I can not recommend, the office manager canceled my membership and blocked my calls because I asked in the winter if there was a possibility of circulating the air more. My account was charged and I was denied access to exercise and the office manager was very aggressive, and unfriendly.

One of the best locations I’ve ever been to. You can tell this franchise owner cares. Like really cares. Must have recently been renovated or opened. Nice equipment and super clean facility. Lots of signs and clear communication. 10/10. Puts big city dirty locations to shame.

The only redeeming quality of this place right now is that the current steward, Cassi, is compassionate and ethically just.

That is about it. Until the issues at Anytime Fitness get solved, I would warn anyone against signing up there. The reason?

Nathan Fortlage

Be warned; he is a charlatan. On January 23rd, I went to him in order to close my account, I was under the impression that the original deal I had with Lynnette would be honored - that being I would be able to cancel whenever I wanted.

Not only was this request waved away unapologetically, he was adamant that no such stipulations would ever exist. I explained that the stipulations were due to me being a disabled veteran and at the time I was unsure of my income potential. Not only did he not care; he doubled down that no such stipulations would exist and that I signed a contract.

After being told that - I asked for him to cancel it, and to print me proof of the cancellation. Incapable of getting either of the printers to work in his office, he allowed me to take a photo of his screen instead which outlined the details of my membership.

The photo shall be enclosed.

Things of note:

For whatever reason, even though my contract started on the 18th of April, 2023; it would be renewed on the 16th of April, 2024, - thats pretty convenient - and then my membership would be cancelled on the 17th of April, 2024.

It wasn't until today - the 11th of June, when i noticed under 'pending payments' in my bank that there was a $19.99 charge for Anytime Fitness.

If there was a charge in June, more than likely i was being charged up until then as well; some quick double checking and wouldn't you know it.

Triple charged in April of 2024...AFTER...the supposed cancellation. (Photos will be enclosed).

Nathan not only lied to me, he took fraudulent action by not processing my cancellation request when it was clearly and plainly outlined at what date I would no longer have to pay for a membership.

Life is unfortunately hard enough without charlatans like Nathan Fortlage; individuals like him are a plight on any community, and if he is a representative of what the culture of Anytime Fitness is like - well, it speaks volumes and saddens me that we allow institutes and individuals like that to abuse our community.

It's a shame.

The only reason that there is anything redeemable about Anytime Fitness in La Grande now is because Cassie is the manager. If anyone can pull that reputation from the recesses of the abyss that Nathan put it in - it will be her.

The owner is desperate for money and will willfully violate the contract you sign with anytime fitness yet expect to still charge you. I moved away from La Grande, went through the process outlined in the agreement to cancel my membership, and months later anytime fitness is trying to make fraudulent charges to my account. Even after losing a dispute.

Management is rude and incompetent. Seems they can’t even keep up with the terms of their own agreements and are confused everytime I get them on the phone. Angry people, not a sign of a good work environment.

On top of all of the unprofessionalism the gym is pathetic. I would highly recommend club 24 instead.

It's a small gym. Kinda cramped. Seems like not a lot of people go here because the most I've ever seen is 3 people plus me at any given time but I avoid the mornings. Their equipment selection is adequate. Seems like theres enough variety for me to get a good workout but theres a couple things they dont have that I wish they did, like if you want to bench, you gotta pull up a dumbell bench and bench at a squat rack, and there isnt sufficient room to clean either. I'd probably opt for the Grande Ronde gym instead but I travel quite a lot so having a 24 hour gym that has many locations is a requirement for me.

If you have a student or are a student, do not sign up for a membership with this gym! They will lock you into a year membership and will only let you cancel if you have a utility bill in your name! They wouldn’t even allow a cancellation when my daughter sent them a copy of her rental agreement in another state. Unbelievable! And they don’t even offer a month to month student rate. ENTRAPMENT, Do not use this business!

First the gym is tiny and lacks basic equipment and the little bit they have don't plan on using it without waiting your turn and don't plan on canceling your contract the owner of the la grande Oregon does not and will not follow the cancelation policy set by his own contract avoid this gym like it's the plague Update wed,dec 2 the owner has responded pushing the idea that I was asking for special treatment when all I simply asked for was for him to follow his own rules in his gym contracts for anyone who reads this ask around this gym has a reputation for being like this try anywhere else but this gym

This gym is a 24 hr accessibility for members. The gym is always neat and clean, and it has a variety of great equipments..the staff members are nice and friendly..the backroom has a drop down screen that enables workout programs to be played, with many workout options available. All in all, it's a great gym!

I've been going to this gym since 2015, and I don't plan on changing anytime soon. With an odd work schedule, this is the only place I can go an workout when it's most convenient for me. The machines are in great condition and the gym is always well kept and tidy. The staff here are always ready to assist and answer any question you might have. Even if a machine breaks down and goes out of order, it is always worked on in a timely manner.

Benjamin was helpful & energetic. I was in the middle of a 10 day hunting trip and he didn't hesitate to make a shower available to me. I got to try out the equipment while waiting, and being a lifelong athlete, I can say the pictures accurately portray a well-rounded gym. I'd be grateful to have an equivalent setup on the Coast.

I rarely rate a gym 5 stars, but AnyFit La Grande...... HOT DAMN!!! I see why you were at 5 before I began typing this :)

Might be a small town gym, but from someone who spends months on the road, showering and working out at AnyFit, Ive seen dozens of locations and this one......... HOT DAMN!!!

Nicest shower rooms Ive ever seen. Plenty of room for us larger dudes.... the shower wasnt missing a mat and had a curtain 2ft off the floor like EVERY other location.... it was around a corner, so when I was done I didnt have to clean up the floor like I usually spend 10mins doing, and the dude workin there was awesome and a nice guy.

The whole place was spotless.
Cleanest AnyFit Ive ever seen.

Next time I roll through La Grande........

Anytime Fitness in La Grande is a great club. I appreciate the member-only access 24 hours a day, the cleanliness of the facility, state of the art equipment, and friendly staff. This club is worth the membership dues, and the personal trainers are energizing, positive, and sincere.
