My expirence at chalk is normally very fun and I have a great time. But this time I called and asked if there was open gym and they said that there was open gym. When I got there it turned out that there was gymnastics all day long and I couldn’t use the main part of the gym. The lady I asked was very sassy, when I was upset that they false advertised open gym on there site. Only being able to use one part of the gym is NOT open gym. I wasted my time and money to not even able to use the fun things chalk has to offer.

The facility is nice and they have a lot of options for classes but the customer service is awful. We had three classes cancelled on us. One class we showed up to had a no show teacher, one was cancelled ten minutes before class started and one was cancelled with sufficient notice. We were given a class credits with a short expiry period. For us that wasn’t a great option since we had paid for the year in full and the class credit would expire before we would have the chance to use it. We emailed about getting a refund and the owner was so rude and had no interest in working with us since she already had our money.

A friend told us about Chalk’s Summer Camp, so we checked it out when visiting Hood River for the summer. We absolutely loved it. My two sons (3 and 5) are usually pretty clingy to me, and had only been to 3 hours of preschool a couple days a week before this. They stayed all day, 9-3, and couldn’t wait to go back the next day. All of the staff/coaches were so gentle, kind and welcoming. There was free play in the gym, art, songs, activities, and a field trip every day. We are already looking forward to next summer.

We are from Portland and just discovered this gym as part of a ski-training program. What a great spot. The facility is great with a ton of variety of movement options / equipment, the owner was very friendly, and the coaching was great. What a great recreation / social option for our kids after the long days of digital learning.

My 3 year old loves the open play. He gets to run, climb, bounce, swing his little monkey heart out and always takes a good nap afterwards. We go often! Great place for a rainy day or just something different to do. Thanks Chalk!

Me and my son have a blast at chalk. To be completely honest lots of times doing toddler activities all day every day is mind numbing, but when we go to chalk we equally love playing and goofing around. Can't wait till he's old enough to enroll.

Love the staff! We have had tried several Gymnastic companies in the past and have encountered many coaches unwilling to really teach. These coaches love what they do and do it well. They offer lots of classes, lots of opportunities to enjoy the equipment outside of class and are always friendly. Highly recommend.
