Great place to improve ones fitness level. Andy is very much tuned into conditioning for those of us older than 50. Good equipment and solid assistance from Andy and he plays classical music!

Baxter fitness is a wonderful, warm and supportive gym tailored to the over 50's. It is comfortable and the people are great. Andy is a helpful teacher.

Baxter has recently relocated and is now on Helman St. between Van Ness and Hersey. I like Baxter Fitness Solutions because the owner/manager Andy Baxter has a lot of experience helping people over 50 to become more fit and healthy. It is never crowded, I love the rowing machines, and you get 3 free training sessions with Andy before deciding whether you want to sign up. The new location has been disappointing - I hope it's just growing pains? It's much noisier (due to cement walls/floor and a warehouse-type heating system), it smells strongly of disinfectant, there are few windows, and feels a bit grimy. Not the gym I know and love! I still enjoy going there, but it's not the same.
