The result of years of crazy outdoor activities is a slipped disk, a pinched sciatic nerve and crippling pain. The surgeons said major back surgery was the only fix. I have no interest in that, so I went to see Deb Bowen at Bend Pilates in search of a natural healing alternative. What a great move that’s turned out to be. After only 6 sessions the improvement is remarkable. I’m walking, standing, hiking, wading, lifting and rowing again. In time for ski season! Thank you Bend Pilates!

Pilates here has been a great experience with the friendly, focused and knowledgeable instructors. Bend Pilates has a variety of equipment and the facility is nice and clean. I've been taking private sessions there for about a year now and can't imagine going anywhere else.

A week or two ago I had a session with the owner, Deb, when another instructor was out. It was easy to see how her attitude and knowledge has had a positive influence on the other instructors and why this place has such a great atmosphere and energy.

Heidi Horden’s Pilates classes are absolutely fantastic!

Bend Pilates is a wonderful studio with great instructors.The studio has many types of equipment to focus on different areas using a variety of strategies.I work with Heather and am so happy to be on her schedule, yet I would trust any instructor for my workout. My personal experience has been that instructors are able to work with clients with physical issues/injuries and can advise on modifications to get a complete and safe session while feeling very successful. I started with an intro package 5 years ago. Attending sessions at this studio has made a huge difference in my health, strength and flexibility. Thank you Deb and Heather.

I’ve been going to Ben Pilates several times a week for about a year now, and I can’t recommend it enough! The classes are challenging in the best way, helping me build strength, flexibility, and confidence. Heather is my regular instructor and she is absolutely amazing—she’s encouraging, attentive, and always finds the perfect balance between pushing me to grow and making sure I feel supported.

I’ve also had the opportunity to take classes with several of the other instructors, and they are just as fantastic. Each one brings their own style and energy, but the consistent thread is how knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely caring they all are.

Bend Pilates is a fabulous studio. After developing hip pain from a fractured L1 in my spine, I reached out to Deb, the owner. I was skeptical that anything would help since physical therapy did not resolve the pain. Deb educated me on the benefits of Pilates. I began working with Carolyn, twice a week and never stopped. I now have zero hip pain and my balance & strength also improved. All credit goes to Carolyn, an advanced instructor who is a delightful, patient, knowledgeable and listener sincerely to her client. I highly recommend Carolyn to anyone seeking the benefits gained from the practice of Pilates😍

After doing Pilates for several years before moving to Bend six years ago, I was anxious to find a new place here to continue with Pilates. Not only did I find a place, I hit a home run. I have had private sessions for the past six years. Usually once a week and on occasion twice a week. Debby has been my trainer and sometimes I have had another trainer. They are all fantastic. Debby is excellent. She has helped me in so many ways…posture, my core, stretching, etc. And when I have had certain “orthopedic” issues, she has been a huge help in treating them. have learned so much from her and the others as well. Also, Debby has been a great resource giving me referrals for physical therapy, an orthopedic doctor, among others. The studio is great…roomy and easy to have a private session even when a class is ongoing. It is also easy to book times with her. Overall, I cannot imagine a better Pilates studio and staff to help me stay in shape. I am 75, and while I hike a lot and go to the gym several times a week, Pilates is a critical part of my fitness program, and I am so grateful that I found Debby and Bend Pilates. If I could rate higher that five stars, I would.

As a trail running rat, I didn’t expect to spend much of my summer indoors until I injured my hip in a big way. I was recommended to add Pilates to my PT to aid recovery, and I couldn’t be happier that I did. I attended both group classes and private sessions and they delivered so much sneaky strength and rehab that I find myself now, end of summer, back to more mobility than I could have expected. Heather in particular has been a phenomenal instructor: challenging, attentive, patient, and did I mention challenging? She focused on every part of my body system from the arches of my feet, to the space left under my back, to ways my right and left shoulder behave differently. Pilates is now an every week commitment for me, back to running or no. Highly recommend Pilates, Bend Pilates, and Heather.

Bend Pilates is an incredible place to practice and learn Pilates. The teachers are all excellent—my personal favorites are Jump with Heather, Reformer with Alexa, and Core Align with Caroline. The studio is spacious and has every piece of Pilates and strength training equipment you could ever ask for. Additionally, the people who practice here are delightful and range in ages and abilities; there is something for everyone and teachers are keyed into students’ various needs and injuries. I started Pilates 10 months ago with the goal of finding a consistent method to manage chronic lumbar pain. Deb Bowen and her team at Bend Pilates is second to none. Bend Pilates is by far the most beneficial studio experience I have ever enjoyed!! I came to Deb and her team of super skilled instructors with a severe labrum/rotator cuff tear that WAS. NOT. Wow Bend Pilates is awesome and Debby Bowen is the best. I just took my first lesson today and already I am rearranging my schedule to come back as much as possible. I am a pilates novice and came to Bend Pilates looking for any and every way to extend my athletic life as I age. From Deb, I can see that pilates and movement is the way to go, and you just have to practice and integrate it into everyday life. I am grateful that she has already showed me ways to perfect my form and release problematic muscles, explained the justification for certain movements, and encouraged me to start right in with classes. I've been attending classes at Bend Pilates for over a week and have to add a second review to emphasize how great this place is. Every single person I've met with or taken a class from has left me with a key, new take-away, typically something I can work on daily at home to improve my body posture and reduce injury. The instructors at this studio perfectly mix being warm toward the clients with being no-nonsense so the client can get some work done and improve. I am so happy with Bend Pilates!
