Burn Boot Camp is Amazing!! After two kids and burn out from being a stay at home mom, I new I needed something I could do for ME. I heard about Burn before moving to Corvallis and tried it out before I’d even been in town for a week… I fell in love after the first camp! The trainers are encouraging, the community is inspiring, and the childwatch just sells it! Burn is the high point of both mine and my kids day, and has been a huge outlet for my both in my physical and mental health!

I’ve always wanted to join a gym community but have no idea what I’m doing in the gym. Like, at all 😜 My first time in the Burn gym, I was immediately impressed by how welcoming and non intimidating everyone was. I probably looked like a deer in the headlights, but nobody made me feel stupid in any way. After being a regular member for about a month now, it still feels like a safe and non judgmental space. I feel so welcome here! Also, my kids love to play in the child watch area. The fact that I know they’re happy and well cared for makes it so I can actually enjoy my workout :)

I have just recently started at burn boot camp and it has been one of the best choices I made. The staff are so supportive and inviting with a good attitude. Everyone is very welcoming and you know it’s always gonna be a good workout! The staff are there to help you as a coach and as a friend. Even at 5am they are always pumped and ready to go!

I write this review not to hurt a business, but to let parents who might use child watch at burn boot camp know what kind of child care my son received there.
A big part of what burn boot camp offers members is their child watch resource. I brought my son to my first workout with burn last month. My son just turned two and I am a stay at home mom and he has never once been in a daycare setting, only having been watched by his grandmas. As my son and I went into the first class/first childcare, my goal was to ease my son into it, daycare being a brand new setting for him. I got there early and had a conversation with the child watch staff and said that if he cries to please come get me so he can have a positive first time and get used to being there. I was specifically asked “how many minutes are you okay with him crying before we come get you?” I responded “zero. If he cries tears please come get me.” Now I realize some parents subscribe to “crying it out” or the tough love perspective like “he needs to get used to it”, and every parent has the right to make the choice of how they deem best to raise their kids, but that is not how my husband and I are raising our son. We are strong attachment parents, who offer support and love to our kid when he’s afraid or sad. After the class the staff wanted to talk to me about signing up and I told them I wanted to check on my son first. I went back there to hear a child crying and the sounds were unfamiliar to me so I thought it wasn’t my son. Once I came around the corner I saw my son red faced, writhing on a woman’s lap. He was hyperventilating so hard he gagging and coughing. I asked how long he had been crying and she said “probably 5 minutes”. I doubt he could get that worked up in 5 minutes, but if he did, I had requested to be fetched immediately if he got upset. What I saw in my son in that moment is a level of distress that I believe that if any child reached that point, regardless of the parents preference or “cry limit” they should have been fetched from the work out floor.
As I left burn that morning I felt violated. I had trusted them with my child and they had directly went against my wishes and put my son through a scary and unnecessary experience. Now, regardless of whether or not the management at burn boot camp believe that kids need to “suck it up” so mom can work out, going against a mothers wishes in that setting is not good for their business. If a parent like me who subscribes to responsive parenting has a child who is deathly afraid of being left in the child watch room, that parent is not going to leave them there while they work out. The big draw about burn for me was their child watch, so if I’m not going to use that resource there are plenty of other gyms to pick from. Maybe my son never would have liked being left there even if I had had the chance to ease him into it, but burn boot camp didn’t give me the opportunity to try. My son has a great memory and remembers how scared being at burn made him feel. Weeks after the event we were walking into petco which is located right next door and he got scared we were going to go into burn.
I have never seen my son that upset and after the workout I got in the passenger side of my car, holding him as he sobbed and I cried a little too. It’s so hard being a mom to a young toddler and when you put yourself out there to try new things like joining a gym and putting your child in child watch, you are making yourself vulnerable. I will never go back to burn after this experience. I told management briefly what had happened as I carried my son out of there that day, and then burn management and I played phone tag for a few days. Ultimately, whatever they have to say during a phone call doesn’t change that my son and I had the experience we did. Management knows what happened so hopefully they can re train child watch staff according. I am now going to OrangeTheory and love it.

The coaches are not prepared to help fat people. Went here a few years ago. When I needed a break because the exercise was too intense and my heart was racing over 200 bpm and I felt a burning pain in my chest, I was yelled at for not keeping up and not rejoining the exercise soon enough. I guess they thought I just had a motivational problem. I repeatedly tried to explain what was going on but the berating did not stop and I was not taken seriously. I can only conclude that this is a gym for skinny, fit, wealthy people and not for me. A qualified fitness coach would have understood my needs as soon as I mentioned my heart rate.

Working out has been a journey for me with a lot of ups and downs, but joining Burn Boot Camp has given me that extra nudge I've been needing. The trainers take time with everyone, offering support and encouragement and pushing you to never give up. The workouts are hard in just the right ways and set up so that you can pick and chose what days to go, or just commit to going every day without the fear of burnout or fatigue. The community of men and women that have joined Burn are just as supportive - everyone is rooting for everyone. Lastly, the option of having child care has been a game changer. The child watch staff are kind and knowledgeable and put your mind at ease while you complete your workout. I'm impressed every day, and feel like I've accomplished something when I leave.

Don't get me wrong; It seems like a great place to work out at. My problem lies with the open doors/open noise policies that disturb my slumber around 5am. Being a tenant in the surrounding Timberhill Apartments area, I seek a measure of peace and tranquility (during the hours of dawn in which BBC operates) that would normally be afforded to any person holding a lease in the area. That being said; PERSONALLY, I don't enjoy being jolted out of a sound sleep with cries of, "Three! Two! One! C'mon y'all!"

When i did the trial it felt great to be pushed to my limits and be a part of something big. However, it is very pricey. I spent about $1200 that year and the prices have gone up since. No longer a member. Staff was very friendly and made you feel important. Now, it seems like management has been taking steps in the wrong direction with this branch. It's overcrowded making working out a little difficult. It gets hard trying find the correct weight you need and not enough room to do burpees, etc. I wish they ficused more on form instead of pushing for fast, quick reps. Its easy to get yourself injured if you dont know what you're doing. Which staff tries to intervene during your workout to help out with form. But they cant get to everyone.They also got rid of late afternoon workouts. So if you have an office job that closes at 5-5:15pm. Theres no chance for you to make it to class unless you have time to go in the early AM or Saturday workout. You can hear the gossip amongst staff/management which should be kept quiet from the customers. It's just progressively going down hill and I don't think it's the staff's fault either--turn over rate has been increasing. Maybe the owner needs to brush up on leadership skills and less like a chismosa?
But they do have great child care services for parents! Good luck on your fitness journey everyone!

I started up during the 20 camps in 28 days challenge in January 9. Just did my 24th class this morning, and am surprised with how easy it has been gettIng myself to go work out each morning. I’ve been needing to do regular exercise for quite a few years, I just kept making excuses. No more excuses, after 4 weeks, I can feel a difference in my stamina, attitude, and am enjoying becoming healthier, The staff are very energetic, which I need some mornings, but I always feel better after going and am realizing how important it is to do something just for you on a daily basis, and Burn has definitely filled that niche.

I’ve been a member for about 4 years! In the past, I tried many different workout videos and classes, and always lost the motivation to continue after 1-2 months, ~8 months was the longest. I love how Burn offers different workouts everyday (lower/upper body, cardios, athletics, etc), so I am always motivated coming to the classes, 4-5x a week. If you have limited mobility, pregnant, or just recovered from injuries, the trainers can modify the moves so that you don’t hurt yourself. The staffs and the members are all friendly. I made a couple of good friends there too! At the risk of sounding too cliche'.....truly life changing. I have never stuck with a gym or a workout program and am coming up on three years with Burn. What got me is really the times and childcare. Its very convenient. There are a ton of time options but I go right after I drop my kids off at school and am still home by about 9:45. I am already out of the house for drop off so there is really no excuse for me to not swing by for a 45 min class. When my younger has no school I bring her with me and she always enjoys her time there.
I love each and every trainer. They are always so helpful with form and somehow seem to be able to pay attention to each of us even in a bigger class. They always push me to do just a bit more, but never more then they know I can handle.

Burn is a great place to workout! With a high energy atmosphere, encouraging trainers, and not one workout is ever exactly the same you will leave every without feeling accomplished. But Burn is so much more than just a gym. The biggest thing about it is the community. Each day the work out is different, so you’re always working different parts of your body and never board. Also the workouts are for all levels. So if you are brand new to exercise or an elite athlete you can get a great work out at your level.
Most importantly, everyone there is so kind! The staff, trainers, and members are so welcoming and want to see you succeed.
Bonus, the whole workout is done on a floating floor (like a gymnastic floor), so it is easier on your joints. Also, childwatch is included at no extra cost!

LOVE LOVE LOVE BURN BOOT CAMP! I have had a membership at basically every gym in town and I cant say I have liked any of them as much as burn. At burn you don't just get an amazing workout but you join a community. We all support one another without judgment and the childcare is AMAZING! Workouts are designed so that you can go daily without fatigue and they are awesome about accommodating to an injury or just being new to the workout game. I need to go regularly so that I can keep up the routine. Its easy to let life get in the way and not take time for yourselves (especially us mom's) but the gals at burn with motivate you to keep coming. Everyone on the burn team is so phenomenal, they keep you accountable and push you to be the best version on yourself. Burn has not only been amazing for my physical body (seeing results like I have never seen with another workout) but more importantly my mental health. I look forward to going to camp everyday and that is a new feeling for me in regards to exercise.

This is my favorite place to workout! It's an amazing community of humans and trainers who want the best for you and your health goals. I personally had my knee reconstructed and anytime a move is giving me trouble I quickly raise my hand and the trainer comes over and gives me a custom move to do. This is a place for everyone and for those with kiddos they offer free child care for camps.

I’d never heard of BurnBootCamp but I’m so glad Alan and Meg brought it to Corvallis. I love the mix of strength and cardio workouts. Burn is fun, positive and hard (in a good way). I always leave camp feeling proud and accomplished of myself and those around me.

Burn Boot Camp is a wonderful community of people to work out with. I actually ENJOY working out for the first time in my life. A year ago, i would have laughed at someone who said they enjoy working out, now if i miss camp too many days in a row I really miss it! Burn has helped keep my accountable to my goals and has helped me to gain a lot of strength! I cant believe how different i feel in just a few months. Highly recommend!

I can't think of a time in my life where I refused to miss a day if at all possible. I can't think of a time in my life when I WANTED to workout 6 days a week! Until NOW! I absolutely love Burn Boot Camp here in Corvallis. The atmosphere is so wonderful and encouraging. It is challenging every single day. The trainers can mod things up or down for you based on your fitness levels or due to injuries. Everyone is so kind, it's really like a family. I am so thankful Burn came to Corvallis. From day one the staff and trainers have been motivating and kind.
I love the atmosphere, from the great music, the encouragement, the ability for the trainers to modify the workouts to your level of fitness. It is always clean and plenty of variety in the weekly workouts ( protocols) .

Burn created a safe space for me to walk into and be able to do the hard work. To get outside of my comfort zone and make the changes I needed to. The staff is so warm and inviting and the trainers are by far the best around. The training staff is knowledgeable and where able to meet me where I was physical and still push me to get the best workout I could. Burn is the best 45 min of every day!

I had to share about this gym because its like none other I've ever been to. They don't only have the top notch trainers who support you guide you and challenge you all the way, you come away with a community of people who do all those same things. I'm telling you this gym is for everyone and anyone no matter what fitness level you're at. The trainers will give you mods to support your journey right where you're at. Burn is the most welcoming, motivating gym I have ever been to. I love the variety in workouts, the intensity, the energy of the staff and the people that attend, and the attention to detail of the trainers who make sure that everyone can have a successful workout. It doesn’t matter who you are or what your fitness level is, they are SO supportive and want everyone to succeed. It really fills a niche here in Corvallis, especially because the monthly fee includes childcare. If you’ve been considering trying this place definitely check it out for a trial, you will not be sorry.

A friend reintroduced me to Burn Corvallis. I have been going for about 2 weeks, and it is everything I needed. Doesn’t matter if your new to working out, a long time exerciser or just need some motivation to get back in it, burn will meet you where you are at. This has now become a non-negotiable for me. It was a pretty decent cardio workout...just keep track of your trial period...I drove 15 miles tonight and it had ended yesterday lol...so they didn't let me in w/o joining. I'm not sure it's for me but it is good for many folks who go.

Burn Boot Camp Corvallis is absolutely fantastic. It’s always a positive, supportive, and upbeat atmosphere the moment you walk in. Auggie, Head Trainer, is one of the most lively, inspirational, down to earth, and fun person you will meet and one who will be there to help you with your health, fitness, and nutrition goals. Same with Alan, co-owner/trainer who is also very energetic, motivating, and friendly. ALL of the staff are amazing, kind, and very knowledgeable! I’ve been attending for roughly 5 months and have gained so, so much—increased energy, strength, confidence, motivation, stamina, friends, and more! BBC is truly a blessing and life changing for me. My anxiety has long prevented me from doing what I wanted and BBC has helped me become a much stronger and happier person. It’s truly worth it if you are looking for positive changes and need a little help kickstarting your journey to become a better you. There are usually free trials available, just hop into the front desk area and ask! Saturdays and Holiday class times are open free to the community too. I absolutely love my 6:30 pm co-ed class of which my brother attends as well! Workouts are all you, your mind and your body with modifications down or up available for ALL fitness levels and/or any injuries. I don’t utilize the free childcare, but have heard much positive feedback from the Moms and Dads who do. Come check it out! I definitely have plans to stick with Burn Boot Camp Corvallis long term!

It is always super intimidating starting a workout program. But Burn is a place of the most extreme, genuine encouragement and support I've ever been to. Everyone who walks through the doors is given credit for doing something, for making a change. So you can be a couch potato who has never lifted a weight in her life, or a fitness buff who loves the gym. Both extremes and everyone in between will get a fantastic workout and will leave the gym with confidence and a sense of accomplishment.
Personally, I have some pretty bad wrist problems that can make certain moves difficult. The trainers always make sure I'm doing ok and not in pain and never ask me to go past my limit. They are willing and able to accommodate anything. I love that they treat me (and everyone else there) like a special, worthy individual.

Burn Boot Camp Corvallis is amazing! I've had a membership at another gym and haven't been in years due to lack of interest and motivation. Burn Boot Camp has turned that around. They have a very positive, supportive, encouraging staff and atmosphere. The work-outs are different and very challenging , yet fun every day. Not gonna lie; I'm sore everywhere, everyday, but it's a good kind of sore. I can't say enough good things about the trainers and employees. Everyone including Alan and Meg the owners, Auggie, Chris, and Ben are so friendly and knowledgeable; they greet me by name every day! The head trainer, Auggie, is the best! His work outs are tough but effective. He's very knowledgeable about diet and nutrition and he provides you with a diet plan at every focus meeting. Focus meetings are included and recommended; they monitor your weight, inches, body fat and nutrition and diet plan. After every work out Auggie leaves us with a thought for the day, reminds us remember why we came to camp, and encourages us to stay positive and stay focused. All the women and men that participate are friendly and support each other. In just 6 weeks my life has changed for the better in many ways beyond weight loss. I've lost inches and body fat, am building muscle, and have a better attitude and outlook on life, am in better mood, am more productive at work and more relaxed and effective in my hobby of riding horses. Looking forward to my next work out!

Burn Boot Camp is a one-of-kind community supporting each other to be stronger than when you first walked through the door. I have loved EVERY day at Burn - I love that I am supported and pushed (in a good way) to be a better/stronger woman and mom.
