoughts were….did you just break up or is your husband cheating on you im so confused right now). Anyways, in 2025 after a staff meeting, I wanted to share my personal experience with Albany Anytime fitness. Moral of the story, if you cancel, double check and receive confirmation. This was a slight headache dealing with a invalid debt. Glad it got resolved.

Facilities are great and hours great. They seriously need a hygiene policy. Everyone sweats but this guy comes in stinky and fouls the air of the whole place, like Pig Pen, the odor lingers long after he leaves. About to get a Costco size axe body spray and unload. Signage would help too. The problem was not addressed or ineffectively addressed so I left for the brand new Planet Fitness! So pleasantly fresh! Lots of equipment and no offensive smells!

Clean facility. Cautionary Tail to share for especially young people. Like my daughter. Lifes tough, Doesnt matter your challenges, a hard time, just forget about subscription, or assume if you are not adding wear they wont charge you. The stores "collection agency" charges beyond what law usually allows (42.8% fees), Oregon allows up to 28% only after in courts. So know what kind of business this is before you agree to anything!

Great gym with friendly professional staff on duty. Very clean and modern gym with Rockbot at no additional cost. Two large shower rooms with a toilet and two additional bathrooms. Rarely too busy. Hopefully they will fix the massage table and possibly add a tanning bed.

The Albany anytime fitness has been the worst experience. Coming from Redmond 1.5 years ago my key would not work for this gym as promised. After purchasing a new key with money out of my own pocket, I am STILL always locked out of the gym. After going to several staff members about this issue they always tell me the same thing. "Redmond still has you as their member". As if it's my responsibility for AF to fix that? I have tried to QUIT this gym and was told I cannot quit this gym unless I go back to Redmond and do it in person. If this is how they treat their local military members, imagine how they will treat you. Do yourself a favor, go to any other gym in Albany. The people are better, the equipment is vast, and the odds of you suffering are minimal.

Impossible to start - the gym is locked and no staff shows until 11am, so their 24/7 aspect isn't helpful when trying to begin. Had to download an app to claim a free trial, yet after all that it just ended up requesting an appointment - you cannot open the door with the app. Just gave away all my info for nothing.

I felt extremely welcomed at this gym. I appreciate receiving guidance specific to my needs and goals and suggestions which are realistic for me to accomplish. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and they are very clear about the contracts for gym membership and cost. This being the only 24 hour gym nearby is also a plus! Thank you!!!

I asked upon starting my contract with them if I would be able to break it later without a penalty if needed. Was told yes. After several months of membership and using it a whopping 4 times I decided I should cancel it no issue right? Wrong got slapped with a huge cancelation fee after I pressed because they didn't give it as an option. So yeah unless you plan on using the gym a lot save yourself the hassle. It is an alright gym doesn't have a lot in it for weights and I could never get any time with a personal trainer they had but maybe your experience will be different.

Edit: As for the response that I received. I was told no when I came in to cancel until I pushed about it for 5 minutes before finally being given the option to buy my contract out.

We had a disappointing experience today. We exercise to release tension not get more. The manager, was confrontational over me not having my key to enter the facility because I entered with my wife. The situation could have been easily handled by asking us our name and a simple reminder to check in at the office. Instead we received a 10 minute 'shame on you for doing this'.While there we observed several people who came in who appeared to do the same thing and she let it go. The manager lacks people skills and how to deal with people kindly. General rule: NEVER embarrass the customer; speak to them privately or find a to make it a win/win for all.

I've been to many Anytime Fitness locations all over the country (and world if you count Australia). This is one of the finest locations I've been to. They have a lot of equipment, but more importantly they have a lot of space to put it in. They often have 10 or more people working out at a time, but the gym never feels crowded. It's also in a great location that's less than 5 minutes from my house.

The energy at this gym is ecstatic; from the membership staff, to trainers, to other members, it feels like a home where there is absolutely no judgement on how you look or where you are in your journey. The training staff is amazing and are so patient; the trainers Madison, Kayla, and Katie are top notch and are very experienced. Since I began my training I have been able to lift heavier weights and my flexibility has increased! I look forward to going to this gym everyday because of the environment that exists there! I highly recommend this gym and the training staff for either one on one trainings or team trainings, as you will make friends and develop a strong support system!

The gym is very clean and orderly.

The trainers are all very knowledgeable, friendly, and motivating(at least 2 of them are fitness competitors).

In the 9 Anytime Fitness gyms I visited, there was an incredibly wide range of different setups from gym to gym. I personally believe that Albany does have the best Anytime Fitness gym because of the amenities & layout.

What led me away from here though was the overall costs. It was $40 a month plus twice a year there was an extra service charge. The costs added up even further when I wanted access to the hydro massage. That was an additional $10 a month. Trainers or classes? More money still. The hydro massage is in the main room, so you always feel uncomfortable(although it feels wonderful).

I began a membership at another gym that looks like it will offer more bang for less than half the cost.

Very disappointed with this place. Went here for like 6 months no problem. But then it became very judgmental and not accepting. I had to cancel my membership and pay the termination fee because the members wouldn't stop harassing me about my lifts. You have to be a very specific person to go here it is definitely an intimidation free zone and if you lift heavy you will have problems. Very sad I have to find another gym. I have been a powerlifter for over 2 years and way before I went here. Like I said no problem for a long time and then all of a sudden this is what happens. 7/10 gym equipment 1/10 gym environment.

Their cancellation policy is pretty garbage. I paid for a year and a half upfront and then switched to physiq because I liked it better. I hadnt been there in at least 6 months when I started to get calls and emails asking me to update my billing information so that they can automatically bill me. In response I promptly notified them that I had switched gyms and wanted to cancel. Although it isnt a ton of money, they charged me $35 to cancel and required that I cancel in writing (which was an annoying additional step). I paid the $35 plus the $640 they charged me when I first joined which represents 19 months worth of membership. I feel like they got enough money out of me without requiring the $35 to cancel, but whatever, I took off work and drove down and paid $35 and was able to cancel it. It is water under the bridge now, but an annoying way to end the relationship that I felt other people should know about.

Love this gym! Been here since 2016. Super clean, good variety of equipment, and love that they're always open. The best part is definitely the staff! Super supportive, actually care about you and your health. This is the best local gym hands down! My home gym is in Albany, Oregon. This gym is super clean, friendly and has something for everyone from the bodybuilder to the treadmill walker and everything in between!

I love that I can get in a workout whenever and wherever best fits my schedule. I am a business owner and travel often. It's so nice to know that Anytime Fitness has my back and I can visit a club whether I am in Oregon, Arizona, California or any other part of the nation!

Decent gym, price may be a bit high for what it offers, but that's just based off the fact that I train like a body builder and they have a lot of cardio equipment for it's size. Could use 1 more squat rack or Smith machine, and a dedicated bench press but it works pretty well. Could stand to have better music playing since most of the people there after 7 aren't wanting to lift to fifth Harmony and other such music.

Facility is clean and is well kept up. I was traveling and I tried to get a 2 week pass and wasn't able to but paid $5 dollars daily however, the girl at the front office wasn't unpolite but she did make me feel almost unwelcome. Her attitude was very unwelcoming, staff can smile more and maybe have a better attidude while trying to talk to new possible customers.
