About the Club

We believe a human's ability to move with precision and freedom is a key trait of a healthy system. The only material in the human body that serves to move us is our muscles, and that can only happen via the relationship of the muscle and nervous systems. Many modalities operate on the bias that muscles and other connective tissues can be stretched and released via passive lengthening techniques, however, we don't see this as an optimal approach to enhancing a person's movement and strength capabilities. Our goal for all clients is to help them move well, pain-free; in order to move well, we have to have a robust neuromuscular system that can contract on demand. We look forward to joining you in your health journey.

Whether you are dealing with chronic or acute injury, Bend Biomechanics provides a comprehensive service that begins with an in-depth assessment of physical limitations. Austin designs a personalized plan to promote healing and recovery, followed by a detailed and easily followed home physical fitness program to build strength and endurance. Austin really knows body biomechanics - he’s what you’d get if you could roll your physiatrist, physical therapist and trainer into one person!
Specifically, Austin helped me get through the acute phase of knee damage and inflammation and created a tailored plan to address muscle balance, strength and flexibility. There was no “one size fits all” approach like you can get from physical therapists and trainers. Simply put, the program WORKS because of Austin’s expertise and understanding of individual physical status and needs. Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ to Austin and Bend Biomechanics!

Many different professional have tried to figure out what’s wrong with my ankle, but after 6 months, Austin is the only person who was able to help me make meaningful progress. You need to come for a session if you have an injury or pain that just won’t go away.

Austin was very thorough in working with my past injuries and tweaked a personalized program to get my body heading in the right direction. I am not complete yet, but I’m excited to see what it looks like ahead.

Old injuries to my shoulder and neck left me with limited and painful mobility in the upper body. Two physical therapists, a chiropractor and strength training over the years have not helped me regain my mobility. I always felt like something was missing. 3 months ago I found Austin and now I can tell a different story. After the second session, I could already see improvement and I just keep getting better and better. At each session Austin evaluates my range of motion and strength, then teaches me some exercises to do at home in between my appointments. He creates my personal You Tube playlist and sends videos of how to do those exercises. I appreciate that so much because I know that I am doing them correctly. Austin's approach is unlike anything I have ever experienced, and it is definitely working for me! He genuinely cares about his clients and is always personable, friendly and professional. I am very happy to be working with him to get this 70 year old body moving better!

My husband was a hale and hearty athlete for most of his life; an expert skier, avid golfer, fisherman, and racket sport player who was always active. In 2021 he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, and just a few months ago he suffered a stroke that has even further impacted his quality of life. His physical decline has been rapid - the muscle rigidity and joint pain that he deals with make it really difficult for him to independently handle many of the activities of daily living. Austin's expertise, recommendations, and gentle support have been life-changing; adding a unique, common-sense perspective to the recommendations of traditional outpatient physical therapists. Traditional physical therapy touts "big movement" as a remedy for PD. However, for someone like my husband who suffers from Bradykinesia, large movement therapy was depleting, rather than helping, him. Austin is working with my husband weekly to rebuild the connection between his brain and body via prescribed small movements and non-traditional stretches that are allowing him to participate more comfortably in life. Austin is incredibly thoughtful, perceptive, and kind and we feel so lucky to have him as part of our care team.

Thanks to Austin at Bend Biomechanics, I can run again and move without knee pain! I have had knee issues for so long since dislocating it twice, and no amount of PT has done the trick. I was recommended to Austin for his personalized approach and continued assessment of how all parts of the body can influence pain in a particular area. Through just a few sessions, Austin was able to identify the root issues causing continued pain, and recommend personalized and hyper-specific exercises. Thanks to Bend Biomechanics, I am able to exercise at the same level I was before injury!

Austin genuinely cares about your well-being and health, and won't stop until the issue causing pain is solved. He is attentive to how my knee was responding to exercises, and pivoted his approach as needed to meet my personal goals. I highly recommend his services!!

I am a 65 year old woman and a retired dental hygienist who worked for 34 years in dentistry. I have chronic degenerative issues that I finally needed to address. I worked with Austin to help me get stronger and to deal with these specific issues regarding my neck and upper back.

I cannot recommend Bend Biometrics enough! From the very first session, Austin took the time to understand my goals, physical limitations, and overall health. He created a personalized exercise plan tailored specifically to my needs, which has been both effective and enjoyable.
Austin’s knowledge and professionalism are evident in every aspect of his work.

What truly sets Austin apart is his genuine care and encouragement. Thanks to Bend Biometrics I feel stronger, healthier, and more energized than ever before. If you're looking for someone who will go above and beyond to help you achieve your fitness goals, Austin and Bend Biometrics is the one!"

I’ve worked with Austin for almost 10 years. He knows my entire injury history and has created countless workout programs and exercises catered to my body and my weaknesses. I’ve never worked with someone as attentive and supportive of my personal and health goals.

If you’re someone who has suffered from injuries throughout your life and you’ve gone the PT and/or chiropractor route, but can’t quite get over the hill, go see Austin. I promise he will change the way you look at your body in the best way possible.

I've struggled for years with a nagging ankle mobility issue from an injury years back which limited my ability to move freely and hit the lifts in the gym that I want to. From his comprehensive assessment and targeted intervention strategies, we've made progress in the key areas that count for me without wasting any time. I'm super grateful to have met Austin – he's personable, professional, and an expert in his field. 10/10 recommend his services!
