They have many rules and policies, a few of which even make sense. Selectively enforced, of course.

If you’re an experienced lifter, you will probably feel as if you’re under constant suspicion of the dreaded heresy of Meatheadism, even if you’re an extremely courteous and thoughtful patron. It’s a Planet Fitness vibe, with all sorts of ad hoc 8.5 x 11” signage reminding you of all the awful and onerous things that weightlifters often do, couched in needlessly condescending language. Not to mention a canned voice on the intercom regularly reminding you to rerack your weights. Which of course you should do. But the soft-touch authoritarian atmosphere is absolutely suffocating. “Don’t forget to keep your hands on the steering wheel when you’re driving” probably sums up the vibe.

Club fit has been a great discovery in our move to Canby. It is clean, well run, and the equipment/setup is GREAT. I knew it would be good for us, but I had no idea HOW good. We are experiencing noticeable improvements in our strength and overall health and mobility. Kudos to the owners and team who manage the gym so well.

This place is great! I am not local but I get a few days or weeks passes whenever I visit the area - and I keep coming back - for many good reasons!

The space is very clean - I often seen the team vacuuming or wiping down machines on rotation; there’s plenty of machines - weights or cardio - I’ve never had to wait for a machine; and the staff is very friendly and helpful - they remember me when I come back, even after months have passed!

Great equipment, great price, and local. I have been going here for 4+ years now, and I do not trust another gym near as much. Staff are kind and help keep the place very clean. I've seen the inside of other gyms, and this one is in tip-top condition. Whether it's a 5am workout or a 7pm lift, you'll be greeted with energetic folk ready for the day. Definitely sets the tone for your lift. And if you forget your headphones, the playlist in the gym is quite good too.

Very clean facility, good variety of equipment, friendly staff. Limited class schedules, & wish they had an indoor track. The main thing that could make it better is replacing the very snarky voice that comes out through the speakers repeatedly reminding customers of their policies. It's also annoying I can't talk on the phone while exercising and have to stop my workout and take the call outside or in the lobby. A phonecall is no different than talking to a friend on a nearby machine and passes the time quicker, so it's a hassle.

I have belonged to Club Fit since I moved to Canby in 2011. I absolutely love this gym! I have belonged to many gyms in my lifetime, and this one is by far the best!!! I love how clean it is. I love the people there. I have made very good friends. It also has all the equipment that I need for whatever I am in the mood to do! And Ron, he is the best. He is always trying to make things better. He also helps out the community as well as donating to great causes.

Referring to a previous post about the young man that was "chastised" by the owner, I witnessed that transaction and that is not what happened at all. The same young man has a history of lifting unsafely and the staff has done nothing but go out of their way to educate and encourage him. Ron has taken a lot of time personally to help that young man learn to be safe but he continued to ignore the advice of staff and other members. There was no screaming, cussing, or berating that happened, only instruction on safety. It's not about how much weight he was lifting but that he was not in control and was at risk of injuring himself and those around him.

Awesome gym, awesome owner, veteran owned, and all the equipment you need for a great workout (plus early morning “boot camp” type classes for those who like that kind of thing :)). I’ve been coming to this gym for years and love that it’s clean and organized. Ron is one of the best people I know, and the work he does with his clientele and in the community is outstanding.

After going here for over ten years, I took a break during the Pandemic. When I tried to re-enroll I was informed that Club Fit no longer is admitting Seniors with Medicare Advantage Insurance. I asked the management to review my request since I was a long term customer. They still refused to take the insurance and said I could join with a 10% off discount of the cash price. When I followed up a few weeks later I was still informed that they would not take "Medicare". As others have noted, I found the staff here rude. Personally I think this policy is discriminatory. Why turn down good customers who have medical insurance to pay for gym memberships??? In any case with this kind of treatment I would rather vote with my feet and go to another gym. I recommend you follow me. These guys don't deserve the business.

Wendy and Bud are one of the rudest people I have ever met. Wendy promised certain promotions the day I went and then weeks later stated that she had never “promised” those things. Both her and Bud were very rude to my family and I several times. In person and over the phone. I don’t recommend going to this gym. Take your money elsewhere. Even when I was member there, it sucked. It smelt bad, had pervy men, old equipment and rude staff. The only reason I tried to go back was to help a locally owned business. However, it is 2021 and we should not accept people who are NOT kind. Even tho they have been there for years, let’s stand up to the bullies.

It stinks and the owner is so rude a 13 yr went to visit the place. He wasn't even touching the machines & was kick out place. I don't recommend this place definitely not great for a peaceful work out, I was going to rate them 2* & was suggested by another person working out that this place doesn't even deserve that, that's why I'm eating 1 *
